Dear Watching Ones: There are certain gatherings when the presence of God is so overwhelming. This past Sunday when we walked into the Tabernacle for our 7:30 AM service, you could sense HIM in the midst of us. What follows is a prophetic compilation from Sunday morning. Several key dreams with prophetic interpretation follow this.


Please read these dreams and prophecies carefully. All of these will help explain the "MOMENT" we are in.

This is the Day of the Turning Point!

I would say to you, "Embrace your turning point. Over this past season you've been sifted and you've been strained, and you have even fought for your very breath. But this is a day of change! This is a day of rearranging! 

This is a time that I AM sending a three-fold cord of empowerment into your soul that cannot be broken. 

For many of your nerves were strained and broken over the last seven years. Many covenants that you thought would last are now lying by the wayside.

"I am now sending a three-fold cord to reform, and to restore, and to rebuild. I am causing My restoration of your future to begin to rise. Step into the well and the water that is now stirring and moving. 

Watch Me begin to wash away what strained you. Watch Me cause you to shine. Watch Me give you new territory for this season.

"You have heard Me release Safe Passage. You have heard Me release Turning Point. But now you will see and hear Me as I come forth as Redeemer, Restorer, and Rebuilder. I am sending angels connected with these three dimensions of transformation. What was broken will be fixed, brought forth, and renewed.

"When you look at yourself don't look for the pot or vessel that you were. I've had to disconnect elements from how you were built, crush, and then add new liquid that would cause you to be made into a structure for the future.

What I am rebuilding, restoring and redeeming will look different from anything you expected from the past.

Others that look you at would say, 'Who is this person?'

"Your heel will crush the head of the snakes you've seen in the past. The attacks you've seen between brothers and brothers, and sisters and sisters – look ahead and see the covenant that I have been developing.

I will send My people realigned into the enemy's camp. This realigned army will defeat the enemy and the booty will be brought to My Kingdom. You will fight alongside those you thought were sifted away.

I am restoring an army in a new way, and I am realigning a new day.

"For I am bringing down the Ancient Book with mysteries.

These books carry the strategies for legislators of the Kingdom.

These strategies contain revelation for a new dimension of Kingdom power. These strategies will overtake the enemy in every region that I assign you to. So receive the books – the Ancient Books – that carry the strategies of the legislation of God."

I Need You! Therefore, I Am Drawing You!

"This will be a time that I will release a new seeking draw upon your life. You will begin to seek Me and long for Me. You will begin to say, 'I must have intervention! I must have a breaking-in of God's presence and His life!' I am going to draw you, and you will seek Me in a way you haven't sought Me! 

You will know Me in a way you haven't known Me! Feel the drawing, and submit to the drawing. Watch your new level of seeking begin. I will draw you into that which you have been longing to experience.

"For this is a time that I am beginning to brood and reform in a new way. For there are things that I have longed to see come into the earth realm.

As My people gather and loose the sound of Heaven, I will hover and rearrange chaos.

I am calling My people into a new place of alignment. My army is beginning to assemble. A new sound of joy, a new sound of laughter, and a new demonstration of power is beginning to arise. Allow My Spirit to brood over you. As I meet with you, you will see the two ends that could not meet in the last season begin to form a new line of demarcation.

"Your praise and worship are rising as an occupying force in the spirit realm. There is a rout taking place in the spirit world! This will only increase. There is a displacement coming in the second heaven from the worship and praise of My people as they seek My Spirit and respond to all I am offering them."

I Am Rearranging Your Past Confusion!

"I have been rearranging your confusion, for you have not been able to see the joy in the midst of the chaos around you. This will be a time that I draw out the joy that is in you. I have placed you in that chaos that is around you to produce joy.

If you will release the joy that I have developed within you, the chaos will subside and you will see the order around you.

"It's not how eloquently or long you pray! 

The key is the ONE WORD of faith. 

As you speak that one word, your situation will change. Do not let the downdraft pull you down into the circumstances that are surrounding you. Remain buoyant with that one word. The one word is your breakthrough in this season.

"Declare breakthrough after breakthrough after breakthrough into everything that seems chaotic. 

