Sojourn in this Land and I will be with you and bless you; for unto you and your offspring will I give all these lands, and establish the oath that I swore to Abraham

Today's Israel Inspiration

Isaac is warned that despite the famine in the Land of Israel, he is not to escape the tough economic times by going down to Egypt. Though Abraham went down to Egypt when there was a plague in Israel and Jacob likewise descended to Egypt towards the end of his life, God told Isaac not to leave the Land. Due to his unique spiritual status, Isaac remained the only forefather to have never stepped foot outside of the Holy Land. Learn about Israel in its original Biblical context and understand more about the Holy Land than you ever imagined with our new box-set of the 5 Books of Moses.

The Letters of Jonathan Netanyahu

On July 4, 1976, a team of Israeli commandos stormed Entebbe airport. Their leader was thirty-year-old Lieutenant-Colonel Jonathan (Yoni) Netanyahu, brother of Israel's current Prime Minister. Their mission was to free 106 hostages held by international terrorists. An hour later, the hostages were safely on their way home, and Yoni had fallen in the battle for their lives. His legend was born that day. This book, containing his eloquent, passionate, revealing letters, gives a glimpse into the mind of a modern-day Israeli warrior and honors his sacrifice for the Land of Israel.

A glorious photo of Tel Aviv by Noam Chen. The city's name has a rich Hebrew meaning. "Tel" means an archaeological mound with layers of civilization below it, while "Aviv" means springtime and alludes to new and fresh vitality.

Reviving Ancient Biblical Practices ✡ "A Thread of Blue"

Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them throughout their generations fringes in the corners of their garments, and that they put with the fringe of each corner a thread of blue.

Jerusalem Inspiration

The Biblical blue color of 'tekhelet' is mentioned numerous times in the Bible. The color, worn on the corners of the four-cornered garment known as the 'tallit,' is meant to remind us of the sky, and, by extension, God and His constant presence in our lives. Yet for close to 1500 years, the source of this special blue dye had been lost to the world. In an exciting discovery, marine biologists, together with Talmudic researchers, identified the source of 'tekhelet' as a small snail found off the coast of Israel near Haifa. Today, people are wearing 'tekhelet' on their 'tzitzit' for the first time in centuries.  From even the smallest sea creature we continue to see the Bible come to life in Israel. "To Shiloh" ✡ Israeli Song against Terror

And she [Hannah] brought him to the house of the Lord, to Shiloh, and the child was young.

Today's Israel Inspiration

When Hannah and her husband Elkanah made their pilgrimages to Shiloh where the Tabernacle once stood, they took different routes each time so as to encourage others to join them in serving God. In this way, the righteous pair guided and encouraged the Children of Israel. "Meir Panim" (Hebrew for "lighting up faces") is also taking a different route this summer, going beyond its traditional food programs to help needy children. With highly subsidized day camps, Meir Panim gets children off the street and into safe and nurturing camp programs for the long summer days.

Biblical Greeting Cards Will Touch Your Heart ✡ "They Will Buy Fields"

For so says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be purchased again in this land.

JEREMIAH (32:15)

kee ko a-mar a-do-nai tz'-va-ot e-lo-hai yis-ra-ayl od yi-ka-nu ba-teem v'-sa-dot u-kh'-ra-meem ba-a-retz ha-zot

Today's Israel Inspiration

As the Babylonian army surrounds Jerusalem, Jeremiah receives a truly confusing instruction from God. He is told to purchase a piece of the Land, though the Jewish people are on the verge of exile! This signified God's promise that He will never forget His people, and they will yet return to their Land. This summer marks ten long and painful years since the Israeli towns of Gush Katif and others were handed over to the Palestinians in Israel's tremendous quest for peace. Over 8,000 Jewish residents were evacuated from their beloved homes, made even more tragic as most had nowhere to go. A former Gush Katif resident, Tina Nagar, turned her beautiful photography into a set of greeting cards. The photos commemorate her lost garden, and represent her hope to return to her home.
