INTRODUCTION
From Oct. 16, 2025, to Jan. 12, 2026, my good wife Laurie (48 years and counting) and I had the most incredible time in Jerusalem and many parts of Israel. We had come to serve with Christian Friends of Israel Jerusalem, as needed.
As I sit on the back veranda of the apartment they provided for us, I watch the sun rise over the southeast as another of His glorious days begins. My heart is full of the love of Yeshua (Jesus) for this, His chosen city, His chosen Land, and His chosen people, the Jews.
We came to bring comfort to His people coming out from a heartbreaking war on the eight fronts the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were fighting, after the horrendous, murderous, home destruction years since October 7, 2023. The Israelis had been fighting for their lives, their families, their land promised to them by the Living God of Israel. We hoped to bring His love to them as Christians, standing on His Word.
God the Father did not fail them. In so many miraculous ways, He protected them, united them, and caused them to cry out to Him for His salvation.
Over 1200 Jewish civilians were lost that day. Over 1000 young men, women, and reserves have since been lost, destroyed by the enemy who seems never to go away.
“We just want peace,” is the cry of our friends’ hearts here in Jerusalem and the surrounding hills.
But, when the Messiah Yeshua returns to this very city, Jerusalem, they will know Him as their Peace King, their Shalom Most High.
Come Jesus! Bo Yeshua!
As
that time of His return quickly approaches, we joined with several hundred
Christians, coming from the nations, to comfort, stand in support, and let the
love of the Father work through us for them.
In this, my 40th book, written during my 30th trip to Israel since the late 1990s, I share some of my stories. Some chapters are in the “present tense” because I wrote them at the time they occurred.
Many Jews are returning to their Land now, as prophesied centuries ago by Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Yeshua Himself. Christians are going to Israel to comfort and support them in their return.
And then Jesus (Yeshua) will return as the King of kings and Lord of lords.
I desire that the Lord Himself will touch your heart, and you, too, will join Him in this glorious work, to see His salvation come to the Jews and Arabs of Israel.

Back in Charlotte after 3 months in Jerusalem, Israel

Greetings from our home base here in Charlotte. After what I call another “deployment” to Israel, and also an Ahava Adventure (Ahava is love in Hebrew), we landed late on Jan. 12, 2026. Thank you David and Pam Lauka for the “midnight ride”!
I wasn’t thinking about doing a “we are home” email, thinking it wasn’t needed, but thanks to Lisa, who encouraged me to do so while at church this past Sunday, here you go.
This will be a bit different from the ones you received from me while Laurie and I were in Jerusalem, Israel these past three months from Oct. 16, 2025 to January 12, 2026.
I don’t have a message to share at this time. Only a big “Thank You” to the CFI-USA board, headed by Hannele Pardain, with Brian and Pat Cockfield, Allen and Nan Robertson, and of course, Laurie, my good wife.
And a special additional shout out to Allen Robertson, who helped edit my forthcoming book, Back To Jerusalem, due out in a few weeks. This is my 40th book, written while I was in Jerusalem. I know you will like it. And the men will like the photos, numbering over 120. (I know men.)
I also want to especially thank the leadership and volunteer staff of Christian Friends of Israel in Jerusalem. Laurie and I now have at least 30 new, great friends. Sharon Sanders (co-founder with her late husband Ray), Tristan and Galya Hall, International Director and Media Director, respectively, and each and every one else who all have come from the nations to bless Israel and His people…thank you!
Ministering the love of Yeshua, in action more than words, was the joy we had each and every day in the Land. Though this assignment is now completed, I look forward to the ones the Lord already has planned. (As early as March 10 for me.)
My new book, Back To Jerusalem, has 28 chapters of this adventure. And with all those photos, another great joy I had while in Israel photographing, you will want to get the hard back or paperback edition. I am especially excited to have a prominent Christian prophetic artist, James Nesbit, grant permission to incorporate one of his beautiful paintings on the front cover. Yeah Lord!
So…have a good week. As you pray earnestly throughout this new year, expect our Lord to move in your life beyond what you now think or imagine.
He did for us. He will do for you too!

It should be obvious when Jesus, the Messiah, was born. Christmas, spring, fall? Find this date and we all will know. Surely this time is well documented in Roman and Syrian historical books.
“Now it happened in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus to register all the world’s inhabitants. This was the first census taken when Quirinius was governor of Syria. Everyone was traveling to be registered in his own city.
Now Joseph also went up from the Galilee, out of the town of Nazareth to Judah, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem…to register with Mary, who was engaged to him and was pregnant.
