Faithful - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Faithful
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.
(Hebrews 3:2-3, NASU)

Faithful. Now that is a word we don’t hear enough of these days when describing another, or when someone describes ourselves.

How often have you heard it being said of one, “He was faithful to his wife.” Or, “She kept her promises. If she said it, you can be sure she would do it. She was faithful to the end.”

So often we hear of the politician who said one thing before the election day, but once in office they seemed to have forgotten what they had spoken, and instead bend to the peer pressure surrounding them. Or the sad stories reported of school teachers taking advantage of their students, having sex with them, unfaithful both to their student and their commitment to teach truth.

It has been far too often that leadership has failed us. Out of their mouth has come one thing, but behind the scene it is discovered that unfaithfulness to their God and the people they were called to serve was the opposite of what picture was painted for the world to see. Disappointment may then come upon their followers, which then cause them to give up believing in anyone trustworthy. A cynical spirit is thus given a place to lodge in people’s hearts.

We have been called to be a witness of the Lord Jesus. He Who was faithful to the end, during His time on earth, and for all eternity, has too chosen and appointed us to be as He is – faithful and true.

“Thus says the Lord,
The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One,
To Him whom man despises,
To Him whom the nation abhors,
To the Servant of rulers:
"Kings shall see and arise,
Princes also shall worship,
Because of the Lord who is faithful,
The Holy One of Israel;
And He has chosen You." Isaiah 49:7 NKJV

Our lives, demonstrated before the world, are to be ones proving the faithfulness of the One we serve. If we say we are going to do something, we must do it. If we commit to be there when we say we will, then we must be there. On time and ready for action.

The desire of the Lord’s child must be to someday hear Him speak to them the word He spoke in parable, “His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'” (Matthew 25:21-22 NKJV)

May it be said of us in our days that we are faithful, that we do what we will say we will do; that we keep our promises, no matter what the cost is to ourselves. May others say of us today, “They are faithful.”  And may our God say of us when we stand before Him on that day, “You are a good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”

"A Key Firstfruits Prophecy: The Sound of Blessing is in the Wind!"by Chuck D. Pierce, Corinth, TX

Dear Seekers:

Firstfruits here at Global Spheres Center this past weekend was incredible. When we choose to bring our first and best to the LORD, the whole "lump" of what we have can be made holy (Rom. 11:16).  Both of Sunday's services were just amazing.

During the service I saw a picture of this Ayin Vav (5776) season. Ayin (70) is like a spring coming up where the Vav (6) is coming down like a whirlwind and targeting a new spring in our life. What has been held in your past will now bubble over. Although the enemy would love to dry up your bubbling brook, declare that this is your time to bubble up until you bubble over!

A Key Firstfruits Prophecy!

"I am stirring the wind that will surprise you. What you have cast on the waters, I will stir a wind and water – a whirlwind – and that whirlwind will cause what you have cast on the waters in the past to come forth.

"A new land you will secure for your inheritance for the future. The portion that I have you activate your faith for now, will be a portion that manifests in the future. So I will bring back something to you that has gone out on the water; the bread will come back, but then you will secure what will be your future in days ahead.

"The sound of blessing is in the wind. I have put names of blessing in the wind, and this is an hour My people will direct the wind. Call to the north, call to the south, call to the east, call to the west, because as you begin to loose the breath, the breath and blessing in the winds will begin to settle on My people. (A strong, wild wind and storm hit here Monday.)

"I have set ambushments for your enemies. I have set, by My hand, things that you will discover as you walk out your day. I have set ambushments and I am having a harvest of your enemies out of the structure. The structure is in the Blood and My Blood overcomes every other structure. I am transferring wealth into the Kingdom of God. You will bind the strong man and harvest the structure.

"This is a new season of Sowing and Reaping. As you sow, exorbitant praise is pouring out His Glory! As you sow today it's not as you have sown in the past. You will reap 100-fold as you sow into this new move." (Prophesied by Acijam Otxoa, Chuck D. Pierce, Brian Kooiman, Anne Tate, Marty Cassady.)

An Azusa Wind Stirs in Jerusalem!