Your buoyant faith is what causes you to arise in the midst of everything that is trying to pull you down. Don't stop at one breakthrough, but go from breakthrough to breakthrough until you are beyond breakthrough.

"My Names that you have built within you in the past season will now come into fullness. This will cause angelic armies to align with you and push you through the atmosphere that is attempting to hold you. Every force must bow! It is not the mere words that you speak, but it is the one effective word that causes a 'bulls-eye' shot."

Anne Tate's Dream of the Beginning of Unusual Miracles!

On Sunday morning I had a dream just before waking up. In the dream I was seated at a high, square table that was open in the middle and that could seat 8 people on each of the 4 sides. (The word that came to me was 4-squared.) You (Chuck) were there along with others that I work and minister with. On the table in front of me was a pair of glasses that were folded – lens up. Something fell on one of the lens and created a circle of cracks like a rock hitting a windshield.

I picked the glasses up and the mar or starburst (the broken portion) slid right off the lens. The vision of your land, your ministry, and those that you thought you would work with, that had been marred in the past season, had now slid off. The miracle of restored vision occurred. What we had been looking through to develop the new beginning for our feast in the land portion had been restored.

The Lord spoke to me and said,"We are in a window of unusual miracles." 

I knew He was telling me that healing wasn't even a drop in the bucket of the miracles we are going to see. He began to stretch out words in the atmosphere around me of all kinds of unimaginable occurrences. (Photo via Pixabay)

The Lord had me comprehend that it was the faith that had been released over the last year as we did the "5:15 Movement" prayer watches that was now going to start manifesting. The 5:15 was the beginning of a new identity that produced faith in us. We then connected that with "The Counting of the Omer" which shifted into a harvest multiplication dimension. Following this we engaged in "Daniel Prayer".

Then we were led to exalt and pray the "Names of God" (Hallowed be Thy Name)! Now the "52 Days of Arising and Building" will thrust into a repairing the losses of the past, rolling away the reproach, walking in the Spirit, and securing our boundaries for the future.

Linda Heidler's Dream of Unlocking Keys of Revelation and Breakthrough!

Two young men and my daughter, Lindy, were like a special-ops team. Each had a portion of a special assignment and were skilled experts in what they did. They were very focused on an assignment somewhere in Israel. They were working very intently, but then threw their hands up and said, "This is it! We can't go any farther than where we are now." I knew they hadn't completed what they were supposed to do, and it was going to be very bad since the project had not been finished.

Suddenly, all three of them started jumping up and down, waving their arms and worshipping, and saying, "God, You are so good! Praise God! Hallelujah!" They could not contain or hold it in. In my mind, I couldn't see what had brought this kind of response. As they did that, keys started falling, and they reached out and grabbed them. When each one had a key, they looked at their key and at each other and said, "We can finish now!" Then they went right back to work.

When I woke up I heard the Scripture from Habakkuk 3:17-19. In those verses, exalt means "to jump for joy" and rejoice means "to spin wildly with joy". When we choose to worship like that in that kind of situation, the Lord gives us hinds' feet to ascend on the high places. All the sources of provision mentioned in the verses are "lowland" provision. However, the Lord was saying, "When you choose to worship Me like this, I will cause you to leap up to a place where none of that is an issue."

"You are at the end of a path that I have put you on. Although you have been trained and have come to a place of understanding of how to maneuver on this path, you can go no further until you rely upon Me. This will be a time that you cry out and rejoice in Me.

"When you reach the end of your provision and understanding, worship and praise Me for all I've given you. If you will do that, then I will send down the door to your next storehouse. Many of My people will now be at their end. However, when you begin to rejoice, you will leap into a new vision and see into the place that I have for your future!"

Pam Pierce's Dream of The Narrow Doorway!

I was on a farm with a big old barn, farmhouse and people everywhere. I was in the house going from room to room, and noticed how narrow the doorways were. At one point, I started through a doorway and had to turn sideways to make it through. I got stuck and began to panic, but knew I had to exhale. After I exhaled I was able to make it through the door.

