I sense the Lord saying, "The older stars in My kingdom are going to shine brighter and do greater exploits than ever before!" I sense there is a special anointing coming upon older men and women in the body of Christ. God is not through using you. Your age is not against you, it is for you. Job 12:12 says, "Wisdom is with the elderly, and understanding comes with long life." You have more wisdom now than ever. With years comes understanding.

This anointing is going to cause you to live longer. Many of you have not planned to live long enough. It will be an anointing similar to Caleb when he reached 85 years. He said to the Lord, "I am as strong now as when I was 40, and I want to take another mountain!" There is coming a "spiritual fountain of youth" into your midst, a renewing, a release of God's strength. Psalm 68:28a says, "Your God has commanded your strength." God is commanding His strength into you! The God's Word Translation says, "Your God has decided you will be strong!"

Why Many of You Will Have to Live Longer

Many of you are going to have to live longer because God is not through using you. Many of you are going to go into a second "childhood" in the Spirit. You will be reactivated by God to live out the dreams you are only dreaming about right now. People and relatives will laugh and say, "You are going to do what? You are going to go where? At your age?" But that anointing is going to rise up within you to take mountains, to do exploits, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Our older years are when we are in our prime to be used and bring forth fruit. Psalm 91:16 says, "With long life I will satisfy [you] and show [you] My salvation." There is an anointing coming upon God's people to live longer. The joy of the Lord, which is our strength, is lengthening our days upon the earth.

Many have made out their wills, but before you think about leaving, check out your Father's will for you. I don't think you are going anywhere for a while. As Abraham and Sarah conceived in old age, you are about to conceive and live to see your Isaac ... your impossible dream!

Remember, "too old" is not in the Bible.

Prophetic Alert: I Am Breaking the Age Barrier! by Bill Yount - Identity Network

Prophetic Alert: I Am Breaking the Age Barrier! by Bill Yount

I hear the Father saying, "I am breaking the age barrier! Quit saying, 'I am getting older.' Christ in you is ageless. Allow His Spirit to quicken your mortal body and soar with the eagles. And don't tell Me where I can't send you this year. Get over yourself and buy some new luggage." (Someone should be shouting about now!)

Doug Addison: "Prophetic Word for November: A Breakout Power is Coming & There's Power in Your Tears!" - The Elijah List

Doug Addison: "Prophetic Word for November: A Breakout Power is Coming & There's Power in Your Tears!"

The Elijah List Nov 7, 2017

From the desk of Steve Shultz:
In this encouraging prophetic word for the month of November and going forward, Doug Addison brings to you this truth:

