Emmanuel is another grand favorite of mine to listen to often, and sing, during the Christmas season. Once again beautiful words declared in song, telling us of the Messiah's coming the first time, Jesus/Yeshua, when God became flesh and dwelt among us the first time. Emmanu-EL - God with us.
As we await with open eyes and hearts His soon return, rejoice in the salvation, mercy, grace and love He so freely gives to us, and all who call upon His glorious Name.
And again thank you, Amy and Michael! Job well done!
Amy Grant - what can I say? For several decades she has blessed us with her beautiful, contemporary Christian music. From her beginning as a young teenager singer at Belmont Church in Nashville, Tenessee, with Michael W. Smith, she has given the world the love of Jesus to share.
Thank you, Amy, for all the worshipful and uplifting songs you have brought us. Thank you especially for this song, Emmanuel God With Us. It is truly one of my all-time favorites, not only during the Christmas season but throughout the year.

As we see the Living God of Israel regather His people, the Jews, back to the Promised Land of Yisrael (Israel), we can stand and watch in amazement, and join along with others into what He is doing.
As Christians, standing on the truth of the Bible (Torah, Prophets and all), we bless our friends the Jews, and pray, provide, and join alongside them as they return in aliyah (immigrate) to the Land given to them, since the days of Abraham.

About Aaron Shust
A contemporary Christian singer and songwriter, Aaron Shust grew up in Pennsylvania but became a true musician in Georgia, where he studied music theory. His first album, Anything Worth Saying, was recorded in 2004, which landed him a deal with the Brash Music label soon thereafter. The album would end up becoming the fifth best-selling praise & worship record in 2006, and produced a genre radio hit with the single "My Savior My God." The song would go on to hit the top spot on a number of charts, eventually scoring Shust a Dove Award for Best Song. His second album, Whispered and Shouted, was released in the summer of 2007 to impressive sales, and featured the hit single "Give Me Words to Speak." Released in 2009, the full-length Take Over was followed by the Christmas EP, and 2011's This Is What We Believe included the number one hit "My Hope Is in You." In 2013 Shust released his fifth studio long-player, the Ed Cash-produced Morning Rises, and in 2014 he issued his first full-length holiday outing, Unto Us. Classic music (anything over 10 years old now in my mind) is always great to go back to and listen once again. I remember those decades from the year 1987 through 2005 or so when I received monthly the Integrity Music Hosanna Music! CDs. (But first, they had come as a cassette. Remember those?) I still have ALL the cassettes and the CDs. Just a collector of good, powerful, worship music at heart!
Lenny LeBlanc had several releases through the Integrity subscription. (Thanks again Michael Coleman and Don Moen for your great work in producing all of them!)
Above All, after listening to it now again (back then 37 times, or at least that count), has more beautiful songs than I remembered, as I listened to it again today. Maybe even more so than when it first came out in 1999.