When I tried to leave that same room, I thought, "That doorway looks even narrower now." So I exhaled and started through but got stuck and really began to panic. The people in the room with me said, "Stay calm...we'll just oil you up!" So they got out a bottle of olive oil and greased me up on both sides and pushed me through.

"There are familiar doors that you have gone through before. But in this season it will take a different approach to be able to go through these doors. When you try to go back through a door I've already sent you through, even that will require a different stance. 

Only as you are fully led, covered and oiled by My Spirit, will you be able to move through those doors.

"Some of those doors will also require others to help you get through. You will not only need an anointing, but a collaborative spirit – a synergy that will bring forth a new energy. Look to your companions for the anointing. 

For surely, they will assist you as you move through ever-narrowing doors. Know that the opportunities are there along with the resources and provision to get you through your door. (Photo via flickr)

"Though you are moving forward, I will be returning you to some places you've been to previously. For you to get back in those places, you must have the help and anointing of others to allow you to bring the spoils from those places back into the new. Time is beginning to narrow around you.

In the midst of this narrowing, I will anoint you, and cause other's anointings to assist you so you accomplish that which I am calling you to do."

Miracle Report from Myanmar!

Doug Fraser is one of the apostolic leaders aligned with this ministry. He wrote us yesterday to share the following:

Here is a miracle report from a young pastor that I am working with in Myanmar. On the day you shared the reading of Psalm 37 for our Walking in the Spirit Prayer Focus, I sent it to Pastor M, since I share with him what we are doing at Glory of Zion.

 He sent me a message last night that another pastor was caught in military crossfire at a freedom rally in his area. He was carrying a Bible, and a bullet fired at demonstrators hit his Bible and was stopped at Psalm 37. The people are sharing this as a miracle of God's protection! Next year I am planning to go to Myanmar to work on setting up an Apostolic/Kingdom center there. But I just had to share the power of God's favor and moving forward in the nations by our obedience to share His current revelation. (Photo via Wikimedia)

Wow – what an amazing testimony! Stop and read Psalm 37:23-24 and thank the Lord that He orders our steps and upholds us daily: "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand."

