Why Does The Left Hate Us So Much? - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Posted: 05 Aug 2017 Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Have you ever asked yourself this question? Ever since I decided to run for Congress, I have spent quite a bit of time thinking about how divided our nation is.  Donald Trump has become the most hated person in America, earlier this year a gunman tried to kill as many Republican members of Congress as possible at a baseball field in Virginia, and the mainstream media is fueling more hatred for conservatives on a daily basis.  I think that I was more than a bit naive in thinking that I wouldn’t be caught up in all of this when I decided to run for public office.

It has only been about a month, and so far I have been slandered repeatedly, my wife and daughter have been called all sorts of names, and even our faith has been attacked.  I have never seen the left so energized in my entire lifetime, but meanwhile those of us that are trying to move the United States in a more conservative direction are facing an uphill battle when it comes to raising funds.

If you believe that people like me should be running for Congress, I hope that you will support my campaign financially.  Since there is no incumbent running in my district, the race is completely wide open, and if I raise enough money I will win because I have the strongest message by a very wide margin.

So far we have created a tremendous amount of buzz all over the district.  On Friday I was down in Coeur d’Alene, and there are some wonderful conservative people down there that are super excited that I am running.  Everywhere we go we are finding that voters are resonating with my extremely conservative message, and if I have enough resources to get this message to every voter in the district, there is no way that I should lose this race.
But of course not everybody is pleased by all the buzz I am creating.

If I win this election, I am very rapidly going to become one of the most hated members of Congress in the entire country.  And the reason why I will be hated so much is because I will be what the left fears the most – a conservative with a backbone.

In the end, this is not a battle about tax rates, the size of government or how to fix our economy.  All of those are very important issues, but at the core this is a fight for the soul of our nation.

Over the past 100 years, we have seen big government leftists take power all over the world.  The “progressives” of today are driven by the same philosophies and are using the same tactics as the communists of the USSR, the brownshirts of Nazi Germany (Nazi: National Socialists), and the Maoists of Red China.  At this moment the “progressives” dominate most of the political systems on the entire planet, and they would love to fully take control of the United States as well, but there are enough of us that still love liberty and freedom to stand in their way.

In leftist societies, big government rapidly becomes the centerpiece of society.  And that is one reason why so many of these big government systems are so godless, because government essentially takes the place of God over time.

Two diametrically opposed worldviews are clashing in our country right now, and eventually one of those worldviews will be vanquished by the other.

For those of us that still believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the “progressives” of today are an existential threat.  If the left gets enough power, they will criminalize what we believe by making it “hate speech”.  Sadly, this is already starting to happen in local communities all over America.  And online, a number of social media companies have been making a renewed effort to censor conservative voices in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s surprise election victory last November.  They see how powerful the alternative media has become and they want to shut us up.

Unfortunately, I am seeing a lot of apathy among conservatives right now.  They seem to think that the battle is over because we got Donald Trump into the White House.  What they don’t understand is that the battle is just beginning.  We need people to stand up and fight like never before, and this is something that I talk about in my brand new book entitled “Living A Life That Really Matters”.  If America does not change direction immediately, there isn’t going to be an America.

And actually that is going to be one of my major themes when I speak at Pastor Benjamin Faircloth’s church in Lavonia, Georgia later in August.  The “What’s Next Prophecy Conference” will be held on Saturday, August 19th and Sunday, August 20th, and it will also be available online for those that are not able to make it in person…

If you live anywhere near Lavonia, I hope that you will come and join us.  This is going to be one of my very few opportunities to travel out of state in the near future, because I am going to be spending almost all of my time traveling all over Idaho for my campaign.

You know, I have actually been criticized by certain Christians for moving into the world of politics.  They seem to believe that “ministry” can only be done in a “church”, and that therefore trying to take my message to a national platform in Washington D.C. must be a “mistake”.

But all I can tell them is that I must do what I feel like God is leading me to do.  And thankfully so many others out there have rallied to my cause and have donated to my campaign.  So far, the leading fundraiser in this race is an attorney from the Boise area named Dave Leroy, and in just four weeks I have already had far more donors than he did during the entire second quarter.  But because he is getting those big $1000 and $2000 checks and I am raising money $10 and $20 at a time, I have a gap to make up.

If you believe in what I am trying to do, I would like to ask for your help.  I am the most conservative candidate in this race by a very wide margin, and it is absolutely imperative that we fill this open seat with a very strong conservative that will relentlessly fight for liberty and freedom.

Most people don’t understand that you do not just vote at the ballot box.  The truth is that you also vote when you decide who to support financially.  So many Americans wouldn’t think twice about spending 20 bucks at a fast food place, but they will never even consider contributing that much toward the fight for the future of our nation.

