October Prophetic Word: Why this is Such a Significant Time - Doug Addison Identity Network

October Prophetic Word: Why this is Such a Significant Time

by Doug Addison

Identity Network

Days of Awe

This is the time each year that is important for your life, as it sets the course for you prophetically for the upcoming year.

It is the Jewish New Year, called Rosh Hashanah—October 2–4, 2016, and the Day of Atonement, called Yom Kippur—October 11–12, 2016. Even though we are no longer under the Law of Moses, God still operates on the Jewish calendar.

Historically, Jewish people believe that God examines our lives during the time between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to see if we are ready for spiritual advancement, or promotion, to a new level of maturity.

Whether you are aware of it or not, this is a time when you are able to hear God more clearly and gain direction. The 10 days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are called the Days of Awe.

A New Gate in Heaven Opened

Many people have been going through difficult times and we are seeing and feeling a sense of unrest. There has been heavy spiritual warfare, bad weather patterns and attacks of the enemy. In the midst of these difficulties, I want to encourage you to hang on, as something new is coming.

The enemy does not want us to see what it is that is coming. He is throwing everything he has at distracting us by getting us to look at the storm, rather than the solution God is bringing.

My Daily Prophetic Word for October 1, 2016, was, "A new gate in the spirit is opening over you that is going to change the spiritual atmosphere."

"Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." Psalm 24:7 KJV

Something major shifted into place on that day, as God began releasing new strategies and assistance from Heaven. In the midst of unrest, God opened up a new Gate of Rest for us to enter into.

To survive and thrive during this time of transition, it is important to get God's perspective and trust that He is still in charge and has not forgotten you. God is inviting you to enter into His rest, in which you can find peace during this time of transition.

Books of Heaven Being Opened

During the Days of Awe, the books of Heaven are opened over us. Daniel 7:10 shows us that there are books, or scrolls, in Heaven that are opened and the Courts of Heaven review them. These books can be about us personally, as in Psalm 139:16, or about greater global issues. They contain blueprints and strategies needed to advance the Kingdom of God in our lives and on Earth.

I have had several encounters in the Courts of Heaven over the past couple of months; something special is happening this year. There is a higher level examination of our lives happening that is going to bring about new promotions and assignments that affect the next 7 years of our lives. I saw the Daniel 7 Court of Heaven taking place over people.

"As I looked, 'thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.'" Daniel 7:9-10 NIV

The Lord told me that this is a very rare time, as it is a rare event to have the Ancient of Days court session. It is the highest court and level of authority in Heaven. The Father is rendering decisions and judgments for those who have been called to be part of this next move of God. Many have been over-attacked by the enemy, and have felt they failed or have been forgotten.

Revival Coming

All that is happening right now, is happening to set the stage for one of the greatest shows on Earth. Things have already started taking place for a new revival that will become more evident in 2017.

There are pockets of God's glory and fire now being released. There is a lot of repositioning happening, and from now through the end of the year we will get more clarity on this.

"Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." Revelation 4:1 NIV

There are going to be 2 moves of God. The first is inside the Church and in the lives of Christians—it is designed to awaken and prepare us.

The second is a wave of revival that will be geared to those who have been rejected by Christians or considered unclean or even an abomination. What is coming might seem to be a stretch to many people, as some of our current ways of doing things will not work to reach those who have been rejected.

One Billion Soul Harvest

On September 22, I was awakened at 2:30 AM, and the Holy Spirit said "Get up, because an important counsel meeting has taken place." I saw, in the spirit, members of the Counsel of Heaven; I heard the late prophet, Bob Jones, speaking to them. During his life, Bob was on Earth to release a great revival that would be over one billion people, people who would be a radical group for God. This never took place, before his death in 2014.

But God has not forgotten Bob's life and ministry, and it is now time for this revival to start.

In the counsel meeting, the Lord was making plans for this new movement. I saw transitional teams of angels being dispersed. Assignments were being given to people who will be part of this new move. There will not be only one person who will lead it. I saw the hidden ones starting to awaken. These are the ones who, like Joseph in Genesis 41, had been hidden in prison, then came on the scene and changed the course of history through the prophetic and dream interpretation.

Ezekiel 36 Decree

The Lord has issued a decree from Ezekiel 36 that will start happening now. I had previously released a prophetic word about this happening, as He was calling the weak sheep defenders, you can read that prophetic word, from this summer, here. This is going to be a wave of reviving those who have been wounded by Christianity.

Many of those who are called to be part of these new movements have been discouraged and in the dark night of the soul, or wilderness. Then I heard from the Lord to prophesy, Ezekiel 37, a call to the valley of the dry bones and to awaken those who will have ears to hear.

