Canadian Elections Could Spell Doom for Israel as “Anti-Israel” Candidates Gain Ground

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” (Proverbs 17:17)
On Monday, October 19th, the Canadian parliament will hold elections, possibly jeopardizing the pro-Israel stance of its government. The Conservative-led Canadian government has been one of Israel’s best friends for nine years, standing up for Israel time and again in international bodies such as the United Nations, as well as the G8, under the leadership of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Breaking Israel News spoke with Ilan Mann, a Conservative party activist working on the campaign of an incumbent MP (Member of Parliament) for Thornhill, which has a very strong Jewish representation. Mann described why it is so important for people who care about Israel, Jews and non-Jews alike, to vote for the Conservative Party of Canada.
“The Conservative government’s record on Israel has been second to none, both in Canadian history, and in the international community,” he explained. “This is represented clearly by the fact that several Israeli and Canadian publications have commented that Harper is ‘Israel’s best friend.’”
In January 2014, Israel honored Harper by giving him the “Key to the Knesset” in thanks for his friendship. Harper, in an address to the Knesset, told the Israeli people and the world that Canada will stand with Israel through fire and water.
Harper’s “morality doctrine” has been the lynchpin of his government’s foreign policy for the Middle East, often garnering bad press for Canada. When Canada’s bid for a coveted seat on the United Nations Security Council was rejected, the Conservative government’s Israel stance was cited by its critics as a possible explanation why.
“The Conservative Party of Canada recognizes Israel as a beacon of freedom in a region plagued by oppression, tyranny and terror, which is why we will continue to stand with Israel on the world stage,” said Mann. Indeed, the Harper government has not flinched from the proverbial slap in the face it received from the United Nations, even going so far as to harshly criticize the international body by calling it a “debate club for dictators.”
It seems that other parties vying for control over the Canadian parliament are looking to appear strong on Israel as well. According to Mann, “This election, every party has tried to emulate the Conservative Party’s principled position on the Canada-Israel relationship.”
Get Your Own Personal Israel Flag Today!
However, Mann added, this newly adopted stance may not be as genuine as it seems for the Liberal or National Democratic Party (NDP). “The reality is, that actions speak louder than words,” Mann said. “The Conservative Party is the only party that is not running, and will not run, a single anti-Israel or anti-Semitic candidate.”
“The Conservative Party will never take the middle road when it comes to the only democracy in the Middle East,” he added.
Mann said that the track records of other candidates running for office speak for themselves. “The NDP ranks are ripe with anti-Israel candidates, including star candidate Andrew Cash, who has spoken in favor of the BDS movement,” he pointed out.
Mann also noted that the Liberal party’s list features anti-Israel MPs. “The Liberal ticket includes Omar Alghabra, former head of the Canadian Arab Federation, who has refused to condemn Palestinian suicide bombers as terrorists, doesn’t believe that Hamas is committed to the elimination of Israel and said that Israel’s actions in defense of its citizen during last year’s operation in Gaza were ‘blind and cruel’,” he told Breaking Israel News.
Mann compared the empty rhetoric of other parties to the Conservative Party’s consistently pro-Israel actions. “Meanwhile, the Conservatives have spoken publicly against the BDS movement, have stood by Israel in the face of rockets and ongoing terror, and defunded the Canadian Arab Federation for their support of terrorism and promotion of anti-Semitism,” he said.
“When it comes to the question of the Canada-Israel relationship, there has never, in our short history as friend and allies, been a starker choice,” he concluded.
Canadians go to the polls on Monday, October 19th, in what is shaping up to be one of the closest elections in Canadian history. According to current election polls, the Liberal party has a strong lead. What this will mean for Canada’s close relationship with Israel remains to be seen.

