The anticipation leading up to Inauguration Day was intense. With threats of violent protests—more than 200 were arrested, and six police officers were reportedly injured during the fray—and prophetic warnings from many leaders in the body of Christ urging prayer, it's no wonder there was a sound of victory when Donald J. Trump officially stepped into the office of president of the United States.

But in that moment, there was more than the sound of victory—there was the sound of lions roaring in the spirit. When Trump decreed and declared so emphatically, "There should be no fear. We are protected, and we will always be protected ... by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement. And most importantly, we will be protected by God," roars echoed in the spirit.

It wasn't Trump's roar. It wasn't the roar of false prophets with conspiracy theories who try to wring money from your pocket with fearful predictions that offer no hope of redemption or mercy.

No, it was the sound of the Lord roaring from on high, uttering His voice from His holy habitation (Jer. 25:30). It was the sound of God Almighty roaring from Zion, reminding us He is a refuge and stronghold for His people (Joel 3:16).

I also heard the sound of the enemy roaring with the sting of a setback—and I urge you to keep praying. The enemy's agenda took a massive blow on Friday. We won a battle, but we're still fighting a spiritual war against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph. 6).

Remember, 1 Peter 5:8 tells us, "Be sober and watchful, because your adversary the devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."

God has shown forth His mercy on America, just as the true prophets of God with a reverent fear of the Lord proclaimed despite being laughed to scorn as the mainstream media manipulated the news to portray Hillary Clinton as a shoe-in.

As Amos 3:8 puts it, "The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?"

I prophesy to you, in the name of Jesus, we will see more divine interventions in the days ahead. We're in a kairos moment. It's an opportune time. We're on the precipice of a Third Great Awakening. There's just one condition. We must continue with the heart posture of 2 Chronicles 7:14:

"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Today is Inauguration Day, when President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will each take their respective oaths of office.

Over the past 228 years—and 57 previous inaugurations—a number of traditions have developed as part of our nation's process of peacefully transferring power from one administration to the next. Here's the schedule of events for Friday, as well as some of the history surrounding them.

All times are Eastern Standard Time.

10 a.m.: Morning Worship Service — This tradition actually began with President George Washington, who attended a church service after he was sworn in. President Franklin Roosevelt made it a permanent part of the inauguration by attending a service at St. John's Episcopal Church, located across the street from the White House, the morning of the inauguration.

11 a.m.: The Procession — With the exception of Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson, who both walked to the Capitol for their inaugurations, ever president has ridden in a carrier or automobile to the location of their swearing-in ceremony. Since 1837, when Martin Van Buren rode with Jackson to his inauguration, the outgoing and incoming presidents have taken this journey, now known simply as "the procession," together.

11:30 a.m. The Inauguration — There will be some speeches made prior to Pence and Trump taking their respective oaths of office (the vice president goes first, followed by the president, and they have different oaths to take), which begin as close to 12 p.m. as the organizers can get it. Originally, the vice president took his oath in the Senate Chamber, then led the Senate to the inaugural ceremony for the president. Today, they are done together. Prior to 1981, the ceremony was held on the East Front of the Capitol; now it's done on the West Front, facing the National Mall.

12 p.m.: Trump's Inaugural Speech — There isn't any tradition as to the length or subject matter of the presidents' inaugural speeches, and as a result they have varied widely over the years. Washington's second address, clocking in at just 135 words, is the shortest. President William Harrison's speech, the longest by far at 8,445 words, has been considered a contributing factor to his death from pneumonia one month after taking office.

12:30 p.m.: Obamas Depart the White House — The 1889 Handbook of Official and Social Etiquette and Public Ceremonies at Washington describes the outgoing president's retirement as follows: "His departure from the Capital is attended with no ceremony, other than the presence of the members of his late Cabinet and a few officials and personal friends.  The President leaves the Capital as soon as practicable after the inauguration of his successor." Sometimes, this is easier said than done.

1 p.m.: Inaugural Luncheon — The National Statuary Hall in the Capitol will once again host the reception at which the president, vice president, and members of Congress will have a three course meal. This tradition dates as far back as 1897, when the Senate Committee on Arrangements gave a luncheon for President William McKinley and several other guests at the Capitol, but it did not begin in its current form until Dwight Eisenhower's inauguration in 1953.

