Camel. Ride. Negev Desert in Israel.

Out for a little back country stroll. Giddy up.

Camel Ranch near Eilat, Israel

Walk softly. Don't want to disturb the animals.

Water in the hole.

Backup - in case the camels don't want to work that day.

I see you. You see me?

Netanyahu: Israel's Taken 'Unprecedented Steps'

Netanyahu: Israel's Taken

'Unprecedented Steps'

Tzippe Barrow, CBN News Internet Producer - Jerusalem

From her perch high atop the mountains surrounding Jerusalem, Tzippe Barrow helps provide a bird’s eye view of events unfolding in her country.
She and her husband made aliyah (immigrated to Israel) several years ago. Barrow hopes that providing a biblical perspective of today’s events in Israel will help people in the nations to better understand the centrality of this state and the Jewish people to God’s unfolding plan of redemption for all mankind.

JERUSALEM, Israel -- The Palestinians must want peace as badly as Israel does to achieve a negotiated settlement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday.

He also said Iran is the greatest challenge facing Israel and the United States.

Netanyahu said he's obligated to do everything he can "to defend the Jewish state" from the greatest challenge it's facing: preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons capability.

"I think that goal can be achieved if Iran is prevented from enriching uranium and dismantles fully its military nuclear installations," he said.

Addressing negotiations with the Palestinian Authority, Netanyahu said Israel has taken "unprecedented steps" to reach an agreement over the past two decades.

"The 20 years that have passed since Israel entered the peace process have been marked by unprecedented steps that Israel has taken to advance peace," Netanyahu said.

Those steps have included vacating cities in Judea and Samaria and pulling out of the Gaza Strip entirely.

In an effort to woo the P.A. to resume direct talks, Israel not only froze construction in Judea and Samaria, it uprooted entire settlements and "released hundreds of terrorist prisoners, including dozens in recent months," he continued.

"And when you look at what we got in return, it's been scores of suicide bombings, thousands of rockets on our cities fired from the areas we vacated, and just incessant Palestinian incitement against Israel. So Israel has been doing its part, and I regret to say the Palestinians haven't," he concluded.

Netanyahu said Israelis want "real peace…not a piece of paper."

If the Palestinians want Israel to recognize their future state, "…it's about time they recognize a nation-state for the Jewish people. We've only been there for 4,000 years," he said.

Meanwhile, P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas, who's scheduled to meet with Obama next week, said he would consider extending negotiations if Netanyahu agrees to another construction freeze and more prisoner releases.

"The only chance that we will agree to extend the talks will be if Netanyahu declares a settlement construction freeze and the releasing of more prisoners," Abbas told MK Zehava Gal-On, chairwoman of the ultra-left-wing Meretz Party, during a meeting in Ramallah.

Some say the U.S. response to the crisis in Ukraine effectively weakens the Obama administration's leverage with Netanyahu to agree to another round of concessions.

Sharing Love From Sweden - Eva Haglund - Praying For The Nations

Shalom Steve!

I send you many greetings from Sweden!  It is about 5+ C just now. Spring is beginning to wake up.

I was outside praying for Sweden today. God shows me how to pray.

I have thought about intercession and think that we all need to be one and pray. If we stand together praying it is also strong. I feel myself that I want to take a new step in the school of intercession for nations and for the chosen country of Israel. I want to grow in this. There are nations who are bleeding today and they need our prayers.

To intercede for a friend, for a relative or a country is also to show love to people. It needs a lot of intercession. In Eph. 6:18 we can read about " supplication for all the saints". We can also read in the Bible about a house of prayer. We need church buildings to be more of house of prayers today with both young and old together.

In Acts. 12:5 we can see about Peter " constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church". It is interesting to see in Acts. 12:12 that there were many praying in a HOME - in a house as was Mary's. We also need prayer meetings in homes and in the Bible they were in Mary's house.

Jesus asked the disciples -could you not pray one hour and we can ask ourselves - can we pray one hour? If we are not used to this we maybe can begin with 15 minutes and increase at home. It is also better to have ONE prayer for Israel than NONE at all.

The nations need our prayers. There are BIG needs! Israel needs our help. They need our hearts in prayer!

We need different sorts of prayer. We need spiritual warfare for instance but also our tears In prayer as Jesus was crying for Jerusalem. Jesus loved and loves Jerusalem and the holy city needs our prayers today!

I think there needs tears in prayers for the nations also. If we do not have tears we can ask God for it. In Lament. 3:48-51 is written, "My eyes overflow with rivers of water for the destruction of My people. My eyes flow and not cease, without interruption, till the Lord from heaven looks down and sees. My eyes bring sufferings to my soul because of all the daughters of my city".