"We are coming out of a season of the dark valley of tears and God is using it to bring a brook of blessing."
In a very dark time when I was a college student, just 19 years old, I felt abandoned by seemingly all family and most friends. Of course at that age, many teens go through that same experience, so it was a common experience I'm sure.
Right at that time, I was introduced to a song that may not have ever been in the top 100 of Christian songs, but for me, it became my #1 song.
The main line of the song was also the title, "TEARS ARE A LANGUAGE GOD UNDERSTANDS!"
I played that song over and over just to grasp the truth of it all, and grasping it I needed. I've never forgotten the experience as you can see in me sharing this story.
God takes our tears and prayers as incense up to Him. ALL YOUR TEARS are kept in His heart for times of refreshing like the time that is upon us now, starting in November.
With that in mind, enjoy this word of encouragement! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Get ready to break out of the season you have been in and into something completely new. The Lord is gathering together those who have gone through difficult times and also the forerunners—those who have been set aside for this very time.
"I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like sheep of the fold, like a flock in the midst of their pasture; they shall make a loud noise because of so many people. The one who breaks open will come up before them; they will break out, pass through the gate, and go out by it; their king will pass before them, with the Lord at their head." (Micah 2:12-13 NKJV)
A new sound will come—the "loud noise" as they gather will break open the gates and restraints will fall off you. A "breakout" power and anointing is coming and the Lord is going to open a new gate in the spirit starting in November. Those who have felt they are in prison or being held back are going to have a sudden prison-break experience.
Tears that Change
"We are coming out of a season of the dark valley of tears and God is using it to bring a brook of blessing."
A major shift in the spiritual atmosphere, for the good, is here. Many people have been crying out for change, justice, healing and relief from the struggles happening all over the world.
This has been a difficult season and the Lord is now shifting the spiritual atmosphere as a result of your prayers and tears.
"Record my misery; list my tears on Your scroll—are they not in Your record?" (Psalm 56:8 NIV)
The Lord has not forgotten your tears, and all of your prayers have been placed in a scroll or book in Heaven. These books are now being reconciled and this will bring the changes that we all have been crying out for.
Jesus Cried Too
"During the days of Jesus' life on earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission." (Hebrews 5:7 NIV)
The tears of people who were weeping for the loss of Lazarus moved Jesus to tears and ultimately raised His friend from the dead. Tears can change the spiritual atmosphere and bring amazing miracles.
"When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. ...Jesus wept." (John 11:33, 35NIV)
God is anointing our tears with greater power. In the past season, we could cry buckets of tears but not see results. This is now changing and our weeping is turning into reaping. This is going to open up the heavens and bring God's anointing to break open miracles in your life.
Outpouring of Blessing
"How enriched are they who find their strength in the Lord; within their hearts are the highways of holiness! Even when their paths wind through the dark valley of tears, they dig deep to find a pleasant pool where others find only pain. He gives to them a brook of blessing filled from the rain of an outpouring." (Psalm 84:5-6 TPT)
ElijahList Prophetic Resources
We are coming out of a season of the dark valley of tears and God is using it to bring a brook of blessing. Watch for a highway of holiness to open before you. The Lord is going to bring you strength to overcome the things that have held you back in the past.
You will suddenly have new power to overcome what used to overcome you. A release of deeper intimacy with the Lord will allow you to experience love in greater ways.
Be Humble and Repent
We are seeing a release of God's justice and judgment that is now coming after Yom Kippur. God is revealing things that people have done against others. The books in Heaven are being reconciled for injustices and those who have been dishonest or mistreated people will be held accountable.
"What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs."(Luke 12:3 NIV)
"Many people have been crying out for change, justice, healing and relief from the struggles happening all over the world."
This is why we are seeing things like the Harvey Weinstein scandal and other injustices being exposed. This is a time to be humble and repent for anything in our own lives before we speak out in judgment against others.
Over the next few months, Psalm 56:8 will be exposed everywhere. God is calling us to a new level and it will require honesty. Be sure to repent and bring matters under the Blood of Jesus and things will be okay for you.
Call for Unity in the Spirit
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." (Ephesians 4:2-3 NIV)
Changing the spiritual atmosphere will require us to let go of negativity and arguments. It is really important that we become one in the spirit. Divisions are bringing disunity, which is allowing the enemy to attack us. A house divided against itself will not stand (Mark 3:25). Make every effort to restore the bond of peace and love for one another. (Photo via Wikimedia)
God is raising up peacemakers that are being sent out to bring healing in the land. As this happens, we will see a change in the weather patterns, a reduction of violent acts, and the release of God's blessings on the earth.
Blessings,

How to Regard Trials as Pure Joy - R.T. KENDALL CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Here's how you can turn your trials into pure joy.

