In this new article, Jesse Shamp writes a NOW prophetic word about this emerging generation and says:
Dream of an Emerging Generation
I want to share prophetically about the heart of the Father for this hour!
I asked the Lord recently, "What is Your heart in this hour and what is it that You're asking of me?" That night, the Lord gave me a dream. In the dream, my wife Amy and I were sitting on a stage in front of a large audience. There was a general of the faith and spiritual father standing behind me with a microphone and he asked me, in front of this audience, "How many men or women have raised up twelve others under their mantle?" I started to think about it, but before I could answer, he stopped me and asked, "How many men or women have raised up a generation under their mantle?" Then he looked at me and said, "That's what you're called to do: to raise up a generation!" Then he came to my side and laid his hands on me, and it felt like hot honey was pouring into my spirit!
I woke up from this dream overwhelmed by God's presence. I remember thinking, "The impartation in this dream was real!" I knew that this wasn't just for me, but a call to the Body of Christ in this hour. In this dream, I could tangibly feel the Lord's heart for this generation. He is longing for sons and daughter to step into their destinies and callings! God is not looking just to raise up new voices and ministries, but the Lord is looking to raise up the Body of Christ, the army of God, to usher in a great harvest of souls!
"Not all intercessors are prophets, but all prophets should have the heart of an intercessor."

We have seen great ministries and great miracle workers in the past and in the present, but what would it look like to see a generation of people moving in the power of God like none other?
Some may say this generation is too backslidden—too far gone. Let me encourage you not to simply look at this generation with the natural eye. God's vision is always so much greater, much more far-reaching than our own. We serve a miraculous God! His eye is upon this generation, just as His eye is upon the sparrow (Matthew 10:29-31). The sparrow may seem insignificant to some, but not to the Father!
We have seen many prophets and miracle workers "graduate on" to be with the Lord. When generals graduate on, God longs to raise up fresh voices and mantles to carry on the work of the Kingdom.
The Word of God says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" (Psalm 116:15). The word "precious" means costly. The blood of God's servants is costly to Him!
Every time a soldier or a general dies on the battlefield, it is costly. We have seen the passing of so many great generals. It is upon the heart and mind of the Father to raise up others and release new mantles and anointings! God is giving fathers and mothers of the faith a heavenly mandate...an assignment to raise up this new breed!
I want to talk about what God is doing in the earth, because God is looking to raise up a company of prophets and a company of miracle workers! Will you be one of them? We so often see just a handful out of every generation. Yet, God is looking to anoint many. Not just a few, but a generation. I'm part of this generation and so are you! Below are the characteristics of this new breed God is raising up.
1. Miracle Workers with the Mantle of Miracles
The Lord told me they are miracle workers, with the mantle of miracles!
I want to give you a picture of what this new prophetic company will look like. This is what God is doing with this generation: He is raising up miracle-working prophets! What will these prophets look like? They will look like Jesus! Let's remember that Jesus was a miracle worker. It was Jesus, at the age of thirty, who so boldly stated:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." (Luke 4:18-19 NKJV)
I want you to first understand that during the time that Jesus was baptized by the Holy Spirit, He came out of the wilderness and He began to publicly declare His ministry! Jesus proclaims His ministry, and He then goes on to compare Himself and His ministry to that of Elijah and Elisha, two prophets of the Old Testament.
"Then He said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; but none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.'" (Luke 4:24-27 NKJV)
Jesus compares His ministry to that of these two great prophets of the Old Testament. Note that they were both miracle-working prophets!
What we will see in the coming years is an emerging generation of miracle-working prophets. They will not just be those who proclaim, but they will be those who carry the substance and evidence of Christ's power through the mantle of healing and miracles.
There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, but he was only sent to one! Can you imagine how many widows were in Israel during the famine? Likewise, there were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha, yet, he was only sent to one.