How Obama Ushered in the New Age of Christian Martyrdom - BIN

How Obama Ushered in the New Age of Christian Martyrdom

“Do you realize what you have done?” — Vladimir Putin, President of Russia
Everywhere that U.S. leadership helped Islamic jihadis topple secular autocrats in the name of “democracy and freedom,” indigenous Christian minorities are forced either to convert to Islam or die.
Many are accepting death.
Most recently, on August 28 near Aleppo, the Islamic State (IS or ISIS) tortured, mutilated, publicly raped, beheaded and crucified 12 Christians for saying they “would never renounce Christ” for Muhammad.
The jihadis took one group in front of a large crowd. They cut off the fingertips of a 12-year-old boy, who steadfastly refused to submit to Islam. They “severely beat him, telling his father they would stop the torture only if he, the father, returned to Islam.” He refused, so they “also tortured and beat him and the two other ministry workers. The three men and the boy then met their deaths in crucifixion.”
According to a Christian leader associated with the martyrs, “They were left on their crosses for two days. No one was allowed to remove them.” A sign saying “INFIDELS” was placed next to their crosses.
BIN-OpEd-Experts-300x250(1)
The other eight Christians, including two women, aged 29 and 33, were also ordered to renounce Christ and embrace Islam before a large crowd. When they refused,
“The Islamic extremists then publicly raped the women, who continued to pray during the ordeal, leading the ISIS militants to beat them all the more furiously.
“As the two women and the six men knelt before they were beheaded, they were all praying.
“‘Villagers said some were praying in the name of Jesus, others said some were praying the Lord’s prayer, and others said some of them lifted their heads to commend their spirits to Jesus,’ the ministry director said. “One of the women looked up and seemed to be almost smiling as she said, ‘Jesus!'”
“After they were beheaded, their bodies were hung on crosses, the ministry director said.”
The same is happening in the two other Arab nations where the U.S., under the pretext of “freedom and democracy,” overthrew the secular dictators who had long kept a lid on the jihadis: Libya and Iraq.
Late last year, Andrew White, an Anglican priest known as the “Vicar of Baghdad,” recounted the horrific atrocities against Christians in Iraq — including seeing their children chopped in half for refusing to embrace Islam:
“ISIS turned up and they said to the [Christian] children, ‘You say the words [shehada, convert to Islam], that you will follow Muhammad.’ And the children, all under 15, four of them, they said, ‘No, we love Jesus [Yesua]. We have always loved Jesus. We have always followed Jesus. Jesus has always been with us.” They [ISIS] said, ‘Say the words!’ They [children] said, ‘No, we can’t.’ [White starts sobbing] They chopped all their heads off. How do you respond to that? You just cry. They are my children. That is what we have been going through. That is what we are going through.”
Targeting Christian children in Iraq goes back to soon after the ousting of Saddam Hussein. In June 2008, a Canadian parliamentary committee heard about how “militant Muslims” were crucifying Christian children: “Since the war began in 2003, about 12 children, many as young as 10, have been kidnapped and killed, then nailed to makeshift crosses near their homes to terrify and torment their parents.”
Raymond Ibrahim's Book
In one of his Facebook postings, White, who regularly posted pictures of Christian martyrs, wrote:
“The photo I was sent today was the most awful I have ever seen. A family of 8 all shot through the face lying in a pool of blood, with their Bible open on the couch. They would not convert. It cost them their life.”
White also told of how ISIS members came to a Christian man and said, “Either you convert to Islam or we kill all your children.” The father, in desperation, declared the shehada: “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah,” thus becoming a Muslim. He then phoned White:
“Abouna, abouna [father, father] I said the words! Does that mean Jesus doesn’t love me anymore? I have always loved Jesus but I said those words because I couldn’t see my children being killed!”
“No Elias,” White said. “Jesus still loves you — he will always love you.”
There are many historic accounts of Christians slaughtered for refusing to renounce Christ for Muhammad — whether 100,000 Georgians beheaded or burned alive, or a “mere” 813 Italians decapitated, or else “converting out of fear. A report, for instance, from Medieval Egypt states:
In 1389, a great procession of Copts who had accepted Muhammad under fear of death, marched through Cairo. Repenting of their apostasy, they now wished to atone for it by…returning to Christianity. So as they marched, they announced that they believed in Christ and renounced Muhammad. They were seized and all the men were beheaded one after another in an open square before the women. But this did not terrify the women; so they, too, were all martyred (Crucified Again, pgs. 113-114).
In Libya, earlier this year, the Islamic State released a video depicting 21 Coptic Christians being decapitated in the North African nation. While holding their victims’ bodies down, Islamic State members shoved their fingers in the Christians’ eyes, craned their heads back, and sliced away at their throats with knives. As with the recent public rape, beheading, and crucifixion of the 12 Christians near Aleppo, some of the Egyptian Christians were also seen praying to Christ. One Coptic priest later described the scene:
“The name of Jesus was their last word… With that name, whispered at the very last, their martyrdom was sealed.

