Who Do You Trust? by Steve Martin, Love For His People ministry

Who do you trust? What person, news outlet, organization can you look to, believe in, and put your trust in, knowing they are telling the truth?

Not Congress. Probably now has the lowest approval rating in decades.

Not the President. If they ever would have allowed the actual facts to be presented from the previous national election, this one in that position wouldn’t be there.

School teachers? Their unions oppose opening the schools for “safety” reasons – when science has already stated that having kids back in school is not a super-spreader of the China virus.

Even many religious leaders don’t or won’t teach and preach the truth, fearing loss of income needed to finance the huge TV program budget, the big campus buildings, the high staff payrolls, starting at the top.

So, who do you trust?

With the ever-changing social culture around us, whether it be “woke”, “cancel culture”, or any other movement proclaiming whose lives matter, there must be a foundation, a long-founded basis on which to place one’s belief and confidence in. And there is.

It is the Bible. It is the Word of God. It is that which has been given to us, written by the Jewish prophets, the Jewish patriarchs, those believers in the One God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, to record and pass on the truth on which we are to base our lives.

We can trust God Who gave us His Word.

In these days of continuing wavering, mistrust, and unfounded proclamations being thrown out there and stated to be truth, all that is said and done must be weighed against the standard on which all must be tested. If it is not in the Bible and stated as truth, then it is not truth.

Anyone who stands up and declares an opinion cannot be trusted if that opinion goes against the Word of God. They can denounce His Word. They can say it is not so. They can attempt to replace His foundation truths with their own laws and decrees, but when it is all said and done, only His Word will have the capacity to stand. All else will fail.

Growing up during my high school days, I found comfort and confidence in knowing that if the world was going one way, I was meant to go the other. If society were presenting a new thought or idea in behavior and “never before seen or heard” way of life, I could be very sure that when compared to the Word of God, it was the wrong way. By God’s grace He kept many of us from going down the wrong path.

And so it is today. Whatever new logic, new concept, or new “gospel” is presented to us, we must continually base our actions and reactions on the foundation written in the Bible and act accordingly. If it means to stand on what others would call old and outdated ideals, and label us with every name they can think of, then so be it.

Jesus, Yeshua states plainly of our times in which we must decide on whom we will trust.

“I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” Revelation 3:8, NASU

Don’t back down when confronted with the latest craze of societal, political, or religious thought that goes against the written Word of God. If we deny Him, He will deny us.

“If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” 2 Timothy 2:12-13, NKJV

We are the ones being called upon to hold the line, to defend the truth, to keep pushing for righteousness and justice in our lands. We cannot grow weary and lose heart, for our God is continually for us.

I HEARD THE LORD SAY “THE VISION IS BIGGER THAN YOU REALISE” By Lana Vawser

 

