How about that change? - Love For His People newsletter, Steve Martin

April 24, 2020

Greetings Love For His People family and friends.

On June 18, 2018, almost 2 years go, I published this Now Think On This message after waking up from a dream the Lord gave me. Mind you, I rarely remember my dreams, though I know the Lord gives them. Probably the same for you.

We dream on, but most often can’t remember what they were when we wake up. I wish we could!

After seeing the changes and transitions going on in the nations in these last few months, due to the coronavirus pandemic, I believe the dream not only again applies to me, as another transition comes, but also to you.

Want to read about it?

Read on!

Ahava and shalom,

Steve Martin

“You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you.” (Job 22:28, New Living Translation)

Dreams are another supernatural way the good Lord speaks to us. He gives us warnings, direction, hope, inspiration, or some other bit of knowledge for ourselves, a family member, or a group of people. When He gave me the following dream last night, following some prayer afterward as to its meaning, I knew it was for me.

But then now I think it may also be for a few of you. Read it, and if you sense an affirmation in your spirit, then too consider the possibility that the Lord may want to speak a confirmation in your heart as well.

Here goes.

The small car I was driving on the roadway seemed to be losing air in the front right-hand tire, and I thought it had picked up a nail. There was enough air left in the tire to get to my intended destination, but when I got out and looked at the tire, it wasn’t a nail or another object after all. In fact, after arriving, the rubber was totally coming off the rim! It reminded me of those tires that are re-treads, and after some good mileage had been traveled, they just fall off the main tread. You see remains of them often along highways where semi-trucks had lost the re-tread.

I then checked the left front tire, and the rubber was also starting to fall off. These had lasted just long and far enough to get me to my intended destination.

It’s a flat.

Further into the dream, I realized it just so happened that I had stopped the car near a tire store, and the attendant said he had some tires to replace these two with. I responded with an OK, but then thought, “I am going to be trading this car in for a bigger one. I don’t need the higher priced tires. I’ll get some others instead.” And so I did.

I did not know at this time what the next car was going to be, but I believed it was to be a larger vehicle which I was going to need for the upcoming days.

I then woke up.

When I asked the Lord what this was about, and trying to recall the details, I felt He was letting me know that a change was coming soon, and that the vehicle I had been driving had gone as far as He wanted it to go, to the very end of the line in this season. A bigger replacement vehicle was coming, as I looked to trade this one in. The smaller car would still be used by someone else, who would need it for their purpose, but it would not be big enough for the purposes and plans He had next for me.

Sometimes our Lord removes those things which have completed their service for the intended purpose, knowing that the next time or season will require a “larger vehicle” or a different location in order to fulfill the call on our life.

As for the tires “falling off the rim” dream image, it may seem drastic, but I believe that sometimes the Lord has to cause such a drastic adjustment to come in order for us to “wake up” to the fact that He has something more for us. Otherwise we may be content to stay as we are.

I know that is true.

Change is needed to keep us prepared for what is ahead. Change gets us from one point to another, as we “move” in the Lord’s leading. Without change, we would stay in one place, keep doing the same thing, and miss an opportunity He wants to give to us.

Change requires faith. Staying put isn’t always what the Lord desires. We must be open and willing to do as instructed, or as the next open door becomes known. We then must be willing to step through that entryway into the next mission.

Be thankful for those times when He “pushes” us to get there. A little encouragement from above is needed for us who tend to wait too long for the “next” to come. It may be that the “next” time is now.

And one more thing. Don’t despise the small vehicle you had been riding in, for it got you to the destination just arrived at, having served its purpose for that time. Be thankful that because of it, you are now at the next transfer point, to receive the next vehicle which will take you further on the road, onto the next journey.

As I said earlier, I know this dream was meant for me, and I highly suspect there are a few others who many consider this is for you too.

Move in faith as He leads. Change cometh!

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

by Steve Martin

With my 500th Now Think On This message having been written in April 2020, I started wondering a year ago what it would be to re-publish some of the earlier, or for that matter, more recent ones that seemed to have a prophetic nudge to them. I started out by coming up with a name and a logo, (I love logos!) for these new, and yet old messages, and gave them the name, “Think About It. Again. Or for the First Time.”