Every generation of Americans has had to fight for liberty and freedom, and now it is our turn.  My family is putting so much on the line in this race, but there is no possible way that we will be successful without your help.  If you would like to contribute to this fight, you can do so right here or by using a contribution form on my website.  Thank you so much for standing with me, and if we all work together I believe that we will be able to accomplish truly great things…

Israel and the Nations: A Theological Opinion, Part 1 - Ron Cantor Messiah's Mandate

Israel and the Nations: A Theological Opinion, Part 1

Ron Cantor —  August 4, 2017

Often, well-meaning, Israel-loving people will say to me, “I am Jewish now. I am grafted in.” I never, ever say anything close to, “No, you’re not Jewish.” I focus more on how grateful I am that they love God and pray for the Jewish people. However, it is interesting that the Church went from saying, “You can’t be Jewish and believe in Jesus,” to, “All believers are Jewish.”
Which is it? What does the Bible actually say? I will make six statements and then seek to back each one up with Scripture, one blog post at a time:
  1. Jews who receive Yeshua remain Jews, just as a females remain female or a male remains a male, after coming to faith.
  2. Gentile simply means a member of the nations. When a member of the nations comes to faith, he does not become Jewish but continues to be a member of his or her nation.
  3. However, Jewish and Gentile believers are equal in the sight of God. Jews are neither favored above Gentiles nor discriminated against, in regards to non-Jews.
  4. Salvation is free, but rewards in the kingdom are based on merit, not ethnicity. Intimacy with God is based on the desire and passion of the individual believer, not whether they are Jew or non-Jew, male or female, etc.
  5. Jewish and non-Jewish believers make up the One New Man—a mystery that was hidden in times past. Paul calls this the household of God. In this household, the Gentile believers become joint-heirs with Jewish believers—without losing their own ethnicity and without replacing the Jewish people.
  6. Ethnicity is important to God, which is why non-Jewish believers do not become Jews or Israelis (Israelites) after coming to faith. They are called to stand in the gap for their nation.

Blog One: Jewish believers are still Jews

The early believers clearly had zero issues with the idea of being Jewish and believing in the Jewish Messiah. The question with which they wrestled was, “Can a Gentile believe in Jesus, without converting to Judaism?” The apostles, through their lives and teaching, give no hint of leaving Judaism. In fact, rumors were being spread about Paul teaching Jewish believers “to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs” (Acts 21:21). Paul, upon the advice of the Jerusalem apostles, went to the Temple to make a sacrifice so that, “everyone will know there is no truth in these reports about you, but that you yourself are living in obedience to the law.” (Acts 21:24)

Church Fathers turn against Jews

However, the Church Fathers in the second century began to teach that once a Jew comes to faith, he is no longer a Jew. Many were vicious in their accusations against the Jewish people. Peter the Venerable wondered about the humanity of Jews: Truly I doubt whether a Jew can be really human.
Ignatius Bishop of Antioch (98-117A.D.) – Epistle to the Magnesians
For if we are still practicing Judaism, we admit that we have not received God’s favor…it is wrong to talk about Jesus Christ and live like Jews. For Christianity did not believe in Judaism, but Judaism in Christianity.
They lined up to accuse the entire Jewish nation of killing Yeshua (forgetting that He laid down his life by His own free will for them.) Another, Justin Martyr taught that Christians were the true “Israelite race” and that the Hebrew Scriptures now belonged to the church exclusively. He did not believe you could be both Christian and Jewish. He also taught that circumcision was for judgement (as opposed to being there mark of the covenant of Abraham).
The purpose of [circumcision] was that you and only you might suffer the afflictions that are now justly yours; that only your land be desolated, and your cities ruined by fire, that the fruits of you land be eaten by strangers before your very eyes; that not one of you be permitted to enter your city of Jerusalem.

Apostles continued to live as Jews

However, it was not like this a century before. Paul continued to identify as a Jew, preaching the Jewish Messiah to the Jew first in every city he went. We never see Paul inviting Jews to enter into another religion. To the Jewish leaders in Rome, he shares, “For this reason I have asked to see you and talk with you. It is because of the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain” (Acts 28:20). Certainly the hope of Israel was not a new religion, but the fulfillment of the Hebrew prophets.
We find Jacob (James) the brother of Yeshua, 30 years after the resurrection, praying daily in the Temple. It was said that he was the most respected Jew in Jerusalem from all the sects of Judaism. He was called the “camel-kneed” for the hours that he spent in prayer for Israel. The evidence is clear that he remained a part of the people of Israel till his death.
When Peter preached on Shavuot (Pentecost), he did not present a new religion, but proclaimed to his exclusively Jewish crowd, salvation and forgiveness through Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah.
Paul says in Romans that the gift and calling of God to Israel is “irrevocable” (Romans 11:29). He says, in Romans 3, that there is “much value” in being Jewish (Romans 3:1-4). Clearly, Jewish believers in Yeshua are still Jewish and part of Israel.

