Student Banned from Giving Faith-Filled Graduation Speech Still Found a Way
05-28-2017

Seth Clark, an eighth-grade salutatorian from Akin, Illinois, wasn't allowed to give his speech. Akin Grade School wouldn't let him give it because it contained the word "God," Bible verses, and Clark's confession of his Christian faith.
Becky Clark, Seth's mother, said the speech had been "on his heart."
The school made the decision after receiving a complaint.
In Our Hands: The Battle for Jerusalem. Get Tickets
"While students are welcome to pray or pursue their faith without disrupting school or infringing upon the rights of others, the United States Constitution prohibits the school district from incorporating such activities as part of school-sponsored events and when the context causes a captive audience to listen or compels other students to participate," the school's Superintendent Kelly Clark told the Benton Evening News.
"As a public school, it is our duty to educate students, regardless of how different they or their beliefs may be," she said.
Clark still found a way to give the speech, but it was at a family friend's house across the street from the school.
He used the majority of it to give God glory and thanks.
"I'd like to thank God for all the amazing people and experiences I've had in life. He's placed so many friends in my life and an amazing family," said Clark.
"He's forgiven me when I sin and fail to follow Jesus. There is so much God has done for me that I haven't mentioned… I am far from perfect, but as quoted in 1 Peter 16, 'Be holy as I am holy.'"
"This is what I strive for: to be holy as God is holy. But, because I am human, I have failed and will fail against others. This is why I apologize," he added.
"He is more courageous at the age of 13 than I am at the age of 43," said Becky Clark. "It was the proudest moment of my life."

Denzel Washington Talks About The Time He Met God On A Film Set - Hello Christian

Denzel Washington Talks About The Time He Met God On A Film Set
Hello Christian Jan. 5, 2017

Denzel Washington is one of the most highly regarded actors of the last few decades. Starring in numerous blockbuster movies, he has produced award-winning performances time and time again. What you might not know is that Denzel is a committed Christian and the son of a minister. He recently sat down with pastor T.D. Jakes to his faith and his motivation in life.

Washington cleared up some stuff about the culture of celebrity, saying that fame and fortune were not for him. I "don't want anything to do with celebrity. I am an actor," he told Jakes. "I don't need any watches and all of that. So I'm here to serve God, here to serve my family."
Denzel also recently spoke of an incredible experience he had whilst filming "Fences" in a Pittsburgh neighborhood. Washington was amazed when two women offered him solace through prayer.
"A woman on the corner, she was watching me. She made her house a quiet place of prayer for me, and I'd go in there when things were getting overwhelming and just take a breath," Washington said during a conference call with The Christian Post. "Sometimes I'd just have a prayer with her."
Washington then shared the story of his encounter with another woman in the same neighborhood who said she and her family had been praying for him for more than 30 years.
"There was one woman in particular. Even before we started shooting I met her and I came and said, 'Oh thank you for coming out.' She said, 'We've been watching you for a long time.' I said 'Well, pray for me.' [And then] she said, 'Denzel, I've been praying for you for 35 years, my family and I," he said. "We've been watching, we know how hard it is."
A committed follower of Jesus himself, Denzel has talked at length about his Christian faith. A couple years back, he spoke to GQ magazine about being filled with the Holy Spirit.
"[It] was thirty years ago, at the church I still attend. The minister was preaching: "Just let it go". I said, "I'm going to go with it." And I had this tremendous physical and spiritual experience. It did frighten me. I was slobbering, crying, sweating. My cheeks blew up. I was purging. It was too intense. It almost drove me away. I called my mother, and she said I was being filled with the Holy Spirit. I was like, 'Does that mean I can never have wine again?'"
Denzel has also spoken about the necessity of daily prayer and spending time with God. He shared how he stays devoted to Christ every morning. "Put your slippers way under your bed so when you get up in the morning, you have to get on your knees to find them. And while you're down there, start your day with prayer. Ask for wisdom. Ask for understanding."
"Don't aspire to make a living, aspire to make a difference."

Evidence of Catastrophic Biblical Flood Found in China? CBN News

Evidence of Catastrophic Biblical Flood Found in China?
CBN News 08-17-2016

Chinese scientists have discovered new evidence that points to the biblical account of Noah's flood from thousands of years ago.
Archeologists uncovered the bones of children believed to have been trapped by a flood that ripped through the Yellow River Valley nearly 4,000 years ago. Their bones are dated back to time of Noah, leading some to believe these remains are evidence of the biblical story.
If the newly discovered flood is the one of Noah's times, it may shake what scientists originally believed about the Bible.
The discovery points to a massive flood that sent rocks and tons of sediment rushing into the Yellow River Valley. The flood was so big, it created a 660 foot damn that scars China to this day.
Some are not surprised by this discovery, saying there is evidence all around the world of an ancient catastrophic flood.
"There are thousands of feet of flood sediment all over the globe - evidence of a catastrophic global flood," Ken Ham, from Answers in Genesis, said.
Ham argues that the unearthing of evidence pointing to an ancient world-wide flood testifies to the validity of the Christian faith.
"If the Bible's true, it means God is Creator," Ham said. "It means God owns us. It means we have to be in submission to him. It means that we need to receive the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ."