How to Regard Trials as Pure Joy

Here's how you can turn your trials into pure joy. (Lightstock )
How are we to regard trials as pure joy? Only by sufficient motivation.
In Moses' case it was because of the reward he believed would be his later (See Hebrews 11:24-26). It was even what motivated Jesus. Imagine that! It was the joy that lay ahead that kept Him going (Hebrews 12:2). He was not enjoying the cross, not for a second. But it was because of the great joy that was going to His that He was able to endure the cross. He considered it pure joy because pure joy was coming. And it came!
James tells us, therefore, that trials are a good thing—if we have a positive attitude toward them when they come. He certainly doesn't say we will enjoy them. Instead, we endure them. But we regard the thought of them as pure joy because of what these trials can do for us. They are, says Peter, more precious than gold (1 Pet. 1:7).
The greater the suffering, the greater the anointing. If it is anointing you want, then expect suffering. If it is a great anointing you want, anticipate great suffering at some stage. The anointing is the power of the Holy Spirit to make us do what we do with ease and without fatigue.
The main reason for burnout and fatigue is almost certainly because someone has gone beyond his anointing; he went outside it rather than functioning within it. It was because he could not accept the limits of his ability. None of us can do everything, but to the person who is not content with the anointing or gift that he or she has, there will be trouble ahead.
It is humbling to accept our limits, but there is considerable joy and peace in doing so, not to mention an increase of anointing. We can pray for a greater anointing—namely, an ability to do what we previously could not do in our own strength—but until that anointing has come, we must accept the limits of our faith and ability.
I myself would prefer a greater anointing than anything. It is literally what I want most in the entire world. In a word: more of God. This way, I can achieve all He wants of me. He never promotes us to the level of our incompetence. As long as we are content with the calling He has chosen for us, we will live and move at the level He has seen fit to give us.
This is partly what is meant when the psalmist said, "He chose our inheritance for us" (Ps. 47:4). It can be a testing in itself when we come to terms with His determination of what talent He has decided to give us. We may envy another's anointing. It is the way Peter felt when told how he would die, and all he could apparently think of is how John would die. Jesus replied, in so many words, "That's none of your business—just follow Me and quit looking over your shoulder." (See John 21:18-23).
A.W. Tozer used to say that we could have as much of God as we want. When I first came across this comment, I disagreed. But now I know what he meant. We do not prove how much we want of God merely by the intense desire at the moment. We prove it by how we react to circumstances in life, and the opportunities given to us to do such things dignify the trials He hands us on our silver platter.
When we are content with the anointing God chose for us, we do what we are called to do without fatigue. "I can do everything through him who gives me strength" (Phil. 4:13). When I become mentally and emotionally fatigued in what I am doing, it is a fairly strong hint that I have chosen to move outside my anointing and what God specifically asked me to do. As long as I do what He called me to do and no more, I will not be edging toward burnout.
And yet I would like to have more anointing than I have! This is a legitimate desire because Paul told us to desire earnestly the greater gifts (1 Cor. 12:31). God will answer this request so long as it is sought with His glory in mind; He will answer the request if it is His will (1 John 5:14), God will consequently supply the need for this by granting the necessary anointing required for what I am called to do.
If, then, it is a greater anointing I truly want, and I wake up with one big enormous trial before me, I should grasp it with both hands! I must consider this pure joy! This is because the trial is a fairly strong hint from the Lord Jesus that I am going to receive the anointing for which I long. He knows what I want more than anything, so if He sends a trial or testing my way, then I have every reason to believe that the anointing I long for is coming—if I dignify the trial at hand.
James sees a time ahead for the person who dignifies the trial that will bring indescribable peace, the highest level of anointing, the soul uncluttered by greed, and a heart filled with the very presence of God. It is pure joy.
In other words, if you consider a trial to be pure joy, it will lead you to pure joy. Count it pure joy, call it pure joy, regard the trial as pure joy, and one day you will experience pure joy for yourself. I promise it!

Prayer Power for the Week of February 14, 2016
Although you can't avoid trials in this life, determine this week to ask the Lord to help you "dignify the trial" when it comes and count it as "pure joy." Bring your thoughts and feelings into agreement with the Word of God and cry out for His grace (enabling power) to help you to do all things, even give thanks in the midst of your most challenging circumstances. Ask the Lord to show you ways in which you can meet needs, share love and be a blessing to others who are hurting and suffering loss. Continue to pray for the nation and worldwide revival (1 Thess. 5:18).

"Holy Spirit Radar" by Francis Frangipane, Cedar Rapids, IA - THE ELIJAH LIST

"Holy Spirit Radar"by Francis Frangipane, Cedar Rapids, IA

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzIn this day and age, it's important that we have and develop "Holy Spirit Radar" as Francis Frangipane shares about this in his article. God is maturing His Body and increasing the gifts inside of us...so we can be better equipped in this hour.

Having His "radar" is about having spiritual discernment as Francis shares here: "What you need is the ability to interpret the influences of God upon your spirit. To sense what the Spirit of God is saying to you is, at its essence, the source of true spiritual discernment."

Be encouraged as you glean from Francis Frangipane's important word!

Please forward this word to your friends! Encourage them to subscribe to the Elijah List right here: http://elijahlist.com/subscribe.

"Holy Spirit Radar"
by Francis Frangipane

"For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light." Luke 8:17

The peace of Christ is not just a divine attribute; it is also an organ of communication in the language of God. The Holy Spirit uses peace to communicate with us. If a situation warrants caution, our peace is troubled; if a direction is rightly chosen, peace confirms it. Thus, we are admonished by God's Word to "let the peace of Christ rule in [our] hearts" (Col. 3:15).

The literal translation for rule is "to act as arbiter."

As we debate in our souls a course of action, Christ's peace acts like a spiritual radar. It helps make our powers of discernment more effective.

When we first were born again, it was not to a religion that we gave our hearts; it was to Christ through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God actually entered our lives, and with Him came His inner witness of peace. This is not a little thing, for the Gospel is actually called the "Gospel of Peace" (Eph. 6:15).

Of course, the "circuitry" that makes our spirit-guidance system accurate is our knowledge of God's Word. We must, therefore, be grounded in God's Word. We are not discussing a psychic ability but a spiritual faculty that is part of our relationship with Christ.

Scripture says that Jesus was "aware in His Spirit" of the thoughts and motives of others (Mark 2:8). So again, the faculty we want to develop is a spiritual thing, not soulish - and definitely not something borrowed from the occult. Coupled with the Word of God, your radar can be a type of scanner that actually discerns hidden issues or danger. Thus, you can trust the Holy Spirit's guidance to help you recognize what may be troubling you in your spirit.

