Google Home Devices Programmed to Recognize Muhammad and Buddha, but not Jesus - CBN News Caitlin Burke

Google Home Devices Programmed to Recognize Muhammad and Buddha, but not Jesus
Jan, 27, 2018 - CBN News Caitlin Burke
Google Home can tell you about Buddha and Muhammad--but don't bother asking about Jesus.
Users are posting videos showing Google products refusing to answer the question: "Who is Jesus?"
In a Facebook Live video uploaded by television producer and author David Sams, the smart audio assistant replies, "Sorry, I don't know how to help with that yet."
Sams next asks a question about God and receives the same answer.
When asked about Buddha and Muhammad, Google Home reads off the opening sentence from each of their Wikipedia pages.
"So, my question is, is there somebody at Google that has something against Jesus, something against God? Is this a corporate mandate of some sort?" Sams asked.
Amazon's Alexa, a product similar to Google Home, knows the answer to "who is Jesus," answering with the first sentence of the Wikipedia page on Jesus.
"Amazon is Jesus friendly, Google, not so much," Sams concluded.
Sams encouraged anyone watching to contact Google and make sure that God and Jesus are included on all smart audio platforms.
Other Google Home users have also noticed that Jesus seems to be the only religious figure missing.
This Android user posted a video showing Google products answering questions about Allah, Brahman, Krishna, Moses and Joseph Smith. Silence when asked about Jesus.

Evangelical Leaders Applaud Guatemala Decision to Recognize Jerusalem as Israel's Capital - LATINO COALITION FOR ISRAEL

Evangelical Leaders Applaud Guatemala Decision to Recognize Jerusalem as Israel's Capital

LATINO COALITION FOR ISRAEL  charisma news
The Latino Coalition for Israel coordinated a historic delegation of over 20 Leaders representing millions of Evangelicals to visit the President of Guatemala, Jimmy Morales this week. The Delegation came to personally express their gratitude and support for Morales' decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and for his decision to move Guatemala's Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
The group joined a broader delegation of 70 Christian and Jewish Leaders for the Mission of Solidarity and Gratitude to Guatemala.
The delegates met for a dinner and private meeting with President Morales at the Presidential residence. Faith Leaders Mario Bramnick, President of LCI; Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council; Congresswoman Michele Bachmann; Pastor Ramiro Pena, Senior Pastor, Christ the King; Dr. Jim Garlow, Senior Pastor of Skyline Church and Lourdes Aguirre, LCI Director, were among those who met with the President. José Garces, Founder of Armonicemos and Gloria Garces, Media, & Outreach Director of Fuente Latina, coordinated the dinner and meetings and were instrumental in mobilizing the Evangelical Leaders in Guatemala to support the Embassy move to Jerusalem.
The Latino Coalition for Israel launched a Latin American Jerusalem Task Force with key Christian and Jewish leaders from the United States and Latin America. The Task Force will begin a campaign working with other Latin American leaders to prompt them to declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to make decisions on moving their Embassies to Jerusalem.
"Christian and Jewish leaders gathered in Guatemala, united as one, to proudly applaud President Morales' decision to move Guatemala's Embassy from Tel-Aviv to its rightful place in Jerusalem, a city that has represented the importance of the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people for thousands of years," Bramnick said.
Aguirre reiterated the importance of having other leaders follow Guatemala's lead.
"It is our desire to see other Latin American nations follow the bold decision and leadership of President Trump and President Morales," Aguirre said.
Here is what other leaders had to say about the visit with Morales and the importance of the event:
"Our support for Israel is first and foremost rooted in the Bible, where it was clearly established that God gave the Land of Israel, with Jerusalem as its undivided capital, to the Jewish people as an eternal covenant. Indeed, the claim and presence of Jewish people in Israel and Jerusalem has remained constant for more than 3,000 years."—Congresswoman Michelle Bachman
"Beyond our many mutual strategic interests, Israel is an exceptional country that shares our most essential values. It is the only nation in the Middle East where Freedom of Religion, as defined by the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is practiced. This is of utmost concern to Christians and Jews. The freedom to access numerous Christian and Jewish ancestral heritage sites is safeguarded and guaranteed by Israeli sovereignty, a fact that stands in stark contrast to the persecution and genocide of Christians taking place in most countries throughout the region."—Tony Perkins
"We come to stand with President Morales - and the nation of Guatemala - because he has taken a stand for truth. The President recognizes that every nation should choose its own capital. But even more important is the fact that God chose Israel's capital. We stand with Guatemala as they have stood for truth and justice."—Dr. Jim Garlow
"Despite the challenges and obstacles that may confront our support for Israel, we know that this support is instrumental. For as the Lord promised Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse," and as the Psalmist wrote of his sacred capital .... "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper them that love thee."—Pastor Ramiro Pena

Jan. 27, 2018

Greetings from Charlotte, North Carolina.

