Today's Israel Inspiration

There is an inherent lesson as to what constitutes true beauty in the eyes of God and we learn this from the very special Etrog (citron fruit) which is waved together with the Lulav each year on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. In Leviticus 23:40, God instructs the people to take a "beautiful tree", in Hebrew "Hadar". Explains the Talmud, the word "dar" is close to the English word "endure" and therefore must apply to a fruit which perseveres against the odds. Though many fruits are seasonal, only the Etrog endures throughout the year, growing and blossoming throughout all seasons, hot and cold. Its persistence and determination to thrive is what makes the fruit truly beautiful. Similarly, the olive oil used in the Menorah of the Temple, once beaten, pressed and purified, gives off what the Bible describes as an eternal light (Leviticus 24:2), and has, as well, become a symbol of endurance throughout the generations. Just like the Etrog and olive oil represent fortitude, so too the people of Israel will continue to rise above the cruelty of her enemies and will forever magnificently shine brighter than ever.

How Divine Feasting Can Bring Paradise

Eating is not only for pleasure, but also serves the spiritual purpose to nourish both our bodies and souls, the way God intended.

Why The Israel Bible?

The Israel Bible highlights God's love for the Land of Israel, with its Hebrew-English layout, selected transliterated verses and unique Israel centered commentary on each and every chapter! The Israel Bible makes it so obvious that the Land of Israel is God's chosen land, the land He gave to the children of Israel. Now more than ever, when the world wants to deny this very connection (just look at the recent UNESCO resolution for an example!) The Israel Bible is a necessity!!

The rich yellow color of the etrog (citron fruit) truly stands out among the greenery of the Lulav, in the same way the Land of Israel captures God's attention above all the countries of the world. How much more so when the fruit itself grows in the very soil of God's forever light!

Yesterday's Photo Trivia

Every year on Sukkot, thousands of people from all over the world gather at the Western Wall for the priestly blessing, known as the Cohen Benediction. The event, which took place this very morning in Jerusalem, is truly spectacular and is a tremendous way to fulfill the commandment to be joyous on this holday!

Lance Wallnau: "5777: The Year Of The Clashing Of Swords!" - The Elijah List

We Have An Assignment - To Save This Nation!
God is doing something in this season...
Passion is a strange phenomenon. Less than 48 hours (at the time of this writing) I sat in my hotel room in Jerusalem. I took a break from training that I was doing with First Ladies, Diplomats, and members of the House Lords—all amidst terrorist attacks happening around me that left 5 wounded and 2 dead.
As I flipped on the internet and took in the current news about America I could not help but get all fired up! The devil is bent on dismantling the Christian vote in 2016 and Pastors and conservative leaders are themselves defecting from the battle. It's madness!
Did you know evangelicals make up 27% of registered voters? Add devout Catholics and it is 37%! Together we are the largest, most vibrant, and most dynamic single constituency in the electorate today; a larger force than the Latino, the African-American, and all Unions combined. (Photo via canstockphoto.com)
BUT nearly 14 million of us are thinking of sitting this election out!
I grabbed my cell phone and recorded a live video rant to address this. In less than 48 hours that video is nearing 3 million views (now it's over 3.5 million views)! Someone just notified me the video was sent to Hannity for a Fox interview.
My friend, God is doing something in this season. You and I have an assignment to save this Nation!
Before flying out of Jerusalem, I filled in for Chuck Pierce who could not attend the Jerusalem gathering. He was supposed to speak for Yom Kippur, and reveal the meaning of the New Hebrew Year 5777. This forced me to do some thinking. The Rabbis teach that Yom Kippur is the day that "God looks at us" and makes judgments and decisions for the coming year at Yom Kippur.
The Clashing of Heaven and Hell
As I prayed for you, my children, our nation, this election, and the course of America, something struck me about the significance of this new year, 5777. There are three "7's" in this Jewish new year. Interestingly, the number "7" in Hebrew is the letter "zayin" which represents both the number "7" and the word "sword."
What we are looking at in 5777 is: "The year of supernatural grace (5) to engage the clashing of swords (7)."
The clashing of Heaven and Hell will show up in the conflict of ideologies. This collision of kingdoms has already started. (Photo via Lance Wallnau)
Someone gave me a prophetic word today that proclaimed, "There are spirits being dispatched to put blindfolds on the minds of Christians." We are so easily manipulated through media mind control: sound bites, talking heads, and an onslaught of progressive liberal ideologies baked into our entertainment.
"Zayin" means more than just "sword" or "weapon." It also connects with a modern Hebrew word "mazon," meaning "food" or "sustenance," and "nourishment," both coming from the same root as Zayin.
ElijahList Prophetic Resources
5777 is the year of the clashing of swords! We are taking on giants just like the children of Israel did. I choose to believe what Caleb said in Numbers 14:9"Do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them."
Caleb saw the giants in the land not as obstacles but as bread. I believe that as you take on your giants and defeat them they will become nourishment for you! What you bow to will increase your bondage but what you overcome will increase your power!
Feed Your Spirit
The enemy will be bread for you IF YOU FEED YOUR SPIRIT on the Word of God. Jesus says in Matthew 4:4"But He (Jesus) answered and said, it is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"
The Word of God, is the bread you eat that becomes a sword in your mouth! In this new year, 5777, God will open up His Word to you and reveal a "sword" in the Scripture! When you see it—grab it.
Speak what God gives you. Prophesy and proclaim what you see. Expect your utterance to authorize angelic activity through your prayers! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)