What is “Apocalyptic Islam” and why is it so dangerous? The research behind my remarks to the Jerusalem Leaders Summit. by joelcrosenberg Addressing the Jerusalem Leaders Summit on the threat of "Apocalyptic Islam." (Jerusalem, Israel) -- Eschatology is not a word that typically comes up in public policy forums. Yesterday afternoon, however, I had the honor of addressing the Jerusalem Leaders Summit here in the heart of the epicenter. My remarks focused on the rise of Apocalyptic Islam -- what it is, why it is emerging as a far more serious threat to the U.S., Israel, and the world than Radical Islam, and how Shia and Sunni eschatology differ immensely from Jewish and Christian eschatology. For the last several days, my fellow speakers -- including Members of the European Parliament -- and I have been meeting with Israeli government officials to share ideas on a range of economic and security matters. Yesterday morning, for example, we visited the Knesset (Israel's parliament) and were briefed by the Knesset Member Tzachi Hanegbi, chairman of the Foreign & Defense Affairs Committee, on the Iran nuclear threat and the current wave of Palestinian terror. In my remarks to the Summit, and in individual conversations with Israeli leaders, journalists and business leaders, I have been making the case that I have expressed in numerous forums in the U.S., Canada, South Korea and around the world. We cannot defeat an enemy we refuse to define. To misunderstand the nature and threat of evil is to risk being blindsided by it. Evil, unchecked, is a prelude to genocide. That we are facing not one but two nation states right now (Iran & the Islamic States) whose leaders are motivated by a genocidal version of Islamic eschatology, or End Times theology. Far more attention needs to be paid by government leaders and public policy experts on the theology and eschatology driving our enemies. I noted that President Obama foolishly -- dangerously -- continues to adamantly refuse to acknowledge the threat of Radical Islam. It's both a concept and a term he rejects out of hand. He certainly refuses to acknowledge that there is a far greater threat emerging -- that of what I call "Apocalyptic Islam." Indeed, he and his administration are completely ignoring it, even as Iranian and ISIS leaders are becoming far more brazen in their public discussions of their End Times beliefs. On July 14th, President Obama expressed his full support for the Iran nuclear deal, saying, "Time and again, I have made clear to the Iranian people that we will always be open to engagement on the basis of mutual interests and mutual respect.  Our differences are real and the difficult history between our nations cannot be ignored.  But it is possible to change.  The path of violence and rigid ideology, a foreign policy based on threats to attack your neighbors or eradicate Israel -- that's a dead end.  A different path, one of tolerance and peaceful resolution of conflict, leads to more integration into the global economy, more engagement with the international community, and the ability of the Iranian people to prosper and thrive." Against all evidence, the President believes that Iran's regime just might be interested in taking "a different path," one that is peaceful and cooperative and tolerant. On August 8th, the President explained his thinking even further. In an address at American University in Washington, D.C, he quoted President John F. Kennedy and argued that his support for the Iran nuclear deal was predicated on the premise that he could achieve "a practical and attainable peace" with the leaders of Iran, "a peace based not on a sudden revolution in human nature, but on a gradual evolution in human institutions, on a series of concrete actions and effective agreements." The central question is whether the President is accurately reading the intentions of Iran's top leaders. Are they interested in taking "a different path, one of tolerance and peaceful resolution of conflict"? Is there any hard evidence that the attitudes and actions will become more peaceful as a result of this nuclear deal, and that we will see a"gradual evolution" in the behavior of the Iranian regime? The central task we have, then, is to examine carefully the speeches and actions of our enemies and seek to determine what they really believe, why, how those beliefs drive their actions, and whether we have any leverage to change their beliefs and thus change their actions. I argued at this Summit that the evidence strongly indicates that we are dealing with "true believers" in Iran and ISIS, men who believe deeply -- passionately -- in a cause few Westerners even comprehend, much less accept. Indeed, for the first time in human history, the top leaders of not just one nation state but two -- Iran and the Islamic State -- are being driven by Islamic eschatology, or End Times theology. Their particular brands of Shia and Sunni eschatology are driving them towards genocide. Why? Because they believe: that the End of Days have arrived that the Islamic messiah known as the "Mahdi" will appear at any moment that when the Mahdi appears, he will rule the entire Earth that Jesus will also return to Earth, but not as the Messiah, or Savior, or Son of God, but as the deputy to the Mahdi that Jesus will force all Jews, Christians and other so-called "infidels" to convert to Islam or be executed that the way to hasten the arrival and full establishment of the global Islamic kingdom or "caliphate" is to annihilate Jews and Christians, and specifically to annihilate Israel (which they call the "Little Satan" in their eschatology), and the United States (which they call the "Great Satan.") that time is very short, and they must move decisively because soon each Muslim will face the Mahdi face to face and be brought into judgment if they have not faithfully followed the Mahdi's orders. They discuss such matters often -- not in the shadows, but in public. Yet, Western leaders are not paying attention, much less carefully analyzing the implications of such beliefs. If my analysis is correct, there is no earthly chance the leaders of Iran -- or ISIS -- will change course. Rather, they are Hell-bent on committing genocide of historic proportions and totally destroying Judeo-Christian civilization as we have known it. Thus, our leaders must study the facts carefully and determine whether Iranian and ISIS leaders really believe such things, and formulate strategies to protect our people and neutralize such enemies accordingly. During my remarks, I promised to post several fact sheets so those attending the Summit and those watching the live streaming webcast around the world could study the issue more closely. COLUMN: Islamic Extremists Are Trying to Hasten the Coming of the Mahdi Also, here is a link to an excellent new book by Brookings Institution scholar, William McCants, titled, The ISIS Apocalypse: The History, Strategy & Doomsday Vision of the Islamic State. It is a work I highly recommend to government leaders, public policy experts and lay people, as well. Last key point for now: I noted at the Summit that devout, Bible-believing Jews and Christians also have End Times theologies. But neither hold that Jews or Christians are supposed to commit genocide. Rather, we believe from the prophets Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah and others that the Messiah will come at the End of Days, conquer His enemies, and establish a global kingdom whose capital is Jerusalem. The Messiah will judge and conquer His enemies. That is not our job. Most Jews and Christians differ, of course, on the identity of the Messiah and whether His arrival on Earth to establish His global Kingdom will be His first visit, or His second. Still, neither Jewish nor Christian eschatology requires us to commit genocide. But the Iranian and ISIS versions of Islamic eschatology are genocidal in their very nature. Covering Terrorism Against Israelis: An Idiot’s Guide

