5 Reasons Why Americans Are Extremely Angry at Obama

Here's the Deal, by Matt Barber
Author C. S. Lewis once said, "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains. It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world."
Americans are in high levels of pain today and the stage is set for something to explode. Many believe this is God's way to rouse us into an awareness of our toxic times and the need to turn back to Him.
Scripture tells us, "The wrath of God (His righteous anger) is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth..." (Rom. 1:18).  We love to sing "God is so good," but how about "God is so mad?" Today it's not only God who is mad, but it's people everywhere.
Years ago there was a motion picture titled Network where the central character reached the boiling point and shouted, "I'm as mad as (expletive) and I'm not gonna take it anymore!" This captures the simmering moral outrage and indignation prevalent today. It's really a ticking time bomb.
  • You hear it almost daily when you listen to callers on talk radio. I heard one man two days ago exclaim, "If I hear... I swear blood will come spurting out of my eyes!"
  • It's obvious behind closed doors, when people drop their guard with friends with whom they feel safe and vent frustrations they've suppressed inside far too long.
  • You observe it in the thundering declarations and denunciations coming from courageous political and spiritual leaders today, punctuated by the explosive responses of emotionally charged crowds.
How intense is it?
What is your recollection of the angriest, scariest confrontation you've ever seen? Is there one where someone flew into a rage—complete with eyes bulging, nostrils flaring, veins popping, arms flailing and obscenities flying? On the sensitive photo plate of your mind, can you still hear "You blankety-blankety-blank!" while bystanders bear-hugged the person in his steroid-inflamed, out-of-control rage?
How about the episode in baseball when George Brett of the Kansas City Royals charged out of the dugout after connecting on a Goose Gossage fastball for a home run, only to have the umpire disqualify it due to some illegal pine-tar on his bat? ESPN still loops the highlight decades after the ultra-tense altercation took place. When Goose was introduced into the Hall of Fame in 2008 he exclaimed, "Whew! That still is the maddest I've ever seen a person get!"
We may not be at this boiling point yet, but if things continue as they are, it won't be long.
1. Radical Islamist Threat Downplayed and Denied
Our President mysteriously and obstinately refuses to identify ISIS as the world's greatest threat, instead deflecting us to climate change.
He says that "ISIS is not Islam," "They are a JV squad" and are "being contained," all while ISIS advances globally and even in our land. This infuriates millions who are unwilling to let him continue taking risks with our lives and those of our families. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich threw up his hands recently, declaring, "Obama is the greatest national security risk to ever occupy the White House."
We feel like sheep being led to slaughter.
2. Apostasy and Compromise in the Church
Leaders and boards of historic denominations are cowardly, deceptive and unfaithful to sacred Scripture by condoning homosexuality, ignoring immorality and ordaining gay leaders and bishops. Core doctrines of the faith are undermined by false teaching and false shepherds. I stood aghast on Saturday evening in the main meeting hall of a Catholic church where emblazoned on the wall was a framed declaration of religious tolerance, declaring all religions lead to the same God! As someone raised Catholic, I was legitimately incensed.
3. Obscene and Wasteful Spending in Government
As our nation faces an unbelievable $19 trillion debt, our politicians lift the debt ceiling and continue spending our tax dollars in unconscionable ways. The government is doling out entitlements to illegal immigrants and enticing the masses with seductive promises from socialistic, utopian ideology. Honest and hard-working Americans are saying, "Enough is enough!"
Last week's announcement that our government wasted over $150 million on unnecessary Afghan villas for a handful of staffers and spent $43 million for a gas station that should've cost $500,000 makes our blood boil.
4. Lawlessness in Illegal Immigration, Failure to Enforce Drug Laws and Irresponsible Releasing of Criminals Into our Society
The uncanny popularity of Donald Trump as a presidential candidate continues because people resonate with his message of stopping illegal immigration and building a wall already on the books but not enforced. Federal drug laws recklessly ignored and thousands of violent criminals having sentences reduced for early release puts the lives of many in peril.
Add to this powder keg the hundreds of sanctuary cities where lawless officials ignore the safety of citizens and protect illegal immigrants, and is it any wonder people feel righteous anger?
5. The Trojan Horse of Radical Muslims Among Forced Settlement of Refugees
Americans are very angry because, eight days before the San Bernardino terrorist attack, President Obama reassured all of America that there was no imminent threat of terrorist attacks from ISIS as he continued his push for the reception of 100,000 Middle East refugees into America.
Projecting guilt onto those raising legitimate objections, our president speaks of us refusing "orphans and widows."
An operative working for ISIS recently revealed in an interview that the group has smuggled more than 4,000 covert ISIS jihadists into Europe by hiding them among innocent refugees. The San Bernardino couple proved that Muslims can come here capable of bypassing screening, be radicalized and conduct barbaric behavior while fooling even parents and coworkers.