In this Hei month, it's not a surprise we could hear the wind swirling in the tongue message that was brought forth. Amber Pierce had already shared with me what she experienced in Jerusalem while webcasting the Azusa gathering.

She shared:
On Saturday night (April 9), I sat outside of our home here in Jerusalem and began to watch the AzusaNow gathering through the webcast. I had been watching for about an hour and at the exact moment that they began to pray for Israel and sing over Israel, God began to move the weather over me. There had been no wind all day. At the very moment that the Azusa group began to pray for Israel, the wind began to blow loudly and violently from every direction. All of the trees began to whip around in a circular motion.

I sat in awe of the sudden sign that God brought from the very moment that prayers were going out from Los Angeles, California all the way to the other end of the earth in Jerusalem. He said to me, "Now you will see Me move in Jerusalem and all of Israel to the ends of the earth." In the past 48 hours, I have been experiencing a very strong presence of Heaven. I'm sure that there has been such a huge shift and now, we as a Body, will see things longed for and dreamed of. It feels as if a culmination of dreams from the past few years are about to come to pass.

The Lord is saying, "Things that have been scattered in the past, I am bringing them back in. Get ready to catch the wind and all that comes in!"

Blessings,

Chuck D. Pierce

Pentecostal Christian Movement Enthusiastically Affirms Support for Israel By JNS - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Pentecostal Christian Movement Enthusiastically Affirms Support for Israel

“Yet Thou art holy, O Thou that art enthroned upon the praises of Israel.” Psalms 22:4 (The Israel Bible™)
By Bradley Martin/JNS.org
Bishop John E. Putnam stood at the podium and exclaimed to the crowd, “Who here loves Israel and the Jewish people?” The thunderous applause indicated the ecstatic approval by more than 500 pastors, ministers, and their families attending a recent conference of United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI). Putnam, superintendent of UPCI’s Wisconsin District, had fired up the crowd, exhorting them to incorporate biblical principles in their everyday lives.
A major aspect of the conference—held from April 5-7 in Elkhart Lake, Wis.—was reaffirming Pentecostal support for the State of Israel. Just outside the main hall was a large booth containing informational brochures published by Israel’s Ministry of Tourism. Bilingual Spanish and English tours to the Holy Land were marketed towards pastors in order to encourage more churches to bring their congregations to Israel.
According to the American Political Science Association, Pentecostalism is the world’s fastest-growing religious movement. A Pew Forum analysis estimates that there are about 279 million Pentecostal Christians internationally. UPCI has 4,602 member churches in North America and 9,085 ministers. Worldwide, UPCI counts a total membership of about 3 million adherents.
Jewish ritual items such as mezuzah cases and tallitot (prayer shawls) were on sale at the conference. Olivewood statues made in Bethlehem were on display, depicting biblical scenes such as a priestly procession of the Ark of the Covenant and baby Jesus in the arms of Mary.
“I’ve never been to Israel, although I’ve always wanted to go,” said one woman seeking more information on the tours. Though support for Israel is strong among the participants of the conference, many have yet to visit the country.
“Over the years, we have organized hundreds of trips. Many more are on the way,” said Putnam. “An average trip takes about 10 days. We usually make it a point to go to Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, Caesarea, Tiberius, Beit She’an, Mount Carmel, and the Dead Sea.” The bishop had particularly fond memories of the Dead Sea, sharing pictures of his family during their last visit to Israel. After having visited Israel earlier this year, Putnam feels an even greater attachment to the Jewish state.
“But if I had to choose, my favorite place would be the Sea of Galilee,” Putnam said. “Our group had a wonderful boat ride on the water and it just had a special meaning for me.” After the experience he had while visiting the Holy Land, the bishop firmly believes that it is incumbent on every Christian to visit and support Israel.
Pentecostal support for Israel is rooted in a strong belief that Christianity must return to its roots, as outlined in the Hebrew Bible. According to Pastor Stan Gleason of The Life Church in Kansas City, Mo., it is a conscious effort to return to the faith of 1st-century Judea and encourage Christians to return to their Hebraic roots.

