Trump Reportedly Looking to Host Mideast Peace Summit - Israel Today

Trump Reportedly Looking to Host Mideast Peace Summit

Tuesday, April 04, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
Following his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Monday, Arab media is reporting that US President Donald Trump is looking to host a Mideast peace summit as early as this summer.
And that has more than a few people in Israel concerned.
While Israel and Egypt have enjoyed close cooperation under Al-Sisi, the Egyptian leader reportedly told Trump that peace between Israel and the Arabs should be based on the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative.
Israel at the time expressed appreciation for the concept of comprehensive peace (as opposed to separate peace processes with the Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world) but was unable to accept many of the terms, like opening the gates of the Jewish state to millions of so-called “Palestinian refugees.”
Should Egypt and other Arab nations convince Trump to adopt the 2002 Initiative as the foundation for future peace talks, Israel could once again find itself in a dangerous position.
According to the Arab daily Al-Hayat, that’s precisely what’s happening.
American sources cited by the paper said Trump was looking at a US-hosted peace summit this summer, with Egypt joining the US as one of the chief arbiters between Israel and the rest of the Arab world.
Egypt is already officially at peace with Israel.

Netanyahu Attacks 'Depressing' Mainstream Media - Israel Today

Netanyahu Attacks 'Depressing' Mainstream Media

Tuesday, April 04, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday attacked Israel’s mainstream media for being an “industry of depression.”
At a toast held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, Netanyahu blasted the left-leaning press for constantly focusing on (and, in his view, exaggerating) socio-economic problems, while all but ignoring Israel’s successes.
Netanyahu sees this type of coverage as part of an ongoing media effort to sabotage his premiership and smear him personally.
Long at odds with Israel’s mainstream media, Netanyahu recently ramped up the tension by pushing through legislation that would further privatize the state-run press and open the door to greater competition.
“I would like to see more competition, more diversity, more pluralism. The last thing I want is the opposite of that. The press is not diverse enough, does not reflect the public’s feelings,” said the prime minister.
Those elements of the mainstream media that draw their salaries from taxpayers’ money see this as a direct assault, and in response have accused Netanyahu of trying to limit freedom of the press in Israel.
Netanyahu has retorted by noting the overwhelming criticism to which he is treated in most of the Israeli media, and that this is done freely and without repercussion.

"The Strategy God Gave Me for Praying for the President" - Doug Addison THE ELIJAH LIST

April 3, 2017

"The Strategy God Gave Me for Praying for the President"by Doug Addison, Los Angeles, CA

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzI am appreciative and beyond GRATEFUL to Doug Addison for exhorting our readers to be PRAYING FOR THE PRESIDENT.

It was a grueling election season and the country remains profoundly divided because of the hard-fought battles. Now that the entire praying Church can see who the president is, it is our responsibility to pray for him.

I was soundly convicted to pray for President Obama through his presidency, according to Scripture. So that is what I did but...I must admit, the last number of months, I let up on those prayers as his term was already over, but I should not have let up at all. We still should be praying for him and his family as well!

In the same way, God has installed President Trump now as the leader of the United States for the next 4-8 years. We must keep him and his family lifted up in prayer. The mistake would be to have prayed him INTO office and yet fail to PRAY HIM THROUGH his presidency. He needs our prayers now more than ever.

But I'll let Doug Addison say it in his words here! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)

"The Strategy God Gave Me for Praying for the President"by Doug Addison, Los Angeles, CA

No matter who you voted for in the U.S. elections last November, God wants us to pray for our leaders. The apostle Paul urged us to pray for leaders and he did this during a time when world leaders were not godly. God wants us to pray for leaders no matter what their political party or beliefs happen to be. We need to pray that God's will be done and not our own desires.

"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV

Pray for President Trump

I have been given a prayer assignment for President Trump and I pray intently for him and his leadership team daily. I had a prayer assignment for President Obama as well. The Bible verse mentioned above urges that we pray for leaders regardless if we agree with them or not. This is important because it allows us to hear God more clearly and align with Biblical principles that will open the heavens over us.

As the weight of the office settles on him, President Trump is under pressure and needs your prayers. He is being refined from a business leader into a President. Like many of us who have gone through promotions, he is in the "fire of the Lord" right now. Whether you agree with him or not, he needs your prayers.

