How A North Korean Electromagnetic Pulse Attack Could Kill Millions And Turn America Into A Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Posted: 28 Nov 2017 Michael Snyder  THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

This is why North Korea’s test of an intercontinental ballistic missile is so important.  North Korea had test fired a total of 22 missiles so far this year, but this latest one showed that nobody on the globe is out of their reach.  In fact, General Mattis is now admitting that “North Korea can basically threaten everywhere in the world”, and that includes the entire continental United States.  In addition to hitting individual cities with nukes, there is also the possibility that someday North Korea could try to take down the entire country with an EMP attack.  If the North Koreans detonated a single nuclear warhead several hundred miles above the center of the country, it would destroy the power grid and fry electronics from coast to coast.

I would like you to think about what that would mean for a few moments.  Suddenly there would be no power at home, at work or at school.  Since nearly all of our vehicles rely on computerized systems, you wouldn’t be able to go anywhere and nobody would be able to get to you.  And you wouldn’t be able to contact anyone because all phones would be dead.  Basically, pretty much everything electronic would be dead.  I am talking about computers, televisions, GPS devices, ATMs, heating and cooling systems, refrigerators, credit card readers, gas pumps, cash registers, hospital equipment, traffic lights, etc.

For the first couple of days life would continue somewhat normally, but then people would soon start to realize that the power isn’t coming back on and panic would begin to erupt.
The intercontinental ballistic missile that North Korea just launched traveled almost 1,000 kilometers and reached a maximum altitude of 4,500 kilometers.  We have been told for decades that this would never be allowed to happen, but now it has happened
This is concerning for one big reason: according to General Mattis, the North Korean ICBM “went higher, frankly, than any previous” and “North Korea can basically threaten everywhere in the world.” This was confirmed by North Korea missile analyst, Shea Cotton, who cited Allthingsnuclear author David Wright, and who told the BBC that the initial estimates of the ICBM test mean that North Korea can now reach New York and Washington DC.
If we had been working hard to develop our anti-missile technology all these years, this wouldn’t be a problem.

But at this point we are way behind the Russians in this regard, and there is a very real possibility that a missile launched by the North Koreans could make it through the very limited anti-missile defenses that we do have.

Once upon a time, discussions about a North Korean EMP threat were mostly hypothetical, but now that has completely changed.  North Korea has clearly demonstrated that they are able to deliver such an attack, and last September Kim Jong Un publicly admitted that North Korea intended to develop this capability
But most reporters missed a key threat that appeared at the bottom of Kim’s public statement, when he bragged that North Korea had harnessed “a multi-functional thermonuclear nuke with great destructive power which can be detonated at high altitudes for super-powerful EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack according to strategic goals.”
So now we know. Launching an electromagnetic pulse attacks against its enemies is one of North Korea’s strategic goals. And for North Korea, the United States is the top enemy.
And like I said earlier, all it would take would be a single well placed nuclear detonation to fry electronics from coast to coast.  The following comes from the Daily Mail
Theoretically, a sufficiently powerful bomb detonated at an altitude of 249 miles would wipe out all electronics in the US, save the southernmost top of Florida and the easternmost states – as well as affecting Canada and Mexico.
Without power, nothing would get distributed.  That means that very rapidly there would be no food, no water and no medicine available in your community.  An article posted by Fox News this week used the term “post-apocalyptic” to describe what we would be facing…
It all starts to sound very post-apocalyptic when you realize this means no lights or other electric-powered devices in homes and businesses, no water filtration, no regional food hubs, no transportation grid – none of the things we take for granted in modern civilization.
Like I stated earlier, things would be relatively fine for a few days, but then once everyone realizes that the power isn’t coming back on there would be chaos on a scale unlike anything we have ever seen before.  The following comes from an article by Mac Slavo
The first 24 – 48 hours after such an occurrence will lead to confusion among the general population as traditional news acquisition sources like television, radio and cell phone networks will be non-functional.
Within a matter of days, once people realize the power might not be coming back on and grocery store shelves start emptying, the entire system will begin to delve into chaos.
Within 30 days a mass die off will have begun as food supplies dwindle, looters and gangs turn to violent extremes, medicine can’t be restocked and water pump stations fail.
So what kind of a “mass die off” would we be talking about?