Then I went through some of those earlier ones to see what I had written, anticipating that they would be appropriate and fitting to republish. Hoping they had a “timeless” edge to them. As I found them I published them again over this last 12 months on our website www.loveforhispeople.com.

When the time came having accumulated enough for a small book, believing 15 or 16 would do, another book would come forth. And behold, it did! You may have read them when published for the first time, but that would have been from over 8 years ago when I started. If not, I hope you get inspired as you read them now, giving a new hope, some more encouragement, and maybe even a smile that would appear on your face.

Let there be blessings on ye head,

Steve Martin

2019 Prophetic Perspective: Keyword - TRANSITION- Shawn Bolz, Bolz Ministries

2019 PROPHETIC PERSPECTIVE: KEYWORD -TRANSITION

I know in giving such a broad word that will not apply to everyone individually, but it may help people see and find hope in what God is doing when He opens our eyes to see.  I ask you to read this with an open heart and let God show what it means for you.  Prophetic words help us to contemplate and reflect to life differently.  If you want your new direction, you need these times of reflection, and when people share prophetic words, it helps you to reflect on Jesus and life so you can know Jesus and what He is doing with you.

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you with." Ephesians 1:17-18 NIV

KEY WORD: TRANSITION

Transition is oftentimes not the most loved word by humanity, but it is one we need to adopt to understand the times and seasons we are in right now.  2019 will be a year of empowering the transitions for nations, movements, industries, and people groups as well as individuals.  I believe it will be marked in secular media as a year that set us up for some of the biggest changes in modern history.  Change and transition will headline media over the next few years in many nations.  Changes of Leadership, changes of CEO's, changes of chairmen, changes of directors, changes of top actors and actresses - so many changes. We will also see a lot of head transplants in movements, ministries, and large churches all over the world as older leaders transition into fathering or mothering roles as sons and daughters emerge into spiritual maturity.  Paul's are rising up Timothy's, and Mordecai's are empowering Esther's.  There will be a clear move of passing batons, and strategies will be formed to help these large denominations, churches, and ministries hand-off many major responsibilities and leave a powerful legacy.  Why this in 2019?  Strategically, God is setting us up for 2020, and we have to allow the change He has brought internally to bear fruit outwardly through this transitioning process.

SOMETIMES GOD BRINGS TIMES OF TRANSITION TO CREATE TRANSFORMATION

There are seeds of purpose in mature Christians that have been growing into maturity.  2019 is a year of positioning, empowering, and setting into place.  Picture how fast a building goes up after the foundation is laid; it feels like such a short time.  For Christians, 2019 is a year that will set whole church movements and denominations into a transition mode that will be followed by 3 years of massive change in the landscape of Christianity.  Imagine that the God who has authored decades of promises and prophecies is now coming to set up individuals and movements to finish everything needed to place us into the fulfillment of those promises, so we can walk into the greater aspects of what He has destined us for.

Some of you reading this might find yourselves changing position or jobs, moving, changing your relational circles, and more.  God is also bringing change for you that will bring you into the place where you can do exactly what God made you for.  For us, change always comes with the promises of Romans 8:28 - God will use everything that happens, especially change, to bring us into the best scenarios of His intention toward us and our lives.  Remember that when you are transitioning into a new season in life, the people and situations that no longer fit will fall away.  Don't despise the pruning; you aren't leading yourself or limited to what you would choose your process to be - God Himself is co-creating your life with you.

2019 - GOD IS RELEASING THE POWER OF STORY INTO FILM AND TV

I woke up in December having revelatory realization hit me that during 2019, we will see a harvesting of talent directed toward film and television projects that have been dreamed up by the creative power of God.  Christian television and faith-based projects in the music and movie industries will take on radical new directions.  Christians will be empowered with funds and creativity, and many people who have only been focusing on secular projects will feel God's assignment to use their craft, skills, and talents for faith-based projects.  We will see mainstream producers, directors, musicians, and other talented creatives all begin to get downloads of projects and God assignments to help audiences see the world shaped by the love of God.  Christians are coming of age in entertainment-based industries, and the reputation of Christian entertainment will change through supernatural help - beyond what they can accomplish - through some powerful projects that will help re-brand what faith-based entertainment is.

