"12" - Thoughts of the Lord in numbers and other ways" - newest book by Steve Martin

"12"
-Thoughts of the Lord in numbers and other ways

Paperback: $7.99

Kindle Version: "12" - Thoughts of the Lord in numbers and other ways. $2.99

When it came time to title this book, I knew it was no coincidence that this is my 12th published work. I count it very special. Not only is this book my 12th, but there have been other “12s” in my life. I live at our house location with the street numbers “12120”. My favorite NASCAR driver was “24” – of course, made up of the numbers 2 x 12. I turned “12 x 5” just over a year and a half ago.

Reaching the BIG 60 means I am still going in the Lord’s grace and provision! My 12th trip to Israel will occur in May of 2016. That is very special to me, as the primary work of our ministry is to bless our Jewish friends in their Promised Land, with actual friendship and financial support. Both in word and in deed. Knowing there are 12 tribes of Israel, 12 apostles selected by Yeshua (Jesus), 12 elders now seated around the throne, 12 months in each year…well, you get the point.

This book consists of my last 26 Now Think On This messages. Someone once mentioned that my writings would have been simply called "journaling" years ago, and in their mind probably should be for private use only. They wondered why I would continue to publish my Now Think On This messages into book form which I share with others.

At first I was taken aback with the comment, considering it as myself being questioned of the real intended purpose I had with my messages. But a few hours later on that same day, when I sat down and started to read Doug Addison's book on his 2016 prophetic words (which he said he received during September of 2015, the time of Rosh Hashanah, considered by many the Jewish New Year), an encouraging word stood out and uplifted my spirit. That word (among many!) was, "God spoke to me to pull all my words together into book form. This allows people to remember and pray about them." (Page 3, 2016 Prophetic Forecast, InLight Connection, 2015)

And so I say that is one main reason why I do too. In fact, the Lord also had spoken to me that same inspired word, back in November of 2010, after I returned from Israel and sought Him as to my question, “Not what?” in regards to the next step in our new ministry Love For His People, Inc., having just formed it in April of that year. When He responded by telling me to “Write love letters” I did so, which then became my blog messages. As do so many teachers of the Word, their messages eventually are the basis of their books which follow. A great example that I adhered to with several of my previous books.

Thus, not only to share what I believe are inspirations from the Lord Jesus with you, but also to leave them as a legacy for my children and grandchildren. They will know even more what Dad/Grandpa stood for, and will be encouraged, along with others like you, to do so also. Be blessed in your pursuit of the Lord Yeshua, the Coming Messiah, as you seek Him in all you do.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew),

Healing. I Still Have Questions Too. - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Healing. I Still Have Questions Too.
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

Healing, as in miracles and instantaneous recovery, has always been a challenge to me. It may be true for you also. There have been many times I've asked our Lord Jesus, "Why not?" when healing doesn't come as soon as we'd desire, either for our self or others. It has been an ongoing question millions have asked God over the centuries.

Having read many books on the subject myself, with so many of them out there, I know it is one concern shared universally. Even in this modern era, with top-notch medical staff and medication sales in the annual multi-billions, many suffer with ongoing, unhealed conditions. And so the usual question keeps coming up. Why?

To share with you a brief personal history, I had the privilege of teaming with a world-wide known healing evangelist for over a decade, myself witnessing true miracles. Even after seeing with my own eyes the Lord Yeshua giving supernatural, instantaneous healings, I today still struggle with praying in faith for myself and others for healing, and seeing a miracle happen.

With a recent kidney stone deciding to be an unwanted part of my interior being, the question of healing again arose in a very genuine way. You can bet (I certainly don't recommended that betting ever is done though - just an expression) that I sought the Lord for immediate healing. Being this was my 4th kidney stone in the past 30 years, I thought my deliveries in birth were over. That pain is not something you'd want even an unfavorable one to experience.

And then there is another issue to share, which may help someone else who can relate, having a similar personal situation.

I have had a consistent, annoying cough for over 28 years. Back in 1987 one prominent minister said it was a "familiar spirit." As much as I believe in demonic forces and deliverance, if this was so in this case, it still never wants to obey my repeated commands to go. In addition, doctors have told me over the years that this physical ailment is due to nasal drip or allergies. I even assured the doctors that I have never smoked. (My uncle's cigar puff took care of that when I was 5.) Medications have not helped. Nothing has freed me from it as yet.

And so I continue to cough, no matter what the season. Another one of those things that I have no understanding on or relief from still.

Family members have had chronic inflections. Though we have prayed many times, believing with as much faith as we have, nothing changes in some instances.

So I think, maybe the Emergency Room kidney stone visit was to give me an opportunity to speak to a staff member there? Maybe it was to stretch something in me that only this event would, or could? He works out His purposes in that way too.

The apostle Paul had an ongoing affliction, though not specified in Scripture. Some say it was an eye problem. He wrote that he entreated the Lord three times for healing and release from it. The Lord answered him - His grace was sufficient. He had a purpose in it beyond healing.

Paul’s exact words as found in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 reads, “Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me — to keep me from exalting myself! Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness."

Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” (NASU)

Here is some further encouragement from the Word. ‘Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NASU)

So what am I saying? For my peace of mind, I will continue to seek the Lord's healing hand for His touch, while at the same time knowing that He is God, and His plans and knowledge are much higher than mine. Father knows best.

We give thanks for all that we experience in healing from the Lord. Whether it comes in a instantaneous miracle or over a period of time, with whatever method the Lord chooses, we praise Him.

As we walk forward in faith, continue to pray for healing. Still believe He gives gifts as healing from His immense heart of love for us. And above all, trust in our Lord for healing in your life and others.