Mar 07, 2021 12:39 am Recently, I heard the Lord say “The vision is bigger than you realise” and I began to see many had written down into their journals “vision” that the Lord has spoken to them for right now and for what is to come. Suddenly, I began to see a mighty wind that began to blow around them, but what I realised was that it was an “opposing wind”. The Lord showed me that many have been receiving greater clarity and definition to the vision that the Lord has for them for this season and for their lives and then out of nowhere, there has been an ‘opposing wind’ that has come to attempt to hinder the vision. I heard the Lord speaking over these ones and He said “This opposing wind has come to knock the wind out of their sails’ because they are about to fly higher with Me than they have ever flown. The vision is about to take off into new heights and new ways and the enemy has come to hinder the place of soaring and keep many contained, constricted, confused, and feeling like they are living in a place of chaos. The vision is bigger than they think, the vision is SO much bigger than they think and the enemy has come with an opposing wind to knock the wind out of their sails, but I am coming with a mighty second wind to cause them to fly higher, see further and partner with Me in such deeper ways in all that I am doing in and through them.” The Lord continued to speak “It’s time for EAGLE EYED FOCUS. It’s time for eagle-eyed vision. There is such extension and depth of vision that the Lord is bringing, there is such an extension of vision that is taking place right now that as My people spend time at My feet and make room to be ferociously focused on Me, that I am bringing HIGHER DEFINITION to the vision and the enemy is TERRIFIED. The movement of vision was beginning to take greater traction and the opposing wind then came to attempt to knock the wind out of many of My people’s sails, but I am saying that movements that are being deposited and birthed within them is going to come forth in such explosive ways in clarity of vision and breakthrough.”  I HEARD THE WORDS “HARVEST, HARVEST, HARVEST”  I heard the words surrounding me “harvest, harvest, harvest” and the Lord showed me that the vision He has given to many, the specific strategies contained within the vision, and partnering with His wisdom and His ways was leading many into new realms of harvest in their own personal lives, they were being led into their place of greater inheritance of the promises spoken to them by the Lord and the enemy is opposing it greatly, but the Lord is faithful to do what He said He is going to do and as these ones partner with the vision that the Lord has given them and refuse to move and refuse to bow from what He has said and entertain the ‘opposing wind’, that there is such a breaking of the opposing wind and a second wind of the Holy Spirit is blowing strongly to bring forth greater empowerment, strengthening and refreshing to hearts as they RUN into the harvest of His faithfulness manifested and promises fulfilled. The enemy has fought hard at the gates of many of your harvest, but you are overcoming by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit as you ferociously focus on the vision/s He has given you. I heard the Lord say “Be like a dog with a bone with the vision I have given you, ferociously guard the vision, ferociously protect the vision, ferociously focus on the vision I have given you and listen nor look at the opposing wind, follow what I have spoken to you, you are moving into a great harvest. (Song of Songs 2:11-13)  THE VISION/S ARE NETS FOR HARVEST   The Lord showed me that the vision/s He has been releasing, divine strategy, and wisdom are nets for harvest. In the partnering with the vision/s the Lord has been releasing and remaining firm upon them and moving in obedience to what He is saying, He has been creating nets for harvest. Some of these areas where the enemy has come with an opposing wind against the vision/s the Lord has given you, these are very areas where you will see a great harvest of souls come into the Kingdom and MANY come to know Jesus. The vision/s He has given you is not only connected to the harvest of His promises for your own life but the harvest of souls that are going to come in and come to know Jesus through what the Lord has you build with Him and through your testimony.  THE DEEPEST WELL OF VISION   This encounter with the Lord started with the Lord saying “The vision is bigger than you expected or realised.” It’s bigger in its outworking, it is bigger in the plans that He has for it and the way He is going to unfold it, but I also heard the Lord say “You have just scratched the surface. The deepest well of vision is before you. I have so much more to show you and reveal to you. As you draw close to Me in the secret place I am going to take you into the depths of My Word and My heart to show you depths to the vision/s that I have spoken to you that are beyond what you have seen. There are mysteries and revelation and levels to the vision/s that I have given you that I am about to unveil. It’s time to be focused and be really focused upon Me and My Word and make room to truly listen to Me, and make more time and more room for Me to speak and reveal because I am not just leading you into just a ‘moment’ of encounter, I am bringing you into a place where I am showing you just how deep the revelation of this vision goes. It is not just a vision, for many of you, it’s a movement I am birthing and there are many levels and strategies and wisdom for the outworking of My vision in and through your life, so come away and listen. The fierceness of the battle against the vision I have given many of you has been relentless, but the well you are standing in now is the deepest well of My vision that you have ever been in. So dive in. Dive in through your positioning before Me, your listening ear towards Me, your marinating in My Word, and ferocious focus on Me and what I have spoken. The Economic Crisis Caused By This Pandemic Has Dramatically Altered How Americans Are Living Their Lives – Michael Snyder

This seemingly endless COVID pandemic is causing immense stress for millions of ordinary Americans.  In past articles, I have discussed the fact that surveys have shown that Americans are drinking more alcohol and taking more drugs during this pandemic.  Even more alarming, we have seen suicide rates spike over the past 12 months as well.  Sadly, this isn’t just happening here in the United States.  All over the globe, more people are ending their own lives during this pandemic.  But of course most people aren’t going to go that far.  Instead, most people are just going to quietly struggle along, but in the process many of them are making huge changes to their lifestyles.

For example, this pandemic appears to be greatly affecting both marriage and divorce rates.  Here are just a couple of examples…

In Oregon, divorces in the pandemic months of March through December were down about 24% from those months in 2019; marriages were down 16%. In Florida, for the same months, divorces were down 20% and marriages were down 27%.