Well, some of the top experts in the field believe that “up to 90 percent of all Americans” could end up dead if the power outage lasted long enough…
William Graham, chairman of the former EMP commission and its former chief of staff, Peter Vincent Pry, warned the hearing that such an attack could “shut down the US electric power grid for an indefinite period, leading to the death within a year of up to 90 percent of all Americans.
Others believe that the figure would be lower, but pretty much everyone agrees that the death toll would be in the millions.

This is one of our greatest strategic vulnerabilities, and our power grid could be hardened against an EMP attack for just a few billion dollars.  This is something that I am pushing very hard for, but right now it is just not a priority for our leaders in Washington.

In fact, they have actually pulled funding from the commission that was looking into the EMP threat…
On Sept. 30, the Congressional Commission to Assess the Threat of Electromagnetic Pulse to the United States of America shut its doors after a failure to secure funding from Congress.
Sometimes I find it difficult to come up with the words to describe how incredibly foolish Congress is being.

An EMP attack is a greater threat than ever before, and yet Congress didn’t even want to come up with a little bit of funding for the commission that was working on a plan to protect us.

This is yet another example that shows that we need new leadership on Capitol Hill, because right now the people that we have “representing” us in Washington seem to be completely and utterly clueless about almost everything.

Palestinians Furious After Saudi Arabia Downplays Importance of Jerusalem - Israel Today

Palestinians Furious After Saudi Arabia Downplays Importance of Jerusalem

Wednesday, November 29, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
Proponents of the Palestinian cause have tried to inflate the position of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in Islam, and thereby paint Israel's sovereignty in this city as an affront to their religion.
But, a couple years ago, renowned Egyptian scholar and novelist Youssef Ziedan acknowledged in a series of television interviews that Jerusalem holds no religious significance for Muslims.
Today, it is common to hear that Jerusalem is Islam's third holiest city, being the location of the "Al Aqsa Mosque" referred to the in the Koran.
Ziedan said the whole thing is nonsense:
"The Al-Aqsa Mosque [in Jerusalem] did not exist back then, and the city was not called Al-Quds. It was called Aelia, and it had no mosques."
He is far from being alone in that position.
In fact, a growing number of Saudis on social media have taken to using a hashtag that translates as "Riyadh is More Important Than Jerusalem."
It is a deliberate downplaying of the importance of Jerusalem from both religious and nationalist viewpoints, and it coincides with the oil-rich kingdom's warming relations with Israel.
Saudis have grown increasingly frustrated with what they see as the Palestinian intransigent and treachery.
Palestinian rejection of Saudi efforts to bring the Israeli-Arab conflict to an equitable end has incensed many in Riyadh, as has Palestinian support for Iran's nuclear program and collaboration between Palestinian groups and Iran's Lebanese proxy, Hezbollah.
Like Israel, Saudi Arabia views Iran as an existential threat.
Alienating Saudi Arabia in this manner threatens to lose the Palestinians the support of the Arab world's top powers.
And yet, we see their hearts continue to harden.
In a backlash to the aforementioned Saudi hashtag, Palestinians on social media have started using a hashtag that translates as "Jerusalem is more important than the [Saudi] king."
If things continue down this path, a day could come when the Arab world's leading powers reject a Palestinian state even more than Israel does.

LoveMusic! - Woman/The Man That I Love, Performed by Paul Clark and Kelly Willard

Woman/The Man That I Love
Performed by Paul Clark and Kelly Willard

Hand To The Plow, 1976

Nov. 29, 2017

Greetings LoveMusic! listeners.

Back in the day, 1976 to be exact, I met my future wife, Laura Jean Unzicker, at a Sunday evening - former Baptist, now Pentecostal type - church meeting. The town was LaSalle, Illinois. The place was Victory Church. She was 17. I was 22.

I was looking. She was praising the Lord with her high school friend. I liked what I saw, and a little over a year later we were married. Now 40 years and counting, we still are - meeting together in church and praising the Lord for the life He has given together, and to share with others.

Paul Clark never knew this when he and Kelly Willard recorded this song during that same time, but the Lord did. To this day, the album, framed and hanging on our home wall, reminds us of commitment and sharing His life together. Beautifully sung by Paul and Kelly, it is a true reminder of love between a man and a woman.