THE WAR IS OVER

Lastly, and maybe the most powerful, is a declaration for many of you reading this.  Some people who have faced a battle of a lifetime or ongoing warfare in their health, families, finances, ministries, and jobs are going to come to the end of the war in 2019; a commissioning to cross into what was promised.  God has won the war and is going to deliver the victory for Christians, some of whom have prayed or been prayed for hundreds of times for the breakthrough, and they are going to begin to see the release in 2019.  It's like in Daniel 10 when the angels comes through with the victory and says, "Daniel, since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.  But there was a war in the heavens causing this delay until supernatural help arrived, and now it's arriving for us.  Many people are going to feel their long battles come to an end.

It's funny......I wanted to write about the war being over, but I didn't know if I should give such a general word that could be no more than reading a Christian version of a fortune cookie; but every time I got into my car for a week, a song came on by Bethel Music alumnus Josh Baldwin: "The War Is Over."  I had not programmed this, and I hadn't listened to this album (also called The War Is Over) since I'd purchased it.  In it, Josh sings about how it's now time to lay down our weapons of war because Jesus has fought the fight for us.  When wars are over and we move into times of peace, we get to birth new things in the truth of identity, mercy, and victory.  We walk in the light and life Jesus has provided.  We get to reset and create in the peace of His provision.

This is my prayer for you!

Seeing 11:11 or 1:11? A Deeper Look at the Number 11 - Doug Addison IDENTITY NETWORK

Seeing 11:11 or 1:11? A Deeper Look at the Number 11 by Doug Addison

IDENTITY NETWORK

Have you been seeing the number 11 often? I am seeing 1:11 and 11:11 on the clock all the time.
Eleven is the number of transition. As it is often said, the 11th hour comes right before the start of a new day.
But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. Deuteronomy 11:11 NIV
God's promise to Israel in Deuteronomy 11:11 was that when they finally made it to the Promised Land, they would transition into a season in which they were under God's continual blessing from the beginning of the year to the end.
Eleven is a very interesting number to study in the Bible. While we normally refer to it as a symbol of transition, 11 is also associated with revelation that will help transition us into something new and overdue.
A Closer Look at the Number 11
The first mention of 11 in the Bible is in Genesis 32:22, when Jacob takes his wives and 11 sons on a journey to return to the land of his inheritance. He originally left because his brother Esau was angry that Jacob had stolen his birthright. Jacob began running from his destiny because of fear.
On the night mentioned in verse 22 (11 doubled), an angel visited Jacob and they wrestled until dawn. It was at this point that Jacob received the revelation that he was to change his name to Israel and transition into his destiny with much more clarity and boldness.
The 11th Son
This took place when Jacob's wife Rachel had just given birth to their 11th son, Joseph, who grew up to be a prophetic dream interpreter. It was in Genesis 30:22 that Rachel conceived Joseph (again we see 11 x 2 = 22).
Joseph's major gifting was revelation and he was used to transition Israel into a new season of blessing during one of the biggest economic downturns on Earth.
In Genesis 31:11 Jacob is visited by an angel and is given revelation on how to prosper under his father-in-law Laban, who had been ripping him off. Jacob used this revelation to transition out of being robbed and into major prosperity and deeper maturity.
Interestingly, this took place while Rachel was pregnant with Joseph. It was Joseph who carried his father's prophetic gifting far more than his brothers.
Transition and Revelation
In Genesis 35:11 God speaks to Israel (Jacob) prior to his beloved wife Rachel dying during the birth of his 12th son, Benjamin. This was a time of both transition (losing a loved one) and also revelation: Jacob would continue to be fruitful and multiply. Benjamin carried his mother's anointing of being loved and favored by his father.
The number 11 occurs during the transition of leadership and spiritual inheritance from Esau to Jacob. It is mentioned during a time of revelation on how to gain wealth and to expand the Kingdom of God on Earth. It is also the number of Joseph, who was instrumental in using revelation to bring both transition and prosperity.
Watch for New Revelation
Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Luke 11:11 NIV
In Luke 11:11, Jesus releases new revelation that the Father is not mean or judgmental, as portrayed in the Old Testament. This is an example of transitional revelation.
Watch for God to provide deeper revelation about who He is and our calling to love the world.
Blessings.