I began to prophecy this over people during this encounter:

"Then He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! … I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life"' …. 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from four winds and breath into these slain, that they may live.'" Ezekiel 37:4-9 NIV

I, the Lord, am breathing new life into you so that you can raise up the army that is coming forward in 2017. For this reason, I am going to move fast and I am going to move furiously in your life. I am going to pour out My fire and glory upon you. I am going to realign you into a place of effectiveness.

Extreme Encounter and Extreme Attacks

I got the revelation in this article only halfway through this 2016 period of the 10 Days of Awe. These are some of the most powerful encounters I have had in my life.

But at the same time, I have been going through some very extreme warfare against me, my family and staff—so please be praying for us. It is going to be good, and worth it all. I will be releasing the things I get from the Lord, in addition to this word. Yom Kippur, which starts today, is usually the time I get the most revelation about what is coming.

Blessings.

“The president of the United States . . . is missing.”
With these words, New York Times journalist J. B. Collins, reporting from the scene of a devastating attack by ISIS terrorists in Amman, Jordan, puts the entire world on high alert. The leaders of Israel and the Palestinian Authority are critically injured, Jordan’s king is fighting for his life, and the U.S. president is missing and presumed captured.
As the U.S. government faces a constitutional crisis and Jordan battles for its very existence, Collins must do his best to keep the world informed while working to convince the FBI that his stories are not responsible for the terror attack on the Jordanian capital. And ISIS still has chemical weapons . . .
Struggling to clear his name, Collins and the Secret Service try frantically to locate and rescue the leader of the free world before ISIS’s threats become a catastrophic reality.

Cahn Calls Arch of Ba'al in NYC a Harbinger of God's Judgment - CBN News

Jonathan Cahn

Cahn Calls Arch of Ba'al in NYC a Harbinger of God's Judgment
10-11-2016

A Messianic rabbi says another prophetic warning about the judgment of God against America has come to pass in the heart of New York City.
In 2015, Jonathan Cahn gave a prophetic warning to Americans about the false god from the Bible known as Ba'al.
Last month, that word became reality after the Arch of the Temple of Ba'al was erected in City Hall Park in Manhattan.
Cahn contends that America's rebellion against God mirrors Israel's rebellion against God, which was connected to Ba'al worship. At the time when Israel was heading to destruction, the people of Israel were worshipping the false god Ba'al.
Cahn points out Ba'al was a god of sexual immorality, and a god by whom the people of Israel justified the killing of children.
In an interview with CBN News, he says it is significant that America's recent departure from traditional marriage preceded this new harbinger.
Cahn tells CBN the Ba'al Arch is just one of many symbols of "the spirit of antichrist," which is a spirit of desecration.
He says it's a sign of a people that once knew God, departing from God, and a harbinger of God's judgment.
If you measure the distance from the original arch in Palmyra, Syria, to the Temple of Ba'al, and then compare that to the current location of the replica in New York City, it's the exact distance and direction to Ground Zero, Cahn says.
That's especially important, since he believes the terrorist attacks on 9/11 are the starting point for this new phase in U.S. history.
Cahn talks about that in his best-selling novel, The Harbinger, in which he compared the United States to the destruction of ancient Israel.
He says before God judges a nation, He sends warnings just like He did with ancient Israel. Cahn says the 9/11 attacks were a similar kind of warning.
Cahn's teachings are known for revealing the deep mysteries of God's word. He examines many more of them in his new devotional, The Book of Mysteries.
That book includes a one-year journey to mountaintops, caverns, and the oil-lit chambers of scrolls to uncover secrets that he says will change your life.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog: As we observe Yom Kippur tonight, it’s worth asking: Where do we as modern Jews receive atonement for our sins?

yomkippur-psalm

New post on Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

As we observe Yom Kippur tonight, it’s worth asking: Where do we as modern Jews receive atonement for our sins?

