In the Bible, Christians are instructed to testify about the great things God has done, because they give Him glory while providing hope to those encountering similar circumstances. With that in mind, the newest faith-based film releasing during this Easter season shines bright at a time when so many in the world need that hope the most.
Miracles From Heaven is the latest release from producers T.D. Jakes and DeVon Franklin (Heaven Is For Real), along with Joe Roth, telling the story of Christy Beam, the mother of pre-teen Anna who suffers from a seemingly-incurable stomach disorder. The true account, chronicled in a previously-released book, is skillfully brought to the big screen by director Patricia Riggen (The 33).
Jennifer Garner (Alias, 13 Going On 30, Daredevil, Elektra) gives a career-defining performance as Beam, a woman at the end of her rope both spiritually and emotionally. She explores every medical option to alleviate her daughter's pain, even traveling to Boston and tenaciously securing an appointment with a top children's doctor, Dr. Nurko, played by Eugenio Derbez.
Along the way, Beam and Anna (Kylie Rogers) are befriended by Angela (Queen Latifah), who shows them around the city and provides some comic relief from the emotionally-charged film.
Miracles provides an insider's view of a mother pulled between her longstanding dedication to God and the illness ravaging her daughter's body. Beam prays for faith, even in the middle of intense doubt and despair. Things do not immediately get better, but even seem to get much worse, leaving her feeling even further removed from God, her church community and even her husband (played by Martin Henderson). Many viewers will feel and sympathize with Beam's situation, having faced their own spiritual valleys.
It's not a spoiler to report that God does indeed have a plan and it's fully revealed before the end credits roll. Beam's journey is astounding, even more when considering the true story it is based on. The takeaway is simple and inspiring—God is always at work, whether or not His actions are easily recognized.
Miracles From Heaven is being hailed by critics across the board as a Christian film that does everything right. As it attracts a national audience this week, the hope of Jesus Christ has an opportunity to penetrate millions of hearts outside the walls of church buildings.
Miracles From Heaven, written by Randy Brown and also starring John Carrol Lynch, releases Wednesday, March 16, from Affirm Films, Roth Films and Franklin Entertainment distributed by Columbia Pictures.

Shabbat Inspiration

The prophet Ezekiel offers the nation a message of hope. Despite the harsh punishment of exile, the people will return to the Land, and with that return the land will flourish and prosper exceeding its former glory.  We are living in these miraculous times! As this prophecy continues to unfold, the State of Israel exceeds our hopes and dreams as a flourishing country, breathtaking in beauty and central to the world in medicine and industry.  You can be part of a unique project to document this fantastic miracle  with the world’s first-ever photojournalistic book showing Israel’s development from desolation to cornucopia.  Side by side photographs will make the prophecy come alive as you see the dramatic changes and rebirth of the land in under 100 years.

Documenting a Miracle: Photographic Evidence of Divine Fulfillment

Researchers culled through thousands of photos from the late 1800's to 1940's, a period of time when the Land was desolate and under foreign rule. They went back back to those same locations, and photographed the resurgence of life in Israel as the Jewish nation. What they discovered was mind-boggling.

Behind the Scenes of Epic Book of Fulfilled Prophecies

Devout Christian Doug Hershey, founder of Ezra Adventures, a program which arranges epic trips to Israel, is on an even more compelling mission. Hershey is documenting, through magnificent photography, the prophet Ezekiel’s 2,600-year-old prophecies as they come to fruition today in Israel.

Star of David Necklace

The Star of David is a timeless symbol of the Jewish People. Mentioned in the bible as being the symbol of david, it now adorns the Israeli flag. The Israeli jewelry designer Ester Shahaf adds her personal artistic statement to the Star, in endless variations. This lovely Star of David necklace is crafted of .925 Sterling silver with Swarovski crystals, copper appliqués and delicate hand painting.