ISIS terrorists prepare to murder 21 Egyptian Christians in Libya, February 2015.
Over one month before the video appeared, the BBC had falsely reported that the majority of those now slaughtered Copts were “released.” Sadly, such downplaying of Muslim persecution of Christians is standard for the BBC.
When the Islamic State released another video in April of more Christians in Libya being massacred, a masked IS spokesman addressed “Christians everywhere“:
“We say to Christians everywhere, the Islamic State will expand, with Allah’s permission. And it will reach you even if you are in fortified strongholds. So whoever enters Islam will have security… But whoever refuses will see nothing from us but the edge of a spear. The men will be killed and the children will be enslaved, and their wealth will be taken as booty. This is the judgment of Allah and His Messenger.”
The next scene portrays the captive Ethiopian Christians being shot in the back of the head or having their heads carved off.
The ongoing slaughter of Christians by the Islamic State, and the destruction of churches and antiquities, must be laid at the feet of those Western nations that, intentionally or unintentionally, paved the way for the Islamic State.
As Russian President Vladimir Putin recently said before the United Nations, while addressing those nations that supported the “Arab Spring” — chief among them America:
Instead of the triumph of democracy and progress, we got violence, poverty and social disaster — and nobody cares a bit about human rights, including the right to life. I cannot help asking those who have forced that situation: Do you realize what you have done?
Whether they realize it or not, they continue to do it in Syria — with Christians often paying the highest price.[1]

Wal-Mart's Worst Stock Crash in 27 Years Is Another Sign That the Economy Is Rapidly Falling Apart

Wal-Mart's Worst Stock Crash in 27 Years Is Another Sign That the Economy Is Rapidly Falling Apart

Now that a major global recession has begun, you would expect major retailers like Wal-Mart to run into trouble as consumer spending dries up, and that is precisely what is happening.
On Wednesday, shares of Wal-Mart experienced their largest single day decline in 27 years after an extremely disappointing earnings projection was released. The stock was down about 10 percent, which represented the biggest plunge since January 1988. Over 21 billion dollars in shareholder wealth was wiped out on Wednesday, and this was just the continuation of a very bad year for Wal-Mart stockholders.
Overall, shares had already declined by 22 percent so far in 2015 before we even got to Wednesday. Here is more on this stunning turn of events from Bloomberg:
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. suffered its worst stock decline in more than 27 years after predicting a drop in annual profit, underscoring the giant retailer's struggles to reignite growth.
Earnings will decrease 6 percent to 12 percent in fiscal 2017, which ends in January of that year, the Bentonville, Arkansas-based company said at its investor day on Wednesday. Analysts had estimated a gain of 4 percent on average, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
If it was just Wal-Mart that was having trouble, that would be bad enough. But the truth is that signs that the U.S. economy has entered another major downturn are popping up all around us. Just consider the following list of economic indicators that Graham Summers recently put out:
The Fed has now kept interest rates at zero for 81 months.
This is the longest period in the history of the Fed's existence, lasting longer than even the 1938-1942 period of ZIRP.
And the U.S. economy is moving back into recession. Consider that:
1. Industrial production fell five months straight in the first half of 2015. This has never happened outside of a recession.
2. Merchant Wholesalers' Sales are in recession territory.
3. The Empire Manufacturing Survey is in recession territory.
4. All four of the Fed's September Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) readings (Philadelphia, New York, Richmond, and Kansas City) came in at readings of sub-zero. This usually happens when you are already 4-5 months into a recession. (H/T Bill Hester)
Another huge red flag is the fact that month after month fewer products are being shipped around the country compared to last year.
If less stuff is being shipped around by truck, rail and air, is it a sign that the economy is getting better or is it a sign that the economy is getting worse?
The answer, of course, is self-evident. With that in mind, please read the following excerpt which comes from a recent article by Wolf Richter:
It has been crummy all year: With the exception of January and February, the shipping volume has been lower year-over-year every month!
The index is broad. It tracks data from shippers, no matter what carrier they choose, whether truck, rail, or air, and includes carriers like FedEx and UPS.
Evidence keeps piling up in the most unpleasant manner that something isn't quite right in the real economy. The world is now in an inexplicable slowdown – "inexplicable" for central bankers who've cut interest rates to zero or below zero years ago, and who're still dousing some economies with QE even as governments are running up big deficits. And yet, despite seven years of this huge monetary and fiscal stimulus, the global economy is deteriorating.
OK, so is there anyone out there that still believes that the U.S. economy is in good shape?
The Obama administration will probably not admit it for a very long time, but the truth is that the numbers very clearly tell us that we are in a recession.
Anybody out there, whether an "expert" or just someone you happen to know, that tells you that everything is just fine is either completely ignorant or they are purposely lying to you.
And just like in 2008, state and local governments are starting to get into tremendous financial trouble as the real economy sputters. For example, the governor of Illinois has told reporters that "we are out of money now" and that pension fund payments will be delayed as a result:
Illinois will delay payments to its pension fund as a prolonged budget impasse causes a cash shortage, Comptroller Leslie Geissler Munger said.
The spending standoff between Republican Governor Bruce Rauner and Democratic legislative leaders has extended into its fourth month with no signs of ending. Munger said her office will postpone a $560 million retirement-fund payment next month, and may make the December contribution late.
"This decision is choosing the least of a number of bad options," Munger told reporters in Chicago on Wednesday. "For all intents and purposes, we are out of money now."
When these sorts of things started happening in 2008, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and the Bush administration went into full-blown denial mode. They kept telling all of us not to worry and that everything would be OK, and that just made things worse in the end.
The same thing is happening now. The Obama administration and the mainstream media keep talking about an "economic recovery" even in the face of numbers such as I have discussed in this article.
Perhaps things are going well for you personally at the moment, and that is great. But now is not the time to buy lots of new toys. Nor is it the time to accumulate more debt.
Instead, now is a time to position yourself for a period of difficulty that could stretch on for years.
The next recession is here, and it is going to grow progressively worse.
The wise will take heed and make preparations, but the foolish will just keep on doing what they have been doing until it is far too late.

