Inscribe Yourself in the Book of Life ✡ "An Atonement for You" - ISRAEL365

For on that day shall the Kohen make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before Hashem.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Today's verse is the Biblical source for the holiest day in the entire Jewish year: Yom Kippur. In the times when the Holy Temple stood in Jerusalem, the Yom Kippur service was the most intricate, requiring the High Priest (Kohen) to cleanse himself more than half a dozen times throughout the day, while the people fasted and prayed his service would be accepted by God. Though we are not fortunate enough to have the Temple and the many duties the High Priest would perform, we remind ourselves of his important work throughout the day's prayers, thereby emulating the holy service. On Yom Kippur, our focus is to plead with God to forgive the iniquities carried out by the Jewish nation, and eternally inscribe us in the Book of Life, and not the formidable Book of Death. In the Yom Kippur liturgy, we call out in unison that repentance, prayer, and charity are the keys to removing any evil decrees that are upon us thereby ensuring we will be given a year of health and happiness.

For a great year ahead, we must pray with all our might and ask God to inscribe and seal us with favorable judgment.

How Can Hebrew Teach Us About Sin?

While many might know that Yom Kippur is the holiday of atonement for sins, they might not be aware that the Hebrew language reveals incredible clues as to the nature of sin as defined by God.

David Wilkerson's Spine-Chilling Last Message to the American Church - JENNIFER LECLAIRE CHARISMA NEWS

David Wilkerson's Spine-Chilling Last Message to the American Church

JENNIFER LECLAIRE  CHARISMA NEWS
Watchman on the Wall, by Jennifer LeClaireJennifer LeClaire is now sharing her reflections and revelations through Walking in the Spirit. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

David Wilkerson opens this end-times warning message with a heartfelt prayer to the Lord in a tone that convinces me he believes every word he said. Then he reads 2 Peter 3:9-14:
"The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat. The earth also and the works that are in it will be burned up.
"Seeing then that all these things are to be destroyed, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, while you are waiting for and desiring the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens will be destroyed by fire and the elements will be consumed by intense heat? But, according to His promise, we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these things, be diligent that you may be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless."

Wilkerson goes on to speak of a "noted televangelist" who gave a shocking warning to the United States. He called him a "respected" man we know and who is warning America that there's coming a catastrophe that's going to cost the lives of multitudes and change the way we live forever. He also pointed to many praying pastors who prophesied along these lines.
"Something is coming shortly; something coming soon and we had better be prepared," Wilkerson said.
Do you bear witness with these words? What should be our response? As for me, I'm believing for another Great Awakening.

Tim Tebow comforts fan who suffered seizure - Josh Peter, USA TODAY Sports

Tim Tebow comforts fan who suffered seizure

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Tim Tebow’s most impressive moment Tuesday came after his debut in theArizona Fall League.

Tebow, who went 0-for-3 at the plate, was signing autographs when a fan suffered a seizure and lowered himself to the concrete ground.

The man remained remained alert and Tebow waited with him for about 15 minutes before paramedics arrived at Camelback Ranchstadium.

“They’re going to take good care of you, buddy,’’ Tebow said.

The man appeared to be in good hands with Tebow, who offered comforting words and chatted about college football and recruiting. The banter seemed to keep the fallen man in good spirits — and led to one funny moment.

After identifying himself as Brandon and saying the seizure likely resulted from a brain tumor of frontal lobe epilepsy, the man said he was a fan of the University of Georgia. That’s right, archrival of the University of Florida, where Tebow played football and won two national championships.

“You’re a Bulldog? You’re kidding me,’’ Tebow cried out with a grin. “Don’t even know how to respond to that.’’
With the team bus waiting, Tebow simply kept talking with the man until the paramedics arrived. He squeezed the man’s hand and told him he would reach out later before finally leaving the field.

“God bless you, buddy,’’ Tebow said.

As Tebow headed for the team bus, fans saluted him.

“That was class,’’ one said.

“God bless you,’’ said another.
