Hi Ho Silvers! - Now Think On This message by Steve Martin - Love For His People, Inc

Feb. 7, 2019

Greetings my friends!

What a week it has been, as I write this and consider what the Lord has done! What else should we expect from our Awesome God, the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach. I know of none other but the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is so!

This past Sunday Laurie and I had the great joy of once again sharing the gift of music He has given us. When I sent out this testimony of that time, The Silvers Are Back!, our longtime friend Doug Goff wrote back with the words, "Hi Ho Silvers!" (I loved it so much I had to share his wording response with you.)

In that "Silver" message itself I include a dream our friend Lisa Antonson (always the first to respond to these emails!) wrote just a week earlier regarding our new location in life. You will have to read it for yourself here The Silvers... (See how I am trying to get you to click on the link?! I always loved being the older brother, teasing my five sisters growing up - Sue, Mary, Colleen, Janet and Lynn! All are loved and treasured to this day.)

Earlier this week I also posted my latest Now Think On This message, entitled, What Say You?Did you know that each of us will be giving an account of what comes out of our mouths? Yes we will. This message might give your further cause to be more aware of what you say. What Say You? When I dared others when I wrote last time to read something, they did. Will you now?

I truly hope these words I share through my Now Think On This messages encourage you. I know the Lord gives me the inspiration to write them, being He continues to do so, even with the most recent Now Think On This message being the 388th I have written since my return trip from Israel in October 2010. (Laurie and I are greatly looking forward to the May 1-10 Israel trip to visit our friends and encourage them with our support. My 20th trip in the past decades, bringing His love and joy.)

Be blessed even as you do so, with ahava (love) and shalom (peace),

Steve Martin

P.S. Our annual ministry board meeting, with our 17 members, is this weekend. As Founder/President of Love For His People, I completed our annual report in January, of the past year 2018. I rejoice at how many are interested in reading it, seeing how the Lord enables and always provides, as we are faithful with what we have been given.

We are very transparent in how the finances are received and given out. Most people want to know that, so they have trust as they give. See what we have done with His provision and empowerment to bless Israel and His people in the nations.

“Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, "Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead." And His disciples asked Him, saying, "Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?" Jesus answered and said to them, "Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.” (Matthew 17:9-12, NKJV)

After more than 21 years...it is time to be back.
The silver-hairs are BACK AT IT!

I just want to share this testimony, for it has become a fulfilled hope and promised day for us. I strongly believe it will also be an encouragement for many others who think the time has come and gone.

On Feb. 3, 2019, Laurie and I were once again on a Sunday morning church worship team. It had been almost six years since the last time that had happened.

By then it had gotten to the point where we thought our time was done. The days were over. The years had come and moved on. We didn't sing in public since August 2013 - the last time with our group Ahava Love Band at a One New Man Saturday night meeting with Warren Marcus.

In fact, at times we considered, if not aloud but to ourselves, "Let the others do it now. I've done my part. I am tired, old, and time has passed." I can speak for myself, that this thought was just to cover up the longing I still had from the Lord to lead others into worship. And now that it seemed to have finished, I wanted the inner longing to stop. It almost was as if I didn't want to think about it, for it didn't seem that it would happen again.

The Bible speaks of that happening to others. They have a call from the Lord, they do it for a time, and then they are set aside; distracted into other areas, or just quit out of discouragement and "lack of use".

But the Lord has His plans, His purposes, and His faith, which is bigger than ours. If the time is not over with Him, then it is not over with us. That which He has put in each of us may have been buried for a while, and even considered as dead. But it is only taking more process time to pressure the soft coal into a hard diamond, more so to enable the finest to come forth, beyond what would have done if completed earlier ahead of its time.

And the rest of the story…

Another very important part of this restoration concerns the building that we sang in – the former Heritage USA/PTL Barn (Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker ministry). In November of 1997, I was the Administrator of All Nations Church/Mahesh Chavda Ministries (Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda), which had relocated from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Charlotte, NC on July 3, 1994.

(Full details of this have been written in my book The Promise - One Man's Journey To See God's Word Revealed, published in April 2014 through Martin Lighthouse Publishing. Available by clicking on the title. Also, read more in my book Prophetic Stories - Signs Along the Way). See below.

Having administrated many conferences since the beginning of my time with that ministry, in August 1987, (a grand total of exactly 40 in the 14 years I served with them) we had scheduled a national conference with the then current owners of the former Heritage USA property, to be held in mid-November 1997. The New Heritage USA (as it had been renamed) Barn venue was the specific location. (Be sure to read the rest: The Silvers Are Back!)

