Sudden Changes by Doug Addison

Sudden Changes

by Doug Addison

Identity Network

May is a time when new things will spring forth and begin to come together. Watch for doors and opportunities to open suddenly. We are entering into a new time of things happening suddenly. Webster's dictionary defines the word suddenly as "happening quickly without warning." It is time to be prepared for "Sudden Change."

Wind of Change Returns

I had an angelic encounter on Tuesday morning, May 6th at 1:30 AM and a powerful angelic presence entered my house and was there most of the day. The angel that came was similar to an encounter I had this time two years ago. At that time I had an encounter with an angel called the Wind of Change (not the Winds of Change). I was in Denver on April 20, 2012 when I released the prophetic word for May 2012 and got a huge response from readers.

Now two years later the Wind of Change is back. In 2012 I had a vision in a dream that a wind came, blowing things almost violently and the result was that everything was reorganized. You will be safe if you stay close to God. May is the start of the Wind of Change. It would be more accurately called the wind of sudden change. Things are beginning to divinely realign.

Those who heard God say to "wait" and have been obediently waiting a long time are going to be released! It is breaking discouragement, depression, suicidal thoughts and self-sabotage.

Dream About Chicago - the Windy City

I had a prophetic dream last month that I was living in a high-rise building and the firemen from the TV show Chicago Fire came bursting in saying that everyone had to evacuate. Hermann and Mouch from the TV show were apologizing that they were not able to get to the top of the building in time to put out the fire.

And just like the prophetic word for this month, "suddenly," we had to move quickly because the top of the tall building was engulfed in flames. God spoke to me that the fire of the Holy Spirit is coming to those in Chicago.

Prophetic Dream of Flexibility

I had a dream last month of the need to be flexible. In the dream I was bending in all kinds of positions and God spoke to me that it is a time to be flexible. This is a time of shifting paradigms. We are moving into a new era, not just a new season, but also a new way of doing things. Being flexible will allow us to deal with the sudden changes that are just ahead.

Unity is the Key

The Apostle Paul had an amazing revelation. In Romans 12:5 Paul said that we are all part of the same "body." Paul symbolically compared the Church to being a body.

"So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." (Romans 12:5)

John Wimber said, "In our quest for doctrinal purity, we no longer treat other Christians the way God wants us to. God is calling us to unity and oneness."

Church history has evolved and since the Protestant Reformation of 1517, which brought necessary change to the Church, it also brought over 33,000 different denominations. Though lots of great changes came out of it, we also became MAJORLY divided.

Paul, in 1 Corinthians 12:20-26 talks about the fact that though we are many parts we are still made up of one body of believers and that we can't say that we don't need certain parts. Like each other or not, in reality we actually need one another.

As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" 1 Corinthians 12:20-21

In order to go into the new season and era God is calling us to we must heal our divisions.  We are "one" no matter what our doctrinal differences may be.

The Curse of Cain

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?"

"I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?"

The Lord said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth." Genesis 4:8-12

When Cain killed his brother, God said, "Your brother's blood cries out to me." Cain came under a curse that caused him to work and never get ahead, to be restless and wander and never seem to find his destiny.

It's the same today, spiritually. When we speak against other Christians, when we wound them or try to kill them spiritually, we can come under this same curse.

We have theology that the Body is one, but we don't live out the reality of it. Our sin of judging each other affects us all.

Jesus said, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."John 13:35

Get ready for sudden changes. Get ready to love people who are different than you, get ready for God to move in your life and divinely realign us all to become more effective!

Blessings,

Rabbis Reconsider Jesus - ISRAEL TODAY

Rabbis Reconsider Jesus

Thursday, April 10, 2014 |  David Lazarus  ISRAEL TODAY
Jewish attitudes towards Jesus are changing. Rabbi Evan Moffic of the Solel Congregation in Chicago gives further evidence of this in his synopsis of what modern rabbis are saying about the carpenter from Nazareth. Moffic represents a younger, more inquisitive generation of Jewish thinking about Jesus. His findings might surprise many.

Sexual Abuse in the Church Needs to Stop! by JENNIFER LECLAIRE

Sexual Abuse in the Church Needs to Stop!

Beyond all the pedophilia in the Catholic church, there are plenty Protestant sexual scandals making headlines. The sexual abuse in the church needs to stop! (Stock.xchng)