3 p.m.: Inaugural Parade — Trump and Pence will make their way down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House, leading a procession of ceremonial military regiments, citizens' groups, marching bands and floats in a tradition that dates all the way back to 1789. The President, Vice President, their spouses and special guests will then review the parade as it passes in front of the Presidential Reviewing Stand.

The weather forecast for Friday, as of this writing, calls for rain, but little wind, and temperatures in the upper-40s. Gates for the spectator areas open at 6 a.m., and music will begin being played at 9 a.m.

On Inauguration Day, some thoughts on Obama’s disastrous legacy, the Trump-Pence approach towards Israel & the Arab world, and prayers for safety. by joelcrosenberg Today is Inauguration Day in Washington. As the nations watch the world's oldest democracy in action, let us pray for the safe and peaceful transition of power. Let us pray the Lord shows great mercy to the American people by granting wisdom and discernment to the new President and Vice President and their families and team. America is in trouble. She is on the wrong track. She is at risk of implosion. A great turnaround is needed spiritually, politically, economically, and militarily. Americans, and the world, need this new administration to get the country back on track, to steer in the right direction, to stand tall with our allies and confront our enemies. An encouraging note: I understand that Mike Pence will be taking the oath of office on President Ronald Reagan's Bible, and that the Bible will be open to 2 Chronicles 7:14. Good for him. This is one of my favorite verses, and one we need to embrace. "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land," said the Lord. To be clear: this verse is not a promise to America. It's actually a promise to Israel, and one I pray all my fellow Israelis will embrace. But 2 Chronicles 7:14 is based on a principle that is echoed in Jeremiah 18:8 for all nations. "If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned," said the Lord. God wants the people of every nation to turn to Him for forgiveness, wisdom and blessing, and if a nation says yes to Him, He promises to be gracious. Let's say yes to that wonderful offer. At the same time, let us pray for the Lord to show mercy on the outgoing President and his family. I believe Barack Obama has done great damage to our country and our world. This damage needs to be identified, corrected, and healed, and lessons learned. But I don't wish the Obamas ill will. I want the Lord to be very gracious to this couple and their daughters and draw them close to Him in their post-White House life. A few thoughts as we make this transition from one administration to the next: The world order is more unstable and dangerous than at any time since the peak of the Cold War. The United States has been badly weakened -- the national debt is soaring, the people are bitterly divided, our alliances are severely strained, our enemies find themselves emboldened. The Middle East is on fire -- Iran is ascendant and increasingly aggressive, the Islamic State is engaged in genocide, Syria is imploding, Christians and other minorities are being slaughtered, and threats against Israel are steadily mounting. The strategic situation facing Israel is a conundrum, actually -- on the one hand the Jewish State is stronger economically, technologically, and militarily than at any time since here prophetic rebirth as a sovereign state in 1948. On the other hand, global forces are working hard to isolate and delegitimize Israel. Far too many liberals in the academia and the media are engaged in a relentless assault against Israel's morality and legitimacy, all of which is having a deleterious effect. At the same time, I regard this plummeting support for Israel among liberals and young people that I discussed in yesterday's Jerusalem Post column as part of President Obama’s disastrous legacy on foreign policy. Yes, I readily agree that Mr. Obama did some good things vis-a-vis Israel, including supporting Iron Dome and the sale of F-35s to Israel and agreeing to the recent Memorandum of Understanding on US-Israeli defense cooperation. For this we are and should be grateful. But let's be honest: far too often, Mr. Obama was castigating Israel as the major problem in the Middle East rather than supporting her as America’s most important and faithful ally. Mr. Obama was routinely far more belligerent with Israeli leaders than with the leaders of Iran or North Korea, China or Russia. Mr. Obama and his senior advisors repeatedly expressed derision and disdain for Israel's democratically elected leaders and policies while showing unbelievable deference to America's enemies. "Do not be deceived," say the Scriptures. "God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." (Galatians 6:7) Over the past eight years, the Obama administration has sown doubt and disrespect towards Israel. Now we are reaping bitter fruit. That said, I am not discouraged. While I honestly have no idea how to change liberal views towards Israel (apart from prayer and leading them to Christ), I believe we can educate and influence Independents and Millennials about the strategic value of Israel as a faithful and trustworthy ally and friend. And we can -- and must-- work especially with Christian Millennials to help them learn what the Bible teaches about God's love and plan for Israel and the Jewish people. At the same time, we need to make sure we show respect and friendship to the Palestinian people. After all, we want there to be real and lasting peace and security between Israel and the Palestinians. We want the Palestinian people to have wise and courageous leaders who will end the incitement of hatred and violence, root out corruption, establish security and the rule of law, create an environment of economic growth and job creation, and will sit down and really work together with Israel to build a better future. Let's not be cynics. Blessed be the peacemakers. Let us pray and work to this end. At the same time, we also need to show respect and friendship to our other friends and allies in the Sunni Arab world. Wanting a healthier US-Israel alliance is not a zero sum game. Yes, we need to pray for and actively encourage the new administration and Congress to stand strongly with Israel on a bipartisan basis. But we also want our leaders to actively reaffirm our alliances with Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, the Gulf States and other key allies in the region. Indeed, we need to pray for and encourage the President and his administration  to choose to build on the encouraging if quiet strategic alliances that are being developed between Israel and many Sunni Arab states, in part because they have serious common enemies in Iran and the Islamic State. We also want the President and his administration to speak accurately and respectfully about Islam -- to help the American people understand the threat posed both by Radical and Apocalyptic elements within the Muslim world, but also to help them understand that the vast majority of Muslims (90% or so) are not violent, not support of jihad or extremism, and can be friends and allies if we engage them respectfully. I'm encouraged that President Trump and Vice President Pence have repeatedly indicated their intention to reaffirm the importance of a strong, healthy US-Israel alliance, and that they see the Obama legacy on Israel and throughout the Mideast as unhealthy and even harmful. I'm encouraged by most of the President's picks for his national security team. Overall, it's a very smart and experienced team. They have good relations both with Israel and Sunni Arab leaders. They see the significant threats posed by Iran and ISIS and they seem committed to confronting both. Most of them rightly see Vladimir Putin as a serious threat to US national security and believe in a reinvigorated NATO alliance. They want to rebuild the American military and American alliances around the world. They provide a much needed breath of fresh air and hope for a new beginning. Getting American economic, domestic and foreign policy back on the right track will not be quick or easy. There will be moments of frustration, discouragement and dismay. But let us be prayerful and patient and let us trust the grace and sovereignty of the Lord each and every day. After all, we are in His hands, and they are good, strong, faithful hands. At exactly 3:33 am this morning, I awoke suddenly and could not go back to sleep.