by joelcrosenberg
At sundown tonight, we begin Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
In the Hebrew Scriptures, the Israelites were commanded by the Lord to fast and pray and bring their sacrifices to the Temple in Jerusalem, and then to ask for the Lord’s forgiveness for all the sins they and their nation had committed that year.
According to Moses and the Holy Scriptures, only the blood sacrifice of a perfect animal -- sacrificed with a humble, repentant heart, and with faith in God’s mercy and grace -- would bring about forgiveness of sins.
  • “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.” (Leviticus 17:11)
  • “In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” (Hebrews 9:22)
  • "Blessed is the one whose sins are forgiven, whose sins are covered." (Psalm 32:1)
But here's the problem modern Jews face today: How do we receive atonement for our sins in the modern age, without an operational Temple in Jerusalem?
That is, how can we make sacrifices and receive forgiveness of sins — and thus the right to enter the holiness of heaven and live with the Lord in heaven forever and ever in His holy and perfect world — without being able to sacrifice a perfect lamb at the Temple in Jerusalem, where the Lord designated all sacrifices to occur?
The destruction of the Temple by the Romans in 70 A.D. was a huge blow to Judaism, because it deprived Jews of the place to receive atonement from God. For two thousand years, we haven't had the ability to have our sins forgiven in the manner required by the Lord in the Bible.
Fortunately, the Lord spoke the answer through the Hebrew prophet Daniel hundreds of years before the Second Temple was destroyed.
In Daniel 9:24-26, we learn three critical and fascinating truths:
  • Daniel told us that the Messiah (“Anointed One”) would come at a certain time in history “to atone for wickedness” and “to bring in everlasting righteousness”
  • Daniel also told us that when the Messiah came, he would be “cut off and will have nothing”
  • then Daniel foretold that Jerusalem and the Temple would be destroyed after the Messiah was "cut off" — as Daniel noted, foreign invaders “will come and will destroy the city and the sanctuary”
Think about that for a moment. Daniel told us something extraordinary: the coming Messiah would be "cut off" and bring atonement for our sins, and He would come beforethe Temple would be destroyed.
In retrospect, that makes sense, right? Why would the Lord take away the Temple unless He was going to provide a new way for atonement, the very "new covenant" He spoke of through the Hebrew prophet Jeremiah?
What's more, the Hebrew Prophet Isaiah gave us additional important details about the Messiah’s role in bringing each of us atonement from our sins. Consider these passages from Isaiah 53:
3 He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
And who can speak of his descendants?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was stricken.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
11 After the suffering of his soul,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
13 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
What's intriguing to me is that the Jews of the First Century (B.C.E.) actually believed the Messiah would one day come to earth and die as a “suffering servant” — as an atonement for sins and the redemption of Israel — and would then rise from the dead on the third day.
That's the conclusion of a respected professor and Dead Sea Scrolls expert at Hebrew University. In fact, he argues that the death and “third day” resurrection of the Messiah is, in fact, a distinctly Jewish concept that actually pre-dates the emergence of Christianity.
Dr. Israel Knohl has based on his conclusions on many years of research and recently analyzed archaeological evidence, including a previously unstudied Dead Sea Scroll. Indeed, Knohl argues that this notion of the Messiah rising on the third day is a pre-Christian concept that dates back to before the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem Ephratah.
I had the opportunity to sit and discuss this with Dr. Knohl at length a few years ago and it was an absolutely fascinating conversation.
I first heard of him when he drew worldwide media attention several years ago for his research, including a major article in the New York Times and several articles inBiblical Archaeology Review — see here, and here, and here.
The Times story, which ran under the headline, “Ancient Tablet Ignites Debate on Messiah and Resurrection,” begins as follows: “A three-foot-tall tablet with 87 lines of Hebrew that scholars believe dates from the decades just before the birth of Jesus is causing a quiet stir in biblical and archaeological circles, especially because it may speak of a messiah who will rise from the dead after three days. If such a messianic description really is there, it will contribute to a developing re-evaluation of both popular and scholarly views of Jesus, since it suggests that the story of his death and resurrection was not unique but part of a recognized Jewish tradition at the time. The tablet, probably found near the Dead Sea in Jordan according to some scholars who have studied it, is a rare example of a stone with ink writings from that era — in essence, a Dead Sea Scroll on stone.”
The tablet has been named by scholars as “Gabriel’s Revelation” because it suggests that the angel Gabriel was instructed by God to direct that the Messiah be raised from the dead on the third day.
The stone tablet was discovered several decades ago and is owned by a Israeli-Swiss Jewish man by the name of David Jeselsohn who didn’t understand its significance when he purchased it. The Times article was published in 2008. Dr. Knohl then published a book about all this in 2009 entitled, Messiahs and Resurrection in “The Gabriel Revelation.” That was a follow up to his previous book, The Messiah Before Jesus: The Suffering Servant of the Dead Sea Scrolls (first published in Hebrew in 2000 and then in English in 2002).
In the book, Dr. Knohl explains the various Jewish theories about the Messiah, including the idea of a “Messiah son of David” who will come as a reigning king on the earth like King David was, and a “Messiah son of Joseph” who will be rejected by his brothers, mistreated, left for dead but will eventually reappear and save not only the nation of Israel but the world like Joseph did in the book of Genesis.
I would commend these articles — and Dr. Knohl's books — to your attention. I would also encourage you to read Daniel 9 and Isaiah 53 and the other Biblical passages I've mentioned here. Study and discuss them with family and friends, and on this important Day of Atonement, ask the following questions:
  • Did the ancient Hebrew prophecies really did foretell that the Jewish Messiah would die as an atonement for our sins but was also supposed to be buried and raised from the dead on the third day?
  • Did the Jews in the first century really believed that the coming Messiah would be rejected by the religious leaders of the day in order to be killed on Passover and raised from the dead on the third day, on the Feast of First Fruits?
  • If so, why should this matter to you and me?