“I was amazed how safe I always felt,” Gleason said when describing his recent visit to Israel. “You can feel the presence of God in that land and it is quite an amazing feeling to walk through the places mentioned in the Bible and see it through your own eyes.”
“I believe we have a God-mandated call to support Israel,” said Senior Pastor Ed Herman of TurnPoint Pentecostal Church. Citing Genesis 12:3, he said it is “rooted in the Abrahamic Covenant, those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed.” His wife Paula added, “Our people pray for Israel all the time.” Herman also conveyed his strong interest in and knowledge of Israeli history, citing the late Israeli political adviser Yehuda Avner’s “The Prime Ministers” as one of his favorite books.
“We are so grateful for the Jewish community,” Putnam said, recalling to the audience his experience at the Western Wall. “We are grafted from the same tree; our roots come from the Bible. We owe a great debt to Israel and the Jewish people.”

After six months, some good news: Israel seeing “significant decline” in terror attacks. Here’s the latest.

by joelcrosenberg
(Central Israel) -- After a six-month spate of stabbings, fire-bombing, shootings and other attacks by Palestinian terrorists, there is finally some good news to report.
The latest data from Shin Bet, Israel's equivalent of the American FBI, show a "significant decline in the scope of terrorist attacks," Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu noted this week.
So far in April, there have been “only” three significant terror attacks. In March, there were 20. Last October, there were 78, reported the Times of Israel.
The downward trend is the result of a combination of more effective work by Israeli security services in arresting terror plotters before they strike, fast reaction operations to track down and capture terrorists after they strike, and efforts to convince Palestinian young people that there is no benefit to them by engaging in such violence.
It should also be noted that the Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces -- to their credit -- have been working hard to prevent terror attacks, as well.
"The Shin Bet said it had foiled a number of attacks, including 25 kidnapping attacks and 15 suicide attacks," the Times reported. "It noted Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups has been trying to carry out such attacks. Alongside activities to stop Palestinian attacks the Shin Bet also focused on countering Jewish terror threats, it said. Over the weekend PA security forces said they foiled a major terror attack by arresting three Palestinians who were heading to Israel carrying grenades and a gun."
Here's the latest data on Palestinian attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces:
  • March -- 123
  • February -- 155
  • January -- 169
  • December 2015 -- 246
"Most of the attacks in the tally were fire-bombings, but the data also covered stabbings, car-ramming attacks, gunfire, improvised bombs and grenades as well as projectile fire from the Gaza Strip," AFP reported.
The Times of Israel reported this week that over the past six months, "29 Israelis, two Americans, and two others" have been killed. "Over the same time, at least 188 Palestinians have died by Israeli fire. Israel says most were attackers, and the rest died in clashes with security forces."
Please continue to pray for the restoration of calm in Israel, and throughout the Palestinian-controlled territories. Pray for leaders on both sides to have wisdom in how best to restore -- and maintain -- calm. Please also continue praying for the victims and their families, as they continue to grieve and heal from their traumas.

"Come and Celebrate With Us" ✡ Fabulous Chalk Art in Jerusalem - ISRAEL365

Shabbat Inspiration

Today's verses seem totally unrelated: the first is an invitation to the needy, and the second expresses the eternal hope of the Jewish people to return to Israel. A great Torah commentator, the Hidda, gave a fascinating explanation for the hidden connection between these two verses. He says that one reason why God expelled the people from His land was their failure to provide for the poor (see Lamentations 1:3). Thus by caring for those less fortunate, we are rectifying this error and bringing closer the Ultimate Redemption. For Passover, the incredible non-profit organization, Meir Panim, will be giving 5,300 pre-paid grocery cards and boxes of food to elderly, impoverished and struggling families, while also conducting festive Seders in their dignified soup kitchens.

Even in Wartime, the Poor Aren't Forgotten

Imagine being confined to a bomb shelter for days on end. This was the reality for thousands of Israelis during the 2006 war with Hezbollah. The huge need for food and supplies was met by Meir Panim on the frontlines.

When My Brother Cries Out, I Will Answer

For many less fortunate families throughout Israel who struggle to provide their children with even the most basic necessities, holidays are usually filled with utter disappointment. Hear how one women galvanized her community in Israel to put smiles on the faces of local needy children.