UK Man Has Shocking Revelations While Clinically Dead - Charles Gardner

UK Man Has Shocking Revelations While Clinically Dead

Sunday, February 28, 2016 |  Charles Gardner
ISRAEL TODAY
A British man restored to life after being clinically dead for nearly an hour during hospital treatment had Armageddon-type visions while ‘out of this world’.
Joe Stevenson, from Doncaster in Yorkshire, has been speaking about his experience at Christian meetings around the country. But in an exclusive interview with this journalist, he has now shared his amazing story for the purposes of media coverage.
The miracle happened six years ago and has been verified by the surgeon involved. And the visions were uncannily descriptive of more recent events in Israel and the Middle East.
Joe was admitted to Doncaster Royal Infirmary for a total knee replacement but, at the initiation of physiotherapy the day after surgery, suffered a massive heart attack.
For the next 55 minutes he had “no cardiac output and no respiratory effort other than what was maintained by the resuscitation team”, according to Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr A S W Bruce.
When informed by the patient’s son-in-law that Joe had died, church friends began to pray – not for the Lord to raise him up, but for his family to be comforted.
His heart started beating again – “spontaneous cardiac output and respiratory effort were returned,” said Mr Bruce – and he was in a coma for the next 72 hours. But there was no brain damage and, although initially suffering acute renal failure, this completely settled in time.
“Having seen him in clinic, he has made an uneventful recovery,” Mr Bruce added in a letter dated January 25th 2011.
Now 75 and in continuing good health, Joe lives in Coniston Road, Askern, near Doncaster, with his wife Wilsie.
Dr David Garrard, a senior lecturer at the nearby Assemblies of God Bible College and a fellow member at the time of the Reachout Christian Fellowship at Christ Church in central Doncaster, said: “The miracle of the resurrection power of Christ is evidenced in what happened to Joe.”
Joe was admitted for his operation on December 9th 2009. The op itself went smoothly, but it was the following morning, as he lay recovering, that he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Wilsie called their five children, who immediately dropped everything and raced down from all over the country. Then the doctor announced: “We have a pulse, but don’t build your hopes.”
“The medical team had fully expected Joe to be a vegetable due to no oxygen supply to his brain for all that time,” Wilsie recalled. “And though his kidneys were not initially functioning, with regular dialysis on the cards, they eventually returned to normal, to the delight of the medics.”
Joe has since revealed that he had a series of extraordinary visions during his hour of ‘death’. This included a scene of “total chaos on the earth” with everyone struggling for power and some arguing over clothing and possessions which had become worthless as money no longer had any value.
“The Lord showed me armies fighting one another, even beginning to kill their own people; young men and women taking people into alleyways, killing them at random and running away, laughing. I saw pillaging and rapes.
“Then I saw millions of dead bodies inside a massive lean-to, all in different uniforms. And giant earth-moving machines pushing the bodies into a quarry – something like a picture of Armageddon described in the Bible.” (Revelation 14.20)
Dr Garrard explained: “I have no difficulty at all accepting what Joe communicates [of his visions] because… they can be backed up by many portions of Scripture.”
Joe and Wilsie are currently members of the Millennium Christian Fellowship in Hemsworth, twelve miles north-west of Doncaster.
Joe says that in the weeks leading up to his operation, he had sought a much closer relationship with God as a result of which he experienced “a deep cleansing and a strengthening of spirit”.
He now realises that we all need to get back to basic Bible principles of loving one another as one body, with Jesus as head.

How 'Miracles from Heaven' Transformed Jennifer Garner - CBN News

How 'Miracles from Heaven' Transformed Jennifer Garner

02-25-2016 CBN News

Actress Jennifer Garner says her life was transformed while working on an upcoming movie called "Miracles from Heaven."
The movie tells the true story of Annabel Beam, a little girl with an incurable digestive disease, and the faith struggles of her parents as they dealt with the devastating impact on their daughter.
But as the title and trailer for the film reveal something truly amazing happens, healing little Annabel.
Garner told CBN News that after she met Christy Beam, the mother of Annabel, Beam's faith had a profound impact on her personally.
And while preparing for the role, Garner wanted confirmation of Annabel's healing from the doctor who worked with Annabel.
Garner told CBN News the doctor confirmed to her that the little girl's amazing healing could truly be described as a miracle.
Through that series of events, and during the making of the film, God touched Garner's heart. She told an audience at T.D. Jakes' church The Potter's House that the Beam family's faith was a big part of that transformation.
CBN News Reporter Efrem Graham confirmed Garner was clearly engaged in Sunday worship during a visit to The Potter's House.
Garner says she has been taking her own daughters with her as she has started going back to church.
Those comments came during a question and answer session with members of The Potter's House, following a private screening of the film.