For example, I was conducting a Bible study on a college campus when a young man came into the room, sat down and joined us. Outwardly he appeared clean-cut but I felt cautioned by my inner radar, so I stopped the Bible study and asked him openly if he were involved in witchcraft or the occult. He said no. However, even though he was clean-cut, the warning in my spirit wouldn't go away. I asked again, and again he denied any connections to witchcraft. I felt the Holy Spirit focus upon his coat pocket, so I asked him what was in his coat pocket. This time he answered honestly, pulling two chicken claws out of his pocket. He had just been to an occult ritual. His response now was more humble, and we were able to actually pray with him for salvation before we left.

Some say that God doesn't speak to them, but this is not true. They just haven't learned the language of the Spirit. When the Holy Spirit comes, He brings communication with Heaven: dreams, visions and prophecies all represent union with God. Therefore, you must believe God can get through to you. What you need is the ability to interpret the influences of God upon your spirit.

To sense what the Spirit of God is saying to you is, at its essence, the source of true spiritual discernment. In this regard, it is good to remember John's words: "These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him." 1 John 2:26-27

So let's put this into perspective: we have an inner witness that gives us peace while helping us decide and discern.

This "peace connection" does not, however, allow us to ignore input from leaders or others whom God may use. While we must maintain sovereignty over our will, God gives us ministries to train and equip us (Eph. 4:11-12).

That said, it is the anointing of the Holy Spirit that is the final amen to the truth of God.
Our goal is to develop that inner witness, for when it is united with knowledge of the Word of God, we have a powerful resource added to our arsenal of faith. Remember, the Spirit and the Word always agree. So if you memorize and study the Word of God and walk in the Spirit, you will increasingly possess discernment.

From Sacrifice to Anointing: 5 Steps to Bonding With God - AL HOLLINGSWORTH - CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Bonding with God takes sacrifice and commitment.

From Sacrifice to Anointing: 5 Steps to Bonding With God

Join us on our new podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Have you ever known someone who seems to have a special connection with God—someone God uses to accomplish amazing things?
The truth is those people are not more special than you—but their bond with God is likely much stronger than yours. Why is that?
Bonding with God requires that we move through five progressive steps.
1.Sacrifice. Nothing in this life is free. Someone or something must pay the price for another to gain. There can be no bond between people without a sacrifice—the new parent pacing the floor to comfort a crying baby in the middle of the night, the adult child committing to care for an aging parent, the person putting his or her own needs on the back burner to care for a hurting friend.
In the same way, our bond with God was forged through sacrifice. Jesus paid the price for our salvation so that we could be children of God. Salvation is free to you and me, but it cost Jesus His life. That bond is strengthened when we make sacrifices in return. The Bible is filled with examples of believers who sacrificed greatly to bond with God. Think of Abraham, Hosea, Jeremiah and a host of others. Can you identify the last sacrifice you made to honor your bond with God?
2. Relational bonding. At this stage, sacrificial giving has produced a bond of trust between two people. The child feels secure in his parents' love. The aging parent can rest in the knowledge that she won't be abandoned. The hurting person is assured that he has a genuine friend. Those bonds then become deeper. Relational bonding comes as we gain knowledge through shared personal experience.
Think of soldiers on the front lines. Not only do they sacrificially lay their lives down for one another, they understand each other in ways others cannot because of their unique shared experiences. This dynamic exists among families, co-workers, athletic teams, musical ensembles, ministries—you name it. The relational bond is strengthened in direct proportion to the amount of time and attention invested in relationships. When we neglect a relationship, the bond will begin to atrophy.
Jesus desired to bond with mankind, and He paid the highest price so that we may be relationally bonded with Him. I challenge you to look through the Bible and see saint after saint who sacrificed in order to be relationally bond with God. There is no shortcut to this kind of intimacy in any relationship. Two words: time and attention.
To get a good view of the relational bonds in your life, try this simple exercise: Write out your weekly schedule in as much detail as possible. Who or what is receiving your time and attention? Where does God fit in the mix? Without that shared experience, His voice will not be familiar to you. Which leads us to the next step.
3. Perceptible bonding.  After living and struggling with someone for a long time, you start to think and see life the way they do. My wife and I have many decades of marriage under our belts. I know her patterns, her likes and dislikes, and I can usually predict how she will feel or respond in a given situation. I would know her voice anywhere.
This is the step in our relationship with God when dreams and visions become possible. Does God have a dream for you, some special work that He ordained just for you? As we devote our time and attention to God, developing a bonding relationship, we learn to recognize His voice as He speaks to us through dreams, visions and ideas.
Think of it this way: When you habitually give your time and attention to something, the spirit of that thing will live in you. If you give time and attention to pornography, the spirit of pornography will hold sway over you. It will fill your thoughts and ideas. Are your thoughts and ideas driven by social media? Sports fandom? An obsession with wealth?
When we consistently pursue our bond with God, we have His mind in us. We can perceive what He is saying. We see things as God sees them. And He can entrust us with His vision, His dream, His big idea for seeing His kingdom come here on earth. He can also trust us with His limitless resources to make those dreams reality. Which brings us to the next step.
4. Material bonding. If we truly bond with God, we gain everything He has. When my wife, Hattie, and I were just dating, we each had our own belongings; however, when we became bonded as husband and wife, everything I had belonged to her.
When you are so closely bonded with God that you can recognize His voice, He will draw unto you the things that you need. I call this the corridor principle: As a man acts according to God's plan and in obedience to His specific instructions, He draws to Himself the desires of His heart—because they are God's desires! The scriptural foundation for the corridor principle is Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you."
Perhaps you have perceived God's specific vision for you. Does God want you to start a new business? To offer a ministry to your community? To write a book? To foster or adopt a child? What is stopping you from pursuing that vision with abandon? God's inexhaustible financial, emotional and spiritual resources are yours.
5. Power and anointing. The most important things God provides are not things at all. When we step out in obedience to God's directions, we do so under the power and anointing of His Holy Spirit. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power. So set your heart on His desires, take a tangible step of obedience, and marvel as He provides.

