This Revelation Breaks Spiritual Attacks That Come Against You Daily

JOYCE MEYER  CHARISMA NEWS
Romans 8:37 says that Christians are "more than conquerors" in this world. But do we really know what it means to be more than a conqueror? I know it took many years for me to learn how to live the victorious life Jesus died to give us as believers.
There were many years when I went to church faithfully every week, yet my private life was pathetic. It was so frustrating because I really loved God and was a born-again believer, but I wasn't experiencing victory over the problems in my life so that I could really live for God and help people.
But as I grew in my personal relationship with Christ and spent time studying the Word, I came to understand what it means to be more than a conqueror and how I could get there. And if I can do it, so can you!
To be more than a conqueror means that before you ever get a problem, you already know that whatever problem comes your way, you can overcome it through Christ. You live with confidence that God loves you no matter what and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
When you have this kind of relationship with Christ, you aren't constantly afraid of bad news or of things that may happen that aren't in your plan. When the unexpected happens or you're disappointed, you won't be devastated by it.
See, when you get a revelation of who you are in Christ, you know that with Christ on the inside of you, there is nothing that can happen that's more than you are because there's nothing that's too much for Him! First John 4:4 (ESV) confirms it: "Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."
It's so important for us to get this truth down in our hearts and see ourselves as more than conquerors through Christ Jesus because if we don't, then our enemy, Satan, will be able to confuse us and keep us from victory. And all the enemy wants to do is kill, steal and destroy what God wants us to have (see John 10:10). He wants to diminish you—make you small-minded and small in spirit so you'll live a small, frustrated life.
But we don't have to live that way. Every person who confesses that Christ Jesus is Lord, repents of their sin and gives their heart to God is a child of God and belongs to Him. In Christ, we are made right with God, we are His righteousness, and we have the power of Christ in us to live right (2 Cor. 5:17, 21; Phil. 4:13).
Do you realize what this means? It means that as we spend time with God in prayer and studying the Bible, we can access the wisdom and strength we need to make right choices and behave right. It doesn't happen all at once or overnight, but we will make progress every day that we seek God this way.
I really want you to get this revelation of who you are in Christ as a born-again believer so you won't be frustrated or discouraged or feel like you're always under attack and just trying to get through the day. God has more for us than that!
When you make a mistake and the devil comes and tells you, "You're no good," you don't have to take on the guilt and condemnation he wants to put on you. No! You can immediately confess your mistake to God, thank Him for forgiving you and cleansing you with the blood of Jesus and move forward in the victory of His grace and forgiveness.
God loves you so much! And He wants you to abide (live in) His love so you will always be confident that He is with you and He is for you. As 1 John 4:17b says, "as he is so also are we in this world." That's the life you have in Christ!
Take time to study Scriptures that show you who God really is. Get a deeper understanding of His character and His heart for you. Spend time with Him, read His Word and let Him love you.
Know that He loves you unconditionally. He is good. He wants to bless you and help you. When you really have a revelation of this truth, you won't be tormented by doubts about whether God cares or whether He will take care of you.
Whatever your situation is today, God knows about it. He sees you and hears the cry of your heart. If you will give Him your problems and do what He tells you to do, you will access His overcoming love, grace and power and be more than a conqueror. Because in Christ, as He is, so are we in this world!

This Commonplace Sin Can Destroy Your Relationship With God - JOYCE MEYER CHARISMA NEWS