So I grabbed by laptop and began to look and see if there was a reason I was awake.

I discovered Lana Vawser's word that had been released long after I had gone to bed and it mentioned Jeremiah 3:33.

Ok, now God had my attention.

Derene and I will be flying to Washington, DC just two days from now, for the Inauguration and for the Inaugural Prayer Breakfast and for other things.

This Word is a “WOW!” Because of all of that and it's a “Wow” because of what it prophesies.

"A WORD FOR THE USA, WASHINGTON DC" AND "A RELEASE THAT WILL OCCUR IN THE SPIRIT ON THE DAY – OF PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD TRUMP'S INAUGURATION"

Parts of this word were released to me while in Washington DC over the past few days. Since sitting with the Lord on these keys, the rest of the revelation has flowed. So I felt to release it today.

This is a VERY SIGNIFICANT, STRATEGIC season in the USA right now. What you are about to see God do will leave you in AWE and wonder of His GOODNESS and POWER!

THE ROSES ARE ON FIRE

I kept hearing the words, "THE ROSES ARE ON FIRE." Instantly the sense surrounded me to encourage the people of God to keep their eyes about and on Jesus. Yes, this is a season of exceptional breakthrough for the USA, and many have been thinking, "It's going to all be roses now that Trump is almost in office." It is going to be an INCREDIBLE breakthrough and SIGNIFICANT momentum being released, but in the midst of this glorious BREAKTHROUGH, I saw FIRE IN THE NATION being turned up SEVEN TIMES HOTTER.

I heard Jennifer LeClaire (Editor of Charisma Magazine) share this week at the POTUS SHIELD Conference. The Lord spoke to her that the curse and stronghold of the Jezebellic spirit over the nation had been broken – but it was MORE IMPORTANT than EVER to continue to pray. That confirmed what I had seen in the spirit but also the URGENCY of the hour to continue to pray. 