Astounding New Research Confirms Isaiah 40:22

CAITLIN BURKE  CHARISMA NEWS
Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

The universe is much bigger than scientists originally thought. It's a new discovery by man that has always been a part of what the Bible says.
According to a new analysis of Hubble Space Telescope data, there are 10 times more galaxies in the universe than previously reported—about 2 trillion of them, rather than 200 billion.
"We are missing the vast majority of galaxies because they are very faint and far away," Christopher Conselice, an astrophysics professor at the University of Nottingham in England and the lead author of the study, said in a statement.
"The number of galaxies in the universe is a fundamental question in astronomy, and it boggles the mind that over 90 percent of the galaxies in the cosmos have yet to be studied. Who knows what interesting properties we will find when we study these galaxies with the next generation of telescopes?"
The Bible actually backs up this new research. Apologetics ministry Answers in Genesis recently published an article adapted from Dr. Jason Lisle's book, Taking Back Astronomy.
Lisle points out that in several places the Bible indicates that the universe has been "stretched out" or expanded.
For example, Isaiah 40:22 teaches that God "stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in." This would suggest that the universe has actually increased in size since its creation. God has stretched it out. He has expanded it—and is perhaps still expanding it.
The Answers in Genesis article points out that, in fact, secular scientists once believed that the universe was eternal and unchanging. The idea of an expanding universe would have been considered nonsense to most scientists of the past.
Conselice's research comes to a similar conclusion.
"These results are powerful evidence that a significant galaxy evolution has taken place throughout the universe's history, which dramatically reduced the number of galaxies through mergers between them—thus reducing their total number. This gives us a verification of the so-called top-down formation of structure in the universe," Conselice explained.

What the Feast of Tabernacles Means for the Millennial Kingdom - SAM NADLER CHARISMA NEWS

What the Feast of Tabernacles Means for the Millennial Kingdom

SAM NADLER  CHARISMA NEWS
As the seventh feast of the seventh month of the biblical calendar, the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) points toward the culmination of God's redemptive program. Each year, as we read in Leviticus 23:39-43, we celebrate this harvest festival to rejoice in His sufficiency. We wave the lulav branches (Lev. 23:40) to the four corners of the earth, acknowledging God's provision for us and His sovereignty as the King of Kings who reigns over all.
Another important aspect of this yearly festival celebration takes place as we build our three-sided tabernacles (booths, or Sukkot) from these same branches in recognition of His secure protection over us. These flimsy sukkahs testify that, like the Israelites in the wilderness, we know our safety and stability comes from His ongoing care for us. Like David in Psalm 140:7, we declare that God is the One who is our sukkah (covering) in the day of battle.
Rejoice—The Best Is Yet to Come!
As meaningful and joyous as this annual celebration is for us, the best is yet to come, for the Feast of Tabernacles points to more than merely our present provision and protection. Zechariah foretells that during Yeshua's reign in the Millennial Kingdom, the Feast of Tabernacles will be an annual celebration in which all nations will gather to testify that the LORD Himself is the source of all the bountiful blessings we enjoy.
A New Orientation
"Then it will be that all the nations who have come against Jerusalem and survived will go up each year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles" (Zech. 14:16, MEV).
God's Word reveals that the nations will one day gather to fight against Jerusalem (Zech. 12:1-14; Joel 3:1-2; Ezek. 38:4). It also tells us without a shadow of a doubt who will win this battle, for the LORD Himself will fight for His people (Zech. 14:3)!
Following the battle, the survivors from these attacking nations will once again go up to Jerusalem—not to make war, but to worship the LORD of Hosts, demonstrating their submission to the King of kings. As prophesied in Isaiah 2:2-3, "In the last daysthe mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall go and say, 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths.' For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem" (MEV).
All the nations will have a new orientation around God's Will and His Word as they worship Him annually in Jerusalem at the Feast of Tabernacles. Their annual schedule will then be aligned with the LORD's biblical calendar, as His priorities will be seen in their new confession to worship (Zech. 14:16). Those nations who survive will be, by the same grace that spared them, no longer God's foes but followers of the King.
Prefigured in the annual harvest festival, the Feast of Tabernacles anticipates the greater harvest of God, when all nations will be yielded to the Messiah, the King of Israel established on His glorious throne in His kingdom's capital, Jerusalem (Matt. 25:31).
The celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles is the future setting for the true worship of the King of kings. Yes, today we rejoice in Yeshua's complete provision and protection as He presently reigns over our yielded lives. But also, as it points to a certain future, we find this feast to be a significant testimony that annually honors Yeshua and anticipates His royal return.
As we recognize the centrality of Yeshua in the biblical calendar, we orient our lives around His authority, finding our full sufficiency and security in Him and becoming witnesses to His future Jerusalem-centered reign over all the nations.
What if I Don't Celebrate the Feast?
The very purpose of the Feast of Tabernacles is to demonstrate that God reigns over all His creation. However, in Zechariah 14:17-19, we see that during Messiah's future reign, there will continue to be resistance to His rule, for nations will refuse to go up to the Feast to worship the LORD of Hosts. Here, Zechariah clearly states that there will be a punishment for those who make such a choice.
Punishment? Yes, for Zechariah is speaking of the kingdom period, not of heaven. In the Millennial Kingdom there will be both believers and unbelievers living together on Earth. The punishment Zechariah speaks of will be a corrective way to bring the nations back to true worship of the one true God as His eternal love is demonstrated.
During the Feast of Tabernacles each year, we in the body of Messiah need to examine our attitudes. Do we worship Yeshua as the true King in every aspect of our lives? How do we uphold Yeshua's authority in our relationships, activities and finances?
For those with a heart yielded to Messiah, this celebration is filled with joy in sincere worship of King Messiah, the Lord of Hosts. Let us all honor Him through this Feast of Tabernacles as we rejoice in His eternal love! Come quickly, Lord Yeshua!