This Commonplace Sin Can Destroy Your Relationship With God

JOYCE MEYER  CHARISMA NEWS
Complaining is dangerous business. It can damage or even destroy your relationship with God, your relationships with other people and even your relationship with yourself.
It's easy to complain. We likely don't realize how much we do it, and I believe it's one of the most challenging things to overcome.
Philippians 2:14 (NKJV) says, "Do all things without murmuring and disputing." That's a pretty clear command. And not something anyone can do in their own strength.
Think about what you're talking about.
It's important to understand that every word you speak has some kind of effect. Proverbs 18:21 says that our words have the power of life or death in them. In other words, the way we speak really does matter. So it makes sense that we should avoid complaining at all cost.
I think of complaining as the enemy's language. When we do it, we open the door for him to come into a situation and cause trouble. On the other hand, praise and thanksgiving is God's language.
Like I said before, it's easy to complain. There are many things that happen every day that we could murmur about if we let ourselves go there. But they really aren't worth the effort it takes to get upset and gripe about it.
For example, we travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels. I like to take a hot bath to relax before speaking at our conferences. Once when I went to fix my bath, I discovered there was no hot water. So I called the front desk to see about getting hot water, but they weren't able to fix the problem when I needed them to. And later, I learned that my room was the only room in the hotel that didn't have hot water!
Now, I could have gotten all upset about this at the time. But God helped me to relax and resist the temptation to get upset. And the truth is, complaining wouldn't have changed anything—it would have just made the situation harder.
Check the attitude of your heart.
Complaining comes from an ungrateful, prideful attitude of the heart. It causes us to feel that we shouldn't be inconvenienced or have bad things happen to us.
It's easy for us to think, Why are you making such a big deal out of it? when someone else is inconvenienced or struggling. But when we have to deal with the pain ourselves, it's a different story. That's when we say, "Why is this happening to me?"
Many people in the Western world are spoiled by the conveniences of our culture. We're used to instant gratification, getting what we want when we want it. We don't like discomfort or sacrifice. We don't want anything to be hard. This causes us to have an immature, selfish perspective of difficult situations and say things we shouldn't say.
I've learned that there's a better approach: Look for the treasure in every trial.
The truth is, I've done most of my spiritual growing during the hardest and most painful times of my life. The trials of life have caused me to press in to God. And as I've done that, He's changed me. He's helped me to develop an attitude of gratitude and humility, which has brought real freedom into my life.
What's real freedom? Real freedom is being able to not have my way and still be just as happy as if I did.
Trust God throughout the process.
It's a difficult process getting to the point of having real freedom. But whatever it takes to get there, it's worth it! We just need to accept that gaining spiritual maturity is going to hurt. Growing up in God is not comfortable, and there are times that sacrifice is required. There will be times when God will ask you to do things and you'll feel that you just don't have the strength to do them—but whatever God tells us to do, He always gives us the grace to do it!
Something else that helps me is meditating on Scriptures about watching the words of my mouth. I like to pray Psalm 19:14a (NKJV): "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord." There are many more, and I encourage you to find them and pray them over yourself often. Daily is a good idea!
Make it your goal to have a constant attitude of gratitude. Resist the temptation to complain and instead praise and thank God for who He is and all He's done for you. By God's grace and through His strength, you can overcome complaining and live each day with a thankful heart!