Neither Jew nor Gentile?

What, then, do we make of the oft-quoted Galatians 3:28?
“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua.”
Bible teachers have used this statement to say that Jewish believers are no longer Jews. But they miss one major issue. If that is true, then male and females no longer have distinctions, and yet, I have never been able to get pregnant!
So, what then is the point of his passage? That being in Messiah overshadows our other roles and callings. I live in Israel. We have many Jewish immigrants from all over the world. Suppose I brought all the Jewish people together from so many nations and said, “Today, we are not Americans, Ethiopians, Russians or Argentinians, but we are Israelis!” Technically, that is not true. I am still American even though I am also Israeli. But anyone with common sense would understand my intention—that I am focusing on what unites us.
While our roles/callings are important, none of them bring any special favor with Messiah. In other words, God doesn’t reward me for what he made me. He rewards me according to faithfulness to that calling (Matt. 25:14-30)
Any person—Jew, non-Jew, slave, female, etc., can freely come to Messiah. This was a major difference between the Old and New Covenants and what Paul was so excitedly shared with his Gentile audience: “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence” (Eph. 3:12), no matter what your background, race, class, ethnicity or gender.
So, in Galatians 3, he is not saying something negative about Jews, but something positive about non-Jews—that there are no restrictions keeping them from Messiah. As Peter said, “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right” (Acts 10:34-35).
In the second part, we will address are second statement: Gentile simply means a member of the nations. When a member of the nations comes to faith, he does not become Jewish, but continues to be a member of his or her nation.

Kathie Walters: "How Does God Prepare His Church for Warfare? Laughter!" - THE ELIJAH LIST

Kathie Walters: "How Does God Prepare His Church for Warfare? Laughter!"

THE ELIJAH LIST Aug 6, 2017

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:
A cheerful heart is good medicine (see Proverbs 17:22) and you'll learn a great deal about this in Kathie Walters latest word.
This really is a now prophetic word from Kathie Walters who has a deep understanding of the supernatural. I truly believe God is releasing an incredible wave of laughter across the Body...it's one of the most important keys to break off strongholds and attacks of the enemy as Kathie explains so well in her recent article.
I'll leave you with this excerpt from Kathie:
The laughter and the new wine are like God's anesthetic. Haven't you noticed that when you are drunk in the Spirit you could happily be on the floor for awhile? When you eventually get up, you have a few things missing – maybe a few religious spirits and maybe a sickness is missing? God has to deliver us from weights, so that we can fly at this time. It's a very important time and God is getting us ready for some warfare. Continue reading and you will understand why the laughter is important...

