It's a new era in Jewish evangelism! - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Dr Erez Soref President of  ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom!

We are overwhelmed when we take stock of what God is doing among us in these days. It is truly unprecedented.

We receive messages on a daily basis of Jewish people finding the truth about Yeshua the Messiah, and wanting to know more. Of course, we are delighted to help them find answers to all their questions!

"You
will seek Me and find Me, when you will search for Me with all your heart.

Then I will be found by you," says the Lord. (Jer 29:13-14)

Millions of Israelis are watching our videos explaining the truth about Yeshua. Would you like to know what are they are all watching? Here's an example of one of the videos we've made, explaining why God is not "religious" and does not wear a yarmulke :) If you prefer to read it as an article, click here.

HELPING HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS

Like any major city, our city has areas where there are many living below the poverty line, many of whom survived the Holocaust. Our staff team regularly go and visit these people to take food and supplies, seeking not only to give practical help, but also to bring some comfort, encouragement, and love in the name of the Lord.

ANGELINA UPDATE
Thank you to all those who have been joining us in prayer for Angelina Korotki, the daughter of our dear faculty member, Dr. Oleg Korotky, who was in a very serious car accident. Angelina sustained life threatening injuries, including head injuries. Angelina left Israel to study at Master College in California at the end of the summer. She is a godly young lady who loves to sing. In the past few weeks, Angelina Korotky has made remarkable progress, but she was still not speaking. Then on the first of January, she sang "Jesus Loves Me" and said "Happy New Year!" We, as well as the Korotky family, are so deeply thankful to our Lord and Savior!

A NEW ERA IN JEWISH EVANGELISM - MILLIONS WATCHED OUR EVANGELISTIC VIDEOS IN 2016!

We feel incredibly privileged to be directly involved in this wave of revival that is happening in Israel.
Many others serving in Jewish mission are in agreement that we are in the throes of a serious move of God among the Jewish people.
Time after time, if you ask these new Israeli believers what brought them to faith, they will mention our materials that they came across while searching for answers on the internet. Continue reading...

ZINZENDORF THE MESSIANIC TRAILBLAZER

He stood transfixed before the painting of Yeshua, whipped and crowned with thorns, with the words, "This have I suffered for you; now what will you do for me?" Zinzendorf would be forever changed from that moment. His response was to offer his life and all that he owned in return, and so God (never one to turn down an offer like that!) used him to launch one of the most influential movements in history.

Count Zinzendorf and the Moravians not only restarted the defunct engine of world mission and initiated their famous 100 years of continuous prayer, but they also were world pioneers for the Messianic movement way back in the early eighteenth century. Here's what happened. Continue reading...

Season's greetings and Hanukkah surprises! - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Dr Erez Soref President of  ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom!

The Christmas and Hanukkah holidays coincide this year, but for us who believe, the center of it all is Yeshua: Light of the world. We are so grateful for everything that He has done among us this year, and so grateful that you are with us on the journey.

Many blessings from us to you and your kin!

AND YOU SHALL CALL HIS NAME...

Immanuel, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, Jesus, Yeshua...

The name of our Savior is so precious and important, and in Hebrew the name is "Salvation": YESHUA! Most Israelis are not used to hearing his proper Hebrew name, but when they hear it, the impact is strong. The penny drops and the lights often come on, like they did for this person who recently started to message us!

Please pray for this man, that he would become a strong disciple of Yeshua who would lead many more to faith. Isn't it great that people are hearing about Yeshua in Israel more and more - through conversations at work and with friends?! It's a new day in Israel! And we are so glad that, together with you, we are able to provide all the information that Jewish people need when they start to search on the internet about Yeshua. Israelis can search anonymously, and then make contact with us when they are ready. It is such a privilege to be able to help them come to faith in their Messiah in this way.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

This past week, the daughter of our dear faculty member, Oleg Korotky, was in a very serious car accident. Angelina sustained life threatening injuries, including head injuries. Oleg and his wife Svetlana will arrive in the US later today to be with their daughter.

Angelina left Israel to study in California at the end of the summer. She is a godly young lady who loves to sing. She is a student at Masters College.

We ask you to please join the One for Israel / Israel College of the Bible family as we cry out to God for healing for Angelina, and grace for the Kortotky family.

ISAIAH 9 AND THE DAY OF MIDIAN

As the Christian world gears up for Christmas, the wonderful prophecy of Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a son is born", will come into focus once again. But perhaps less familiar to many is the treasure just two verses before it:

"For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian." (Isaiah 9:4) What does he mean by the "Day of Midian"? Continue reading...

CELEBRATING HANUKKAH

"At that time, they were celebrating the feast of Hanukkah in Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon." (John 10:22-23)

Jesus' best friend, John, tells us that Jesus was in Jerusalem for Hanukkah; the Feast of Dedication. So why don't his followers celebrate it too? Well, some of them do. Hanukkah is a Jewish feast, but not one of God's commanded feasts in the Bible. The holiday is famous for its nine-branch candlestick (instead of the seven-branch one mentioned in Exodus) and donuts! But the roots of the Feast of Dedication might be more Biblical than most people realize. Even Jewish people might be surprised! Continue reading...

I have to be careful in my search... - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Dr Erez Soref President of  ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom!

Yeshua called us to follow him and to become "fishers of men". As a follower of the Messiah, do you see yourself as a fisherman or woman?

We have found God has given us a great net to use - the internet! And we are always thrilled to hear each and every message that comes in from people responding to what they have seen in our videos and websites. Praise God with us for the great catch of fish he is bringing in!
Who wants to go fishing?

Please take a moment to watch my message below.

FISHING ON THE INTERNET

"Hi, my name is M, 25 years old. I am Jewish, and come from a Modern Orthodox family. I have been watching your videos for a while now, and I'm curious to find out more about Jesus. Because of my background I have to be careful in my search. I would like to speak to someone if possible. Thanks."

Since receiving his message, we have reached out to "M" and provided him with an email address he can contact. Please pray that we will be able to plug him into a believing community nearby, and that he will find the truth he's earnestly searching for.

This one came last week from 'Hagar', a law student in her twenties from Tel Aviv:

"I researched your website, watched a million of your videos, and now want to take an active part in order to learn more and adjust my life in accordance to what you are preaching. Can you please connect me with someone who can give me more information?"

Three more messages like this came in two days after we released a video about the real origin of the rabbinic oral-law. These are exciting days for the gospel in Israel!

Please pray for Hagar, Lilian, David and Gina who got in touch with us asking to be connected. Pray that they would find their Messiah, Yeshua, and be rooted and established in love among other believers in their area.

VIRGIN BIRTH: FAIRYTALE OR BIBLICAL PROPHECY?

Some people argue that Isaiah only said a "young woman" would give birth, rather than specifying that she would be a virgin. What does the Hebrew word used in Isaiah 7:14really mean? "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the 'alma' shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." If this was about a married woman who got pregnant, there would be no value to the "sign". Women get pregnant every day. But the prophet is predicting something unusual; he is prophesying that "the alma shall conceive." Continue reading...

PRAYING LIKE DANIEL PRAYED

It was the first year of King Darius' reign, and the long exile of the people of Israel in Babylon would soon come to an end. Daniel was reading Jeremiah. Then, the penny dropped..."I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes." (Daniel 9:2-3)
He realized that the prophecy was going to be fulfilled very soon, so he rolled up his sleeves and got praying with all his might. But why? If he knew that God would do this anyway, why did he have to ask for it? Continue reading...