For there will be fire that the enemy will turn up 7 times hotter and it may "appear" that the "roses" (seeds of breakthrough are burning or going backwards) because of opposition, but it's SMOKE AND MIRRORS. Lift up your eyes HIGHER and DECREE and pray what HE is saying. The WAY OF VICTORY is being MADE in the USA!

The fire of the Lord is about to SIGNIFICANTLY increase. I saw this increase happen in the spirit from the moment that President-Elect Trump is "sworn in" at his inauguration. I saw an acceleration of the fire of God all across the nation and I could hear the Lord saying, "USA BURN, USA BURN. BURN TO COME ALIVE! BURN, USHERING IN THE DIVINE U-TURN, RETURN AND RESET."

The BURN I felt the Lord speaking about was NOT a bad thing. It is the CLEANSING and PURIFYING FIRE of the Lord. I felt the heart of God and the atmosphere being ELECTRIC with JOY at this DEEP work of the Spirit of God and His fire to POSITION the USA to COME ALIVE and to MOVE BACK toward all He is DECREEING. It is a DIVINE RETURN AND RESET.

"I AM GOING TO UPROOT AND GIVE DONALD TRUMP ACCELERATION BOOTS!"

I heard the words, "I am going to UPROOT and I am going to give Donald Trump ACCELERATION boots." I saw the Lord UPROOTING all across the nation. No matter what you see the Lord UPROOT, even if it doesn't make sense to the natural mind, look with the eyes of the spirit, for the Lord is MAKING ROOM for a season of PLENTY! Like in the story of Joseph, there were SEVEN YEARS OF PLENTY, and I felt the Lord saying, as His people have faithfully prayed through the famine, through the wilderness, and through the darkness, "You have stored up in the heavens the seeds of intercession for breakthrough."

In that season, the Lord has been making His people and the USA ready. Now the season of PLENTY and MOMENTOUS BREAKTHROUGH is upon the USA, but the Lord is going to SET THE STAGE and move in ways that are UNPRECEDENTED and UNEXPECTED. Just as Donald Trump was unexpected for many, it's just the beginning; but the FRUIT of BREAKTHROUGH is going to be bigger and greater than many could ever have dreamed (Ephesians 3:20).

As God's people prayed for Mr. Trump, I saw the Lord place ACCELERATION BOOTS upon him. The prayers of God's people and the Spirit of God will come around President Elect-Trump in greater force as he progresses in his Presidential term. More and more ground will be taken and victory demonstrated in such SUDDENLIES that it will look impossible that it could happen so quickly, but it is the anointing of the Lord's acceleration upon Mr Trump. The Lord is doing a very quick work in the USA right now to see His glory come in ways that have never been seen before as healing and freedom come to the land. A mighty, glorious move of His Spirit is upon you!

WASHINGTON DC IS WAKING UP!

The first day I arrived in Washington DC this week, I heard the Lord saying over and over, "WASHINGTON IS WAKING UP. WASHINGTON IS WAKING UP." The sense surrounded me of the importance right now of AGREEING with HIS DECREE!

A few days later, I could hear the sound of angels MARCHING into Washington DC on ASSIGNMENT to bring a great AWAKENING of His power and glory. In their hands they held scrolls, and on the scrolls was written "Psalm 65:5-10," specifically The Passion Translation version:

"You answer our prayers with amazing wonders and with awe-inspiring displays of power. You are the righteous God who helps us like a Father. Everyone everywhere looks to you, for you are the confidence of all the earth, even to the farthest islands of the sea. What jaw-dropping, astounding power is Yours! You are the Mountain-Maker who sets them all in place. You muzzle the roar of the mighty seas and the rage of mobs with their noisy riots. O God, to the farthest corners of the planet, people will stand in awe, startled and stunned by your signs and wonders. Sunrise brilliance and sunset beauty both take turns singing their songs of joy to you. Your visitations of glory bless the earth; the rivers of God overflow and enrich it. You paint the wheat fields golden as you provide rich harvests. Every field is watered with the abundance of rain - showers soaking the earth and softening its clods, causing seeds to sprout."

My spirit was bubbling with excitement at the sense of expectation of what the Lord is about to do. The words boomed in My Spirit, "WATCH AND SEE WHAT I'M ABOUT TO DO."

