CLINT FAMILY UPDATE - Northern Ireland, September 2018

Shalom friends. August had been another busy month. The humanitarian aid collections for needy Olim (Jewish people returning to Israel) has increased a lot. We are now well on our way to filling a second container to ship out to Israel.

ATHLONE AID COLLECTION

In the first week in August I travelled to River of Life Church in Athlone, Ireland to pick up a full van load of aid. A special thank you to Pastor “T” and all at River of Life for collecting items to bless the Jewish people.

A BLESSING FROM KILKENNY AND TRALEE

In mid-August we were blessed by a Christian couple from Kilkenny, Ireland. They arrived up to Northern Ireland with another full van load of aid for Israel. Please pray for those Christians in Southern Ireland who love and support the Jewish people.

DROGHEDA MEETING

I returned to speak at Drogheda Community Church in Southern Ireland to share about Ezra’s work amongst the Jewish people. I also gave a message from Mark chapter 5.

BANGOR WORLDWIDE CONVENTION

From the 27th to the 30th of August I took part in the Bangor Worldwide Convention. The convention attracts thousands of people interested in supporting various Christian ministries. I had the opportunity to share about Ezra’s work with many people.

Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass

The LORD is indeed faithful to those whom He’s called to serve Him. We can say that without any shadow of a doubt. As many of you know we collect humanitarian aid to send out to needy Jewish families making Aliyah from Russia. The amount of aid we’ve collected recently has shown us The LORD’s faithfulness towards His people Israel. 

Recently we’ve had a lot of aid arrive from Southern Ireland, people from as far away as Tralee on the south western tip of Ireland have donated second-hand clothing to bless the Jewish people. Help for Jewish families has also arrived from Kilkenny, Athlone, and Drogheda. Until now I’ve been collecting the aid in my own car. Please pray that we might obtain a van to collect larger loads.

It’s ironic that the Irish government has recently voted to boycott Israeli products from Judah and Samaria, and yet we have small pockets of Irish Christians collecting aid for the Jewish people. Please pray for us as we share about both Ezra UK’s Aliyah work, and the Aid to Israel program here in Ireland.

Bangor Worldwide Convention

From August 27-31  I’ll represent Ezra UK at the annual ‘Worldwide Convention’ in Bangor Co Down Northern Ireland. Around 70 Christian organizations will be represented at the week-long convention. The event draws thousands of Christians interested in supporting various Christian ministries. Pray that the LORD will use our team to inform Christians of the need to support the Aliyah of the Jewish people home to Israel. Pray also for good conversations with those who don’t really understand the LORD’s promises to His people Israel.

This last month has been a testing and emotional month for all of us. Some of you know that my mother has been suffering from Alzheimer’s for a number of years. Her battle with that terrible disease ended on Monday 11^th June at 6.50am. She passed peacefully into the hands of Yeshua her Saviour with my two brothers and I at her side. My mother prayed for and loved the Jewish people. Throughout the years some of my Israeli friends would stay at my mother's while visiting Northern Ireland. She will be sadly missed.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalm 116:15

BANGOR WORLDWIDE CONVENTION

For the second year running I’ll represent Ezra UK at the Bangor Worldwide Convention (Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church). The event is attended by over 70 ministry organisations. Ezra UK will have a stall at the Global Village event from 27^th to 31^st August, from 6pm-9pm.

AID TO ISRAEL CONTAINER

We praise the LORD that we have now made ready the first second-hand clothing container to be shipped from “Belfast” Northern Ireland to “Haifa” Israel. We were able to load around 400 boxes of clothing plus duvets and pillows. We would like to thank all those who have donated clothing and other items to help needy Jewish families making Aliyah to Israel. Please pray that the container will arrive safely. We are already collecting for a second container to send out. 

KILKENNY CONVENTION

    

We praise the LORD for being able to share about Ezra’s work at a Christian conference in Kilkenny Ireland. Please pray for Irish Christians who continue to make their stand for the Jewish people.

HELP WITH NEW BOXES FOR PACKING AID

A local Christian assembly in the Ards Peninsula County Down Northern Ireland has helped us to purchase brand new cardboard boxes for packing the aid we send to Israel. We are indebted to such groups and individuals who have contributed to helping Jewish people making Aliyah to Israel.

Ezra Northern Ireland Update

Shalom friends. So far this month we’ve been very busy with the work here in Northern Ireland. A steady flow of humanitarian aid has come in for needy Russian Jews making Aliyah to Israel. I’ve been in contact with the company we want to ship out our container from Northern Ireland to Israel. Christians from two local fellowships have been collecting aid for us for the last six months, two dedicated woman’s groups have also been knitting items of clothing for babies and children.

