"Raising You Up From Your Graves" ✡ From the Holocaust to the State of Israel

Behold, I am opening your graves and raising you up from your graves, My people, and I will bring you to the soil of Israel.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Ezekiel's well-known prophecy of dry bones arising was intended to comfort the Jewish people in exile, by reassuring them that God would one day bring them back "to the soil of Israel." During the dark days of the Holocaust, few would have imagined the incredible truth in Ezekiel's words, for from the ashes of the most appalling event of the twentieth century, came the rebirth of the State of Israel. Learn more in "History, Heroism and Lessons of the Holocaust," a CD collection that helps to transform the horror into an intensely personal encounter that participants declare life-changing and unforgettable.

Defying Atheists, State Wants to Make the Bible Its Official Book

Defying Atheists, State Wants to Make the Bible Its Official Book

A pair of lawmakers in Mississippi have introduced a bill to make the Bible the official state book, the two said on Monday.
State Representatives Michael Evans and Tom Miles, both Democrats, said they introduced the measure on Thursday as a way to encourage people to read the Bible and be inspired to treat others with dignity.
The lawmakers said it was not their goal to force their Christian beliefs on others. The measure would not compel anyone to read the book, Evans said, adding: "It don't force anybody to do anything."
The bill came in response to constituents recommending it as a small corrective for "all the bad things happening in the world," he said.
The measure has about 20 co-sponsors, both Democrats and Republicans, and its prospects for passage appear good, said Miles.
Last year, Mississippi put "In God We Trust" on the state's seal, Miles noted.
"This (bill) isn't any more out there than that," he said.