Even as He spoke to the prophets of old in Israel, continuing through Jesus’ time on earth, and with the early church, the Lord is fulfilling His promise. His Eternal Word that He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh, and we would prophesy. Prophesy comes in many ways – through the spoken word, signs, dreams, visions, tongues. All are used by the Lord to speak to His people, give them guidance along the way, and show His provision for the plans He has for us.

As we walk along His path chosen for us, He desires to encourage and reveal His plans to us. He most certainly uses His Written Word. He also uses prophetic words. Here are a few that He has given to me. I am continually amazed at how He speaks, how He directs, and the assuring results of His guidance. We need the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating in these times. As the Bible says, He desires that all would prophesy, in order to assist believers in knowing His will, and speaking to non-believers that we serve an All-Knowing God, Who shows us the way.

The gifts of prophecy, seeing signs and wonders, and experiencing His love through His fascinating methods is for all. I hope you are encouraged in seeking Him as you read these stores of how He moved in my life. Steve Martin

Aborted Baby Parts Are Being Grafted On To Mice In Bizarre Scientific Experiments – And The U.S. Government Is Paying For It - Michael Snyder

Aborted Baby Parts Are Being Grafted On To Mice In Bizarre Scientific Experiments – And The U.S. Government Is Paying For It - Michael Snyder
Feb. 6, 2019
Is it okay for the U.S. government to pay for scientific experiments involving bizarre mouse/human hybrid creatures that were created by grafting aborted baby parts on to mice?  Needless to say, the answer to that question is self-evident.  Our tax dollars are being used to fund experiments that are so sickening that it is difficult to find words to describe how evil they are.  What you are about to read is deeply unsettling, but we must get the word out about this, because most Americans have no idea that this is happening.  And we must do everything in our power to stop this, because there is no future for any nation that engages in this sort of extreme evil.

By this point, most people know that Planned Parenthood sells aborted baby parts to the scientific community.  But now we have learned that sickening experiments are being performed that involve fusing aborted baby parts on to mice.  The following comes from a bombshell report by the Sun
ABORTED babies are being used in macabre experiments in the US that involve grafting dead fetus parts onto mice which are then used to test drugs.
Documents seen by Sun Online outline procedures that involve cutting out glands and livers of unborn children and then fusing them onto lab rodents.
As a result of these experiments, the “humanized mice” actually develop “human-like immunity”.  This is how it works
A so-called “humanised mouse” is created by first destroying a rodents immune system by subjecting it to radiation.
Livers or the thymus glands are then fused with them.
In about 10 weeks the mice develop human-like immunity and are ready to be experimented on.
The federal government could outlaw such experiments, but that has not happened.
Instead, the federal government has actually been pouring millions of dollars into such research
The controversial use of body parts is being spearheaded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is part of the American government which is ploughing $98million (£75m) of taxpayers’ money into using aborted babies in the name of science.
But addressing Congress in December, NIH director Francis Collins defended the practice.
He said: “There is strong evidence that scientific benefits come from fetal tissue research, [which] can be done with an ethical framework.”
Francis Collins is an absolute disgrace, and he should immediately be fired and banned from ever working for the government again.

Of course now that the Democrats control the U.S. House of Representatives, Congress is not going to ban these experiments.

But the Republicans had control of both houses of Congress for two years, and they did nothing.  This is why we need a new generation of conservative leaders in Congress.

Thankfully, we have a president that is starting to make pro-life issues a more central part of his agenda, and that was reflected in his State of the Union address
“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our Nation saw in recent days. Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments before birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world. And then, we had the case of the Governor of Virginia where he basically stated he would execute a baby after birth,” Trump said.
“To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking the Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb. Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life. And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth: all children—born and unborn—are made in the holy image of God,” Trump said.
I honestly do not know how many of these radical pro-abortion leftists can look at themselves in the mirror.

Legalizing abortion up to the moment of birth was not enough for some of them, and so now some activists have been pushing for “post-birth” abortions.

In other words, they want to legalize infanticide.

And why stop there?  In the end, where will they ultimately decide to draw the line?  In one of his recent articles, Mike Adams posed some very important questions
What is the age after birth at which Democrats think murdering a child should no longer be allowed? Is post-birth “abortion” (murder) to be legalized up to 100 days? Two years? Five years? If it’s a “woman’s choice,” then can’t the woman make that choice at any age, according to the twisted logic of Leftists?
We are a nation that has already killed 60 million children, and if we keep doing this there will be no future for America.

More abortions are performed at Planned Parenthood than anywhere else, and the federal government gives Planned Parenthood approximately 500 million dollars every year.