How This God-Defying Government Twisted Upside Down - Albania

How This God-Defying Government Twisted Upside Down - Albania

The stark reversal of Albania's religious life was impossible to miss.
As I walked down the main avenue of Tirana to the location of our final service of celebration, I realized it would take place in front of what many locals dub as "The Temple of Atheism."
That afternoon in the warm September sun, representatives of various faiths, including the president of the Albanian Evangelical Alliance, planted a tree and a colleague gave the location a new name, "The Garden of Faith."
Few of us have ever seen such a rapid upturning of a God-defying government. It now not only allows but also celebrated an open declaration of Christian faith, permitting Sant'Egidio to use the building which had been constructed as the intended mausoleum of the atheistic dictator who had made it criminal to believe.
Those who lament that secularism has no ending and that its dominating presence cannot be broken, need only to come to Albania. Situated on the northwest borders of Greece on the Adriatic Sea, 75 kilometers from Italy, Albania is part of the Balkans.
The Ottoman Empire (Islamic Turks) occupied it for 500 years. Invaded by Italy in 1943, it became a Nazi protectorate. A year later a communist republic was formed under President Enver Hoxha and lasted until 1991. He outlawed any form of worship and religious property was confiscated. Believers, be they Christian or Muslim, were tortured and often executed. In 1967 Hoxa declared Albania "the world's first atheist state."
After the Soviet collapse, the walls keeping Albanians locked in also fell. The faltering economy fostered crazy expectations, motivating the Albanians to invest in Ponzi schemes. It is estimated that a third of the population was caught in one or more of these schemes. The inevitable collapse triggered public unrest and a backlash against the government. Although freed from the Enver Hoxha dictatorship, people's lives were not easy.
And now, in September 2015, I was participant and speaker in a "Peace Is Always Possible" conference. This annual event led by Sant'Egidio, is a Catholic based spiritual movement founded in the 1960s by a group of Italian teenagers with a hunger for the Scriptures, for prayer and with a heart to care for the poor and disabled.
As I sat on the platform, I thought of the hard journey of the Albanians from the prison of not just a faithless secularism but also through an imposed faithlessness.
Secularism is an attitude that presses up against faith saying, in effect, "You have no right to voice your views here." Imposed atheism says, "We will put you in prison if you even show evidence of belief."
This kind of controlling atheism rips away at the heart, forcing one to deny what you know to be true. It creates a bifurcated and dysfunctional soul: In public you must be on guard to use language suitable to authorities; but even in private, you never know if your spouse, child, parent or sibling is informing on you to the secret police.
Sant'Egidio has expertise in crafting peace initiatives, fostering contact with a myriad of groups and religions, with the resonating theme, "Peace is always possible." This optimism isn't a frivolous attempt to ignore the deep, troubling craters of hatred and violence. Rooted in the gospel, members fervently believe that prayer is essential to the peace process. My presentation advanced an understanding that prayer is, in essence, spiritual warfare.
While the wars of humanity are triggered by territorial and selfish impulses, the demonic exacerbates human conflict, escalating feelings to hatred, murder, rape and torture.
It is encouraging for me to see this community operating with comfort as they work with other religions, open to hear from any and all. Yet they give nothing away. Founded securely in their Christian faith, they let others say what they wish, believing that within dialogue there may come points of connection that may lead to initiatives and actions of peace.
I wish that among evangelicals—rooted and secure in our doctrinal and theological faith—we might have such conversations, not being defensive or reacting, but following the example of the famous evangelical missionary statesman E. Stanley Jones, who in his organized dialogue with various religious groups in India fostered understanding.
Our evening dinners in Albania opened the door for multiple conversations with significant leaders in countries who bristle with anti-Christian hostility. My prayer is that the Lord will give opportunities to walk through those doors, knowing the Spirit allows us to enter places where in our wildest dreams we won't imagine going.
Life isn't secured by government, the strongest of military might nor a political or philosophical bias or doctrine. But our hope is framed by a deep and settled belief that our lives revolve within the orbit of our Lord's creative presence.
Prayer is not our last resort. It is our only resort.

