Best Hatikva We've Ever Heard ✡ "For a Tree has Hope" - ISRAEL365

For a tree has hope; if it is cut it will again renew itself, and its bough will not cease.

JOB (14:7)

כִּי יֵשׁ לָעֵץ תִּקְוָה אִם יִכָּרֵת וְעוֹד יַחֲלִיף וְיֹנַקְתּוֹ לֹא תֶחְדָּל

אִיּוֹב יד:ז

kee yaysh la-aytz tik-va im yi-ka-rayt v'-od ya-kha-leef v'-yi-nak-to lo tekh-dal

Today's Israel Inspiration

Job poetically describes a tree of hope: if cut down, it will sprout anew, and “at the scent of water it will bud” (Job 14:9). Jewish tradition compares man to a tree, also full of hope and potential, where no matter how difficult a situation, there are unending opportunities to renew. Bring hope to the nation of Israel by planting your very own tree of hope. Our roots are strong when we stand together.

Best Hatikva We've Ever Heard

This may just be the best version of Israel's national anthem that you've ever heard. In Hebrew, "Hatikva" means "The Hope" - a fitting title for a nation that has survived thousands of years with undying hope to return to the Land of Israel!

Beautiful Israel Photo Trivia ✡ "In the Heart of the Seas" - ISRAEL365

In the heart of the seas are your borders; your builders perfected your beauty.

EZEKIEL (27:3)

בְּלֵב יַמִּים גְּבוּלָיִךְ בֹּנַיִךְ כָּלְלוּ יָפְיֵךְ

יחזקאל כז:ד

b'-layv ya-meem g'-vu-lai-yikh b'-nai-yikh ka-l'-lu yaf-yaykh

Today's Israel Inspiration

Surprise ... today's verse is NOT referring to Israel! In Chapter 27, Ezekiel sorrowfully laments the downfall of Tyre, a large port city which arrogantly prided itself in its might and beauty. Here we see the greatness of Israel's prophet. In his sincere words of admonishment to inspire Tyre to repent, Ezekiel shows he was filled with love and mercy for all mankind. He was concerned with the welfare of a foreign nation just as for his own people. He demonstrates as well the futility of beauty without acknowledging God as its maker. Lift up in true beauty with meaningful jewelry from the Land of Israel.

Would Israelis Take Advantage of a Blind Man?

A social experiment tests how Israelis react to a 'blind man' asking for 20 shekel change - of a 200 shekel bill. The results? You've gotta see this!

Is Ezekiel 37 Being Fulfilled Right Before Our Eyes?

A new project is laying the groundwork for the future fulfillment of Joseph and Judah reuniting prior to David ruling over the reunited kingdom of Israel, as written in Ezekiel 37.

Spiritual and Physical Fires of Jerusalem ✡ "Rebuild the Wall of Jerusalem"

The gates thereof are burned with fire; come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem.

NEHEMIAH (2:17)

וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ נִצְּתוּ בָאֵשׁ לְכוּ וְנִבְנֶה אֶת חוֹמַת יְרוּשָׁלִַם

נְחֶמְיָה ב:יז

u-sh'-a-re-ha ni-tz'-tu va-aysh l'-khu v'-niv-ne et kho-mat y'-ru-sha-la-yim

Shabbat Inspiration

One of the Jewish prayers recited to commemorate the destruction of the Temple states: “You destroyed Jerusalem by fire, so too will You rebuild it with fire.” Above the Western Wall, archeologists uncovered a complex destroyed in the Roman fires of 70 CE; spear-pierced skeletal remains give silent testimony to the tragedy. Thus we can understand destruction by fire, but what about construction by fire? Perhaps it indicates the degree of passion necessary to engage in such a task. If this is the case, indeed we have merited living in a time where the latter fire is burning bright, and many are answering Nehemiah’s call: “Come and let us build!” Learn more about Rabbi Yehuda Glick's Temple Mount Foundation, taking steps to rebuild the Holy Temple in our time!

Is There Spirituality in
Civil Law?

Just after the giving of the Ten Commandments, the Torah continues with various civil laws and their penalties.  Following an event of such spiritual magnitude, an event that includes thunder and lightening, trumpets blowing and God’s revelation to human beings, the Torah immediately transitions to the most mundane of issues.  Is there a deaper meaning here?

Amazing Underwater Dead Sea Footage ✡ "The Mountains Did Tremble" - JERUSALEM365

Then the earth did shake and quake, the foundations also of the mountains did tremble;
they were shaken, because He was wroth

PSALMS (18:8)

va-tig-ash va-tir-ash ha-a-retz u-mo-s'-day ha-reem yir-ga-zu va-yit-ga-a-shu kee kha-rah lo

Jerusalem Inspiration

David sings a song of gratitude to God after defeating his enemies. Sometimes God’s support is in the form of a ‘still small voice’ (I Kings 19:12); other times it shakes the very foundations of the world. In Israel, there have been a number of quakes which shook the earth over the years. The Dead Sea, for example, is a result of a cataclysmic rift in the earth’s crust, a result of the shifting of plates under the surface. This shift produced mountain ranges and volcanoes in the Golan Heights, as well as deep fissures. The Dead Sea was formed from one of these fissures, and is the world's largest hypersaline lake.  Aside from being a fantastic vacation destination, the waters of the Dead Sea have been proven to have a host of healing powers.  Feel Israel on your skin with our most popular Dead Sea products!

Something Old Something New?

With only six seeds recovered from excavations at the Masada fortification in the 1960s, one scientist set out to cultivate a Judean date palm.  The result will fascinate you.

Olive Wood Pendants

These fabulous olive wood pendant necklaces with the Star of David come in two sizes, small and large. Both sizes have a flat olive wood base, in all of the wood’s striking, unique coloring, and have a pewter Star of David appended to the front to adorn it. The pendants come with a leather cord, a strong way of hanging a bold pendant around one’s neck.