God Often Speaks In Silence by Wayne Sutton

God Often Speaks In Silence by Wayne Sutton

Identity Network
The life of a prophet is one with many visions, deep impressions of the soul, and often 'silence.'
Why does "one who hears" find silence from the Lord?  I believe that silence itself is one powerful way that our Father communicates with his children.
A silence, a soft wind, a hush among the noise...How do you hear God?
As one of my children may ask me a question, I do not always verbally answer. My answer may be a look that corrects or affirms their question or actions.  My silence is not a place of rejection or distance from my children - instead it's an act of pure love.
Silence Will Demand Wisdom
Often when we receive an instant answer for every question we ask, we tend to lose our own identity and assurance in our ability to make decisions.  I love when my children ask me questions, yet I also desire to see them mature into a child that will learn to allow wisdom to grow within their life and be displayed in areas where decisions are required. Silence is communication.
Silence Will Create Attention
"Are you listening to me... hello....?"
When we speak and 'feel" like we have not been heard (even though God always hears), it refocuses us and directs our attention back to the Lord.  Many times we will begin a fast or spend time in worship and prayer. Silence often aligns our heart back into the spirit realm we are created to live and thrive in! Silence is communication.
Silence is Only for a Season
Knock and it will be opened for you.  A knock is a call - the reply comes from the one that has the power to open the door. Silence is for a season, and if you are not hearing God in this season, or about a certain situation, then trust that God is still hearing you.  Trust that the spirit of wisdom comes upon us and we live from that reality even when we do not "hear" a clear voice from God.  Silence is communication.
Seek Counsel in Times of Silence
A few years ago a great friend of our ministry came to me and asked to me to seek the Lord for her about a situation in her life.  I diligently prayed and sought the Lord on her behalf.
Yet, I heard nothing from the Lord.
This was very unusual, and so I prayed and sought the Lord yet again, and yet again.  Several days later in our next meeting I apologetically explained that although I minister prophetically almost every day, in her case I had heard nothing.  "Amen!" she shouted...then she admitted that she had asked God for my silence as a prophet - so that SHE could be sure that even the silence was from God. We both learned the importance of silence in that season. Silence is communication.
God always hears his children and God speaks in many different ways - even through prophetic silence.  Always seek and trust the Lord in your life!
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7

Prophetic Destiny: 3 More Tests of an Overcomer - Che Ahn

Here are more tests to pass before you will see your prophetic dreams come to light.