Here is the prayer strategy the Lord gave me:

• Pray that God would surround the President with godly counsel and wisdom.
• Declare only those chosen by God can be placed in leadership positions.
• Ask God to speak to spouses and family members through dreams and revelations. An example of this in the Bible is when Pilate's wife had a dream that helped her husband deal with the crowd concerning Jesus (Matthew 27:19).
• Pray our leaders will call upon godly counsel to help interpret and advise.
• Declare that all demonic spirits and influences will be revealed, and the plans of the enemy will be made known.
• Ask God to bless and protect them.
• I pray this daily for the President and other leaders. I want to encourage you to come into agreement with this.

Prophetic Word for the United States

The Lord gave me this word on the morning of the election (November 8, 2016):
"O America, I still love you and see your zeal for Me. Satan has asked to sift you like wheat and the enemy has been waging war against you. But a remnant is going to arise to possess the land. Your sons and daughters are going to awaken from a sleep and rise up like a mighty army. They will be like David's mighty men (and women). Yes, women! I am moving on women in this hour. I am going to do this and it will bring about great changes that are needed for this time."

This is a time to be in the unity of the Spirit, even if we do not agree on everything in the natural (Ephesians 4:3). It is unity that will reveal and break the plans of the enemy. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)

Blessings,

Do You Have These Occult Objects in Your House?

JESSILYN JUSTICE  CHARISMA NEWS
Books, knickknacks, pictures, games or even television shows may have an occult vortex that gives demons authority in your household, ex-New-Age blogger Steven Bancarz says.
"These objects and books and tools, they are charged with a spiritual frequency that matches the delusion that powers are trying to create in the spiritual realm. By holding on to these things, we are creating a bridge between these supernatural realities, what the Bible calls heavenly places that are ruled by demonic principalities in our life, our home, our soul," Bancarz says in a new video.
They may seem inherently harmless, but Bancarz warns these objects can wreak havoc on your life.
Book examples include subjects about Hindu, esoteric, Gnosticism, transcendentalism, sorcery, magic, mysticism, yoga books or any books that advocate reincarnation, among others.
Bancarz also recommends dumping fictional books that also have these elements, like the Harry Potter series.

Jared Kushner Makes Unannounced Trip to Iraq - Abra Forman BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Jared Kushner Makes Unannounced Trip to Iraq

“A wicked messenger falleth into evil; but a faithful ambassador is health.” Proverbs 13:17 (The Israel Bible™)
Jared Kushner, the Jewish son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, reportedly traveled to Iraq over the weekend with a number of defense officials. Kushner, who has been tasked by Trump with the onerous burden of fostering a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, serves as one of the president’s closest and most trusted advisors, but his role on the short Middle East trip is unclear.
The White House has not made any formal announcement or statement regarding the trip, nor Kushner’s participation, declining to even confirm his presence in the Middle East. The New York Times reported that Kushner had been invited to join by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph F. Dunford Jr.
A senior Trump official said on Sunday that Kushner had wanted to see the situation in Iraq, where the US military is active, first-hand, as well as show support for the US-backed Iraqi government.

The Anti-Faith Bias That Might Catch You by Surprise - CBN News Heather Sells

The Anti-Faith Bias That Might Catch You by Surprise
03-31-2017
CBN News Heather Sells