This instructive video shows what news reports would look like if they applied their outrageous Israel-reporting techniques to terrorist attacks in the rest of the world. In the hope of lessening the egregious anti-Israel bias, here are some pointers to members of the media:

1. Your job is to report facts, not reinforce a narrative. Really. The facts matter – they form the basis for judgments. So here are some facts for you, meticulously documented and updated (with details and graphs worthy of a data scientist) in a shared Google spreadsheet by Nehemia Gershuni-Aylho. According to his data, in the fifty days from September 11 through October 31, there have been 1,315 Arab Muslim attacks on Jews, including stabbings, bombings, rock-throwing, etc. That’s about 26 attacks per day resulting in the murder of 11 innocent Jews. Adjusted for the U.S. population, that’s over 1,000 knife, bomb, and other attacks per day that kill 440 people during fifty days of terror. How would the U.S. react to that?
2. Remember that the weaker party can be wrong. Actually, when a Palestinian man stabs a 70-year old woman, he’s not even the weaker party. Sometimes Palestinians do indefensible things. Sometimes Israel is guilty of only trying to protect its citizens from insanely hateful violence. And as an honest reporter, you should try to show this.
3. Properly identify the terrorist and the victim when reporting on casualties, and describe the main causal sequence of events with relevant context. That’s how you avoid headlines like “Jewish man uses his neck to attack the blade of Palestinian’s knife.” The BBC’s distortions were actually not far from that when they effectively turned terrorists into victims. The BBC’s bias is so egregious that even their former chief complained.
4. Do your homework on this region. Learn its basic history so that you don’t moronically suggest (as the NY Times did) that Jews have no historical connection to the Temple Mount. Otherwise it looks like you’re trying to support Palestinian revisionism against basic facts and endless archaeological evidence (including what a 10-year old recently discovered). 
5. Learn the history of this conflict enough to know that Pallywood has been actively deceiving journalists for at least 15 years now, in an effort to delegitimize Israel. Before publishing “information” fed to you by fixers and “eyewitnesses,” realize that even Amnesty International has admitted the unreliability of “eyewitnesses” in this conflict. The most galling Pallywood example from this latest round of Arab terrorism is the inflammatory lie – by “moderate” Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas – that Israeli forces had “executed” a 13-year old. The truth: he was treated in the same Israeli hospital caring for the boy he tried to murder.
   Such lies can kill. Because when it comes to this conflict, Arab leaders know that violence replaces reason at the slightest provocation – like hooligans at a football game incited to attack the opponents of their beloved team. So inciting lies are very much a weapon. The media should know this and expose the falsehoods, rather than blindly proliferate them. Journalists should know that “reporting” inflammatory claims can produce mob violence, and should therefore be doubly careful about checking facts, unless of course their goal is to trigger riots (which do produce more sensational news stories).
6. Learn the history of this conflict enough to know that Arab Muslims have been killing Jews in this area for over a century, with shifting excuses over time.
7. Stop trying to use the latest of those shifting excuses to justify the unjustifiable (here too, the BBC is an offender). No alleged grievance warrants randomly stabbing people in the street. The average Syrian is infinitely worse off than anyone in Gaza or the West Bank, but Syrian teens aren’t randomly stabbing civilians. Countless refugees from Syria, Iraq, and elsewhere have risked their lives for the hope of a better future in Europe. And yet there are virtually no Palestinians from the West Bank or Gaza among the millions desperate to reach Europe. So random stabbings don’t reflect some miserably unfair existence – they are the product of raw hatred and incitement.