In Ps. 126:5 we can read " Those who sow in tears will reap in joy".  I think it also can be tears for the nations.

Worship and dance to Jesus is also strong spiritually. When we lift up God as Paul and Silas in the storm enemies flee and it happens spiritually when God is in the center of the worship.

We need to understand more in the Body of Christ also the importance spiritual dance to Jesus. Worship God with the body. We also need prophetic dance. Miram and David danced to God. I have read about prayer dance and have practiced it a little. It was interesting to read about.

Personally I think that sometimes a prayer night feels long, but you can also include dance worship (but careful if you have neighbors you can disturb!)

About intercession-  I think as we bless  Israel with  prayers He bless the nation we live in also. Anyone who blesses Israel is blessed so Jesus gives back when we pray so.

LET US PRAY FOR THE NATIONS

Let us pray...
Like a child in our arms -
Let us pray for our nations.
Let our hearts be crushed -
nations are bleeding...
Let our tears fall for the nations
Like a child you carry in your arms.
Crying for a child you love - love to the nations.
Israel is like a precious child for God.
Let our hearts be moved.

Stockholm

Many greetings and blessings from Stockholm! Please pray for Sweden!

Matthew McConaughey's 'God' Speech at the Oscars Required Courage

Matthew McConaughey's

'God' Speech

at the Oscars Required Courage

Matthew McConaughey accepts the Oscar for best actor
for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club" at the 86th Academy Awards
in Hollywood, California March 2, 2014.

Matthew McConaughey, winner of the Academy's "Best Actor" award, gave homage to God for his victory on Sunday evening, a move that few make in acceptance speeches, according to a graphic by The Associated Press. Voices in Christian media praised his speech, arguing that it took courage.
"First off I want to thank God because that's who I look up to," McConaughey, who won the "Best Actor" award for his portrayal of AIDS patient Ron Woodruff in "Dallas Buyers Club," declared at the Academy Awards on Sunday. McConaughey added that God has "graced my life with opportunities that I know are not of my hand or any other human hand." Before thanking his wife, children, mother, and late father, the actor quoted late British Actor Charlie Laughton – "When you got God, you got a friend and that friend is you."
Dan Gainor, vice president of business and culture for the Media Research Center, argued that this speech "breaks the mold of what Hollywood's image of Christians is." According to a graphic by AP, Academy Award winners thank many people, but God is not usually on the top of their list. More frequently, they thank the Academy, their spouse, mother, father, children, and management – in that order.
Many twitter users reacted negatively to McConaughey's reverential nod to God. "Ok so you really deserved it McConaughey. Just stop the stupid god talk," one detractor tweeted. "I thought we could get through the Oscars without someone thanking god but no he had to ruin it…," another responded.
"When did Matthew McConaughtey turn into Joel Osteen?" asked Elaine L (@LaineyGossip).
Gainor argued that the actor's reference to God took a great deal of courage. "He's a young guy, he just won an Oscar – arguably at the high point of his career," Gainor noted. "That's like saying you just won the Super Bowl and you're going to thank God on national television."
Product of Hollywood's Hedonistic Culture?
According to this graphic compiled by the Associated Press,
Oscar winners rarely thank God for their success.