Planned Parenthood sells aborted baby parts to the highest bidder, and those baby parts are being used in some of the sickest scientific experiments imaginable.

In addition to funding Planned Parenthood, the federal government also spends millions of dollars each year funding those experiments.

As you fill out your tax return this year, take a few moments to think about where those tax dollars are going.

Our nation is doing things that are unspeakably evil, and the federal government is funding those practices every step of the way.

New Palestinian 'Christian' President is a Fan of Israel - Israel Today

New Palestinian 'Christian' President is a Fan of Israel

Wednesday, February 06, 2019 |  Israel Today Staff
El Salvador's new president is an Arab of "Palestinian" descent. He's also a fan of the Jewish state.
The small Central American nation is home to a community of 100,000 Palestinian migrants. While it is unclear how most of them view the Israel-Palestinian conflict, what we do know is that President-elect Nayib Bukele has no problem building relations with the Jewish state.
A year ago, in February 2018, at a time when many of his political contemporaries were cozying up to Venezuela and Cuba to spite US President Donald Trump, Bukele chose to visit Jerusalem.
While here, the then-mayor of El Salvador's capital, San Salvador, met with his counterpart, then-Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat. He also laid a memorial wreath at Yad Vashem and prayed at the Western Wall.

Arab media reported that Bukele faced harsh criticism from Palestinians in El Salvador over his "normalization" with Israel. It also seems that he was vilified, possibly by conservative Catholic elements, for visiting a mosque.
In a Facebook post addressing what he called these "dirty" campaign tactics, Bukele insisted that he was simply not "religious," and therefore had no problem visiting the Dome of the Rock, the Vatican and the Western Wall.
However, while he has problems with organized religion, Bukele stressed that he does believe in Jesus and relies upon the Word of God to guide his life.
"I respect all religions, and those who wish to believe in them, but I believe that the relationship with God is personal, I believe that no one is saved in groups, but that salvation is obtained individually," wrote El Salvador's new leader. "That's why I've accepted Jesus Christ, that's why I read the Word of God written in the Bible when I feel confused or need guidance, that's why I ask Yahweh for the wisdom he gave to Solomon, though I know I'll never be so wise. That's why I believe deeply in God and in his kingdom, but I don't consider myself religious."

What Say You? Now Think On This by Steve Martin

What Say You?
Steve Martin

"But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man;” (Jesus, from Matthew 15:18-20, NASU)

For this message, I will get right to the point.

The ones who criticize others generally don’t pray for others. If you are continually praying for someone or some situation, you will not be critical of them or that. But rather you will want good to come to about, rather than evil because your heart now cares for them.

When you pray for another, rather than tear them down, it gives the Lord the opportunity to change their heart too, because you are no longer joining with Satan in accusing them.

“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.”
(Revelation 12:10-11, NASU)

What is your prayer life like? Or does your criticism rule your life?

In the past, I regret and repented of those times when I spoke evil against another, be it in the religious, secular, or political arenas. It didn’t matter if it was directly or behind their back.

Even if I “may have been in the right” in speaking out against a wrong done by the other, if my heart wasn’t right, then the spoken word from the heart didn’t make it right.

Louis & Lila Martin
Personally, I am a very quiet man. Some because of the way I was raised with my dad. He too was a quiet man. Another reason is that I am very aware that we will give an account for every word we speak.
Paul wrote to those in Rome, who had every right to rail against the government, the rulers, or those who were feeding them to the lions. He told them not even of their believing brother (or sister) are they to judge one another.
“But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
For it is written, "AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD." So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:10-12, NASU)

It is not just in the latter part of God’s Word, which some Christians only read (the New Testament), but even in the times of the prophets and kings, the instruction was given from heaven to watch your mouth.

“The words of a man’s mouth are deep water, a gushing torrent, a fountain of wisdom. It is not good to be partial to the guilty and thus deprive the innocent of justice. A fool’s words get him into fights; yes, his mouth calls out for a beating. A fool’s mouth is his ruin; his words are a trap for him. A slanderer’s words are tasty morsels; they slide right down into the belly.”
(Proverbs 18:4-8, Complete Jewish Bible)

Have you ever cringed when you hear another speak badly against another? Doesn’t it affect your spirit to stand and listen, and take part in it also? I have gotten to the point where my heart grieves, especially when a believer rails against another believer, whether it be the rabbi, pastor, elected official, teacher. It seems no one in our “exemplary society” is exempt from being cursed, ridiculed, or maligned by another. After all, it is our right, is it not? Free speech you say?