With Kim Davis Ruling, Is Government Working to Ban Christians From Public Service?

With Kim Davis Ruling, Is Government Working to Ban Christians From Public Service?

Are Christians at risk of losing their religious liberty?
Are Christians at risk of losing their religious liberty? (Reuters)
Today we are witnessing what the four dissenting Supreme Court Justices warned of in the Obergefell decision: religious liberty in America is in grave danger.
While five justices on the Supreme Court created this dilemma, it is incumbent upon Congress, and in this case legislators, to ensure orthodox religious beliefs are accommodated. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear could solve this court-created conflict by immediately calling for a special legislative session and establishing statutory accommodations for clerks like Kim Davis.
Ultimately, this is about more than same-sex marriage licenses in Kentucky. It is about the ability of Christians and other religious people to serve in positions of public trust. If this is not resolved in a manner that accommodates the orthodox religious beliefs of Clerk Davis, this will, in effect, establish a reverse religious test barring those who hold biblical views of marriage from positions of public service. Such a religious test by proclamation or practice is wrong.
Now a court is jailing someone over this because the governor failed to act. How hard is it to change a simple form to remove her name from it? Isn't that worth doing to keep someone out of jail because of what they believe? Governor Beshear must call for a special session of the legislature and grant an accommodation to Kim Davis.
If governors and legislators thought this threat to religious freedom would go away, the jailing of Kim Davis proves them wrong. The time to protect and accommodate religious liberty is now.

What Now for Israel's Government? - ISRAEL TODAY

What Now for Israel's Government?

Wednesday, March 18, 2015 |  Israel Today Staff
A brief, but stormy election campaign has come to an end, and not only is Benjamin Netanyahu still prime minister, he appears poised to establish a far more stable government made up only of right-wing parties.
In the coming days, President Reuven Rivlin will select the candidate best positioned to form the next government. Given Likud’s crushing victory over the left-wing Zionist Union faction, that candidate will be Netanyahu.
Rivlin has expressed his hope for a national unity government, and is expected to ask Netanyahu to consider such an option.
But while a coalition consisting only of Likud, the Zionist Union and one or two other parties would be an interesting prospect, it is far more likely that Netanyahu will capitalize on the results of the elections by building a coalition made up of right-wing and religious parties.
Likud brings 30 seats to the table. It has natural partners in Naftali Bennett’s Jewish Home (8 seats) and Avigdor Lieberman’s Israel Beiteinu (6 seats). The new Kulanu faction (10 seats) of Moshe Kahlon, himself a former Likud heavyweight, is also expected to be an easy sell for Netanyahu.
That would already bring Netanyahu’s coalition to 54 out of 120 Knesset seats.
At that point, Netanyahu could again approach Yair Lapid and his centrist Yesh Atid party, but it is unlikely he will want that headache. It was Lapid who essentially brought down the last government over budget disputes.
Netanyahu’s other option is to woo the two ultra-Orthodox parties - Shas (7 seats) and United Torah Judaism (6 seats).
Getting Shas and United Torah Judaism into the government is easy, provided Netanyahu is prepared to offer the Interior Ministry, significant public funding for Orthodox yeshivas and to make compromises on legislation requiring ultra-Orthodox males to do military service like all other Israeli Jews.
If he’s willing to pay that price, Netanyahu can establish a coalition of 67 seats.
This coalition would still have some differences of opinion regarding economic and social issues, but would largely see eye-to-eye on security and diplomatic issues like Iran and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
In other words, it would appear Netanyahu has the opportunity to form the coalition he wanted and one that might finally serve a full four-year term.

