How to Reject the Spirit of Rejection - Kathy DeGraw

How to Reject the Spirit of Rejection

I feel a real stirring in the Spirit realm. There is a strong presence of the Lord manifesting and I feel the unction for deliverance.
I prayed, Father, what do you have for your people? I couldn't ignore as I started my day that I felt the Lord wanted people delivered. This is the hour, this is the time. He was revealing to me that the rejection has to be rooted out of us, if we are to root the rejection out of others and help them in these final hours before the Lord comes.
The Lord is appearing in the splendor of His glory. He is going to manifest, but first He needs us to make a difference; He needs us to make an impact; He needs us to exude the love of God. How can we exude the love of God when we are filled with rejection?
Rejection leads to bitterness and offense. When we feel rejected by someone, we build bitter feelings and offense toward them.
God wants us to leave the bitterness behind. He wants us to move forward in a newness like the fresh morning rain. He has more to give us. He desires to bless us. He wants us to remove those things from our lives that hinder us, that make our heart sore and sour inside of us. He desires for us to be upright, forgiving and loving. He desires for us to release people from the offenses they have committed against us.
Our minds need to be bound to Christ's way of thinking and to the Word of God. Several times a day the enemy plagues our minds with negative thoughts and our flesh rises up. These thoughts must be taken captive (2 Cor. 10:4-5).
Each and every thought must be taken captive and cast down. Rejection builds up when we take those thoughts in and take ownership of such thoughts. Instead of casting the thoughts down we take them in and allow them to build strongholds in us. Each time we own a thought and don't cast it down, it is part of a platform that we build inside of ourselves. We build up that rejection with each and every thought that comes our way.
We must take ownership not of the thought, but of removing the thought. We have something to do about our situation. The choice, the decision, is ours.
What choice and decision are we going to make? We must not believe the lies, but instead believe what the Word of God says about us. We are chosen, loved and favored! We sit high up in the heavenly things, have access to the throne room of God and have authority over the thoughts in our mind!
Rejection manifests because we don't take captive thoughts and dismiss them for what they are: lies and distortions of who we are. The Bible says who we are and whose we are. Do you believe you are seated in heavenly places? When we renew our minds, when we close the doors to the lies and know we are accepted by God, then and only then will we not allow rejection to penetrate our heart and mind. We will keep our heart and mind connected to Christ Jesus and what He says about us.
Will you hear him? Will you hear the voice of your Beloved or will you hear the voice of the evil one and your flesh rising? Don't listen to people and what they say about you. Listen to the voice of the Lord, because He is calling you out of destruction, out of the darkness and out of the spirit of rejection into victory. You have the victory of Christ Jesus inside of you, start living out and walking out that freedom by taking each rejecting thought and dismissing it for the lie that it is!

Favor: Having It, Keeping It, Increasing It. - Robin McMillan

Favor: Having It, Keeping It, Increasing It.

activating-gods-favorThe favor of the Lord enables us to accomplish His purposes and live supernaturally blessed lives. Over the years I have seen favor ebb and flow in my life, in lives of others, and in different ministries. How do you get it, how do you keep it, and how do you increase it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Ask

How do you get favor? Every good thing comes from God: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:17). To have favor, we must ask: “Yet, you do not have because you do not ask” (James 4:2b).

My Favor is for You

In the context of asking James also said, “You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures” (James 4:2b-3).  When we don’t understand that God gives us favor primarily for others, we are in danger of losing or diminishing that favor. Motives matter. Paul wrote in I Corinthians 14:1&12, “Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” And, “Even so you, since you are eager for spiritual gifts, let it be for the building up of the church that you seek to excel”. In the context of the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit Paul wrote the love chapter, I Corinthians 13. The ‘more excellent way’ Paul spoke of in I Corinthians 12:31 is using the gifts of the Spirit in expressions of love for the benefit of others.  My favor is for you, and your favor is for them.

Being Thankful

John the Baptist said,  “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven” (John 3:27). We thank God to acknowledge that what we have, what we can do, and what we are, He has given us as a free gift. Being thankful also has the potential to increase our favor. “…God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble” (I Peter 5:5).  Honest heart felt thanksgiving is manifest humility and attracts the grace of God.

Loving People Period

People know if we really love them. Peter wrote: “Honor all people…” (I Peter 2:17). Intentionally showing people honor is a very simple way to practically show them love. Then they are open to what we can bring them. Often we reserve our love for those we approve of or those who love us. Of that Jesus said, “…love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?…(Matthew 5:44-46). We will ultimately only influence people we truly love.

Bitterness Free Authenticity

The proliferation of social media has tainted this current generation like no other, either by hype or hypocrisy. Many long for authenticity and authentic believers. Becoming authentic is often a painful and expensive process, and many who have suffered have become bitter. God isn’t interested in promoting people whose favor is soured by bitterness. Be real, but don’t be critical. That will certainly diminish your favor level.