I’m so absolutely grieved! So tired of reading about sexual abuse scandals in the church. Beyond all the pedophilia in the Catholic Church, there are plenty of Protestant sexual scandals making headlines. The sexual abuse in the church needs to stop!
The latest allegation comes against Jesus People USA in Chicago. A 90-minute documentary film, No Place to Call Home, puts the allegations on the big screen. The Chicago Tribune reports that Heather Kool, 38, has filed a lawsuit saying she was abused in the 1980s by members of Jesus People USA.
For all the high-profile cases, there are many smaller instances that we never hear about. In February, a man was indicted for sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl in a Mountain View church bathroom in Anchorage, Alaska. Also in February, a Maryland man was charged with sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl when he served as a deacon at Grace Apostolic Church.
Again in February, a Southwestern Illinois man was charged with four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse on a teenager—and five other males have since come forward with similar complaints about the deacon at the First Baptist Church. And would you believe, in February, a Willow Creek Church volunteer in Chicago was charged with aggravated sexual abuse for molesting two boys. Also in February, a South Jersey church organist was charged with sexually abusing five boys in 30 days.
The reports just go on and on—and on. It’s sickening. Evangelicals put so much effort into battling issues like gay marriage and abortion, which is all well and good, but where is the crusade against sexual abuse in the church? The secular media is reporting these instances, but it seems unless it’s a megachurch pastor or a celebrity preacher involved, cases of kids being molested in Protestant churches continue arising without much attention.
Church, sexual abuse in our sanctuary’s backrooms and playgrounds is a bona fide epidemic. Again, for all the focus on pedophilia in the Catholic Church, it appears the Protestant church is rivaling priestly perversions. Lawsuits are now emerging from folks like Heather Kool—and more are bound make their way from the sanctuary to the courtroom, especially if Kool sees success and especially if the church refuses to keep sweeping these dirty little secrets under the rug.
In my book The Spiritual Warrior’s Guide to Defeating Jezebel, I point to one root of this sort of immorality. In charismatic circles, we call it the spirit of Jezebel, which is essentially a spirit of seduction that woos people into immorality and idolatry. (See Revelation 2:20.) Sexual predators carrying the Christian banner have been seduced and deceived by this spirit, which has somehow justified sexual abuse in their darkened minds. The spirit of Jezebel has formed a stronghold over our nation. Lester Sumrall warned about this before he went on to glory—and it’s happening right before our eyes.
The sexual abuse in the church needs to stop! I urge anyone who has been sexually abused at the hand of a pastor, priest, deacon or anyone else who works in the church to rise up and speak out. Go to the police. File a lawsuit. Cry out to God for justice. It’s time to clean house—and judgment begins in the house of God (1 Pet. 4:17).
The only way to defeat the spirit of Jezebel is to expose it and confront it. This seducing spirit is targeting the next generation, wounding their souls and leaving them open attacks from other spirits that could destroy their lives. Indeed, I am convinced that many of these sexual abusers had broken, wounded hearts of their own—perhaps they were molested as children—and have given over to the lusts of the flesh through the temptations of seducing spirits that justify the behavior.
Whether you agree that spirits are influencing people to commit sexual crimes or not, can we agree that it’s time for accountability in the house of God? Can we agree that the sexual abuse in the church needs to stop?

March for Life Pushes the 'Adoption Option' - CBN News

March for Life

Pushes the 'Adoption Option'

WASHINGTON -- Jan. 22 marks the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Although Washington temperatures were near zero, multitudes of pro-lifers still showed up Wednesday for the annual March for Life that protests the infamous ruling.
Marchers filled the streets in the bitter cold, knowing huge battles loom on every side of the abortion issue.
For instance, abortion opponents encourage pregnant women to go to pro-life pregnancy centers rather than abortion clinics. In response, the clinics and their allies have been trying to regulate such centers out of business.
Peggy Hartshorn is president of Heartbeat International, which represents some 1,800 pro-life centers.
"Abortion clinics are closing in the United States at the highest rate ever," she told CBN News. 'We had about 1,700 abortion clinics. We're down to just over 500 now. But pregnancy centers are multiplying. We have more than 2,000."
The theme of this year's March focuses on fighting for the adoption option.
Five years ago an unwed and pregnant Whitney Wall was planning to abort her unborn child. But after receiving help and support from a pregnancy center, Wall decided to form an adoption plan rather than abort.

She now encourages other women to do the same, not only for their own piece of mind and to save the baby, but because so many childless couples are anxious to adopt.
"I just remember when I had decided to make the adoption plan for my son, the boxes and boxes and boxes of profiles that I got of couples that were waiting for a family," Wall said. "It's just amazing to think of all the people that are relying on these women to make the right decision."
One battle inside the pro-life movement is whether to use gruesome images of aborted babies to ram the reality of the practice into the public's consciousness.
That's what Mark Harrington, executive director of Created Equal, was doing during this year's March: displaying such gruesome images on a JumboTron along the marchers' route.
"America's complicit in abortion. You have to see it to understand it," Harrington said in defense of showing the bloody photos. "A picture's worth a thousand words and nobody can explain it with words alone."
"That's the problem: it's all a bunch of rhetoric. Once you see the victims, you understand the injustice," he said.
Pro-Life Action League Executive Director Eric Scheidler marched in Chicago with many other abortion opponents on Sunday, Jan. 19. He said one battleground is just getting people to realize a human life is a net positive for the world.

"Many people believe that when a new child comes into the world, it's a big cost -- a cost for the parents; a cost for society. But we're finding that's simply not the case," Scheidler said. "In fact, a new study's just come out showing every child born on average contributes $217,000 to the national economy."
Scheidler pointed out polls show a growing number of Americans are turning pro-life. Now he's imploring those people to take action.
"The only way we're going to be victorious in the end is if every single person who recognizes the unborn child as valuable is willing to step outside their comfort zone and share that message with others," Scheidler said.

In the 41 years since Roe v. Wade led to legalized abortion, some 56 million babies have been aborted in America.

A Blessed Man, 'Tis I

I am a blessed man...

To have two fathers in heaven who love me
- my heavenly Father and my Dad.

To have a Savior who has forgiven me of my sins,
and loves all as no other can.

For having my Mom for over 59 years now,
who cheers me on. And with Bill too.

To have a good wife for 36 years, and counting.
My helpmate through and through.

For my four adult children, their spouses,
and our six grandchildren...
whom they are now raising
 in a godly manner.

For having many brothers and sisters too.
One right after another!

Giving thanks for Laurie's Mom Lorraine,
and good sister Linda.
And remembering Otto, my father-in-law,
a godly man, what a wonder.

I am a blessed man,
to have faithful friends
who stand with you,
while others have
come and gone.

Such as these, Peter & Joy Wyns,
who held us up in transition times,
when ministry desires seemed thin.

For worldwide bonds
in Israel,
Canada, the UK;
and even far beyond.

Daily I see His
purposes and plans
being worked out here.
Accomplished they are!

For these I give thanks
to the Lord on High;
A blessed man, 'tis I.

Ahava,
