Franklin Graham Shares Gospel with Rosie O'Donnell: 'Let Him Heal Your Heart'

CBN News Talia Wise 12-27-2017

Evangelist Franklin Graham has told actress Rosie O'Donnell to "put her faith and trust in Jesus" after she tweeted a message telling House Speaker Paul Ryan to go "straight to hell."
"Rosie, you don't have the keys to hell, but I know the One who does," Graham wrote on Facebook.
"I hope one day you will put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and let him heal your heart, clean up your mouth, and forgive your sins," the evangelist added.
His message comes after the ex-View co-host attacked Speaker Ryan over a Christmas video message he posted on Twitter Saturday.

Apparently, O'Donnell was upset over passage of the GOP tax reform law and Ryan's Christmas message touched off a rant.

Graham responded to O'Donnell tweet by sharing the Gospel.
"Hell is going to be filled with people who rejected God's offer of salvation and turned their backs on His laws and standards, refusing to repent," he wrote. "Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, and He took your sins and mine to the Cross, dying in our place, so that we might live--if we would turn from our sins and put our faith in Him."
Previously, O'Donnell attacked conservative commentator Ben Shapiro with an obscene tweet over the GOP tax plan.
Shapiro reported the incident to Twitter who initially declined to delete the tweet.

The company later reversed its decision.

The promised Messiah has come! - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Dr. Erez Soref, President of ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom!

The word of Adonai came to Abram in a vision saying,

"Do not fear, Abram.
    I am your shield,
        your very great reward."

God had promised Abram (later to be called Abraham) a son, a land, and a blessing that would go to all nations. All wonderful gifts! It's hard to imagine how much each of those things would have meant to a wandering, childless, aging couple. Yet God states that more than all of these things, He Himself is the real prize. He is our very great reward. It's good to stop and drink in the fact God has given us the most incredible gift of all: Himself.

In our chapel service for the students on Thursday, Thomas Damianos, an Arab member of our staff, summarized the message of the nativity for us in four words:

"God promised, God fulfilled!"

The Gospel of Matthew is directed to a Jewish audience and is also the only gospel that mentions the wise men from the east. Thomas shared his understanding that despite the fact they were Gentiles, lived thousands of miles away, and had no Bible, it was they who recognized the real King, while the religious leaders in Jerusalem (just a few miles away) reported to Herod as king. The Gospel of Matthew starts off calling him "King Herod" at first, but after the encounter with the wise men, Herod is never called king again. The true King had arrived, and He had come for both Jews and Gentiles.

Yesterday, a third of the world celebrated His arrival. The stars moved for Him and time was split in two.

After centuries of Gentiles recognizing the true "King of the Jews", we are now seeing more and more Jewish brothers and sisters joining in the joyful recognition that their promised Messiah has come.

Watch Dr. Dauermann's wonderful story below to hear how he discovered Yeshua was the Messiah!

Isaiah 9 And The Day Of Midian

As the Christian world celebrates Christmas, the wonderful prophecy of Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a son is born", will come into focus once again. But perhaps less familiar to many is the treasure just two verses before it, in 9:4: "For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian." It's easy for Christians to gloss over texts which have war and battle in them, but no word of Scripture will ever become irrelevant. What is the "Day of Midian?" Continue reading...

Why Is It Called An Ark?

When we talk about "The Ark" in the Bible, we could either be talking about the Ark of the Covenant, or Noah's Ark. The funny thing is that even though we use the same word in English, the words in Hebrew are different. And yet, the description of detailed instructions God gave Noah about how to build the ark feels decidedly similar to the intricate description God gave Moses about how to construct the Ark of the Covenant. Like so many important themes in Scripture, the echoes we hear from story to story should alert us to a deliberate parallel. Continue reading...

V’ahavta וְאָהַבְתָּ ‘And you shall love’ -The Miracle of Hebrew. Hadassah from Jerusalem

V’ahavta
וְאָהַבְתָּ    ‘And you shall love’

The Miracle of Hebrew
Hadassah from Jerusalem

Last week, my Grandson Moshe and I went on an exploring walk down Rehov Nevi’im (Prophet Street) We went to see the Ethiopian Church- a beautiful and historic structure. What we found across the alley was something that really made our day. We discovered the first home of the amazing pioneer, Zionist and ‘prophet ’~Eliezer Ben Yehuda.

Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, is known as the ‘Father of Modern Hebrew’. Quoting from his biography, “I read somewhere that we Jews speak seventy different languages, yet not one of us speaks our own language.”

Hebrew is the language of the Torah and only in the last 100 years the language of the Jewish people in Israel. The 'resurrection' of the Hebrew language as a daily language was brought about almost solely by this one man.

One of the first with a Zionist vision (even before Theodor Herzl), Eliezer Ben-Yehuda spent his life resurrecting the Hebrew language for the Jewish people to speak on a daily basis. He knew that the nation of Israel could never become a ‘country on its own’ if it did not have a common language.

When he arrived in what was then Palestine in 1881, Hebrew had not been the spoken language of the Jewish people since Bible times. Eliezer went against supreme opposition and persecution to bring to life the Hebrew language. Many believed that Hebrew should only be used in connection with the Torah. To use the ‘Holy Tongue’ for common dialogue was unheard of. Once he grasped the vision of a national tongue, Hebrew became the only language spoken in Eliezer’s home. He forbid for his son Ben-Zion to hear any other language. The task was daunting, but he gave his life to the task of making Hebrew available to everyone and within 40 years, succeeded.

In 1922, Hebrew became the official language of the Jewish people in Palestine.

Hebrew defines the culture, the religious life, and the rich inheritance we have as Jews with a history that dates to Creation. With the promise of returning us from the four corners of the world, Hebrew unites the immigrants with the rest of the country and begins, after a manner, cleansing and washing the heart and mind of the diaspora. By embracing Hebrew, we embrace our true identity as People of the Book. The ones with whom God has made His Covenant.

Learning Hebrew is easier said than done for most people. But that story is for another post...

Nissim & Hadassah
Jerusalem, Israel

Hadassah and Nissim, her accountant husband, live in a settlement just outside Jerusalem with their dog Molly. After making Aliyah (immigrating) from the U.S. with their five children in 1989, they are now semi-retired and open their home to guests and those wishing to make Aliyah. When not busy with their 16 'GrandWonders', they enjoy a quiet life of study, prayer and learning to serve the LORD.

Israel Announces "Donald Trump Train Station" in Jerusalem - Israel Today

Israel Announces "Donald Trump Train Station" in Jerusalem

Wednesday, December 27, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
Israel Railways has decided to name the final stop on its soon-to-open high-speed Tel Aviv-Jerusalem line after US President Donald Trump, reported Yediot Ahronot.
The much-anticipated rail line was originally supposed to terminate at a new station being built adjacent to Jerusalem's Central Bus Station and the International Convention Center (known locally as Binyanei Haumah).
But an underground extension was added taking the train to the entrance of the Old City of Jerusalem. About a year ago, Transportation Minister Israel Katz proposed another extension, taking the train (again, underground) all the way to the Western Wall.
That final station near the Western Wall is the one Israel Railways intends to name "Donald John Trump Train Station."
That honor is being bestowed in recognition of Trump's decision to finally recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, as a matter of official US foreign policy.