Things Are Birthed in God's Laughter
For several nights I had the same dream: I was in a maternity ward and women were having babies. Instead of yelling, all I could hear was laughing, loud laughing, and then I heard babies being born, laughing and not crying. There are many things that are birthed in God's laughter.
A lot of people don't understand the Holy Ghost laughter. So I want to explain it to you. Oftentimes people get offended when they're in a meeting and laughter breaks out. That's because they have a misunderstanding about God. God loves laughter. In fact, the Bible says that God looks on His enemies and laughs (see Psalm 2.)
God is not worried about the enemy, and He scoffs at the wicked (see Psalm 37:12-13). Our victory is in the spiritual realm first – before you may see or hear in the natural.
The Laughter and the New Wine
"When you apprehend a victory in the spirit – the goodness of God, and the power of God – and bring it into the situation with the laughter, then the victory manifests."
Continue reading and you will understand why the laughter is important.
I'm sure most of you have done this: you've been praying for someone or ministering to them and they are telling you all this awful stuff, and you are quite concerned; but then you suddenly start laughing. The other person looks at you like, "What's wrong with you?" Then you say, "Don't worry about it, it's going to be fine, and it's going to be great." Your spirit picks up on a victory that's happening in the spiritual realm. When you receive something from God, you receive first in the spirit, then you will see it in the natural. That's why Jesus said to, "Believe when you pray, not when you see" (see Mark 11:20-24).
Laughter Breaks In and Breaks Out!
I was speaking at a conference in Wales some years ago and as I looked up, I saw a lot of druid spirits on the people. My thought was, "Oh no! Who's going to help me pray for these people to get set free from this druid stuff?"
I stood up to speak and read a couple of Scriptures and suddenly everyone started to laugh, so I sat down. The laughter went on for about 30 minutes and then in the next couple of hours, I finished the seminar and began to pray for people.
I was thinking of praying against the druid spirits I had seen earlier, but as I started to pray, I realized that the druid spirits had left. The Lord said to me, "Don't bother, the laughter already took care of that." When the laughter came at the beginning, the druid spirits couldn't wait to leave. (Photo via Flickr)
Another time, when I was in the security area in Siberia, entering into the country, the atmosphere was intense, because I think the security officers wanted us to know they were in charge. But an angel showed up and started playfully pushing my friend DeAnne and I around. We couldn't stand up properly and we couldn't stop laughing.
Well, you know God's laughter is catching and soon the security people started laughing. I was handing my passport to the officer behind the desk and he started falling off his chair, like he was drunk. He was laughing so much. The officer assisting DeAnne started laughing too when she handed him her passport. Then a security lady was laughing so much she was kneeling on the floor.
We couldn't speak Siberian and they couldn't speak English – except to say, "Passport," "Visa" and "How long?" The supervisor came running out to see what all the ruckus was about and as he passed me, he put his hand on my back and fell over. After awhile they were all tapping their mouths with their fingers, and saying, "What?"
ElijahList Prophetic Resources
There was an English man there, so I asked him if he understood what they were saying. He said, "Yes, they can taste honey in their mouths." God spoke to me and said, "Yes, and when someone can tell them about Jesus, they will have a good taste in their mouth." He showed me that when someone could tell them about Jesus, they would taste the honey again, so they knew it was something GOOD.
The angels laugh too, I've seen them laugh at religious spirits. Religious spirits hate laughter – now you know why. When you apprehend a victory in the spirit, the goodness of God and the power of God and bring it into the situation with the laughter, then the victory manifests.
Laughter as a Defense
When we pastored a church in Orlando years ago, we began to have a move of the Spirit, but there was one elder who opposed everything. He was very legalistic. He didn't like the liveliness and dancing in the worship. He didn't like the women prophesying, he didn't even like the women to wear make up. He was acting as a "cork" on the bottle of new wine God was giving us.
"Our victory is in the spiritual realm first – before you may see or hear in the natural. "
You know God gives people an opportunity to receive what He's doing, but He doesn't hold back for too long. He also cares about the hungry ones who want more of Him. If the person doesn't receive the deliverance, He will move that person out of the way (as I share in this story below).
Well, this elder was angry at me because he (mostly) blamed me for all the craziness (freedom). He called my house and wanted to see me. He was mad and wanted to meet me at the office. David my husband said, "You don't have to go," but I said, "Oh I don't mind, I'm not intimidated" (although he was a very intimidating man). I went down a couple of days later to keep this appointment.
When I got there he was very angry and his face was red. I sat down and he started ranting, and was angry about all the joy and prophesying, etc. I was sitting there thinking, "A soft answer turns away wrath." I just need to be quiet and say something agreeable. So I sat silently while he really worked himself up. Suddenly I felt these fingers, like feathers, tickling me around my ribs. I knew that it was an angel, and I was silently trying to talk to him, "Stop. This isn't the time for this. Stop." But the angel didn't take any notice and kept tickling me.
I was trying not to laugh. I was trying to look serious, but you know how your face reacts when you're trying not to laugh. The elder looked at me and when he saw I was half smiling, he lost it. He stood up (I'm glad there was a desk between us) and was almost screaming at me. Then I couldn't contain it any more and burst out laughing.
It was the opposite of what I went there to do. He stomped out and slammed the door. He never did come back to the church – he and his wife moved to a "proper" church. A church with a good program and a few traditional songs and a "proper" message, and no women dancing or prophesying. (Photo via Max Pixel)
When I got home, David didn't even ask me what happened. He just said, "I guess we won't be seeing him again." We did not, but we did have a great time and great move of God, so free and Spirit-led, and so many people were delivered, healed and blessed.
A Victory Laugh
"When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, 'The Lord has done great things for them'"(Ps. 126:2). There wasn't anything funny, it was a victory laugh.
God loves it when you receive because then your joy is full (John 16:24). "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us" (2 Cor. 1:20).
"This is the day the Lord has made..." (which day is that? It's every day. He made every day) "...we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Ps. 118:24). Every day is a doorway to an opportunity. All kinds of opportunities are there every day. Every day you can be glad about something, every day you have an opportunity to encourage someone, and say something kind. You can look down at your smart phone right now and send off some encouraging and thankful texts to people. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