Prophetic Dream: God Did It Before and He Will Do It Again - JANE HAMON CHARISMA MAGAZINE

God showed His mighty power by parting the Red Sea for Moses and the Israelites. He wants to show that power again, but it's up to us to proclaim it.
God showed His mighty power by parting the Red Sea for Moses and the Israelites. He wants to show that power again, but it's up to us to proclaim it. (Lightstock )

Prophetic Insight, from Charisma Media
On the morning of December 24, 2015 I dreamed for hours with God speaking the same thing to me over and over. He would say, "If you will show up, I will show off!"
In the dream I saw different scriptural scenarios in which this occurred. Jesus showed up at the pool of Bethesda and showed off God's power to heal. Jesus showed up at the tomb of Lazarus showing off God's power for resurrection life. In 2 Chronicles 20, God told Jehoshaphat that they would not need to fight in the battle, but that they still had to show up on the battlefield and He would show His power to destroy the enemy that had them surrounded.
I heard a second phrase in these dreams. ... "If I did it then, I will do it again!" Every miracle we have ever read about in the Word, every revival or awakening from a past season, every example of a city or nation turning towards Christ becomes a foreshadowing of what God desires to do again!
In the dreams I was also reminded of Exodus 9:16 where God says that He raised up Pharaoh to show His power and that His name would be declared in all the earth. The word 'show' means to show or present oneself. In Egypt God first presented Himself and declared who He was to all the earth. God used an obstinate, hard-hearted, impossible situation to demonstrate His goodness and His power to His people. God partnered with Moses and Moses partnered with God to see a nation set free so that the whole world would know God's name!
The Lord says "I will cause heaven to partner with earth in a new way in 2016. My people, if you will show up, I will show off! There are "Pharaohs" and "Pharaoh situations" that I have raised up which I will use as examples to demonstrate My power in the earth and make My name great.
As Moses showed up before Pharaoh, I showed off with signs, wonders and miracles that caused My people to be set free, the enemy to be destroyed and the wealth of Egypt to be released. I brought a divine reversal, out of slavery into freedom, out of besiegement into Jubilee, out of poverty into wealth. If I did it then, I will do it again!"
What miracle that God did THEN would you like to see Him do AGAIN?

Doctor says mother's prayer restarted dead boy's heart - Newser

Doctor says mother's prayer restarted dead boy's heart

Doctor: Mother's prayer restarted dead boy's heart

When rescuers arrived to Missouri's Lake Sainte Louise on Jan. 19 after reports that three 14-year-old boys had fallen through the ice, John Smith had already been underwater for 15 minutes.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports he was taken to a hospital with no pulse, and while his companions were treated for hypothermia, staff performed CPR on John for 27 minutes.
"He was dead for 45 minutes," Dr. Kent Sutterer tells KSDK. There was a "very poor chance of survival." But when the doctor called John's mom into the room, "she started praying loudly," he says.
Adds Joyce Smith, "I don't remember what all I said. But I remember, 'Holy God, please send your Holy Spirit to save my son.' ... All of a sudden I heard them saying, 'We got a pulse, we got a pulse.'" Today, John's brain function is normal and he's at home walking and talking like any other teenager, KSDK reports.
He's getting physical therapy to regain some movement in his hands, but otherwise he's only battling a cough. "After listening to what the paramedics and doctors said I'm pretty surprised at the outcome," John says.
Dr. Sutterer, who says John's heart started within "a minute or two" of his mom's prayers, later wrote a note to make sense of the experience.
"His heart was jump started by the Holy Spirit listening to the request of his praying mother," it reads. Another doctor adds that "it's a bona fide miracle." John's rescuers from Lake St.
Louis Fire and Emergency had practiced ice rescues just days before he was saved. (A 2-year-old recently survived a night outside in freezing temperatures.)