This Train is Bound for Glory! - Charles Gardner ISRAEL TODAY

This Train is Bound for Glory!

Wednesday, October 19, 2016 |  Charles Gardner  ISRAEL TODAY

Want more news from Israel?
I was thinking about the Feast of Tabernacles when I booked my train ticket to London and was rather tickled by the Virgin Trains slogan ‘Be bound for glory’, obviously based on the traditional gospel hit This Train. If it means Virgin boss Richard Branson is spreading the good news, who’s complaining?
I was making a pilgrimage to see my mum, but I was also mindful of Sukkot, one of three festivals for which the ancient Israelites were required to visit Jerusalem (Leviticus 23) and which, in the millennial reign of Messiah, every nation will be required to make (Zechariah 14.16). I was particularly thinking about pilgrimage at the time because of reports of a downturn in Israel tour bookings from the UK due to the pound’s drop in value against the dollar.
Many Christians I have known over the years have taken the view: “God can meet me here, where I am. Why should I go over there where God is apparently pouring out his Spirit in a special way?” Yet there is a great emphasis in the Bible on places that are made special by God’s extraordinary presence. Jerusalem is obviously the best earthly example. Even atheist TV documentary maker Simon Reeve, on arriving in the city, said it took his breath away. It did that for this journalist too and I can well understand the exiled psalmist’s feelings as he considered Jerusalem his “highest joy” (Psalm 137.6).
By the way, UNESCO’s denial of Jewish ties to what another psalm referred to as “the joy of the whole earth” (Psalm 48.2) would be laughable were it not so tragic. But my ‘train of thought’ is getting off track.
Even the Wise Men of the nativity travelled some 1,000 miles to worship the Christ-child. The pioneers of the modern-day Pentecostal movement travelled halfway round the world back in 1906 to catch something of what God was doing at Azusa Street, Los Angeles. And I regularly took a 210-mile round trip for evening services in Sunderland when fresh stirrings of the Holy Spirit broke out there in 1994.
There is no doubt that tours of the Holy Land bring the Bible to life and, though of course I understand that economic, security and other considerations will adversely affect bookings, there is clearly a need for a sharper focus on the important nature of such pilgrimage, which should be seen as a further expression of our Christian journey, of reaching deeper into God’s wells of salvation and unearthing the treasures of His precious land.
In celebrating God’s bountiful harvest and, in building temporary shelters, we are reminded how He provided for his people in the desert and of how we are only temporary sojourners here on earth, and that our real destiny is “the city that is to come” (Hebrews 13.14). And we remember how Yeshua came to ‘tabernacle’ with us (John 1.14).
As with all discipleship, there is sacrifice – in terms of cost and effort – in pilgrimage. And we should surely take heed of Solomon’s wisdom, that “whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.” (Ecclesiastes 11.4) In other words, don’t wait until all the conditions are in perfect alignment. If pilgrimage is a passport to meet with God in a deeper way, it will surely be well worth it. Be bound for glory!
