Jewish Israeli Yoav found a source of life that will never run dry! - One For Israel

What did Jesus say at the Feast of Sukkot? - ONE FOR ISRAEL

SHALOM!
This week we are celebrating the Feast of Sukkot, and enjoying a week of rejoicing and family holiday time! Three times a year, all of Israel had to make the trek to Jerusalem for Passover and Shavuot in the Spring, and then Sukkot in the fall. Sukkot means “shelters”, “booths”, or “tabernacles”.This is a feast in which God instructs his people to make a temporary shelter or booth to camp out in for a week.

Yeshua (Jesus), as a Jewish man, also went to Jerusalem like everyone else for Sukkot. But he brought a whole new meaning to it.
Dr. Erez Soref, President
of ONE FOR ISRAEL
God's feasts are called "moedim" in the Bible - the word "moed" meaning appointed time, something that is destined to happen. This is God's purpose, and this is our destiny - to dwell together in perfect union with him. This is the wonderful meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles: a small preview of the last page in God's magnificent story of redemption.
“On the last and greatest day of the festival [Sukkot], Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,
“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
(John 7:37-38)

Yeshua And The Sukkot Water Drawing Festival

Sukkot is an eight-day long feast. That’s a lot of feasting! The first evening and day are special, but the end of the feast even more so. In fact, the last day is the epitome of the Festival of Sukkot. “Hoshana Rabba” (a request for great salvation) is on the seventh day, followed by “Shmini Atzeret” (eighth day of the assembly) and “Simchat Torah” (Joy of the Torah). Yeshua went to celebrate the feast of Sukkot in Jerusalem, and John chapter 7 describes what Yeshua said and did at this climactic time, two millennia ago…