Jesus so boldly stated that "no prophet is accepted in his own country." What Jesus was saying is, "You are only sent to those that recognize that you are sent!"
Many did not recognize the mantle of miracles that rested upon Elijah and Elisha. Yet, those that did, received a blessing. It's time that we begin to look and recognize the mantle of the prophet in this generation. We must begin to recognize those who God has sent to us!
This emerging generation, this prophetic company, will usher in the new move of God and restore the nation of America. They will be those who will shake the earth with the rod of their mouths!
2. The Pioneers
The Lord told me that they are pioneers.
Many failed to see what Jesus was carrying because it was so out of everyone's box and was foreign to them! Those who God will raise up may look different than what we have seen in the past. They are called to raise the standard. It is a breaker anointing that they carry and others will partake of the fruit that this anointing brings.
Smith Wigglesworth and John G. Lake were both pioneers of their day; many are still partaking of the fruit of their ministries! God is releasing divine assignments for those who will be planted in nations and specific regions to sow seeds of revival, take territory, and to break new ground for the Kingdom of God!
3. Those Who Declare the Heart of the Father
The Lord told me: "They Declare the heart of the Father!"
The Lord brought the prophet Ezekiel into a vision; it was a prophetic encounter.
"The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' So I answered, 'O Lord God, you know.' Again He said to me, 'Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, "O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: 'Surly I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.'"'
"So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.
"God is looking to raise up a company of prophets and a company of miracle workers! Will you be one of them?"

"Also He said to me, 'Prophecy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, "Thus says the Lord God: 'Come from the four winds, O breath, and breath on these slain, that they may live.'"' So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army."(Ezekiel 37:1-10 NKJV)
Prophets like Ezekiel are often misunderstood people, because they often see what others don't see. They are visionaries. The Bible says that we prophesy according to our faith (Romans 12:6). Could our faith match Ezekiel's? Could we believe for God to raise up an army with the same faith and anointing?
The valley of dry bones could easily, in some ways, be compared to the state of the Church in this hour. We need those who will prophesy strength, courage, and power into the Body of Christ! This army of the Lord will be raised up, but we are in need of those who prophesy and speak forth those things that are not as though they are (Romans 4:17). This is how God speaks to us, His Body.
Jesus taught His disciples to pray, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven" (Mathew 6:10). That is the central focus of the prophetic: to see restoration in all things!
Some may say "How can God use the Church in the state that it's in?" I'm here to tell you that God doesn't have another generation to use! He doesn't have another Church! It is this Body, it's this generation, it's this army that He has chosen to use.
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." (1 Peter 2:9)
In the midst of a famine, the prophet Elijah saw the will of God to release rain. Can you imagine Elijah? He bent to his knees, wrapped himself in his mantle, and began to put his hands between his knees to intercede! He was interceding for the nation. In 1 Kings 18:44 (emphasis mine), Elijah's servant said to him, "I see a cloud the size of a man's hand rising from the sea!" Elijah had heard the sound of an abundance of rain (1 Kings 18:41) and then, it started to rain (1 Kings 18:45)!
What Elijah saw in his spirit, he began to call forth and prophesy. It was his intercession that brought the nation of Israel out of a famine. God used this prophet to restore a nation back to God!
Where are the prophets like Elijah today? Where are those who are willing to get on their knees and intercede? God is looking for those with the same spirit, the same heart as some of these prophets.
4. Those with the Heart of Daniel
The Lord told me: "They have the heart of Daniel. They have the heart of an intercessor!"
"But if they are prophets, and if the Word of the Lord is with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts." (Jeremiah 27:18 NKJV)
Not all intercessors are prophets, but all prophets should have the heart of an intercessor. There is something about seeds of prayer and intercession that break things open in the spirit!

As I was in prayer, the Lord told me, "I'm looking for prophets like Daniel. Those with the heart of an intercessor." God is looking for those with the heart of Daniel, those who will be moved with the Spirit of intercession and whose prayers will cause God's glory to touch a nation!
It was Daniel's faithfulness to God in stewarding intercession, that caused him to stand in the gate of the king (Daniel 2:49).
I was also reminded of a man by the name of Daniel Nash. He wasn't a prophet, but he was a powerful intercessor. He was sent by God to accompany Charles Finney to co-labor with him with his ministry of revival. He would go to the town Finney was scheduled to preach in, and he would pray, fast, and travail. He would sow seeds of intercession in the ground! He was never in the spotlight, but his reward was the fruit that came from Finney's revivals. Countless souls came to the Lord through Charles Finney's ministry. They were an unstoppable team! The Church is in need of revivalists and prayer teams geared toward intercession.
Please hear me my friends, America needs our intersession today for the power of God to fill our Churches, for the lost to fill the altars, for awakening in this hour! Let us pray, let us press in for the destiny of this nation and nations around the world! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List
