Restoration of Relationships (Parts 1 & 2) - Love For His People Newsletter by Steve Martin

Nov. 14, 2018 Wednesday
Charlotte, North Carolina USA

Greetings family and friends.

You good out there? I sure hope so. I pray for many of you each day, with the prayer language the Holy Spirit has given to myself and many of you baptized in the Holy Spirit. Lord knows we need Him today and tomorrow!

I like to write about seasons - seasons in the natural and spiritual. Personally, I believe we are entering a real big season the Lord has coming, and I write about it in two recent Now Think On This messages. The first one being Restoration of Relationships (Part 1) You could use some encouragement today.

My 2nd message Restoration of Relationships (Part 2 of 2) continues in the encouragement mode, knowing that many of us have had relationships that we now long to be restored. Guess what? The Lord is doing that even as you read this! So do click on each link for the full message.

Now Think On This
As we watch the ongoing, unfolding prophetic fulfillment of the Jewish dry bones coming back together in Israel, at the same time are seeing the restoration of Christians in bonding fellowship and unity, as our formerly “dry bones of the scattered Church of Jesus Christ” are starting to come back together, as it was in the days of the early church.

My good wife Laurie and I can give a practical life testimony of this coming back together ourselves. Four years ago as of this writing in 2018, we left a good body of believers, Antioch International Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina, USA, under the leadership of Dr. Peter Wyns and Pastors Jesse and Elizabeth Enns. We were “dispersed” (of our own making), wandering around as if Jews ourselves, going from church to church. (As for “Jewishness” - maybe we are and don’t know it, as truly many are finding out of their Jewish ancestry and DNA in these days!)

After both Laurie and I, independently of each other, heard the Holy Spirit speak to us of the “return” to Antioch...

As I allowed the Holy Spirit to reveal even more of what He wanted to share now, I strongly felt in my spirit that He wants the fallen, those who quit the race, the down and out, former members of churches, to be brought back. I could hear Joshua Aaron singing “Bring Us Back” in my head. Our Lord, Father God, is crying out for the Jews in the world, scattered through the Diaspora in centuries gone by, to make aliyah, to come back to Israel. With the same heart as that, the Lord is wanting the Christians, those who were strong and flourishing members of our churches in days gone by, to come back. He needs them. We need them.

Personally, I can think of many whom I loved and walked within the past, in the several churches Laurie and I have been with.

"Everyone likes an adventure. Travel the world. See the sites. Live the dream. Steve Martin's "Now Think On This" messages provide you with inspiration to walk the journey that God intends for you to have. Enjoy the short chapters as you receive encouragement for your life-long adventures."

As I prayed about this book title, I felt the Lord impress upon me that He is a God of adventures, and delights in sharing them with us. He does not consider the Christian walk to be one of boredom.

It takes courage to step out in faith, to do that which is not obvious in the natural, but would be very obvious if we saw with spiritual eyes. Our faith must be expressed by doing without knowing the results, while trusting that He does, and will provide for us to complete our assignments.

Our God calls us to walk in the adventures He has. We must keep looking to and relying on Him to direct, provide, and encourage on the way.

It does take courage to walk in adventures. He gives us strength to complete the long journey we travel.

ISSUES online! Spiritual but not Religious - Matt Sieger A Messianic Jewish Perspective

Many people today say they are spiritual but not religious. But what does that mean? According to the Hebrew Scriptures, the source of true spirituality is the divine breath of God. Have you connected with Him?
Is it either/or?

Spiritual but not Religious?
by Ruth Rosen

Issues relevant to the “spiritual but not religious” movement are so ancient that the Jewish Bible addresses many of them—and so does Jesus in the “Newer” Testament.

Messianic Prophecies (Fulfilled)
by Rich Robinson

The New Testament throughout shows that Jesus is indeed the “Mighty God” who has come among us as a human being. Jesus does things only God can do, such as forgive sins and command nature to obey him.

Jewish Father. Catholic Mother. Protestant Wife. My Cure for Spiritual Confusion
by Philippe Lewkowicz

I had a semblance of Jewish education and a strong sense of Jewish identity. But since my home was a home without God – and since the Christians and the Jews I knew did not seem to truly believe – I assumed that God must be present elsewhere.

Q&A: What Kind of Jew was Jesus?
by Jews for Jesus

The kind of Judaism Jesus represented is debated, but Judaism it was. For there was as yet nothing called “Christianity.”