Joyce Meyer Reveals the Key to Seeing God Move Supernaturally in Your Life Again

JOYCE MEYER  CHARISMA NEWS
I used to be one of the most negative people I knew. My motto was, "If I don't expect anything good to happen, then I won't be disappointed when it doesn't."
However, God's way of seeing things is just the opposite! He wants us to live our lives filled with hope, expecting Him to do something great at any moment.
What is hope? One definition of " hope"  is "a favorable and confident expectation."
It's a positive attitude and the happy anticipation that something good is going to happen.
Real hope is not a wishy-washy, vague "let's just wait and see what happens" attitude, but it's believing and trusting that what God promised, He will do. God is just looking for opportunities to be good to His children and He wants us to expect and look forward to it.
The Bible says that hope is the anchor of our soul (see Heb. 6:19). When things look dark and we don't have an answer, that's when hope kicks in to remind us that our new beginning is right around the corner.
For instance, when it looks like everybody else is getting blessed and we're tired and feel like giving up, it's hope that steadies our heart and helps us hold on to our faith in God's promise.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:8, hope is described as a helmet. So, what we think must be pretty important. Our attitude and what we're expecting has everything to do with what we're thinking and saying!
I encourage you to take control of your thoughts and words first thing every morning. When you wake up in the morning, don't settle for thoughts like, Well, I guess I'll try to make it through another day.
Instead, anticipate good things from God. Think and declare things like:
"God, thank You for this day! I know that You love me and You have a good plan for me today. Apart from You, I can do nothing, but in Christ, I can do whatever I need to do. And with Your help, I am going to have a good attitude and positive thoughts."
Then expect your breakthrough and new beginning. Say, "Today could be the day!"
It's important to realize that we can't live by how we feel if we want to have a positive, hope-filled life. When negative feelings come, if we don't give in to them and feed them, they will die.
So, don't allow yourself to get caught in the trap of waiting to feel hopeful, but instead, decide to be full of hope. When you make a conscious decision to think positive, faith-filled thoughts throughout the day, your feelings will eventually catch up with your decision.
God's Just Waiting to Amaze You
Several years ago, I asked the Lord, "Why don't I have exciting, special things happen in my life anymore?"
God spoke to my heart and said, "Joyce, I still do those things all the time. You have just gotten used to it."
You see, God wants us to live amazed by His goodness in our lives...to actively take notice of the truly wonderful things He does for us. Why? Because when we live amazed, we will never be without hope! Let's look at the story of Abraham.
God had blessed Abraham abundantly. However, there was one thing that he and his wife, Sarah, didn't have—a child. Abraham said, "'Lord God, what reward will You give me, since I am [leaving this world] childless...?'
"And the Lord brought Abram outside [his tent into the night] and said, 'Look now toward the heavens and count the stars—if you are able to count them. Then He said to him, 'So [numerous] shall your descendants be'" (Genesis 15:2, 5 AMP).
Although Abraham's circumstances looked hopeless, the Lord brought him out of his tent to amaze him and remind him that He can do the impossible.
I believe we can spend too much time "in our tent," looking at our own problems. That's why the Bible says to look away from all that will distract unto Jesus, the Author and finisher of our faith (see Heb. 12:2).
Every time we decide to pray, read God's Word or simply dwell on the great things He has done for us in the past,  it produces hope. And, like Abraham, we soon begin thinking, Wow, maybe He can do this for me!
When times are tough and you feel discouraged, it's time to step outside the tent and see what God has to say. When you do, you'll find that He is just waiting to amaze you.

CBN's Pat and Gordon Robertson, David Brody, Named Among Most Influential Evangelicals in America - CBN News

CBN's Pat and Gordon Robertson, David Brody, Named Among Most Influential Evangelicals in America
CBN News 11-18-2017

On Saturday, Newsmax.com released its top 100 picks for the most influential evangelicals in America today.
The conservative website pointed out that the evangelicals on their list come from many different Christian denominations, but they all have a common belief in the holiness of scripture and the centrality of faith in Jesus Christ for their lives.
The list includes the vice president of the U.S., actors, authors, pastors, TV reality stars, evangelists, Hollywood producers and ministry leaders.
Pat Robertson, the founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network and the host of CBN's The 700 Club was named number 5 on the list. He also founded the International Family Entertainment Inc. (ABC Family Channel, now Freeform), and the American Center for Law and Justice, among other organizations, and is an important voice for conservative Christianity in the United States.
Gordon Robertson, the chief executive officer of CBN, and son of Pat Robertson was listed at number 15. Robertson often hosts The 700 Club as a fill-in for his father when needed. He's also an executive producer for the show and produces the CBN children's animated series Superbook.
CBN News' Chief Political Correspondent David Brody was recognized at number 27 on the list.  Brody's book on President Trump's spirituality is getting ready to go to press. He also launched the political talk show Faith Nation seen on Facebook Live Wednesdays from CBN's Washington bureau. He's often a regular guest on other news networks  called on to talk about faith and politics.
Listed as the top two American evangelical influencers were Billy Graham and his son, Franklin.  Although the elder Graham has slowed down in his active ministry, Newsmax reports, he's built his legacy as America's greatest preacher. He will turn 100 next year.
Following in his father's footsteps, Franklin Graham founded his own influential ministry, Samaritan's Purse, and preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ to millions through the ministry and his own evangelism rallies.
Vice President Mike Pence, the former Indiana governor, was named at number 9 on the list. Political analysts have said he was chosen by President Trump to be his running mate because of his traditional Christian conservatism.
Also making the list at number 51 was Phil Robertson, TV reality star and the head of the Robertson family.  His Duck Commander company was the subject of the hit TV series Duck Dynasty. Robertson serves as an elder at the White's Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, Louisiana. He has been very outspoken about his faith in the media.
Tim Tebow also made the list at number 56. Tebow, the former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback, now plays in the outfield for a New York Mets minor league baseball team. He took a lot of hits in his professional football career because of his bold stand for his Christian faith. He has also written several books and supported organizations like Cure International.
Other notable evangelicals named to the list include Stephen Curtis Chapman, Andy Crouch, Rick Warren, Beth Moore and actor Kirk Cameron.