Pastor of Air Asia Victims Encounters Heaven in Midst of Tragedy

Pastor of Air Asia Victims Encounters Heaven in Midst of Tragedy

Wreckage from the Air Asia 8501
Wreckage from the Air Asia 8501 (Reuters, Darren Whiteside)
When Air Asia Flight 8501 crashed into the ocean late last year, hundreds of families and friends suffered dear losses—but none so acutely as Mawar Sharon Church (Rose of Sharon), in Surabaya, Indonesia.
The congregation had 45 people—more than a quarter of the passengers—on the plane. But for Pastor Philip Mantofa, the loss has catapulted his church into the spotlight. Now, Mantofa is speaking out on how this tragedy has strengthened his faith and given him glimpses of heaven.
Charisma News: How has this loss affected your church?
Philip Mantofa: Our church has always been like a big family. Even though not everyone necessarily knows everyone, our sense of belonging as one body of Christ is strong since most of our members belong in small groups and ministries. This tragic loss has only increased our dependence on God and appreciation of each other. Love—God's love—is in the air!
Charisma News: What is the church doing to cope with the loss?
Mantofa: Firstly, first-aid. We were among the first to have arrived on the scene—at the departure area of our international airport—to meet the families of the missing passengers on the doomed plane. Then, we immediately set up a care center in which we provided an ongoing prayer/worship atmosphere to strengthen the faith of those who awaited the fate of their loved ones. Food and beverages were also provided to care for them physically, so none would fall sick.
We dispatched teams of trained, Christian counselors by shifts, standing by to help. Also, we assigned one pastor from our church for every mourning family, so we could customize to give the support they need. Particularly when the bodies of their family members were found and they had to identify them, we couldn't leave them to face these horrific situations alone. "Being there with them and for them" is our greatest ministry yet so far. Doesn't the Bible say we ought to cry with those who cry?
Charisma News: How will the church move forward?
Mantofa: No words can describe the feeling of loss we have all experienced here, especially the passengers' families. Unnecessary comments haven't help a bit, and we don't attempt to answer the big "WHY" question. However, the Holy Spirit has been real in our church as the Comforter. As their pastor, I must say that I couldn't be prouder of my members as they carried each other's burden without second thoughts. The most glorious moment was when I witnessed how one bereaved family encouraged and prayed for another out of their own initiative. I could say that I almost saw heaven in that situation. Yes, we are moving forward!
Charisma News: How has your faith aided you in such a tragedy?
Mantofa: Faith is the only thing I got. Though I can't quite make sense of it all, my faith in God has not been shaken. God is not evil, and surely this accident is not His fault. Could He not have prevented this? Of course, He can! But if He has not, He is greater than my thoughts. God has not promised us a smooth life in this imperfect world; but He has promised to be with us through it all. Here in Indonesia, Jesus isn't only to live for; He is to die for! I will follow Him no matter what, and others will follow me as I follow Christ. Finally, as His love is unconditional to us, so our faith should be unconditional to Him. The Lord gives, the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord!
Charisma News: What has the Holy Spirit taught you in this time?
Mantofa: That no one is exempt from suffering. That crash, it could have been me in it or anybody. Nobody is special, not even Christians or preachers—only Jesus is! We are only loved. The only thing that is certain in this life is our salvation. Blessed are they whose names have been written in the Book of Life!
Charisma News: Was there a spiritual purpose behind their trip? Some have speculated they were on a mission trip.
Mantofa: Mawar Sharon (Rose of Sharon) Church, which I pastor, has 45,000 members. For the numeric reason alone, it is quite normal to bump into our church members wherever you go in, around, and from Surabaya city. We have lost 45 beloved members which consisted of several family units who coincidentally took the same route and boarded the same jet to Singapore that dreadful morning. Many traveled on holidays and they didn't necessarily know the other families, though of the same church.
Charisma News: How has this affected your personal faith?
Mantofa: My faith in Jesus hasn't changed, for it is never circumstantial in the first place. Christ is my Lord in all the seasons of my life, whether joyous or sad. When my faith hits rock-bottom, then my bottom is the Rock. Then, my faith gets even stronger than ever!
Mantofa's Supernatural Vision from Heaven
Let Go & Let God!
"But I would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and arose again, so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus" (‭1 Thess.‬ ‭4‬:‭13-14‬).
"Upon the accident which befell Air Asia flight QZ 8501 in December 2014, God showed me this imagery that you see on this canvas. On board the doomed plane were 162 passengers, and 45 of them are (not were, they are forever) our church members. Instead of grieving without hope as the godless do, we who believe in Christ have eternal lives.
"From the deep ocean, the souls of men and women deared to many and beloved by God ascended to heaven by the way of the cross. They marched into glory in white arrays.
"Though all human lives are but like smoke which evaporates too quickly, blessed are those whose names have been written in the Book of Life. The Lamb of God will wipe every remaining tear from their eyes, and they shall live as stars and diamonds in the sky, as angels on high, and as sons and daughters of the King of heaven. So, let go and let God!"

Charlie Burials: ‘We Can Now Die for Being Jewish’

Charlie Burials: ‘We Can Now Die for Being Jewish’

CBN News image

JERUSALEM, Israel -- The State of Israel honored and buried the four French Jews killed in last week's Islamic terror attack in Paris.

Israel's leaders, including the prime minister, the president and the mayor of Jerusalem, paid their respects to the family and friends of the victims during a state funeral at the Har Hamenuchot Cemetery in Jerusalem's Givat Shaul neighborhood.

"This is not how we wanted you to come to Israel," Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said in his eulogy. "This is not how we wanted you to come home to Israel and its capital, Jerusalem. We wanted you alive, we wanted you alive."

During the funeral service, one rabbi read from Psalm 130: "Out of the depths I cry to you O Lord."

It reflected the feeling of many who came to honor the four French Jews who lost their lives while shopping at a kosher supermarket in the French capital.

"There is no word. There is no word. I can't tell you anything. I'm just feeling pain and there's no word," an Israeli named Amy, who immigrated from France five years ago, told CBN News.

The Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO) reported rising anti-Semitism in France and around the world.

"We saw now that we can die because we are Jewish in France and this feeling is really [a] bad feeling. We are really sad for all the Jewish community," a French Jewess named Eden said. She said she wants to immigrate to Israel soon.

Many believe last week's terror attacks will accelerate the immigration, known in Hebrew as "aliyah," of French Jews to Israel.