Prophecy: The Next 18 Months Will Determine the Course of This Nation - JENNIFER LECLAIRE

A Call to Heaven flag

Prophetic Insight, from Charisma Media
In 2007, the Lord woke me in the middle of the night to share His heart about this nation—and His intentions. You can read the entire prophecy here, but the bottom line is He wants us to repent and He wants to bring a Third Great Awakening to America.
That's not going to happen without intercessors making an appeal to heaven. It's not going to happen without praying churches—and praying pastors—crying out to God day and night, night and day. It's not going to happen if we submit ourselves to a Jezebelic White House that's endorsing immorality and idolatry.
But I believe it is going to happen because I see intercessors making an appeal to heaven. I see praying churches—and praying pastors—crying out to God day and night, night and day. And I see people like Franklin Graham dropping a plumb line in our nation (which is why I recently called for urgent intercession over him).
In December, the Lord spoke something more to me while I was on an early morning prayer call. He told me our labor in the Spirit over the next 18 months will determine the course of this nation. Strong words, I know, but I believe them with every fiber of my being. Here's the entire prophecy:
"The church has modeled the government instead of the government modeling the church. There are strife and division in the government. There are strife and division in the church. There are corruption and scandal in the government. There are corruption and scandal in the church. There are politics and merchandising in the government. There are politics and merchandising in the church.
"These things ought not be so. The church at large has submitted to the government and its ways but the government should be accountable to the church. It's time to turn the world upside down, not for the glory of a president but for the glory of the risen King.
"So rise up. Rise up now in the authority of My Spirit and wake up the church with My love. Reform and transform the church with My truth. And then turn your attention to your government. Pray without ceasing according to the assignment I have given you and you will see My power work to bring the change you have been hoping and believing for.
"Don't give up now. Many are standing for you and the great cloud of witnesses is in agreement with you. Continue pressing in and refuse to submit to the ungodly. Your labor in the Spirit over the next 18 months will determine the course of the nation. Watch and pray. Pray without ceasing. Cooperate with My Spirit. Listen to My voice. Execute My plan. Don't give up."
I don't know about you, but that stirs me to intercede for the church—and for the nation. While writing The Next Great Move of God: An Appeal to Heaven for Spiritual AwakeningI spoke with leaders from many camps in the body of Christ—folks who don't always agree on much beyond Jesus as Lord—and they all agreed on this: Judgment is here and an awakening is emerging. The question is how severe must the judgment become before the America fully wakes up.
I believe we need to do what the Spirit of God told me: "Rise up now in the authority of My Spirit and wake up the church with My love. Reform and transform the church with My truth. And then turn your attention to your government. Pray without ceasing according to the assignment I have given you and you will see My power work to bring the change you have been hoping and believing for."
God wants to bring an awakening. In fact, I see pockets of revival and awakening in cities across America. I've never been more hopeful. God is not done with America. It's up to us to get in agreement with His Spirit and pray in the next great move of God that sweeps the nation.

"The Call To Kingly Intercession" - Dutch Sheets

"The Call To Kingly Intercession"
Dutch Sheets, Dallas, TX
The Elijah List

Several weeks ago, upon seeing pictures of an Appeal to Heaven flag being waved over the plains of Nineveh—the location of the first known transforming revival—I was extremely excited. I quickly sent the picture to one of my friends whose immediate response was, "Our prayers have tapped into the root of awakening in the earth." For the past year, connecting my personal testimony with the profound history pertaining to our nation's founding, I have been rallying the Church to make "an Appeal to Heaven."

In the midst of dismal circumstances, countless Believers have responded to this call. Based on what the Holy Spirit spoke to my friend, I believe the appeals to Heaven have been heard and we are now moving into the next phase of this new era—a Third Great Awakening that will impact the world!

We must be mindful, however, that successfully stepping into a new season calls for inquiring of the Lord concerning what we must do differently. Change will be necessary in order to come into proper alignment with the season, preparing us for what He wants to release to us and through us in this kairos time.

One of the things I hear the Lord saying is that in this new season, we must pray differently.

Keys For Kingly Intercession

Isaiah 22:22 and Matthew 16:18-19 are essential passages of Scriptures for shifting into this new aspect of prayer. Both mention "keys" as a way to illustrate the Believer's authority in the spirit realm. These keys are indispensable tools God is highlighting for igniting a prayer movement that will bring about a righteous turnaround in this nation.

"Then I will set the key of the house of David on his shoulder,
When he opens no one will shut, When he shuts no one will open." Isaiah 22:22

"I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. "I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in Heaven." Matthew 16:18-19

Using our authority to open and close spiritual doors is an aspect of prayer I sometimes refer to as "kingly intercession."