Joyce Meyer Reveals the Key to Genuine Soul Healing - CHARISMA NEWS

There is hope because Jesus can heal us everywhere we hurt! (Max Pixel/Public Domain)
CHARISMA NEWS
Jesus came to earth to show us the love of God, and to give His life so we could have eternal life. He was perfect—sinless—and He willingly took our sin upon Himself on the cross to pay the price for our salvation. God's love for us is so amazing!
Isaiah 61:1-3 (NIV) says Jesus came "to proclaim good news to the poor ... to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners ... to comfort all who mourn ... to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."
And Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Jesus wants to heal our wounded souls, give us His joy, and work through our lives to help others discover same restoration and hope that we have!
My Story
I've had a lot of experience in this area. I used to be such a mess on the inside—in my soul. The pain of years of abuse caused me to become a miserable, bitter, angry, emotionally unstable woman. I didn't trust anyone and I believed I had to take care of myself because nobody else would. I was afraid if anyone really knew me—the real me—they wouldn't like me or accept me.
For years I lived this way, and I didn't understand why. But when I got serious about my relationship with God and started really studying His Word, I discovered His amazing love and how I needed Him to heal my wounded soul.
Once I had this revelation, I made a decision that I was going to go all the way through the healing process with God, and I refused to live with the pain, secrets and regrets from my past. By God's grace, I have experienced healing and wholeness in my soul in many ways. And now I am passionate about sharing my story and helping others find the love, healing and hope they need so they don't live trapped in pain from their past.
Everyone Has a Story
We all go through hard things in this life, and we all experience wounds in our soul. Those wounds cause pain that can then cause us to hurt others. I like to say it like this: Hurting people hurt people.
Your soul is the inner part of you—your mind, will and emotions. And the condition of your soul is felt by those who are in relationship with you.
Maybe you struggle to have healthy relationships because of fear of rejection and insecurity based on past disappointments or betrayals of your trust. Or you may be angry and have bitterness and unforgiveness in your heart because of what someone has done to you. There are many reasons people have wounds in their soul.
Living with this kind of pain makes a person unstable emotionally and hard to get along with. I remember when Dave and I were first married and I was like this. I'm speaking from experience when I say there is nothing worse than being controlled by your feelings, angry and unhappy when things don't go your way.
But there is hope because Jesus can heal us everywhere we hurt! And God's Word contains the power to save our souls.
The Key to Genuine Soul-Healing
James 1:21 (AMP) says, "So get rid of all uncleanness and all that remains of wickedness, and with a humble spirit receive the word [of God] which is implanted [actually rooted in your heart], which is able to save your souls."
Through a serious commitment to study God's Word and spend time with Him every day in prayer, God has radically changed my life. My mind has been renewed by God's truth (Rom. 12:2), and I don't live by my feelings anymore. My will has also been transformed; I can actually want what God wants now more than what I want.
It took time for me to get a major breakthrough in this area, and it wasn't easy. But being healed and having real peace, joy and love in my heart are so much better than living with pain of a wounded soul.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is let God heal you on the inside and restore the brokenness in your life. Then you can be example of God's amazing love and grace, helping them see that if He can do it for you, He can do it for them, too.
The truth is you don't have to stay broken, living in self-pity, hating yourself, burdened by regret, shame or fear every day of your life. I promise that if you will make a determined decision to trust God and believe His Word more than anything else—more than your thoughts, past experience, feelings or what others say—then you will experience healing in your soul.