Why is Chanukah So Unique? (it’s not what you think…)

Why is Chanukah So Unique? (it’s not what you think…)

By Rabbi Ari Enkin, rabbinic director, United with Israel

Is Chanukah unique because we eat latkes (potato pancakes) and sufganiot(jelly donuts) and play with dreidels (spinning tops)? The real uniqueness is our victory celebration over an enemy that didn’t actually want to kill us!

The story of Chanukah takes place during the Second Temple period (approx. 200 BCE), when the Syrian-Greeks occupied the Land of Israel. In contrast to most enemies of the Jewish people, the Syrian-Greeks essentially had no interest in murdering Jews. Rather, they wanted the Jewish people to adopt the Greek religion and way of life.

I guess you could say that the Syrian-Greeks desired death by assimilation for the Jewish people. Jewish practice was officially against the law. Torah study, circumcision and even resting on the Sabbath were all punishable by death.

As the saying goes with regards to all Jewish holidays, “They tried to kill us. We won. Let’s eat!” Chanukah is no different. The primary victory was apparently the military victory of the small Jewish army, known as the Maccabees, over the huge and well-armed army of the Syrian-Greeks. When the battle was over, the Maccabees made their way to the Temple Mount (as did the “Maccabees” of theSix Day War). What they found, however, was a desecrated and defiled sanctuary.

In order to formally rededicate the Temple, the Maccabees had to light the Menorah. But to do so, they had to overcome another obstacle: They had to find pure olive oil that had been certified by a High Priest. And in what was yet another miracle, they did! They managed to find a single flask of certified oil!

On to the next miracle: The small flask of oil that contained enough oil to burn for only one day burned for eight days! The eight-day holiday of Chanukah was born!
The Only Miracle that Must be Publicized

In order to commemorate these miracles, Jews light the menorah, often called a chanukiya, on each night of Chanukah and recite the accompanying blessings. These menorahs are generally lit at the entrances of the home or at a window that faces the public thoroughfare in order to better publicize the miracles of Chanukah. Indeed, with minor exception, the miracle of Chanukah is the only miracle that we are obligated to publicize! It is commendable to remain alongside the candles for at least 30 minutes after lighting, studying Torah, singing songs and talking about the Chanukah story. Gifts are often given to children at this time.

A Deeper Understanding

Let’s take a deeper look into the miracle of Chanukah. What was it about the events of Chanukah that inspired our sages to institute a holiday in its honor? The answer is that Chanukah is different from all other holidays. It is the only holiday that truly commemorates a spiritual victory, not a physical one. If the Syrian Greeks would have simply demanded that the Jewish people paint their homes pink with blue polka-dots, that would have have been one thing. But to demand that the Jewish people dispose with their Torah and religion was truly another!

A flame flickers and rises, representing the soul of Man.

The oil that was miraculously found and then burned for eight days was nothing less than a Divine wink that a battle for religious freedom is a battle that’s worth it. Many things in life, most things in fact, are not worth fighting for. In most of life’s battles we should usually compromise for the sake of keeping the peace. But when it comes to tradition, especially Torah tradition, compromise and concessions are not an option.

Chanukah is indeed different. They did not try to kill us, they tried to assimilate us. And the Maccabees would have none of it.

The fact that a flame was the center of attention makes Chanukah the spiritual holiday that it is. This is because a flame flickers and rises, which represents the soul of all mankind that ‘flickers’ in its desire to rise higher and get closer to God.

Presents, sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts) and latkes (potato pancakes) are nice traditions, but don’t let the eight days of Chanukah slip by without recognizing them for the spiritual focus and victory that they are! Yes, and publicize it!

Chanukah begins this year on Tuesday night, December 16. Chag Sameach!

Prophecy foretold the revival of the Hebrew language! By Dr. David R. Reagan Founder & Director, Lamb & Lion Ministries

Prophecy foretold the revival of
the Hebrew language!