Finally, leave the results in His hands, and know that all in all He is the One we can always lean on, and trust in. His Word is eternal truth.

I hope you are free in your faith to believe Him for all things and in all things.

This is something to think about.

Love you,

Israel's Security is in God's Hands Alone ✡ "Its Watcher Keeps Vigil In Vain" - ISRAEL365

A song of ascents about Solomon. If the Lord will not build a house, its builders have toiled at it in vain;
if the Lord will not guard a city, its watcher keeps his vigil in vain.

Jerusalem Inspiration

In today's verse King David declares his ultimate faith in God as the ultimate provider of safety and protection.  Through the centuries these words have rung true, and reminded the nations of the world from where Israel's ultimate security stems.  Alongside our unwavering faith in God's promise of aid, man must also do his part.  In these trying times, help Israel provide much needed blood for the victims of Arab terror.

The Star of David is known in Hebrew as a "Magen David" (Shield of David), a poetic reference to God as the ultimate shield of Israel's military hero, King David. The six pointed star hints at God's rule over all the directions of the universe: north, south, east, west, up and down.

Revelation Knowledge by Dr. Barbie L. Breathitt - Identity Network

Revelation Knowledge by Dr. Barbie L. Breathitt

- Identity Network

The dreams and visions God births in us bring revelation, illumination, and inspiration. Revelation is the disclosure of divine knowledge and truth that has always been present but not yet realized. The Holy Spirit instantly reveals spiritual knowledge about God and His ways through direct or indirect revelation to a person's spirit.

Revelation is not learned through the intellect (gnosis assumption or scientific, methodical knowledge); it is imparted into the depths of the spirit's (epignosis) intuition, which brings an exact, truthful knowledge. To know God is to experience God. The Spirit of God cannot be known by the intellect; for the intellect can only know His attributes. Revelation comes from the Greek word apokalypsis. It means the unveiling of mysteries, which have been hidden or concealed, that are revealed or discovered by removing a covering.

Revelation comes to bring an accelerated transformation. Revelation knowledge births change in the soul; awakening an unmediated spiritual awareness, that forwards one's movements on a higher plane, to grant a quickening of their faith's actions in the Spirit. The spirit realm moves at a much greater speed than the natural realm to allow creative miracles to occur. The mind cannot comprehend the manifestation of the revelation knowledge of the glory of the Lord that is covering the earth (Habakkuk 2:14) but the spirit can.

Spiritual Intimacy

Knowledge is the Hebrew word yada that is used in (Genesis 4:1). Yada depicted Adam and Eve's lying down together in spiritual intimacy, skillfully showing, revealing their most intimate needs and secret desires without inhibition or reservation, completely trusting that they would find mutual fulfillment while gazing into each other's eyes, and by this observation, learning how to please, respect, comprehend, perceive, and know each other completely; sexually, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

Adam and Eve had to teach one another. They answered their mate's questions, and declared when pleasure was reached. They became familiar with each other's bodies. They discovered and understood what made them feel loved. When the light of their two souls touched through intercourse, they ignited, merged and intermingled to become one.

Yada means to learn to know, discover through observation, to discriminate, discern or distinguish between, as one becomes thoroughly acquainted physically, emotionally, and spiritually with the one they love. Revelation knowledge comes when we are intimately acquainted with God's Holy Spirit and His ways, knowing what is pleasing to Him and learning how to bring Him pleasure.

  • Gnosis2, Strong's NT:1108 from NT:1097; knowing (the act), i.e. (by implication) knowledge: KJV - knowledge, science.

  • Epignosis3, Strong's NT:1922), acknowledge a full, or thorough knowledge, discernment, recognition.

  • Apokalypsis4, the Greek meaning "an unveiling" or "a disclosure." (from Bible Knowledge Commentary/Old Testament Copyright © 1983, 2000 Cook Communications Ministries; Bible Knowledge Commentary/New Testament Copyright © 1983, 2000 Cook Communications Ministries. All rights reserved.)

  • Yada5: Strong's Genesis 4:1, OT: 3045(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Revealed knowledge becomes ours experientially when we acknowledge God's presence, surrender to Him by following and obeying His will. Faith and the practice of spiritual knowledge are required to manifest the glory of God. The meat of revelation is for mature people who have experienced and practiced moving in the glory to discern the difference between good and evil (Hebrews 5:14). Without revelation knowledge we will never progress to the next dimension of supernatural glory. The glory realm requires a humble spirit that is motivated by total dependence upon the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual and Intellectual Enlightenment

Illumination is derived from both spiritual and intellectual enlightenment. Symbolically the bee represents illumination, industry, diligence, and expertise, harmony, wisdom, and sociability. Bees are generous givers and share their lives with others in the community thus they can also represent the power of resurrection. The Old Testament prophetess Deborah's name meant bee or prophetic discourse. Spiritual instruction and guidance bring prosperity to the citizens of eternity when the lamp or the eyes of the body are full of God's light. Spiritual illumination will draw both the light of God's favor and the favor of man upon a person.

Inspiration is the ability to mobilize others by communicating the discovered truths of God so that others can understand and champion the cause for God. To inspire means to inhale, or breathe in the Spirit to stimulate the mind, to create or to activate the emotions to a higher level of understanding. To spiritually inspire is to guide, declare, to reveal the future through the anointed Word of the Lord. affect or arouse by the divine influence of the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of the Lord calls to the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us, to impart His revelation knowledge, illumination, and inspiration in the depths of our spirits ability to apprehend. The Holy Spirit skillfully leads us into the glory; the deep, secret, mysterious things of God.

Psalm 42:7-8 reads: Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. By day the LORD directs His love, at night His song is with me - a prayer to the God of my life (NIV).