We are surrounded by people, places and events that influence our lives every day. Either for good or bad, how these affect us can determine how we will thus bring our own influence to those around us. As believers, we are called to extend the influence of the Gospel to bring positive change, where good stands against evil.

My newest Now Think On This message hopes to encourage you to be one whom others are influenced by, to bring hope and peace in their world. By the grace of God, we can do this. I hope you will read it. Let me know!

Be blessed with ahava and shalom,

Now Think On This
Influence - Now Think On This
 by Steve Martin
As I watched the life celebration of the fallen police officer on the newscast, I was amazed by the influence the young man of 37 already had had upon the community. He had been in service for 12 years, shot down in the line of duty. But during his life here on earth, he had a major impact on many – within his family, church and the local community. Thousands attended the funeral service in person. Many more watched as I did on one of the three local TV stations covering the broadcast from the church. (Later, the car procession from the church to the cemetery, following the casket, was an hour long on the interstate.)

As the sheriff, father, brother and church pastor each spoke in turn, a major portion of the young man’s life was shared with thanksgiving, appreciation, and acknowledgment of the years he had, touching others’ lives in a very positive way. His profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was publicly pronounced as well, for he had been one known to live out his Christian faith, through demonstrating his own love and commitment to those around him. He had touched lives. He had influenced many.

Many books are written about those who have gone before us, who had set their hearts to accomplish the purpose for which they had been born. I would imagine few knew what that purpose was as they first started out, but as they grew, the realization of their gifts and talents they had been given were made known to them. They then wasted little time in taking their place and walking out their call. Thus their names are remembered in the historical records that commemorate their achievements.

'Biblical Superhero' About to Invade the Box Office and Prove Just How Powerful God Is - BILLY HALLOWELL FAITHWIRE

Scott, who likened Samson to a "biblical superhero" of sorts, said that he believes it's a good time for an action-themed Christian movie to take center stage, particularly one based on a figure who is so known and loved.

'Biblical Superhero' About to Invade the Box Office and Prove Just How Powerful God Is

As Christian movie house Pure Flix prepares for the Feb. 16 release of Samson, a film about the popular biblical figure known for his supernatural strength, CEO Michael Scott is revealing how he believes the film will help teach Christians some valuable life lessons.
"So much in our lives today ... we're focused on our things, it may not be God's things. We may be off track in what we're doing," he said, noting that Samson's story of regaining his strength to defeat his enemies offers up some lessons in perseverance. "Ultimately, God came through and [Samson] was able to finish what God had for him and finish strong."
Scott, who likened Samson to a "biblical superhero" of sorts, said that he believes it's a good time for an action-themed Christian movie to take center stage, particularly one based on a figure who is so known and loved.
"There's a great love story in this ... but it's also got the action element," he said. "It's just timely for a movie like this with all the other fare that's coming out in the marketplace."
Scott also discussed the history behind how Pure Flix came to make popular, feature-length pictures, noting that the company started off in 2005 by producing small films.
Over time, though, the business evolved to yield features such as God's Not Dead and The Case for Christ.
The lessons that have been learned along the way have been profound, with Pure Flix becoming so established that the company now makes a global impact through its films, messaging and a streaming platform.
"What I was shocked by ... [is] the amount of impact a movie can have ... we can really communicate with our culture today," Scott said. "If you have an incredible story that can be packaged up with the right message ... I think it can be a powerful tool used for the Lord."
And the film company's audience isn't solely comprised of Christians, as Scott said that up to one-third of its film viewers are "non-believers."
"I'm thrilled to be here at Pure Flix ... and just watch what God can do," he said.