"I hope every Jew around the world can see the difference between what life is like in the protection or the embrace that they feel in a country that is not promised to them -- or traditionally where they fell after the exile of the Jewish people, experienced time and time again for thousands of years, being pushed out of our land," an Israeli named Shira, who immigrated from America, told CBNNews.

"And indeed this [Israel] is our homeland and as much as we can fear the rockets and the random acts of terror, it's the most safe place because we know we are protected by the government, we are protected by each other and 'am Yisrael chai [the people of Israel live]!

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the land of Israel, the one Jewish state, is the only true hope of the Jewish people. He is calling for the Jews of France and the world to come home.

Jane Hamon, Chuck Pierce: Divine Reversals, Revival in The Northwest & Asia

"A Year of Divine Reversals!"
Jane Hamon, Santa Rosa Beach, FL
The Elijah List

Happy New Year 2015! What an exciting time to be alive! As I have listened to the Lord these past weeks about what is ahead for the Church and how to position ourselves with His prophetic promises, I feel I have heard so many interesting things to share. I can just tell you this – it's going to be an incredible time of shifting, fulfillment, victory and turnaround for us all!

15 is a Biblical number tied to celebration and rest after a victory or harvest. The Feasts of Tabernacles, Unleavened Bread and Purim, all happen on the fifteenth day of the month. It is the Hebraic calendar year 5775 which is a double portion number... a double portion of grace and favor to see fulfillment, completion and finishing!

The Great Turn Around!

One of the main Scriptures for this turn around year of double portion deliverance and victory is found in Esther 9. We know of the decree of death and destruction released by Haman against the Jews authorizing the people of the land to kill them and take their possessions on the 13th day of the 12th month of Adar. But Esther wrote a new decree, in the king's name and sealed it with the king's ring, that the Jews had a right to defend themselves and kill those who were trying to kill them. (Photo "For Such a Time as This" by Donna Smallenberg via elijahshopper.com)

This carried over into the 14th day when they finished destroying those against them. On the 15th day they had a feast, a celebration of joy, that God had delivered them from their oppressors. This is that day! It was a time of turn around!

The turn started in the 13th year, continued through 2014 and we will see great fulfillment in 2015! Some need to write a new decree over your life for the upcoming season of time. God is mobilizing angels to see the things we decree come to pass!

2015 A Year of Divine Reversals!

I heard the Lord say that this would be "A Year of Divine Reversals." As a matter of fact, in Esther 9:1 when it speaks of the decree of Haman it says of that day "that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, though it was turned to the contrary that the Jews had rule over them that hated them."

ElijahList Prophetic Resources

I was surprised to find that the word "turned" in this verse is the Hebrew word haphak is the Strong's number 2015!! It means to overturn, to change, to overthrow, to turn around, to transform, to be reversed! This will be a year of Divine Reversal!

As a matter of fact, I heard the Lord say this would be a Boomerang Year! As we know, a boomerang gets thrown out and then returns to the one that threw it.

God is going to cause every curse and every assignment from Hell to be turned right back upon the head of our spiritual enemy!

Haman built gallows to hang the Jews, but he ended up being hanged on his own gallows! It wasn't only Haman who was destroyed, but also his 10 sons so they couldn't come back again to retaliate!(Photo via Wikipedia)

God is boomeranging the curses of Hell right back on the enemy. In the Message translation Esther 9:25reads "But when Queen Esther intervened with the king, he gave written orders that the evil scheme that Haman had worked out should boomerang back on his own head!"

God is turning the curse to a blessing for us, because He loves us! (Deuteronomy 23:5). God is also bringing divine reversals in situations that experienced a downturn. He is bringing a reversal of fortunes, a reversal out of death into life, a reversal out of sickness and pain into healing and wholeness.

Marriages on the verge of divorce can experience divine reversal and a renewal of love and hope for the future. Even in the United States of America, God has determined to bring some significant divine reversals back to a place of righteousness and justice.

So get ready for your divine reversals! Make a list to see what needs to be reversed and returned to you. 2015 will be your turn around year!

And "The Northwest is Positioned for Revival!"