Ahava and shalom,

Woman, your worth is far above all precious jewels My heart trusts in you, I know you'll do me good all the days of my life

Woman, your hands they seem to work with delight You're like a merchant ship, Gathering goods from afar, for your own You rise before the sun To serve everyone Day after day, your hands seldom rest, You never eat the bread of idleness Woman, you are a gift to me, Grace and beauty are yours Woman, you're like a silent night, Gentle and quiet in heart Woman, you are a gift to me, Grace and beauty are yours Woman, you're like a silent night, Gentle and quiet in heart And I love you, please love me, Let us live together in Him In my heart there's a feeling That I know has come from above He gave me you for my covering, It's true that you are the man that I love Since the day that He spoke to me And showed me you were the one We've been through so many changes, But still you are the man that I love What a joy to be living, Sharing our lives together If we continue in giving, We'll share a little of heaven right here on the Earth What a joy to be living, Sharing our lives together If we continue in giving, We'll share a little of heaven right here on the Earth Woman, I love you You're the man that I love Let us live together in Him

You Tube - Published on Jun 3, 2012

This is a video I (Victoria Tribby) put together for my husband to celebrate our 28 consecutive years (without any breaks or separations) of marriage together. Woman/The Man That I Love is a song my husband specifically played a tape of for me on our first date when I was 16 and he was 17. Though his essentially proposing to me on our first date scared me half out of my gourd at the time (I guess the boy knew what he wanted, lol), I later warmed up to the idea of marrying him as a direct result of the Lord moving on my heart to do so. In fact, I warmed up to it so much that, a year later, we were married to each other; and this was our wedding song.

If anyone would like to read our whole mind-blowing love story, it can be viewed here on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/notes/victor...

If anyone would like to see a picture of us back then, it can be viewed at Flickr here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/13724386...

If anyone would like to see a picture of us now, it can be viewed here on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...

After all was said and done, I specifically wanted to thank Paul Clark for permission to use this song and for his composing and writing and performing it all upon Jesus' direction. Also I would like to thank him for allowing us to get to know him, for spending time with us online and on the phone, for helping me make adjustments to this video and more, and--most of all--for actually taking the time out of his busy schedule to put on a mini Skypecert (a mini concert via Skype) for us, honoring my and Pete's time together since recently oddly our health has been taking a nose-dive. This whole experience has truly been a blessing to us. And I would just like to say right here that the Lord has truly been a master artist at work on this guy, creating quite a masterpiece.

Anyway, a neato little known fact people might like to know if they enjoy Paul Clark's music, and in particular this song, that he shared with us during one of our talks together is that the original singer of the female part in this song was not Kelly Willard.

To expand, after the original recording of this song was ready to go, Paul wasn't feeling very confident about the fact that the vocals simply didn't seem to mesh well together. Though the original female singer's voice was incredible in and of itself, her voice was a bit on the operatic side whereas his was more folk-rock sounding. While mulling this problem over and praying about it, out of nowhere, a bolt of lightning hit the place where he had recorded the song. It destroyed something like 10 seconds of her part. Talk about divine intervention because she was, at the time, so incredibly busy that she couldn't come in and lay down those ten seconds worth of vocals to finish the song.

Then one of the guys helping him to record the song told him about a young woman of 17--named Kelly Willard--who went to his church that was in a band, called something like Selah. He said she could belt that part right out there for Paul. So Paul had her brought in to see if she could do it. She did the part in ONE take! Unbelievable! Basically, Paul discovered Kelly Willard...though I don't think he'd ever say that, lol.

I would also like to end this description with letting all who watch it know that this is the first video I have ever worked on, so please be gentle with me, lol. It was time consuming to try to figure it out, but I do think I came up with something my husband and I and our children and grandchildren and the rest of my family and my Facebook friends may repeatedly enjoy. I first started working on this video because no one had placed a video up of it online, and I needed to be able to link to it in my story for the people listed above so that they could hear it since it is an intricate part of how my husband and I connected. Since then, others have placed their versions on youtube. I would have normally linked to one of them on my story since they did wonderful jobs on the song also. But I just didn't want all the work I did on the video to go down the drain, and I wanted my husband to feel as if this were especially made for him because he is, after all, the love of my life after Jesus, of course.

That being said, I hope everyone else watching and listening to it enjoys the song and video and is as blessed by it as I and my husband have been.