Is it really our right to spout off against anyone or anything? I think not. That is what the Bible declares also.

Next time you have the urge, the temptation, the opportunity to speak against another, stop for a moment and realize your words bring death, not lift.

Have we forgotten the old saying, “If words could kill, I would be dead.”

And I still have to remember, when being on the receiving side of the cursing and criticism, to recite these words that my good mother taught me when growing up, “Stick and stones may break my bones but words may never harm me.” And yet, sad to say, they really do. It is because our words spoken against another gives the enemy of our soul ammunition to tear further down that one which we have just aligned our self with the devil.

May we not find ourselves being on Satan’s side. If we stand accusing others, then we have already done so.

As quoted above from Scripture, Satan stands before God, as he did back then in regard to the righteous man Job, and continues to do so now, day and night, accusing the saints of God. Do we align ourselves with him, or stand with our brothers and sisters because they too are the ones whom Jesus our Lord, the Messiah, bled and died for?

Stop the criticism. Repent of the critical spirit. Get your act together as the family of God should be so we can get on with what He has given us the job to do.

Pray for your rabbi. Pray for your pastor. What kind of burden do they have to carry each day, caring for your good? And especially pray for the worship leaders and cantors, even if they don’t always sing your favorite verse or song every Saturday or Sunday, especially the way you would. (If only they were as perfect as you are.)

As the Bible also says, pray also for our political leaders. We all know that they need the wisdom and righteous of the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) working in and through their minds, hearts, and souls.

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-5, NKJV)

Pray for others. Life them up, and cease being among those who are tearing down.

I like what Toby Mac sings, “Speak life!”

So, as they say here in the South (and maybe elsewhere?) - “What say you?”

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, IFCJ Founder Who United Christians and Jews, Passes Away at 67 - CBN News Emily Jones

Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, founder of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, in a
2015 interview on The 700 Club.

02-06-2019

CBN News Emily Jones
JERUSALEM, Israel — Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, the beloved founder of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, suddenly passed away Wednesday. He was 67 years old.
The charismatic rabbi leaves behind a long legacy of philanthropy and robust interfaith partnerships between Christians and the Jewish people.
When Rabbi Eckstein founded The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews in 1983, his goal was simple: to build bridges of understanding between Christians and Jews, and to show Christians how to reestablish their biblical connection to the land of Israel and the Jewish people.
For more than three decades, IFCJ has far exceeded expectations. Not only is the organization a leader in Jewish-Christian relations, but it has also helped thousands of Jews around the world escape poverty and anti-Semitism and return to their biblical homeland — Israel.
The organization has funded humanitarian assistance that has touched millions of Jews worldwide. IFCJ raises about $140 million a year, making it one of Israel's largest humanitarian organizations.
Overall, the organization has raised more than $1.4 billion, mostly from evangelical Christians.
Those funds go towards Holocaust survivors, social programs, hospitals, and even bomb shelters for those affected by conflicts with Hamas.
Eckstein served on the faculties of Columbia University, Chicago Theological Seminary, and Northern Baptist Seminary. He also held positions on the executive board of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and the Anti-Defamation League.
He was named several times on Newsweek's list of the 50 Most Influential Rabbis in the US and is considered one of the most influential Jews in the world.
Chairman of the Jewish Agency Isaac Herzog responded to news of Eckstein's death saying, "The Jewish people in Israel and the Diaspora (have) lost this evening a leader who worked for us for many years through his wonderful life's work which he established with his own hands."
CBN Founder Pat Robertson honored Eckstein, saying,
"Words cannot express the sorrow I feel at the untimely passing of my dear friend, Yechiel Eckstein.  Yechiel has been a pioneer and champion of Christian/Jewish relations for decades.  We have worked together on many projects, and the success of his organization attests to compassion that he feels for his fellow Jews who suffer in poverty in various parts of the world.  I am sure I echo the words of our Lord, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.  Enter into the joy of your Lord.'"
And Dr. Jürgen Bühler, president of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, issued the following statement:
"The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem mourns the sudden passing of Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein and pays tribute to this unique pioneer and visionary of closer Jewish-Christian relations. Rabbi Eckstein foresaw, like few other Jewish leaders did, the strategic importance to Israel and the Jewish people of forging ties with the global Evangelical community. The generous aid that he gathered from Christians around the world brought vital assistance and tremendous blessings to countless Israelis. The ICEJ extends our most sincere condolences to the Eckstein family. His daughter, Yael, and the Fellowship he founded can be proud of the great legacy of kindness and caring which he has left in their hands."
Eckstein's funeral will take place Thursday in Jerusalem. More details will follow.