My understanding of this facet of prayer, which I will also call "governmental intercession," began with an unusual comment made to me by a prophet in the late 1980s and culminated with a statement the Lord made to me in 2002.

"God is going to bring the Church into the fresh age of the Melchizedek order, and you will be a part of initiating it," declared the prophet. I had no idea what this meant. Fast-forward approximately fifteen years to October 2002. I was praying for America, primarily concerning the judicial system, when I heard the Holy Spirit say, "You will fully shift the government of America when the prayer movement fully shifts from priestly intercession only, to kingly intercession as well."

Suddenly, I remembered what the prophet had said to me years ago. And, finally, I understood "the fresh age of the Melchizedek order." Grasping this revelation will expand our understanding of governmental or kingly intercession.

Understanding The Melchizedek Order

Melchizedek was first mentioned in Genesis 14, again in Psalm 110, and then once more in the book of Hebrews. He was a "type" or picture of Jesus in several ways, one of which was that he was both a king and a priest. At the time, this was unheard of. Zechariah 6:13, a messianic verse describing Christ, refers to Him in His King-Priest role, "...Thus, He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices."

The function of a king was to rule, representing God's authority to people; the role of priests was to serve, representing the people to God.

As our High Priest, Jesus represents our needs and desires to God. As the King, Christ represents and releases the rule, authority and will of God from Heaven to earth. His Kingly role is God-centered, while His Priestly responsibility is human-centered; one releases power and authority (king), the other love, mercy and grace (priest).

The priestly role is petition or intercession-oriented; the kingly role is declarative, decreeing God's word and will.

As co-laborers, partners with and representatives of Jesus Christ, we have become extensions of His King-Priest role. Most Christians, though they may or may not think of it as priestly activity, realize that we are to offer up worship and prayer (petitions) from earth to Heaven. Almost none, however, have understanding or involvement in God's plan concerning our kingly representation of Christ (decrees). We are not only priests, we are a "royal (kingly) priesthood" (1 Peter 2:9), who have been given the keys of Kingdom authority in which to bind and loose, forbid and allow, close and open.

As Holy Spirit reemphasizes these prophetic words and Scriptures to me, I sense that He is calling His ekklesia to step fully into our responsibility for kingly intercession. The Lord is calling us to shift from merely petitioning the Father, to also making decrees (official orders, edicts or decisions), declarations (announcements or formal statements) and proclamations (the process of binding and loosing) as we are prophetically inspired by Holy Spirit to do so.

The power of God's decreed Word is extraordinary! It releases His creativity, His salvation, and yes, His judgments! He rules through His Words, and so must we. Consider these verses of Scripture:
"How forcible are right words!" Job 6:25

"You will also decree a thing and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways." Job 22:28

"Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant." Jeremiah 1:9-10

"So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army." Ezekiel 37:10

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Proverbs 18:21

The Time Is At Hand

Even as I have heard God's clarion call to wield the Isaiah 22:22 key in the governmental arena once again (which you may read about here), I sense that He is calling His ekklesia in America to pray with greater fervency and diligence concerning our national government, especially for the election in 2016.

With several Supreme Court Justices reaching expected retirement ages over the next decade, new nominations to the bench will be forthcoming. The next President, especially if re-elected for a second term, could have a crucial influence on the future of the Supreme Court (the President appoints the Supreme Court nominees). This will, in many ways, determine the future of our nation.

We must fill the bowls of intercession in advance for these choices (Revelation 8:3-5). The Lord is inviting us to take the keys He has made available to us and fully shift our national government.

The American church must go beyond asking and petitioning the Lord only, to also decreeing and declaring His will and purposes into the earth.

We must move from merely presenting our case before God as priests, to decreeing the rule of Christ into every situation and circumstance.

It's time to wield the keys of Kingdom authority and shift into kingly intercession.

Our appeals to Heaven truly are being answered. But let's do even more. It's time to agree with and boldly voice Heaven's decrees in order to establish Heaven's government on earth. I am persuaded that we can turn the tide in America through effective governmental intercession. The Lord's will can be accomplished in our land, and righteousness can be restored to the White House, Congress, and the judicial system.

America, the time is now. God is bringing forth the fresh age of the Melchizedek order. Be a part of it!