Jerusalem & Friends - Yad Vashem, The Holocaust History Museum. Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Jerusalem & Friends
-          Yad Vashem, The Holocaust History Museum

Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will no longer be any death; and there will no longer be any mourning, crying or pain; because the old order has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4, Complete Jewish Bible)

Near the end of the Jerusalem light rail train line, on the west side of the city, is the Holocaust History Museum, known in Hebrew as Yad Vashem. Now that I think about it, for many Jews during World War II, Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Bergen-Belsen and similar concentration, extermination death camps were also at the end of the line. For those back then, it was evil at its worse, with death for the millions. For the living who visit this memorial now, it is the opportunity to see and observe a part of what had happened, but also to commit to not let it happen again to the Jewish people.

This official museum, remembering those gassed by the Nazi regime, established in 1953 on the western slope of Mount Herzl, is the second most visited tourist site in Israel. I personally have been there five times. I would encourage any who make it to Israel, as a tourist or otherwise, to take it all in.

After making the way down the entrance street, either by bus or on foot from the train, is the building greeting the visitors. From there you enter into the main grounds, having the Children’s Memorial, the Garden of the Righteous Among the Nations, and the main Hall of Remembrance, Another building included is the silent, dark, ever-candle burning hall with the names of each extermination camp spelled out on the floor behind the circular railed walkway. One really gets the sense of honor to those who perished in the gas chambers.

As you walk to each building, the paths are lined with small trees, each one planted in remembrance of Gentiles, the Righteous Ones, who helped save Jews from certain death. Names such as Oskar Schindler (his story told in the movie Schindler’s List) and Corrie ten Boom are two of the ones more familiar. A listing of over 26,000 names can be found on the museum’s website Yad Vashem.

Tears are often shed during the hour long (or more) walk through the main Hall of Remembrance. One can only pause, sit, listen, and simply try to image the horror that families went through. The ugly hate, the lies viciously spread, the cruel beatings, starvation, and then the gas chambers built as the final solution for six million Jews. With every possible display of actual photos and movie footage; historical facts of each European country where Jews were rounded up as cattle and loaded into actual cattle trains; and recorded documentaries of the old, then young, survivors - never again shall this atrocity happen to the Jewish people. With those who have already made Israel home, and the ones who will yet make Israel their home, all are committed to this end. Never again.

As a ministry committed to bless the Jewish people, those who for many centuries were driven from their homes, businesses, and then beaten or killed by satanic people “in the name of Christ”, Love For His People, Inc. will continually stand with Israel. Helping those in the Land; assisting those going back to the Land (aliyah); and sharing the eternal truth, through social media and other writings in support of their Land; it is our heart and purpose to bless our friends of Israel.

We cherish Jerusalem and our friends within. I pray you too will have the opportunity to visit this special land, chosen by the Eternal God to put His Name there, and the place where our Savior and Lord Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach, will make His triumphant return soon. His coming back will be in time to save His people, and to set up His throne of righteous rule and reign.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

Yad Vashem
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yad Vashem (Hebrewיָד וַשֵׁם‎) is Israel's official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. It is dedicated to preserving the memory of the dead; honouring Jews who fought against their Nazi oppressors and Gentiles who selflessly aided Jews in need; and researching the phenomenon of the Holocaust in particular and genocide in general, with the aim of avoiding such events in the future.
Established in 1953, Yad Vashem is on the western slope of Mount Herzl, also known as the Mount of Remembrance, a height in western Jerusalem, 804 meters (2,638 ft) above sea level and adjacent to the Jerusalem Forest. The memorial consists of a 180-dunam (18.0 ha; 44.5-acre) complex containing the Holocaust History Museum, memorial sites such as the Children's Memorial and the Hall of Remembrance, the Museum of Holocaust Art, sculptures, outdoor commemorative sites such as the Valley of the Communities, a synagogue, a research institute with archives, a library, a publishing house, and an educational center, the International School/Institute for Holocaust Studies.
A core goal of Yad Vashem's founders was to recognize Gentiles who, at personal risk and without a financial or evangelistic motive, chose to save their Jewish brethren from the ongoing genocide during the Holocaust. Those recognized by Israel as Righteous Among the Nations are honored in a section of Yad Vashem known as the Garden of the Righteous Among the Nations.

After the Western Wall, Yad Vashem is the second-most-visited Israeli tourist site. Its curators do not charge any fee for admission, and welcome approximately one million visitors a year.