8. Take note of nuances. 92 Israeli Arab Muslims have committed terrorist attacks. They are not under occupation (and have better freedoms and living standards than most of the Arab world has). So clearly these attacks are not about any political dispute; they are driven by the same hateful incitement that rejects any state for the Jews.
9. Show cause and effect (ideally one before the other), and not just effect. When you show only Israeli responses to attacks, it makes Israelis look as if they wake up every morning asking how they can hurt Arabs. Israelis actually have better things to do with their mornings. Like cure cancer and stuff. But when people are trying to kill them, they understandably get a bit distracted. If the world could keep Israelis safer, cancer might get cured faster.
10. Articles should contain a logical subject and verb, preferably in a way that indicates who did what. According to CNN, Joseph’s Tomb spontaneously “catches fire.” CNN would rather change the laws of physics than blame Muslims for trying to burn a Jewish holy site. But there is a long list of non-Muslim sites that have been desecrated or destroyed by Muslims – from the Buddhas of Bamiyan razed by the Taliban to the countless monuments and churches destroyed by the Islamic State. History is also littered with Islamic conquests that converted non-Muslim holy sites into mosques.
11. Israeli lives matter. Getting both sides of the story means including photos and profiles of Israeli victims of Arab terrorism at least as often as you include photos and profiles of Arab attackers who were killed while trying to murder innocent Israelis. In case you’re not sure what it’s actually like to survive a stabbing attack, Kay Wilson’s TED Talk is a must-watch for some valuable context (and a reminder of what a life-affirming culture looks like, as opposed to the death cult trying to stamp it out).
12. Don’t be afraid to present Gazans as they present themselves (brandishing butcher knives and calling for Jewish blood). Show this Palestinian mother who celebrates that her child was killed trying to murder Israelis and who hopes that she and her other children all die for the same “cause.” Showing the Palestinian death cult of Jew-hatred that runs from crib to coffin might help observers understand why there’s still no peace.
    Just for some context, when was the last time that you saw a video of a Jewish mother hoping that she and her children can all die for the sake of murdering some Germans to avenge the German Nazi murder of six million Jews (which seems a bit worse than praying on a contested holy site)?
13. If you want to falsify information to sanitize Palestinian terror, as NBC correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin did, try not to do so on live TV, because you’ll look really biased (and stupid).
14. It’s better to research whether the maps you display on your “news” broadcast were produced by anti-Israel propagandists BEFORE you broadcast them, because otherwise you’ll look as biased (and stupid) as NBC/MSNBC did.
15. To ensure that your reporting is fair and consistent, consider how a similar event was covered in other countries/contexts. For a strikingly convenient example, contrast how differently NBC News (again!) reports on airstrikes taking place in two neighboring Mideast conflicts, within just eight days of each other:
    On October 3, NBC News used this headline to report that 60 Russian airstrikes in Syria killed 39 civilians: “Russia Launches New Wave of Airstrikes in Syria.” On October 11, NBC News used a much more personalized headline – with victim profiles – when reporting on one Israeli air strike that killed two civilians: “Israeli Strike in Gaza Kills Palestinian Woman, Child as Violence Continues.” So are two Gazan civilians more worthy of attention and sympathy than 39 Syrian civilians?