Please pray for the contacts I’ve made in southern Ireland. The LORD has been opening up speaking opportunities in the south of Ireland. Pray that church leaders will have a hunger for learning about the end times re-gathering of the Jewish people to Israel.

Meeting with Belfast’s Rabbi

Recently I was privileged to meet with Rabbi Singer of Belfast Jewish Community. I was able to share about Ezra’s work helping poverty stricken Jewish people home to Israel. We also spoke about the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe and the need for Jewish communities to return home.

AID TO ISRAEL PROGRAM

We praise the LORD for His faithfulness. We’ve been very busy recently, especially with the Aid to Israel program collection of second hand clothing for needy Jewish immigrants arriving to Israel. Paul makes it very clear in Romans 15;27 that the non-Jewish believers in Yeshua the Messiah have received spiritual blessings from the Jewish people, namely our salvation. Paul goes on to say that non-Jews ought to bless the Jewish people with material blessings! 

The Aid to Israel program seeks to bless poverty stricken Jewish immigrants with their material needs upon arriving to Israel. Please keep these dear folks in your prayers, pray also for us as we will be used for the LORD’s glory in these days. Pray also for the provision of better suited vehicle for picking up aid.

NEW CONGREGATION

The LORD has laid it upon my heart to form a congregation dedicated to teaching the Word of God, and encouraging believers to stand with Israel and the Jewish people. I founded Tree of Life Congregation here in Northern Ireland in early December 2017. 

We are committed to supporting Jewish Aliyah from the countries of the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and other nations where needy Jewish people need help. As we see a rise in antisemitism all over the word there’s an urgent need to help needy Jewish people home, helping them materially. We are one of the few congregations in the UK & Ireland which openly support Jewish Aliyah. So here we are into another year. We praise the LORD for His faithfulness through 2017. As we look back at 2017 we can see the need to share with Christians of need to support the Aliyah of the Jewish people home to Israel. All over the world we can see a dramatic rise in antisemitism, worrying times ahead for the Jewish people.

Aid to Israel Program. The Aid to Israel program has been picking up pace. We are thankful for all those who have donated second hand clothing to help needy Jewish immigrants arriving to Israel from Russia. I’m reminded of Yeshua’s words in Matthew 25:40 Amen, I tell you, whatever you did to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me. There’s a blessing for every believer who makes a stand for the Jewish people in a practical way. Please keep the Aid to Israel program in your prayers.

Tree of Life Fellowship. This month I founded Tree of Life fellowship. Tree of Life is committed to giving financial support to Jewish people making Aliyah to Israel, plus teaching believers the Jewishness of the Christian faith. Shalom friends.

Firstly I’d like to thank all those who’ve been praying for us over this last month. The LORD has been keeping us busy here in Northern Ireland as we endeavour to support Jewish Aliyah. In mid-September we were blessed to have “D” an Ezra field representative visit us for a series of talks about her ministry. “D” is helping Jews to make Aliyah from countries where they face increasing hatred, please keep “D” in prayer.  

The Aid to Israel program is most certainly gathering pace. We’ve been in contact with many people who want to donate second-hand clothing to help needy Jewish immigrants arriving in Israel. I’ve been traveling to various locations to pick up aid, please pray for traveling mercies.

This month I represented Ezra UK at the Bangor-Israel convention in the town of Bangor County Down. I had many conversations with Christians from all over Ireland about the need to support Aliyah in these crucial times.

I’ve been sharing at different Christian church groups this month. I traveled to the town of Garvagh in County Londonderry to speak at the “Garvagh Gospel Extravaganza” I was encouraged to see how many dear folks are praying for the return of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland of Israel.

Greetings from our family to you who love Israel and the Jewish people,

We continue to praise the LORD for His faithfulness. Over this last few weeks the "2nd hand clothing to Israel" program has steadily picked up pace. We've really been encouraged to see how Christians on the island of Ireland are beginning to stand with the Jewish people. 

Recently I made a 350 mile round trip to River of Life fellowship in the city of Athlone in the Republic of Ireland. I was able to share about Ezra UK's Aliyah work in Eastern Europe and the FSU countries. I was blessed to have spent time with pastor Trevor Hill and his wife Diane. It's encouraging how the LORD is opening up speaking opportunities in southern Ireland at this time.

This coming week we'll have Ezra's Turkish representative visit Northern Ireland. Please pray that the LORD will use her to touch the hearts of all who listen to her. Turkey is quickly becoming a dangerous country for the remaining Jewish who live there, pray that they will make it home to Israel soon.  

With the Lord's help, we are helping Jews make aliyah to Israel. Please join us in prayer and support.