Imparting Hope

The level of our influence will rise to the level of our ability to impart legitimate hope, the joyful confident expectation of good. Hope is one of the primary missing ingredients in not just the world but the church as well. If we don’t have hope we must realize we have bought into an inaccurate theoligical/cultural belief system. Hopelessness is its ‘witness’ that that belief system is false.
Hope is the atmosphere where favor thrives. We are serving the ‘God of all hope’ and living inside us is Christ ‘the hope of glory’. Divine hope is part of our spiritual DNA. Let that hope arise in your heart now and may your favor increase.

Mystic MooseTales: Redefining Wildlife
My primary purpose for writing MooseTales is to impart two things to the current generation: love for Jesus and authentic hunger for the historic supernatural God of the Bible. I chose the allegorical style because it lends itself to creativity in a wide range of expression and humor. In my imagination there exists a world where animals walk on two legs, demonstrate all the attributes of humans, and live and interact together with people. In just such a world Theodore Conquest ‘Mystic’ Moose lives and does his exploits. Many of these tales are based on events that have literally happened to flesh and blood men and women. These people I know. Other events originate from lives of historic Christians I don’t know but have read about or heard their testimonies.

Pick Me - Overcoming Rejection & Disappointment - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Pick Me -
Overcoming Rejection
& Disappointment
- Now Think On This
by Steve Martin

“You did not choose Me, I chose you; and I have commissioned you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that whatever you ask from the Father in My name He may give you.” John 15:16 CJB (Complete Jewish Bible CJB)

When it came time to pick teams for the grade school lunch time recess kick ball game, I enjoyed taking the ones the other team didn't want. And then beating them with a team of "rejects."

What others saw as being no good at playing ball, I liked to take those unchosen guys and girls and win the game, just by the sheer determination we had, if not because of natural talent. We didn't win all the time, but enough to gain some admiration from the opposing players, and the satisfaction of taking what others had rejected and proving them wrong.

In many ways the challenge of “getting picked or not getting picked” goes on throughout our lives. Even as an adult, I've been on the receiving end of "We don't need you," or "Sorry, but you don't have the qualifications." It hurts. Being rejected goes deep into our souls and spirits. It makes you feel like giving up in the pursuits you have been longing for. You sometimes wonder, "What is it going to take, Lord? When will I get picked?"

At times I don't have the answer, or can't seem to hear what I long to hear from the Lord when rejection occurs. The temptation is to just want to stop and say, “What is the use in trying?” We can reach a point where it is hard to continue believing it really will happen as you had dreamed, hoped, or seriously thought that it would.

So what do you do? Run from the Lord? Run to the Lord? Hide in shame because you once were convinced something wouldn't happen again, but then it did. Then you are not sure if it will ever have the promised fulfillment. Resisting bitterness at that point also becomes a challenge.

Hoping in people or an upcoming event, even trusting in one’s heart desires can't always be counted on. There are just too many circumstances that are out of our control, or so it seems to be. Thus disappointments, rejection and unfulfilled promises will continue to happen. They happened to Jesus - right down to His crucifixion.

David knew the rejection of family, in regards to his own father and brothers. He was likely sent to watch the sheep to keep out of their way. When all the others went to the battle front, it was David who had to stay behind, and do what was a meaningless job to others, a lowly shepherd, especially when one has aspirations of greater roles.

In Psalm 27:7-14, David wrote, “Listen, God, I'm calling at the top of my lungs: "Be good to me! Answer me!" When my heart whispered, "Seek God," my whole being replied, "I'm seeking him!" Don't hide from me now! You've always been right there for me; don't turn your back on me now. Don't throw me out, don't abandon me; you've always kept the door open. My father and mother walked out and left me, but God took me in.

Point me down your highway, God; direct me along a well-lighted street; show my enemies whose side you're on. Don't throw me to the dogs, those liars who are out to get me, filling the air with their threats. I'm sure now I'll see God's goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don't quit. I'll say it again: Stay with God.” (THE MESSAGE)

Throughout Scripture there are words that we must rely on. We need to learn to run to Him, for He is the Solid Rock.
"My times are in Thy hands." (Psalm 31:15 NASB) It is a verse I have had to hold onto as truth often, when all else seems to be otherwise.

The Lord knows our pain. He understands the doubts and fears we face. He calls us to Himself, to help give us understanding when these times of rejection and disappointment come to each of us. They will come, but He does respond.

Disappointing experiences will pass. Another day will bring new understanding and opportunities to replace what was dreamed about. It doesn't make it any easier when we are in the midst of it, but knowing He will work it out, in His perfect timing, will help get us to the next day, and beyond.

If rejected, if disappointed, if seeing the promise unfilled...call on His Name, the Name of Jesus, Yeshua. Keep the hope He gives within, and move on with the overcoming spirit He has given to comfort us in the daily walk.

I had to again look to Him, even today, to overcome disappointment and that which I saw as rejection. Thankfully He was there in my time of need. I was able to stand and overcome the disappointment and rejection.

As the Scripture at the beginning of this message confirms, the Lord God has chosen us; He Himself has picked us to be His children. What confidence and faith for the future we can have because of this. When the times come that bring doubt, discouragement and rejection, we can stand on His Word. He has picked you and me, and He promised to see us through to the end.

Now think on this,