Prophetic Destiny: 3 More Tests of an Overcomer

Get ready to step into a new season.
September 13-15 marked the beginning of a new year on the Jewish calendar (5776). While nowadays we use the Greco-Roman calendar system, I feel the Jewish calendar has prophetic significance, and I always sense something stirring in the spirit around this time of year.
Usually coinciding with Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), September is also a significant month for me personally: It's when I got married to the love of my life, when I was ordained and when I received a prophetic dream to move to Los Angeles.
This Jewish New Year is extra special because it is the Year of Jubilee. On the Jewish calendar, years are observed in seven-year cycles, with a sabbatical year on the seventh year. Then at the culmination of every seven cycles (a total of 49 years) comes the 50th year: the Year of Jubilee, when all agricultural work ceased, all land was returned to its original owner and all slaves were released into freedom! (See Leviticus 25:8-24.)
God wants to unload His immeasurable blessings on you in this New Year!
If you want to walk in the fullness of what God is doing, you must partner with His prophetic plan both for the church as a whole and for your own journey of faith.
On Tuesday, I shared the first two tests you must overcome to see your prophetic dream come to pass as you pursue your God-given destiny. Today let's take a look at the next three:
3. The Purity Test. In Genesis 39 the story of Joseph continues as he faced a test that every person has to go through: the purity test.
"Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, and after a while his master's wife took notice of Joseph and said, 'Come to bed with me!' But he refused" (Gen. 39:6-8).
Joseph passed the purity test with flying colors. What was his secret? He had the right perspective that was aligned with the fear of the Lord: "How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?" (Gen. 39:9).
If you want God's blessing and favor, you must flee from immorality—and run straight to the Lord!
4. The Prison Test. The next phase of Joseph's journey was another test of character. After being falsely accused of rape, Joseph was sent to the king's prison (Gen. 39:17-20). There he was sustained by the Lord as he kept his heart from bitterness due to injustice.
To overcome the prison test, you must persevere and hold onto hope that is anchored in God. Perseverance means fighting the battle while you are waiting.
Perseverance produces character (Rom. 5:3-5), and character is the key to supporting your destiny. Deep character comes through deep trials.
5. The Prosperity Test. Finally, through a series of God-orchestrated events—including extraordinary prophetic insight that came through the interpretation of dreams (Gen. 40-41)—Joseph came into a place of power and influence as his prophetic destiny unraveled (Gen. 40:38-44).
The final test boils down to how you handle prosperity and favor when it's given to you. It's not just about reaching your destiny but what you do with your destiny.
When God prospers you, it's your responsibility to intentionally give Him all the glory.
Joseph's story is a tale of trials and testing, but it's also a testimony of God's faithfulness to complete the work He started.
God has a dream for you! His thoughts for you are higher than yours, and you are called to greatness in His Kingdom!

Today's Israel Inspiration

Here's an amazing insight into the name Jesse, father of King David. Jesse's name in Hebrew is Yishaiיִשַׁי composed of a Yud, Shin, Yud. In the Book of Deuteronomy (33:5), the tribes are described as being "united under a king" and those words in Hebrew are Yachad Shivtei Yisrael (יַחַד שִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל), which forms the acronym "Yishai"! Thus in his very name, we see a hint of the royalty and greatness that was to come from Yishai through his son David, the king of Israel.

the Prophecy of the War of Gog and Magog

With Russia’s military involvement in Syria growing, many Christians believe that Russia is "Magog" from the end of days' War of Gog and Magog, and that is due reason to pay close attention to activity at Israel’s northern border.

I have enjoyed seeing pictures and reading about Israel and the Jewish people.  I pray that the Lord will continue to watch over Israel and protect the land and inhabitants. I fear that our President's deal with Iran is trouble of the worst kind.  We have a year and two months before we vote on a new President. I pray we have a strong leader that understands we are blessed if we bless Israel.  That is a promise from God. He doesn't lie. My name is Ann and I am from Kansas in the United States.
