The Jewish People brought the Tabernacle to Shiloh where it stood temporarily until the first Holy Temple was built in Jerusalem. The Tabernacle dwelled in Shiloh for 369 years, serving as the central point for Israelite service to God, as we see throughout the books of the Prophets, especially in the Book of Samuel. Like many places in Israel today, the ancient site of Shiloh exists alongside a flourishing modern Jewish community where hundreds of Jewish families call modern-day Shiloh home. Although living in the Biblical city is a dream-come-true for many, their lives are not easy as they are surrounded by numerous Palestinian villages and cities and are often targets for terror attacks. Shiloh Israel Children's Fund aims to ease the trauma of terrorism in these young children and rebuild the Biblical heartland of the Holy Land.