The Window of Heaven Over Asia

I am departing for a five-nation tour of Asia (this week). I felt the Lord direct me to begin my year in that part of the world and travel to Shanghai, China; Taipei, Taiwan; Hong Kong; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Bangkok, Thailand.

There is much stirring over the nations of Asia at this time. However, I believe now is the time for the Window of Heaven to open over that region. God is realigning earth's plans with Heaven's purposes. The power of prophetic decrees causes earth to align with Heaven. Please join me in praying for the Window of Heaven to be opened over Asia!

The Northwest is Positioned for Awakening and Revival!

Thank you for praying for my travel to Oregon and Washington. Here is a picture from this ministry assignment – the first at the Elijah List Conference.(Two photos of Chuck Pierce above taken at the Elijah List Conference this past weekend.)

This is the time to declare the whirlwind of God will hover over the Northwest to break forth awakening and revival!

Israeli Leaders Defiant as Paris Victims Buried in Jerusalem

Israeli Leaders Defiant as Paris Victims Buried in Jerusalem

Tuesday, January 13, 2015 |  Israel Today Staff
Israeli leaders sounded a defiant tone on Tuesday as four Jewish victims of last week’s terrorist attacks in Paris were laid to rest in Jerusalem.
Philippe Braham, Yohan Cohen, Yoav Hattab and Francois-Michel Saada were all killed during after a Muslim gunman stormed a Jewish grocery store and held shoppers and staff hostage, just days after fellow jihadists massacred employees at the offices of a satirical magazine in the French capital.
The bodes of the four victims of the grocery store attack were flown to Israel along with their families.
Their funeral at Jerusalem’s Har HaMenuchot cemetery was attended by President Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, opposition leader Isaac Herzog and many other political and military leaders.
“This is not how we wanted to welcome you to Israel,” Rivlin said, looking to the bereaved families. “I stand before you, brokenhearted, shaken and in pain, and with me stands an entire nation. …This is sheer hatred of Jews; abhorrent, dark and premeditated, which seeks to strike, wherever there is Jewish life.”
Netanyahu vowed that no matter how dark the present situation, the terrorists “will never, ever beat us. This is the strength of an ancient people that has always prevailed and thank God, look around you, here in the mountains of Jerusalem, today we have a state of our own, flourishing and advanced, a state that is a moral beacon to the world.”
Herzog said there was a direct connection between the hatred that brought about the Paris supermarket attack, and the spilling of Jewish blood in Israel.
“A straight line connects the murder of the four Jews [in the Paris supermarket] to the bastards who penetrated the Har Nof synagogue and killed people at worship in their prayer shawls two months ago,” the opposition leader stated.
Herzog echoed Netanyahu in insisting that “terror will not win. …This is what brings the Jewish people together: the fact that we are set apart from other nations, the fact we face enemies.”

Jimmy Carter Blames Israel for Paris Attacks

Jimmy Carter Blames Israel for Paris Attacks

Tuesday, January 13, 2015 |  Ryan Jones  ISRAEL TODAY
Former US President Jimmy Carter once again provided his sagacious insight into the root causes of Islamic violence by pointing an accusing finger at, where else, Israel!
Carter made the remarks on Monday while appearing on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. When asked by host Jon Stewart what drove the kind of Islamic violence that claimed the lives of 17 people in Paris last week, Carter responded:
“Well, one of the origins for it is the Palestinian problem. And this aggravates people who are affiliated in any way with the Arab people who live in the West Bank and Gaza, what they are doing now — what’s being done to them. So I think that’s part of it.”
Carter has a long history of blaming all Middle East woes, and, indeed, most of the problems in the world, on Israel. And he is absolutely convinced that the lack of peace in this small sliver of land is no one’s fault but the Jews, as detailed in his 2006 book “Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid.”
The former peanut farmer-turned-most powerful man in the world has gone so far as to extol Hamas as totally trustworthy, unlike those Israeli Jews and their hordes of “Zionist” cohorts.
In late 2008, Carter during a trip to Damascus boasted over having advised Hamas leader Khaled Mashal on what price to demand for then-hostage Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.
