Why This Is One of the Most Powerful Types of Prayer

GRETCHEN RODRIGUEZ  CHARISMA NEWS
Soundless prayers are often our most powerful ones. Voiceless utterances where we connect spirit to Spirit with the Lord become some of our deepest encounters. Maybe it's because all of us is poured out before the greatness of all of Him. We're completely open. Raw. There's no pretense or desire to impress Him with our eloquent words or lists of memorized Scripture. We simply exist. Fully yielded to the one who already knows.
With no words left, when we forget how to ask, how to petition, and the sword of the Word feels too heavy on our lips, we come. We thrust ourselves before His grace and mercy, and He meets us. With the strength and gentleness of arms that can only belong to our Lord, He scoops us up and allows us to rest. His strength undeservedly becomes ours, until we can once again wield that sword with accuracy and power. Although we may not hear Him say a word, we feel Him—filling our most toxic places with the light of His glory. We experience a tangible knowing far greater than natural understanding.
This is the place of abandon. It is also the place of great empowering. Though we feel shattered and undone, it's in this place of pain that we discover how real Jesus is. Pain becomes the surgeon's hand that opens us up to receive the new. The healthy. The unmistakably miraculous. Jesus, our healer, knows how to turn what is meant for harm, into something beautiful. The enemy cannot steal what we receive in these moments. These snippets of eternal bliss that overflow into every facet of our being, become heavenly manna for us to eat from. Feast upon. Serve others from.
Today, the Lord wants to remind you that He sees. He knows. He's with you. You may feel as though darkness has swallowed you whole, but for every lie, He is the truth. Light comes on the whispers of His breath. Lean in. Rest now and receive. His love always finds a way. His strength is yours. Selah.

This is Your Moment by Gretchen Rodriguez

All of us have at least one thing we are standing in faith for. Day after day, we pray. We stand. We worship and we declare God's truth. Until the manifestation comes, we wait and we believe, sometimes through tears and sometimes with tenacity. Always, by His grace.

This morning the Lord gave me flashbacks of moments in my life that literally changed everything. Scene after scene, I was reminded of the power that one moment holds. One word I'd waited to hear, one decision, one touch of healing, one revelation, one tragedy….life, radically impacted in an instant.

The Lord is encouraging us to be in expectation mode, especially if we've recently been knocked down. The enemy loves to thrust our attention toward the problem and away from the One who holds the answer. Regardless of how long you've believed for your breakthrough, do not give up! Your breakthrough is a moment away, a mysterious, inexplicable, precious point where God's will and your life converge.

We don't usually see what God is doing on our behalf, as we worship with holy abandon or bow low with no words or strength left. He loves to rush in and fill a moment with spectacular proof that He alone is God. Faith and expectation are key, no matter how long you've waited.

Making Your Moment

As I pondered the power of a moment, the Lord reminded me that many times, I made my own moment. I decided to trust, instead of allowing doubt. I took a brave step and had a conversation that shifted the course of my life. I chose to agree with God's purpose for my life and ran after it. Sometimes, our moments come sovereignly and sometimes they come because we choose to agree with God and do what we once thought was impossible. But always, it comes as we turn our hearts, our worship, and our focus to Him and away from the problem.

Think about moments when your life shifted for the better. Ponder the beauty of those times and fill your heart and mouth with thankfulness to the Lord. What are you contending for? How can you change your thinking or your actions to better agree with God? I'd love to hear in the comments below.

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it" (Habakkuk 2:3).

The Final Pieces are Coming into Place. Don't Give Up! by Gretchen Rodriguez - Identity Network

The Final Pieces are Coming into Place. Don't Give Up! by Gretchen Rodriguez  - Identity Network

Imagine if today were the day you received that breakthrough you've been praying for.
Go ahead - imagine.
Close your eyes and picture what it would be like. How would you react? Would you celebrate? Would you cry in relief? What would it feel like to finally have the answer to that prayer for finances, health, family, ministry...? The list is endless, but deeply personal to the one who's been believing God for a resolution.
Did you allow your imagination to take you to that moment, or did you scoff? So many of us have been believing God for things that feel as though they are never going to happen. Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't happen. I understand what it's like to be afraid of stirring your hope; to believe again.

But giving up is definitely not the answer! As my pastor, Bill Johnson, says, "Your greatest breakthrough is on the other side of adversity." The greater the opposition to the breakthrough, the sweeter it will be once it happens. The Lord is inviting you to release doubt and disappointment, and allow hope and faith to flood your being.
Anything is Possible
I'm here to encourage you today that anything is possible with God!
This year (2015) Yom Kippur (a Jewish time of repentance) coincided with the Year of Jubilee (which happens once every 50 years). Jubilee was a time of celebration when debts were forgiven, slaves set free, and all land was restored to its original owner, whether it was stolen, sold, etc. Before I knew anything about it being Jubilee, my spirit was jumping with excitement.  The Lord spoke to me and told me to get excited, because He was bringing surprises. I knew it wasn't only for me, but for the Body of Christ! He told me to stop looking at the circumstances and start anticipating the answer - to start thanking Him in advance. He told me that it would be even better than we've been imagining. This is our time of Jubilee! If you feel hopeless, the Lord wants to breathe hope within you. Just ask Him!
Focus
Right now everything may feel like it's being shaken and sifted, but don't let it scare you. It's just those final pieces coming into place - it is the enemy being crushed beneath the core of your faith. Keep your eyes focused on Him. Refuse to allow these last attempts to scare you out of faith and knock you off course. I see the Lord holding your face between His strong, yet gentle hands, and looking intently in your eyes. He's saying, "Focus on Me. I've got this."
What did it feel like when you imagined your breakthrough? Pretty good, I bet! The Lord wants you to start celebrating in advance, especially on the days when opposition is screaming in your face. I also want to encourage you to ask the Lord for Wisdom. Many will be receiving breakthroughs that are much bigger than anticipated, and in order to navigate them well, you must have God's Wisdom.
This is our time! Let's celebrate!