Over the past two years there has been a major shift happening within the Body of Christ. It's not just been the turning of a page or a new chapter in your book. It's like a whole new book is being written. In this new season literally anything is possible. God is going to anoint you to create with Him. And there will be no self-striving. You are going to live out of the ease and rest of God.
From this place of simple obedience to the promptings of the Spirit you are going to receive divine creative ideas and strategies and see a double portion harvest come in.
This is just like when Jesus told Peter to throw his nets into the water in Luke 5. Peter had already been fishing all night long, but caught nothing. He was exhausted. But in obedience to the word of Jesus he threw his nets in again, catching not just one boat load, but two boat loads of fish. One word from Jesus changed everything!
From the ease of obedience Peter received a double portion harvest of fish.

Things Are Changing in Your Life

Traveling internationally I get a global perspective of what is happening within the Church. We have entered into a new season. The transition has been happening over the past one to two years. Whenever a shift happens corporately, it also happens individually. You may have noticed things changing in your life.
God has been realigning you for your new season. When shifting of seasons happen, things change in our lives affecting our activities, focus, vision and even relationships. (Photo via flickr)
The most challenging part of shifting seasons is letting go of things from our past season. This is where most people get stuck. Human nature gravitates towards the familiar and it's difficult to leave our comfort zones.
But when God is shifting us into a new place there will be things from our past season that won't be able to go with us into our new season.
Reaching the Point of Fulfillment
Each season reaches a point of fulfillment where the purposes of God for that time have been completed. Once a season reaches fulfillment you hit the ceiling of that season. If a shift is not made you plateau and eventually stagnate. It's important to understand that just because something was amazing in your last season doesn't mean it's meant for your new season.
It's easy to let go of the negative things. The hard part is letting go of the things we thought were great. But just because it was God's will and a great thing in your past season, doesn't mean it will be great in your new season.
Each season has its purpose and once that purpose is completed you need to shift into the new.
You know the season is changing when the grace of God begins to lift off of you for something. The same joy and fulfillment is no longer there. Something is changing. When this shift first starts to happen we often wonder what is wrong and we have to process what is happening. This is different from a temporary discouragement the enemy would try to bring. Don't confuse a temporary attack of the enemy with the shift of a season.
As time goes by you will know more deeply within yourself that things are changing and you need to make a shift.
Let Go of the Old to Make Room for the New
I want to help you make the shift so you don't stagnate in the old, but can move fully into the new and every amazing thing God has for you. The possibilities are limitless. What the Lord showed me was that the ceiling of our past season has now become the floor of our new season. But this can only happen if we fully yield and surrender our self-will to God. This is the key to shifting seasons. (Photo via flickr)
In prayer you must surrender your will to God and let go of anything that no longer has the fresh breath of God on it.
You must be willing to let go of the old to make room for the new. Once you surrender it sets the will of God into motion bringing you into your new season. New things will become established in your life and you will begin to birth and create new things with God.