As I sat with the Lord on this word, I felt the Lord speak to me, "Washington DC WILL EXPERIENCE MIGHTY DIVINE SURPRISES!" Instantly I could see Isaiah 45:2-3 swirling all around in the Spirit:

"I'll go ahead of you, clearing and paving the road. I'll break down bronze city gates, smash padlocks, kick down barred entrances. I'll lead you to buried treasures, secret caches of valuables - confirmations that it is, in fact, I, God, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name." (MSG TRANSLATION)

I saw a MIGHTY move of the Spirit of God in WASHINGTON DC bringing the GREATEST AWAKENING that has EVER been seen. An AWAKENING to the destiny that the Lord has ordained for this city. I could hear His heart, "WASHINGTON DC IS A KEY TO UNLOCKING THE RIPPLE EFFECT OF MOMENTUM IN THE NATION."

As I sat on Isaiah 45:2-3 and pondered it, the Spirit of God was so strong upon me that the atmosphere itself was declaring, "I AM MAKING A WAY! I AM MAKING A WAY! IT IS TIME TO REALLY STAND AND PRAY! I AM MAKING A WAY!"

I then realized the passage the Lord had highlighted to me was the passage the Lord gave Lance Wallnau concerning Donald Trump and that he was a Cyrus, as the 45th President of the United States. I read Matthew Henry's commentary on this passage and it said:

"Cyrus is called God's anointed; he was designed and qualified for his great service by the counsel of God. The gates of Babylon which led to the river were left open the night that Cyrus marched his army into the empty channel. The Lord went before him, giving entrance to the cities he besieged. He gave him also treasures, which had been hidden in secret places. The true God was to Cyrus an unknown God yet God foreknew him; he called him by his name. The exact fulfillment of this must have shown Cyrus that Jehovah was the only true God and that it was for the sake of Israel that he was prospered. In all the changes of states and kingdoms, God works out the good of His Church." (Matthew Henry Commentary - taken from biblehub.com)

GOD IS working for the GOOD of His Church and the USA! I found it no coincidence that the Lord gave me this word about Washington DC waking up just DAYS AWAY from the transition of TRUMP into the White House. I believe the Lord has and is going to use Trump POWERFULLY, but in this season the people of God need eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying and where He is moving, as God is going to move in UNEXPECTED WAYS and PLACES.

VISION OF HEAVENLY TOP SECRET DOCUMENTS

I had a vision of Jesus sitting in a room and there were documents on the table. They were each in folders, and on the front of the folders was Jeremiah 33:3, "'Call to Me and I will answer you. I'll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own." (MSG TRANSLATION)

The sense I had when I saw Jesus sitting at the table was that He was saying, "COME UP HIGHER." There is a call to continue to intercede, to see as He sees, and look above what is going on in the natural. He is calling those who will continue to LAY DOWN THEIR LIVES to CRY OUT for HIS purposes and plans in the nation of the USA.

I then began to see people entering into this room, but the only way they could enter into this room was by lying down and floating, and drinking in the river of the Spirit. It reminded me of a scene from the movie Alice in Wonderland, where she had to drink a special drink to shrink to enter into the house. 

I felt the Lord saying that in a similar way that there must be a level of going low, deep surrender, repentance and drinking in of His Word in intercession, to enter into new realms of revelation and heavenly strategy. 

There must be a "coming before Him and coming up higher" in humility and openness to His Spirit, a laying down of agenda, to hear what He is saying, what He wants to do in the USA, and then AGREE.

As the people of God come before Him in this way, lifting up praise to the One who knows all and works PERFECTLY in ALL His ways, I saw Jesus handing out these folders. They were TOP SECRET, HEAVENLY STRATEGIES, KEYS, AND REVELATIONS of what He is about to do. As these keys and strategies were decreed and prayed through, I watched as issues, strongholds, and territories that had extreme demonic holds, areas of absolute impossibility in the USA, some that had been there for DECADES – they were SUDDENLY BEING OVERTURNED AND DEALT WITH IN A DAY!

Jesus grabbed the hands of His people one by one and He quoted 1 Corinthians 2:16, "Who can know the LORD's thoughts? Who knows enough to teach Him? But we understand these things, for YOU have the mind of Christ." He then quoted Matthew 19:26, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible."

"WATCH AND SEE WHAT I AM ABOUT TO DO, IT'S SOMETHING SO GLORIOUS AND COMPLETELY NEW!"
