An Unbreakable Connection ✡ "And I Will Plant Them Upon Their Soil" - Israel365

And I will plant them upon their soil, Nevermore to be uprooted From the soil I have given them —said Hashem your God
Amos 9:15 (The Israel Bible™)

An Unbreakable Connection

Despite the predictions of punishments that will befall the Children of Israel, Amos ends his prophecy with a message of hope. He proclaims that the day will come when the people will return to the Land of Israel, build houses, plant vineyards and trees, and enjoy their fruits. This is reminiscent of the idyllic times described by Micha (4:4) when every man shall sit “Under his grapevine or fig tree with no one to disturb him.” Amos concludes by comparing the people to a sapling planted firmly in the ground. Their connection to the Land of Israel will never again be uprooted. Find this picture and inspiration in the Israel365 2019 Hebrew calendar!

HR

Have you ever had one of those frustrating dreams where you felt like you were running in s-l-o-w motion? You're trying to run somewhere fast, only it's requiring every muscle in your body just to barely move forward a few inches. Or even worse, instead of running s-l-o-w-l-y in the dream, you are frozen in one spot and completely overwhelmed because you can't move. For some, this is just a bad, no-good dream, that probably needs some prayer attention at best. For others, this is not just a dream. It's also how you feel in real life.
Is This You?
• Nothing is moving.
• You're not going forward.
• You spend a lot of energy not getting anywhere at all.
• You are extremely frustrated.
At our last Seers & Prophets Institute with myself, Charlie Shamp, and Jeff Jansen at Harvest Christian Center in Turlock CA, we had a prophetic word emerge that carried the breath of Heaven on it. It came forth as three very clear and simple points over a period of three days with one point being revealed to me each day. Keep in mind this simple, but anointed word emerged in the midst of several miracles of glory.
People were being caught up to Heaven, miraculous money began showing up in some of the attendees' bank accounts, and around a dozen people had supernatural gold teeth appear in their mouths! In the midst of the flow of glorious miracles, this very simple prophetic word had such life on it that it "changed everything" was the repeated testimony.
Unstuck
The first word I heard was, "UNSTUCK." You've probably heard other ministers say this exact same word before. Me too, only it was more of an exhortation than a prophetic word. When I spoke it out at the institute, however, there was a transformational power released. You could feel emotional and spiritual ropes melting away as I spoke it out. It was also strongly connected to the thought of your divine calling and making the personal decision to answer the call of God on your life. (Photo via Unsplash)
Did you know that everyone has an individual calling from God? This is different from our general calling as Believers. For example, we are all called to be holy and all called to be disciples of Christ. At the same time, some are individually called of Christ to be apostles or prophets or something else in the Body of Christ. Also, there are many people who can write, lead, and teach on some level. But then some have a heavenly mandate upon their lives and are supernaturally anointed to be writers, educators, or business and government leaders. If you are unsure about your individual calling, I want to encourage you to seek the Lord about this and He will faithfully reveal it to you.
To step into this word, I believe you do need to settle your individual calling from God, a calling that began in eternity. Your calling is something He wrote about it in your book before you ever got here and before time began (Ps. 139:16). HOW we respond to our calling will also result in heavenly rewards once we've died and left this earth (1 Cor. 3:13-15). This makes our individual calling a holy and supernatural calling as well as an upward calling. No matter what life looks like now, when you decide to say "yes" to the call of God on your life, your calling will supernaturally lift you upward and out of the most difficult situations.
Can't You Talk Louder, God?
Take the Next Step
The second thing He said me on the second day of the Institute was to, "Take the next step." Too often we see the bigness of our calling in God and become overwhelmed by it. We also become frustrated when things haven't happened fast enough or the way we thought it should. Here, we have to be careful to keep our hearts and minds positioned on the promise and not let hopelessness set in.
Remember that the calling of God on your life is always impossible; you can't do it without Him, but you can do the impossible with Him. Instead of being frustrated over the big picture, He is counseling us to ask Him for the next step. Whatever that next step is, faithfully step into it. It might be something out of reach at the moment, but your assignment is to work with Him to just take the next step. And then step-by-step you will eventually enter into the bigness of your calling in God.
Upgrade
The third thing He said to me on the third day of the institute was, "Upgrade."Did you know there is an actual anointing for upgrade? We read about this very thing in the life of King David. David was called to be the king of Israel and anointed by the prophet Samuel as such. When you are anointed for something, you are given a supernatural ability by the Holy Spirit to do something you couldn't do before. Once he was anointed, we see how David went from being unknown and overlooked to a famous giant killer and the king's son-in-law. It seemed like this first anointing kick-started him toward his ultimate direction, but he would need more to reach his final destination.
After 15 tumultuous years, David was anointed a second time and became king over the men of Judah. David came from the line of Judah and although Israel was not ready to receive him as their king just yet, Judah was finally ready. After another extremely difficult five years, King Saul died and David was anointed again, now as the king of Israel and into the fullness of his calling.
Recognize that your calling does not come all at once, but in steps and stages. The reality is you are not ready for the fullness of your calling at the onset, and the people you will ultimately serve are not ready for you either. There is a progression to your calling. Nevertheless, at the right time the Holy Spirit anoints you, again and again as needed, to help you reach your final destination. (Photo via Unsplash)
As I prayed for people at the institute for various things, I sensed there was one upgrade anointing in particular that the Holy Spirit wanted to release. He wanted to anoint His prophets and seers with the ability to write. Obviously, they all knew how to write, but an anointed writer is different than an ordinary writer. They write like the scrolls of Heaven and prophesy in written form.
As I called this anointing out, I suddenly felt "pens" jumping out of my tongue and then flying out my mouth towards people. As this happened, I observed several people fly back and onto the ground having become anointed and slain by the "pen" of the Spirit. I believe He had genuinely anointed them with the "tongue of the pen of the ready writer" (Ps. 45:1). And many reported as such as they busily began their books and curriculum following the institute.
As we close out 2018 and head into an even more glorious 2019, His word to us is that the river is moving again. You are getting unstuck. Now ask Him for your next step and as you take that next step He will anoint you for the upgrade. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Billy Graham's Prescient Warning From 1962 - MICHAEL BROWN CHARISMA NEWS