NEW YORK -- When Disney recently promoted an "exclusively gay moment" in its live action remake of "Beauty and the Beast" it pointed to a troubling trend for many believers: an anti-faith bias that seems to be growing.
It can be seen on many college campuses, like Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, which force Christian student clubs to welcome non-Christians in leadership.
It can also be seen in the media's support for LGBT activists and disdain for those who speak of religious liberty.
Bias in the 'Big Three'
Faithwire.com Senior Editor Billy Hallowell says what's most concerning is that this anti-faith bias is now well entrenched in our most important cultural institutions, or the "big three" as he calls them.
"When you're not presenting both sides of something, when you're not giving people options—whether it's in the university, whether it's in the media, whether it's in Hollywood—you're essentially robbing people of the ability to make a choice," he told CBN News.
Millennials are perhaps most affected by this dynamic as they've grown up with a glut of media and entertainment, served up instantly on cell phones and tablets.
"People are much more disconnected I think from what is happening, desensitized to it and really the end effect of that—the big change—is that opinions are shifting," said Hallowell.
Changing Views on Sexual Morality Among Millennials
A millennial himself, Hallowell looks closer at these dramatic changes in his new book, Fault Line. One wake-up call is recent polls showing that growing numbers of Americans approve of premarital sex or having a baby outside of marriage Hallowell says. Other polls show support for polyamory (romantic relationships of three or more) has doubled and that almost two-thirds of the country now thinks that homosexuality is morally acceptable.
At the same time, going to church is no longer a way of life for almost a quarter of all Americans with millennials leading the way.
"Generational replacement is happening," said Hallowell. "There is a larger percentage of people at this point as millennials who are disassociated with faith than previous generations were at this point."
Hallowell points the finger squarely at the "big three."
"I don't think we've taken enough time to look at all of these areas together because to me that was the eye-opening thing," he said. "It's easy to complain about an individual area and to take a show and pick it apart but when you really start to look at data and info and logically break it down, it really does become troubling."
That data includes numbers like this: a 2014 UCLA study in which almost six in 10 professors described themselves as "liberal" or "far left" compared to a little over one in ten who say they're "conservative." That's a roughly 50 percent difference which translates into what Hallowell calls "liberal privilege."
"People who are liberal or maybe not [religiously] affiliated enjoy the privilege to speak freely whereas people who don't associate with those beliefs maybe have a harder time speaking up," said Hallowell.
Consequences of Publicly Sharing Traditional Values
One clear example happened in 2009 when the media blasted Miss USA contestant Carrie Prejean for her answer to pageant judge Perez Hilton's question about whether she thought every state should legalize gay marriage.
"I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman," Prejean responded. "No offense to anybody out there but that's how I was raised."
In the following days, critics attacked Prejean for her response including judge Hilton who uploaded a reaction video calling her a derogatory expletive and declaring "if that girl would have won I would have gone up on stage, smashed that tiara off her head and run out the door."
Hallowell believes that outcry fits with a normalization of rampant sexual activity. It has infiltrated television, making the so-called "family hour" obsolete.
As a dad, Hallowell felt he had few choices for his young children. His instinct proved correct when a 2016 Barna Group report found that less than one percent of Americans believe that Hollywood is faithful to Christian beliefs. More than half said that Hollywood sometimes or generally portrays Christian beliefs negatively.
Even more concerning says Hallowell is the subtle anti-faith bias that people often miss. "I think the covert bias is much more problematic," he said.
To top it all off, the mainstream media is often the guide to these events and trends and few journalists are religiously affiliated. A 2007 Pew Research Center poll found that just eight percent of journalists at national media outlets attend church or synagogue weekly. That lack of involvement contributes to a worldview bias says Hallowell and a bias in story selection and tone. He cites election night coverage that resembled a funeral and that confounded mainstream journalists who found themselves out-of-touch with many people of faith who voted.
Hallowell hopes that Fault Line will serve as an alarm to fellow millennials who have become desensitized to this anti-faith and often anti-conservative bias. "We don't even recognize that some of this is problematic anymore," he said. "We look at it as normal."
One way to fight the new normal, he says, is from the inside. Hallowell urges believers to go after careers in Hollywood, the media and academia to turn the tide in subtle and perhaps not-so-subtle ways.

'Voice of Hope' to Broadcast from Israel - CBN News Tzippe Barrow

JERUSALEM, Israel – The State of Israel took another step in its prophetic calling to be a light to the nations by licensing the Voice of Hope radio network to broadcast from Israel to Syria, Lebanon, Cyprus, Jordan, Egypt and Turkey.
By providing a radio broadcast frequency to the evangelical Christian network, Israel is helping Voice of Hope reach out to Arab Christians suffering intense persecution in many Middle Eastern countries.
Israeli Communication Minister Tzachi Hanegbi said the programming will be "an uplifting tool and a benefit to our neighbors."
"This radio station exemplifies the deep connection and unique bond that Israel has with the American people and between Jews and Christians. We are certain that the message of hope that will be brought by the station will be an uplifting tool and a benefit to our neighbors," Hanegbi said. "The State of Israel supports any message of peace to the people in neighboring countries and this is why we decided to support the reestablishment of the Voice of Hope."
CBN News has a special connection to the outreach.
In 1979, the late George Otis founded the Voice of Hope, which broadcast from southern Lebanon for nearly 20 years. Otis also founded Middle East Television (METV), which he later passed on to CBN.
When the Israeli military left southern Lebanon in 2000, METV relocated to Cyprus.
Today, Voice of Hope is owned and operated by Strategic Communications Group, a global evangelical radio network reaching Latin America and Africa.
Founder and President John Tayloe said the programming will feature Christian Arab presenters, Arabic Christian music, news, education, drama and inspirational messages.
"I am excited that this powerful Christian radio station was licensed by the State of Israel to deliver a message of hope and encouragement to the people of the Middle East," Tayloe said in a press release. "The Voice of Hope is established in support of Christians of the Middle East and is a gift of love from Christians in the United States and Canada."
