Push Is On for More Embassies to Move to Jerusalem

Just three weeks after US President Donald Trump announced his decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and begin preparations to move the US Embassy there, more than 10 countries are considering the same move.
Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely told Israel Radio the talks are taking place, though she declined to specify the countries.
"I can only say that there are more than 10 countries," Israel Hayomquoted her as saying. "We, at the Foreign Ministry, are working intelligently with each one. Every country has a different background."
"There are plenty more countries in the works," she continued. "I know this because the Foreign Ministry is currently in the middle of important and meaningful efforts with these countries, some of which are European."
Guatemala, with its strong evangelical population, is the first country to follow suit.
"I spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. We discussed the excellent relations between the countries since Guatemala's support for the establishment of Israel. One of the most relevant subjects was the return of the embassy of Guatemala to Jerusalem. I have instructed the foreign minister to begin coordinating the implementation of the move. G-d bless you," said evangelical Christian and Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales, the Government Press Office reported.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Morales for the decision.

"Last night I spoke with my friend, Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales. I thanked him for Guatemala's support for us in the UN [General Assembly] vote and I expressed my hope that he would follow in the footsteps of US President Donald Trump, recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and begin to move the embassy to it," Netanyahu told Israeli parliamentarians at the Knesset Monday.
In related news, the Jerusalem-based Friends of Zion Heritage Centerannounced a global campaign to encourage other countries to move their embassies to Jerusalem.
The ministry kicked off its campaign with a colorful banner in Jerusalem thanking the US and Guatemalan presidents for their support of Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state.
Evangelical leader and author Dr. Mike Evans called  it a "must see site in Jerusalem."
Earlier this month, Evans presented the Friends of Zion award to President Trump in a ceremony in the Oval Office attended by faith leaders representing more than 150 million Christians worldwide.
"The Friends of Zion Heritage Center has become one of the central institutions in the State of Israel influencing the world and strengthening Israel's relations globally while fortifying the pillars of the State of Israel," FOZ said in a statement.

U.S. Embassy Move to Jerusalem Could 'Open the Gates of Hell' - SHAWN A. AKERS CHARISMA NEWS

U.S. Embassy Move to Jerusalem Could 'Open the Gates of Hell'

Standing With Israel
President Donald Trump's opposition for moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem isn't simply limited to Palestinians and factions within the United States government. The notion has awakened an old enemy who sees the potential move as a prelude to war, World News Daily has reported.
WND reports that Iraqi cleric Motqtada al-Sadr, instrumental in forming militia against U.S.-led coalition forces in Iraq, is calling for "the formation of a special division to liberate Jerusalem were the decision to be implemented."
Sadr said Tuesday in a statement, "Transferring the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem would be a public and more-explicit-than-ever declaration of war against Islam."
Palestinians hold East Jerusalem sacred as the third holiest city in Islam. It is also viewed as the future capital of a Palestinian state.
Sadr also called for the immediate closure of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, and said in his statement that the Arab League as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the world's main pan-Islamic body, should "take a decisive stand on the issue or disband."
WND reported that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has said that if the U.S. Embassy moves, he could "revoke the PLO's recognition of Israel" and that his Fatah Party, formerly led by Yasser Arafat, would "open the gates of hell."
The U.S. Embassy in Israel has always been in Tel Aviv despite the fact that the Jerusalem Embassy Act, passed by the Senate and House by wide margins in 1995, declared "Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of the State of Israel," and the U.S. Embassy should be established there "no later than May 31, 1999."
Since then, WND reports, every U.S. president—Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama—has signed a waiver every six months, citing "national security concerns." The U.S. has aligned itself with the United Nations policy that does not recognize Israel's annexation of East Jerusalem after the city's capture in the Six-Day War in 1967.
Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem is completely forbidden by Israeli law. Jews may enter only to visit and only at limited times. Muslims are free to pray on the Temple Mount, while Christians and Jews may only visit the site as tourists, forbidden to sing, pray or make any kind of religious display.
Trump's Mission in Israel
Attempting to rebuild a damaged U.S. relationship with Israel that occurred under the Obama administration, Trump vowed during his presidential campaign to move the embassy to Jerusalem "very quickly" after his election. In its first week in office, the Trump administration announced it would be making the move. But, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters earlier this week that no decision had been made.
Caroline Glick, a former assistant foreign policy adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, wrote on carolineglick.com that "there is no single step the U.S. can take that will do more to rebuild U.S. credibility as an ally than moving the embassy to Jerusalem. By taking the step that none of his predecessors would take to stand in support of the U.S.'s most embattled ally worldwide, Trump will show that America can again be trusted."
The Jerusalem Post reported this week that Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat is behind the Trump administration all the way. "Trump has proven that he is a true friend of the state of Israel and keeps his promises," Barkat said in a statement.

Glenn Beck Instructs Staff to Prepare for End-of-Days Move to Jerusalem

“But go thou thy way till the end be; and thou shalt rest, and shalt stand up to thy lot, at the end of the days.’” (Daniel 12:13)
Glenn Beck, the popular TV and radio personality, announced on his television show “The Blaze” last Thursday that his studio’s next location may be Jerusalem. He said that, due to a conviction that the end-of-days is imminent, his show would need to find a place outside the United States from which to broadcast when its current location, Texas, inevitably became inhospitable.
He related how he had recently instructed his staff, “We have to pick up our pace on finding another place to broadcast.” Beck told them, “I need to know if I can get to Jerusalem, where they won’t shut this down and we can be able to broadcast into the United States. This could end quickly.”
He said that when his young daughter, who was in the room, heard him propose the move to the Holy Land, she was a bit shocked. Beck tried to reassure her by saying, “Jerusalem is a suburb, next to Fort Worth.” Nonetheless, he said he did not regret her overhearing, as the burden of repairing the damaged world would fall on the next generation. “[The kids] are the giants that are going to fix this. They have to know,” he said.

The startling announcement came after a question from a woman in Beck’s studio audience. The woman had relocated from California to Texas in response to Beck’s dire warnings of social collapse. Beck’s announcement comes as a result of his conviction that we are nearing the end of days, and many of his listeners have taken his warnings seriously and relocated. He maintains his claims, saying he has been advised by several experts that social and economic conditions are on the verge of failing.
Beck is a strong supporter of Senator Ted Cruz in his bid for the Republican nomination, purportedly because of his end-of-days convictions.
His desire to move operations to Jerusalem doesn’t come from a hypothetical concept of the Biblical city; he is an active supporter of Israel and her capital.  In 2011, he headlined his “Restoring the Courage” events in Jerusalem, at which he encouraged more than 1,000 of his supporters to “Stand with the Jewish people”. Apparently, the feeling is mutual as that year, Beck received the first Zionist Organization of America’s “Defender of Israel Award”.