I can understand why so many Americans are putting off marriage right now.  A wedding can be extremely expensive, and many Americans may be hesitant to permanently tie the knot with so much economic uncertainty in our future.

But why are divorce rates down by so much?

That is a very good question.  Limited access to courts during the lockdowns was certainly one factor, and many Americans are also concerned about what a divorce would mean for them financially…

One reason for fewer divorces: In many states, access to courts for civil cases was severely curtailed during the pandemic’s early stages. Another reason, according to marriage counselors, is that many couples backed off from a possibly imminent divorce for fear it would only worsen pandemic-fueled financial insecurity.

Meanwhile, this pandemic has also caused more Americans than ever to put off having children.

In fact, birth rates are way down all over the country…

According to a Bloomberg analysis, births decreased by 19 percent in California between December 2019 and December 2020. Data from Florida, Hawaii, Arizona, and Ohio show large declines in birth rates since the pandemic started compared to the previous year’s data, too. A survey conducted by Modern Fertility, a company that sells fertility tests directly to consumers, found that 30 percent of nearly 4,000 people surveyed stated they changed their fertility plans due to COVID-19. One in four of those respondents said they’ve become unsure about having children at all; the most commonly cited reason was uncertainty about the world.

At the beginning of this pandemic, some had suggested that we may see a “baby boom”, but it appears that we are experiencing a “baby bust” instead.

The rising cost of living is causing a tremendous amount of stress for ordinary Americans as well.

Thanks to the crazy spending that Congress has been doing and the reckless money printing that the Federal Reserve has been engaged in, the money supply is skyrocketing and prices are aggressively rising all over the country.

Just look at what has been happening to natural gas prices.  The recent cold snap has created a dramatic spike in demand, and this has pushed natural gas prices to unprecedented levels.  The following comes from Zero Hedge…

… we hit the proverbial offerless market where any natgas that was available would be purchased at virtually any price, which is why midcontinent prices such as the Oneok OGT nat gas spot exploded from $3.46 one week ago, to $9 on Wednesday, $60.28 on Thursday and an insane $377.13 on Friday, up 32,000% in a few days. This is one of those places where having a limit up circuit breaker could actually be useful, even though there simply is nowhere near enough product to satisfy demand at any price hence the explosive move.

Hubs across the Midcontinent led the surge in prices again Feb. 12 as weather forecasts predicted the coldest temperatures in more than a decade would hit the region over the upcoming holiday weekend. Platts reported that at locations across Kansas, Oklahoma and Eastern Arkansas, hub prices were trading at single-day record highs around $200 to $300/MMBtu. Regional hubs, which typically service only limited local demand, saw fierce competition among shippers, utilities and end-users looking to meet weekend requirements.

This is a reminder of what can happen when things get crazy.

If a short-term cold spell can cause this much chaos, what would happen during a long-term national emergency?

That is something to think about.

Other Americans don’t need to worry about heating their homes, because this pandemic has forced them to live in their vehicles…

Americans are being driven into their vehicles by pandemic-fueled woes. And their ranks are likely to grow as the government safety net frays and evictions and foreclosures rise.

“It’s in times of crisis that the fragility of our systems are laid bare,” said Graham Pruss, a postdoctoral scholar with the Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative at the UC San Francisco Center for Vulnerable Populations.

Particularly on the west coast, government officials have been setting up huge parking lots where those that live in their vehicles can sleep safely at night.

Many of those that are now sleeping in their vehicles were once living comfortable middle class lifestyles, but now this crisis has changed everything.  Nicholas Atencio and Heather Surovik are two examples…

For months, Nicholas Atencio and girlfriend Heather Surovik spent nearly every minute of their lives together in a 2000 Cadillac Escalade.

After Atencio, 33, lost his job as a plumber in May, he and Surovik, 36, delivered for Grubhub by day and at night curled up with their puppy on an air bed in the back of their car parked in a lot in Longmont, Colorado, dreaming of being reunited under one roof with Surovik’s teenage son who was living with his grandmother.

Have you ever spent a night in a vehicle?

If you have, then you already know that it isn’t pleasant.

Unfortunately, once eviction moratoriums are finally lifted all over the country we are going to see the largest tsunami of evictions in American history.

So that means that a lot more people are going to end up sleeping in their vehicles.

These are very troubled times, and they are about to get even more troubled…