Thanksgiving is one of the most special family times of the year. The roads are packed with travelers, and the airlines are at full capacity as grandparents, parents, children and other relatives journey across the country to spend a few days together. And that leads me to reflect on a very simple question: Is America more family-friendly today than it was in the fairly recent past? Are we, in 2018, more innocent or less innocent than we were, say, in 1962?
The opening lines of a 2012 article in The Saturday Evening Post say it all: "How much has America changed in the past 50 years? Imagine kids in American public schools now starting each day with a prayer."
Imagine!
Without a doubt, America was far from perfect in the early 1960s. In much of the nation segregation was the law of the land, and women certainly had far fewer opportunities than men, just to mention two of society's most glaring inequities. And it's true that the first issue of Playboy, featuring Marilyn Monroe in the nude, was published in 1953.

At the same time, there's no denying that America back then was a far more innocent, family-friendly country than it is today.
And so, 50-plus years ago, when we sat together and watched Leave It to Beaver, we didn't say to ourselves, "How corny! There's not a family in the nation like the Cleavers." Instead, it was as normal to us as it was entertaining (at least, it seemed to normal to many of us growing up in many parts of the country).
In a word, Americans in the late '50s to early '60s enjoyed watching Father Knows Bestand The Andy Griffith Show. Today, we enjoy watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Secret Diary of a Call Girl. (For the record, in contrast with Bruce-Caitlyn Jenner, the patriarch of the Kardashian family, Robert Young, who played the father on Father Knows Best, was never crowned "woman of the year.")
In the late '50s to early '60s, Annette Funicello was a popular, young female star singing songs like "Pineapple Princess." Today it's Miley Cyrus, singing songs like "Wrecking Ball"in the nude, riding a wrecking ball, on her music video.
What happened to our nation? How did things change so radically? Is there a spiritual answer that compliments the many valid, sociological answers?
Allow me to present a spiritual perspective.
Christian historian David Barton has argued that America suffered a steep decline in morality and education once organized public prayer was removed from our schools in June 1962. (For example, see this article on declining SAT scores, with relevant links. You can be the judge.)
For many years, this 22-word prayer had been prayed corporately by millions of schoolchildren: "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence on Thee and beg Thy blessing over us, our parents, our teachers and our nation."
In religious terms, it was generic (a Jewish child could say the words as readily as a Christian child), and the child of an atheist could choose to remain silent.
Still, without any clear legal precedent, the Supreme Court ruled against the prayer, and that has been the law of the land ever since.
What did Billy Graham have to say about this?
Early in 1962, he warned readers of the Postthat, "The issue of prayers in public schools is now before the Supreme Court and, if the Court decrees negatively, another victory will be gained by those forces which conspire to remove faith in God from the public conscience.
"American democracy rests on the belief in the reality of God and His respect for the individual. Ours is a freedom under law. But it is also a freedom that will evaporate if the religious foundations upon which it has been built are taken away."
He believed that the attempt to remove school prayer was part of "a movement gathering momentum in America to take the traditional concept of God out of our national life. If this movement succeeds, 'In God We Trust' will be taken from our coins, the Bible will be removed from our courtrooms, future presidents will be sworn into office with their hand on a copy of the Constitution instead of the Bible and chaplains will be removed from the Armed Forces."
He also argued that, "The Preamble of our national Constitution speaks of 'the blessings of liberty.' The men at Philadelphia could never have written that document if they had not had faith in God."
Was he right?
On the one hand, presidents still swear on the Bible when taking their oath, Bibles are still present in our courtrooms, "In God We Trust" is still on our coins and chaplains are still in our Armed Forces.
On the other hand, our essential Christian freedoms are under constant assault, and in spirit, the Bible is being increasingly removed from our courtrooms.
As for our Armed Forces, could Rev. Graham have imagined a military that paid for sex-change surgery for transgenders and that penalized chaplains for refusing to facilitate a same-sex "marriage"? And how about this for a headline? "Religious Freedom of Military Chaplains Under Attack for Event Saying Religious Freedom of Military Chaplains Is Under Attack."
In my view, Billy Graham was absolutely right in describing "a movement gathering momentum in America" which desired "to take the traditional concept of God out of our national life."
But there is a solution, and it is not found in simply bashing those who differ with our views. Instead, if each of us who claims to really know the Lord can demonstrate the beauty of our faith to a watching world, we can show the nation that God, in fact, has a better way.
Let's do it during this holiday season, let's continue through the end of the year, and let's make 2019 a year when millions of Americans see our faith and are provoked to turn to the Lord themselves.
Only a vibrant, consistent, holistic, life-giving movement like this can turn the negative tide.