"The increasing marginalization of what used to be mainstream Christianity is merely being reflected by Oscar winners," said Alex Wainer, associate professor of Communication and Media Studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Wainer argued that the trend against thanking God reflects a strong degree of secularization in Hollywood.
Academy Award winners "may not see God's hand in the approval of their fellow artists and thus don't thank God because they either don't see His hand in their success or may be embarrassed to be associated with such a benighted demographic as the Christian community," Wainer argued.
Gainor agreed. "Hollywood has a hedonistic culture – there's no doubt about it. It's an 'anything goes' sex, drugs, and rock and roll mentality," he declared.
Gainor did not necessarily blame the actors and directors for this, however. "Any sort of ego-fed field feeds our inherent narcissism, our lust for things that are not good, and it makes it very hard to turn to good things," he explained. Certain aspects of acting, like performing a love scene with someone who is not your wife, naturally undermines what is good.
"The family-friendly movies now are movies like 'Frozen,'" animated films that seem unrealistic, Gainor explained. "It's almost like the good things are comic book, cartoons, and the bad things are what they depict as real life."
Paul Asay, senior associate editor of Focus on the Family's Plugged In movie review site, argued that the general trend against thanking God in Oscar speeches may have nothing to do with an anti-Christian or anti-religious bias. The trend, if there is one, could speak to the fact that God is not as big of a motivating factor in the entertainment industry as He once was," Asay admitted. But he quickly added that "it could also be a demonstration that people view their faith as a more private exercise."
"Anytime you talk about God, there is going to be a little controversy about that," the reviewer argued. The Oscars do not aim to promote controversy, but try "to make people as comfortable as possible." In a way, Asay argued, "the Oscars are in the vein of Hollywood conservatism – they don't want to send any false notes."
Ted Baehr, chairman of the Christian Film and Television Commission and editor-in-chief of Movieguide, argued that the lack of gratitude to God is not limited to the Oscars. He noted that, even at the explicitly Christian Movieguide awards, which aired Monday night, "you thank Movieguide, you thank your family." When a colleague buys dinner, "you thank the person who takes you out to dinner, but not God."
Baehr expressed a preference for fewer praises to God at public events, in favor of more authentic tributes. "I'd rather have a heartfelt statement than a lot of people flapping their lips like it's what they should do," he explained. The critic mentioned rappers who thank God with their lips and then feature "abhorrent" sex acts abusing girls in their videos. He also mentioned Adolf Hitler, who appeared on the cover of Time Magazine in 1936 for "Thanking God."
"We know that Hitler was not a Christian," Baehr explained, citing the book The End of the Spear, among others.
As opposed to Hitler's false thanks, Baehr praised McConaughey's genuine gratitude. "I think Matthew is very explicit about God because he had been kicked out of Hollywood," the critic explained, referencing the actor's previous involvement with marijuana and other drugs.

Patricia King: Love Under Fire - The Days Are Both Glorious and Treacherous! (The Elijah List)

Patricia King:
Love Under Fire
- The Days Are Both
Glorious and Treacherous!

Patricia KingI see a vision of a mighty army – strong and powerful. It is God's Love Army and they are fighting the Love War. They stand for His truth with unwavering commitment, they are faithful to obey His Word, and they have learned to love with His perfect, unfailing love.

Oh how beautiful and majestic is this army!
The days we are living in are both glorious and yet treacherous! Isaiah 60:1-3 declares that it is our time to arise and shine for the glory of the Lord has risen upon us and in the midst of a dark hour we will see the nations turn to Christ.
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

A Spiritual Power Will Speak Out Against the Saints and His Word

We also discover through Daniel 7:25-27, that a spiritual power will speak out against the Lord and His Word and will wear down the saints.

He will make alterations in times and in law, and the saints will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. Ultimately, the tables will turn and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated, and be destroyed forever and the dominion will be given to the saints of the highest one.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 describes the difficulties of times coming at the end:
"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God — having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people."

Sounds intense doesn't it? It is...But!

If we don't quit, we win. Choose today whom you will serve. Choose today to love the Lord your God will all your heart, mind, strength and soul and love others as yourself – Matthew 22:36-40:

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Uncompromised in Truth and Love

What will your love look like when it is "Under Fire"? What will it look like when you are possibly accused as being a judgmental, religious bigot because of the Lord and His Word that you love, believe, live, and proclaim?

This is a day when we must be uncompromised in both truth and love.

The Spirit of Humanism will arise as the greatest enemy of the Church in this hour, changing and altering times and laws. This spirit will even find its place of authority in the Church as SOME leaders and Believers bow to its philosophies and is even in this hour active within the house of God – beware 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4:
"Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God."

We will stand faithful no matter what. We will not be tossed about with every wind of doctrine. We will cleave to His truth even if it is not popular amongst the masses.
Remember that love always desires the highest for the sake of another.

Love is willing to risk even if misunderstood. Love speaks the truth and does not rejoice in unrighteousness. Jesus loved perfectly and in the midst of His accusers, He did not open His mouth a word in His own defense. He forgave...and laid His life down – for all.

Let's hold fast to His example and become just like Him... Let's become LOVE.

"And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death." Revelation 12:11

Love Under Fire - The Days Are Both Glorious and Treacherous!
Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:

In this world, we are called to both love unconditionally and to stand for truth – especially TRUTH HIMSELF, JESUS.

In this article, Patricia poses an important question to you:

What will your love look like when it is "Under Fire"? What will it look like when you are possibly accused as being a judgmental, religious bigot because of the Lord and His Word that you love, believe, live, and proclaim?

To many this is such a tough line to walk – to love purely and yet stand for the truth and truths of God, though accusations fly against us.
That's why you need to read Patricia's article today...
