Today's Israel Inspiration

While the Prophet Isaiah uttered many pronouncements of rebuke, he is remembered for his prophecies of consolation and hope. Despite the bleak circumstances of the situation in which Isaiah found himself, Isaiah  always described a brighter future which featured redemption and the Jewish people living peacefully in the Land of Israel.  Many charitable organizations in the Land of Israel function in the efforts to help the children of Israel and bring Isaiah's prophetic vision to fruition. By serving the hungry and helpless of Israel, Meir Panim hopes to rebuild the city of Jerusalem through kindness and righteousness.

Greetings Rabbi Weisz,bI am writing from Albany, on the south coast of Western Australia. My name is Ruth and although I am a practicing Christian, I have a fascination for the scriptures in the Old Testament, and a great interest in those I regard as God's chosen people. May your people and especially the Faithful in Jerusalem be richly blessed by our amazing God and Father, for the glory of His name.
Shalom,

Jerusalem & Friends - The Holy City. Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Jerusalem & Friends
-          The Holy City

Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“I have chosen Jerusalem that My name might be there…” (2 Chronicles 6:6, NASU)

On December 6, 2017, President Donald Trump of the United States declared that America would officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. That was a very good decision, being the Creator of the Universe, Jesus Christ Himself, feels the same way. He chose Jerusalem as the place where His name would be.

It is a good thing to be on the side of God Almighty. We are glad you are, Mr. President.

Jerusalem is the place where both Jews and Christians have had numerous holy sites, for centuries, situated on the mountains and hills surrounding God's city. Nations have fought over it; millions have died because of it; the Savior of mankind brought His message of love and hope to its very ancient streets.

The very first time I came into the holy city, in the late 1980’s, wasn’t on foot, horseback, a donkey or camel, as the Jews have done beginning centuries ago. It was in an air-conditioned tour bus, with 40 people, at night time, climbing up the highway from the east, beyond the Jordan River and the Dead Sea. The city was aglow with the glimmering lights shining forth into the October sky. It was an amazing site.

The tour guide then began playing on the bus sound system the song Holy City, Jerusalem (here is a version by John Starnes on YouTube: Holy City, Jerusalem.) I could feel my spirit welling up inside me. Listening to the words, I could sense the very real presence of the Lord overtake myself and those who had come to this Land, this Holy City, the place where Jesus (Yeshua) walked. The very place where He will soon return to again.

During that first tour we visited the Old City, including the Western Wall, the Upper Room, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We also went to The Church of All Nations, Gethsemane and the Garden Tomb. Each step of the way we witnessed spiritual and historical locations that pilgrims from all over the world wait a lifetime to come and walk within and upon.

To imagine that this is the very place where the Messiah chose to bring His eternal word, in the flesh, to first the Jews, and then through them, had it taken from here to the very ends of the earth. The Good News of redemption, salvation, and freedom from sin came forth from His Holy City, Jerusalem.

While on staff with Derek Prince Ministries, I once heard that Bible teacher Derek had spoken these words. "You do not choose Jerusalem. Jerusalem chooses you." For some time, I did not understand that. Now I do. It takes a spiritual awakening to know and affirm the Lord's heart for Jerusalem, Israel, and the Jewish people. With the vast majority of the nations opposed to the plans and purposes of Jerusalem and the Chosen people, only a move of the Lord Himself, through His Holy Spirit touching your heart and spirit, will enable one to stand in support of them. It may even cost one their life if they are truly committed to His eternal plan.

Jerusalem is as no other place on earth. The spiritual dimension that radiates from this place itself declares that God the Father has in place His full will to continue to make this the center of the earth. And it will be at this very place where the new Jerusalem will come down from heaven and rest upon the holy mount, as destined from the beginning of time.

“And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper. It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.

There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” (Revelation 21:10-14, NASU)

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

Israel365 statement on Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel - Maayan Jaffe

Rabbi Tuly Weisz: Trump’s announcement is recognition of the eternal connection between the Land, the People, and the God of Israel

We are so appreciative to God that President Donald Trump took the courageous step of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. We know that Trump’s declaration was largely made possible by the encouragement and support of so many American Christian Zionists. They provided the political backing to make this historic move and for that, the Jewish people should be thankful. At Israel365, we see Trump’s announcement as recognition of the eternal connection between the Land, the People and the God of Israel.

The Bible states that Jerusalem is the apple of God’s eye (Zechariah 2:8). Now, finally, the Holy City will once again become a city of righteousness and justice, as the Hebrew prophets who lived in Jerusalem declared so long ago.

We will continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

'Biblical Timing of Absolute Precision:' John Hagee Praises Trump's Jerusalem Decision - CBN News Mark Martin

'Biblical Timing of Absolute Precision:' John Hagee Praises Trump's Jerusalem Decision
12-06-2017
CBN News Mark Martin

Christians United for Israel founder Pastor John Hagee spoke on CBN News' Faith Nation program about why he supports President Donald Trump's Jerusalem decision and why Christians need to know about Israel's global importance. Watch above.

Before President Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital and announced the U.S. Embassy in Israel would be moving there, pastor and New York Times best-selling author John Hagee joined CBN News' Faith Nation program today for analysis on the Jewish State.

He discussed why Israel is important to Christians, as well as what's behind the Trump administration's support of the Holy Land. Hagee is the founder and chairman of Christians United for Israel.
"What President Trump is doing is one of the most courageous political things that's been done in Washington in a long time," Hagee, who is also the senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, told CBN News.
"Many presidents have promised to move the embassy and declare Jerusalem as the eternal capital, but they have promised without performing," he continued.
"President Trump, when I spoke to him in the White House about this several weeks ago, he said this very emphatically. He said, 'Other presidents have failed you, but I will not disappoint the Christian community in this issue. I will stand with Israel, and we will at some point in time, move the embassy,'" said Hagee.
He also talked with the president about the significance of moving the embassy in this "Jubilee Year."
"...I told him that God measures everything in modules of 50 years," Hagee explained to CBN News. "And I said this is a principle that's carried out in Leviticus, the 25th chapter."
"I said, 'If you look at 1917, it was a Jubilee Year, and the Balfour Amendment came, and then in 50 years, it was 1967, and Jerusalem was reconnected to Israel,'" he continued.
"'And you add 50 to 1967, and you're in 2017.' I said, 'This is the year to move the embassy and make that declaration because it is a biblical timing of absolute precision,'" Hagee said. "Thank God, he's going to do exactly that."
Hagee also emphasized the significance of the Jewish state to God and why Christians need to acknowledge its global importance.
"...I believe at this point in time, Israel is God's stopwatch for everything that happens to every nation, including America, from now until the Rapture of the Church and beyond," he said.
"Christians should care about Israel because the entirety of the Bible beginning at Genesis all the way to the end is God's position paper on the Jewish people," Hagee explained.
"God found a man by the name of Abraham and He made a covenant with him," Hagee continued. "Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, recorded in the book of Genesis, that He was going to give them a strip of real estate in the Middle East, and that piece of real estate would be theirs forever."
"Forever means today, tomorrow and forever," he said. "It has nothing to do with what the Palestinians think, what the Russians think, what the UK has the opinion of; it belongs to the Jewish people."
"And Israel is the gateway to God's blessing in the Bible," Hagee continued. "Genesis 12: 'I will bless those who bless you.'"
"World history can be summed up in one sentence. The nations that blessed Israel were blessed of God, and the nations that cursed Israel were cursed of God," he said.