Dr. David R. ReaganBy Dr. David R. Reagan
Founder & Director, Lamb & Lion Ministries

For many years I have been taking pilgrimage groups to the Holy Land. One of the places we always visit is the Dead Sea Scrolls Museum in Jerusalem. The centerpiece of the museum is the Isaiah scroll that is displayed in a circular glass case.

I usually gather my group around the scroll, explain its importance and then turn the group loose to explore the rest of the museum. One year, after releasing the group, as I was walking away from the Isaiah scroll, I heard someone behind me suddenly start speaking loudly in Hebrew. When I turned around to see who it was, I discovered a young boy about 13 years old with his parents. The boy was reading the scroll, using a pointer. I supposed he was practicing for his Bar Mitzvah, for reading a section from the Scriptures is always a part of that ceremony.

As I listened to the young man, I realized I was witnessing a miracle. It occurred to me that a Greek boy of his age could not read the Greek writings of Homer (ca 8th Century BC) nor could an American or British boy read the English of Chaucer (14th Century AD). Yet this boy could read Hebrew written 2,000 years ago.

How was that possible? Because biblical Hebrew has been revived from the dead and is spoken as the national language of Israel today.

The Death of the Hebrew Language

But I am getting ahead of my story. Let's return for a moment to the days of the Bible.

The worldwide dispersion of the Jewish people began in 70 AD when the Romans ruthlessly ended their revolt against Roman rule by destroying the city of Jerusalem, including their marvelous Temple. This dispersion from their homeland was accelerated after their second revolt was put down in 136 AD.

As the Jews were scattered, they gradually stopped speaking their native language during the centuries that followed. Those in Europe took German and mixed it with Hebrew, producing a hybrid tongue called Yiddish. The Jews who settled in the Mediterranean basin mixed Hebrew with Spanish and developed a language called Ladino.

Hebrew became confined to the synagogues where it was used for Torah readings. By the beginning of the 20th Century, most Jews could not understand the Torah readings. For them, it was like a Gentile experiencing a Catholic mass conducted in Latin.

But all this was to change miraculously, and in the process, the fulfillment of a very important end time Bible prophecy began.

The Key Prophecy

The prophecy I have in mind is the prophecy about the revival of the Hebrew language. It is found in Zephaniah 3:9 —
For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the LORD, to serve Him with one accord. (NASB)
The New International Version states that the Lord will "purify the lips of the people." The New Living Translation says God will "purify the speech." The English Standard Version puts it this way: "I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure speech."The Living Bible paraphrases the verse to read: "At that time I will change the speech of my returning people to pure Hebrew so that all can worship the Lord together."

The more literal translations of this verse leave the clear implication that the ultimate fulfillment of this prophecy will occur when all the peoples of the world are once again unified in their language, likely speaking biblical Hebrew.Whether this will occur during the Millennium or the Eternal State is not made precisely clear in the Scriptures.

For example, Isaiah 19:18 says that during the Lord's millennial reign, there will be cities in Egypt where people will be speaking Hebrew. And our key verse, Zephaniah 3:9, is set in the context of being fulfilled after God has poured out His "indignation" on the nations (Zephaniah 3:8). That's speaking of the Tribulation, so the implication is that the establishment of a universal language will occur at the beginning of the Millennium.

On the other hand, Zechariah 8:23 tells us that during the Millennium, "ten people from all languages and nations will take hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, 'Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you'" (NIV). So, it sounds like national languages will continue during the Millennium, and thus the unity of language will not occur until we reach the Eternal State.

But, as you will see, the revival of biblical Hebrew as the spoken language of the Jewish people today must be considered a miracle of God and at least a partial fulfillment of Zephaniah 3:9. In that regard, it should be noted that there is no other example in world history of an ancient language being revived as the spoken language of a modern nation. The restoration of biblical Hebrew to a modern day spoken language is a unique historical phenomenon.

God orchestrated the revival of spoken Hebrew through a baby born to an Orthodox Jewish family in 1858 in Lithuania, which at that time was part of Russia. He was given the name of Eliezer Yitzhak Perlman and would later be known as Eliezer Ben-Yehuda.
Read about the fascinating person who was key to
prophetically reviving the long dead language of Hebrew!