Ironically, despite your endless bias in favor of Palestinian terrorists, they thank you by posing as journalists in order to stab Israelis – a deceit that only undermines the trust that combatants have in the label “PRESS” and potentially endangers true war correspondents.

Each small instance of bias may seem like a mere “journalistic microagression” against Israel, but its cumulative effect is toxic and sometimes deadly. At best, the persistent anti-Israel bias poisons many millions – from voters to policy-makers – against Israel.  Even worse, it can lead to anti-Semitic violence, by mobs and/or individuals thugs, as is so often the case in Europe.

You journalists are key to a fair and civilized world. Start acting like it.

Former Reagan Administration Official Warns That Financial Disaster Is Dead Ahead

Why won’t the American people listen to the warnings?  David Stockman was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1977 to 1981, and he served as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1985.  These days, he is running a website called “Contra Corner” which I highly recommend that you check out.  Stockman believes that a global “debt super-cycle” that has been building for decades is now bursting, and he is convinced that the consequences for the U.S. and for the rest of the planet will be absolutely catastrophic.

His findings are very consistent with what I have been writing about on The Economic Collapse Blog, and if Stockman is correct the times ahead of us are going to be exceedingly painful.

But right now, most people don’t seem to be in the mood to listen to these types of warnings.  Even though there is a mountain of evidence that the global economy has already plunged into recession, U.S. stocks had a great month in October, and so most Americans seem to think that the crisis has passed.

Of course the truth is that the stock market is not an accurate barometer of the economy and it never has been.  Back in 2008, almost everything else started to go downhill before stocks did, and the same thing is happening once again.  In a recent article, Stockman explained that stocks are surging to absolutely ridiculous levels even though corporate earnings are actually way down…

At this point, 75% of S&P 500 companies have reported Q3 results, and earnings are coming in at $93.80 per share on an LTM basis. That happens to be7.4% below the peak $106 per share reported last September, and means that the market today is valuing these shrinking profits at a spritely 22.49X PE ratio.

 And, yes, there is a reason for two-digit precision. It seems that in the 4th quarter of 2007 LTM earnings came in at 22.19X the S&P 500 index price. We know what happened next!

Why do so many refuse to see the parallels?

This crisis is unfolding so similarly to 2008, and yet most of the “experts” are willingly blind.
Much of the stock buying that has been happening in 2015 has been fueled by stock buybacks and by M&A (merger and acquisitions).  Many firms have even been going into debt to buy back their own stocks, but now sources of financing are starting to dry up.  This year we have already seen the most corporate debt downgrades since 2009, and big financial institutions are now becoming much more hesitant to loan giant stacks of cash to these large corporations at super low interest rates.

So it is very, very difficult to see how the equity markets are going to move much higher than they are right now.

Meanwhile, the global economy is starting to unravel right in front of our eyes.  In his recent piece, Stockman discussed some of these data points…

In the last two days we posted the latest data on two crucial markers of global economic direction——-export shipments from Korea and export orders coming into the high performance machinery factories of Germany.

In a word, they were abysmal, and smoking gun evidence that the suzerains of Beijing have not stopped the implosion in China, and that their latest paddy wagon forays—–arresting the head of China’s third largest bank and hand-cuffing several hedge fund managers including the purported “Warren Buffett” of China—-are signs not of stabilization, but sheer desperation.

So it is not surprising that Korea’s October exports—–the first such data from anywhere in the world—were down by a whopping 16% from last year, and have now been down for 10 straight months. Needless to say, China is the number one destination for Korean exports.

 Likewise, German export orders plummeted by 18% in September, and this was no one month blip.

If the global economy really was doing “just fine” as Barack Obama and others suggest, then why is the largest shipping line in the world eliminating jobs and scaling back capacity?…

A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S is scaling back capacity and cutting jobs in the world’s largest shipping line to adapt to a drop in demand.

The Danish company, which last month lowered its profit forecast for 2015 citing a gloomier outlook for the global shipping market, will shed 4,000 jobs in its Maersk Line unit as part of a program to “simplify the organization,” it said in an e-mailed statement on Wednesday.

And why are some of the biggest banks in the western world laying off tens of thousands of workers?…

Standard Chartered Plc became the third European bank in less than two weeks to announce sweeping job cuts, bringing the total planned reductions to more than 30,000, or almost one in seven positions.

 The London-based firm said Tuesday it will eliminate 15,000 jobs, or 17 percent of its workforce, as soaring bad loans in emerging markets hurt earnings. Deutsche Bank AG, based in Frankfurt, last week announced plans for 11,000 job cuts, while Credit Suisse Group AG said it would trim as many as 5,600 employees.

And if things are so great in the United States, why is Target suddenly closing stores?

The truth, of course, is that things are not great.  Global GDP expressed in U.S. dollars is down 3.4 percent so far this year, and total global trade has plummeted 8.4 percent.

We have entered a major global economic slowdown, and like usual, equity markets will be the last to get the memo.

But when they finally do react, that is likely going to greatly accelerate our problems.  Just like we saw in 2008, when there is fear and panic in the financial markets that tends to cause the flow of credit to freeze up.  And that is something that we simply cannot afford, because the flow of credit has become the lifeblood of the global economy.
So no, “the crisis” is not “over”.

Rather, the truth is that “the crisis” is just beginning, and it will soon be making front page headlines all over the planet.