DNA Evidence: Skeleton Found in Japan Is Martyred Missionary - CBN News Lorie Johnson

DNA Evidence: Skeleton Found in Japan Is Martyred Missionary
06-02-2016

CBN News Lorie Johnson

Bones unearthed in Japan appear to be those of a Christian missionary from the 1700s who was killed for his faith.
Construction workers building a parking lot for a condominium complex found the skeletal remains of what anthropologists say is Italian missionary Giovanni Battista Sidotti, who was martyred.  The condos sit on the site of a prison earmarked for Christians 300 years ago.  Today, its only reminder is a stone marker commemorating the location.
Sidotti, who snuck into the island nation disguised as a samurai, was on a mission to spread the gospel of Christ to the Japanese people, who at the time were hostile to Christianity.
Sidotti was said to have had tremendous influence on the Japanese culture at that time.  His general knowledge about Western things such as geography, language and global affairs were prized by Japanese scholars he encountered, who were fairly isolated from the rest of the world and who craved information from abroad.
However, it was Sidotti's refusal to renounce his Christian faith that turned those same leaders against him.  He was thrown into a notorious prison for Christians where torture was routine. While the brutal conditions prompted many other Christian inmates to publicly forsake their beliefs, Sidotti held fast to his faith.  He was even said to have converted and baptized the Japanese couple caring for him while he was in prison.
Historical accounts say Sidotti was afforded elevated respect compared to the other prisoners.  That is backed up by the configuration of his skeletal remains.
"His body was laid flat in a casket, a luxurious one as far as I can tell by the brackets," Akio Tanigawa, professor of archaeology at Tokyo's Waseda University and lead researcher on the remains, told AFP, referring to coffin pieces discovered with the bones.
"People did not bury human bodies like this," Tanigawa stressed, suggesting Sidotti was likely given a burial "in the Christian way."
Two sets of bones found next to Sidotti's are said to belong to the Japanese couple.

Bob Dylan's Handwritten Letter Reveals Strong Christian Faith - MARK MARTIN/CBN NEWS CHARISMA NEWS

Bob Dylan's Handwritten Letter Reveals Strong Christian Faith

Join us on the new C-Pop podcast where Taylor and Jessilyn discuss, debate and sometimes deride pop culture with a strong sense of humor and a focus on Christ. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

A handwritten letter that reflects a strong Christian faith by music legend Bob Dylan is up for auction.
Boston-based RR Auction is offering the item, written around April 1980 to a friend named "Steve."
Dylan writes, "We are up in Toronto singing and playing for about 3,000 people a night in a downtown theatre—the Spirit of the Lord is calling people here in their beautiful and clean city, but they are more interested in lining up for Apocalypse Now than to be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost."
Dylan is probably referring to the film, Apocalypse Now, which hit theaters in 1979. The artist played in Toronto in 1980.
Dylan goes on to write to Steve, "Wanna thank you for that Bible as it is helpful in discovering a few phrases from and shedding more light on what the King James Version reads—God will lift up your heart as you begin to realize that 'He thru Christ has reconsiled (sic) man unto Himself' (II Corinthians)."
The singer-songwriter's letter is filled with references to Christianity.
"You will be strong in the Lord and seeing that looks are deceiving, you will work miracles that way—He has called you to be a saint and your responsibility is to him and him alone," he continues. "Be praying and not looking back no more—press on toward what is ahead—I send love to you and will pray for strength and more strength for ya (sic)."
Dylan concludes the letter with a bold profession of faith: "Always in the name of Jesus Christ Son of God, Manifest in the flesh."
Dylan, who is a Jew, accepted Jesus Christ as his Messiah in 1979. Two of his albums,Slow Train Coming and Saved, have overtly Christian lyrics.
Rumors surfaced in the early '80s that Dylan renounced Christianity. However, in an October 2012 blog on Godreports, Dan Wooding writes that Al Kasha, a Messianic Jew who led Dylan to Christ, believes the singer-songwriter never lost his faith.
In the blog, Wooding says Dylan's album, Tempest, released in September 2012, is filled with Christian lyrics.
"I am absolutely thrilled that Bob has shown through this new record that he has never lost God's calling in life. He's never given up," Kasha said, referring to the album.
"I get upset when people think that he has because you don't write all these songs just out there," Kasha continued. "It takes time to write them and they're all about Christ so I've said this in the past - the media has hurt rather than helped him."
Robert Livingston, executive vice president of RR Auction, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the letter "is incredible."
"It's rare that you see handwritten letters from Bob Dylan on the market," he said. "You may see notes or lyrics but not real composed letters like this."
The items up for auction include the letter in "very good to fine condition" and the original envelope. Livingston said the items belong to a Boston collector.
"This remarkable letter offers enormous insight into Dylan's thoughts during a critical period of his career," a description on the auction website reads.

The Crucifixion of Jesus Was R-Rated 3/23/2016 J. LEE GRADY CHARISMA MAGAZINE

The Passion of the Christ isn't a G-rated version of what happened on Good Friday.

Fire in My Bones, by J. Lee Grady
The Christian faith is built on the undeniable, unshakeable truth that Jesus was raised from the dead. It is also founded on the historical fact that the Savior suffered unimaginable pain when Roman soldiers nailed Him to a cross.
I hope you will ponder that pain as you celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ this weekend.
When the movie The Passion of the Christ was released 12 years ago, Hollywood insiders mocked it because it offered a realistic—and extremely bloody—depiction of Jesus' torture and death. Regardless of what you think of controversial director Mel Gibson, he did a masterful job of capturing the brutality of a first-century Roman execution.
I know some Christians who objected to the R-rated violence of Gibson's movie, as if what happened to Jesus should be reduced to the sanitized charm of a Renaissance-era painting. But the truth is that what Jesus suffered on Good Friday was R-rated. It was spattered with blood and horrifying to watch.
Nobody performed an autopsy on Jesus' mangled body after He was taken down from the cross. But doctors who have studied the Bible's description of His death say the pain would have been beyond excruciating. In fact, the word excruciating means "out of the cross." Jesus literally defined the worst pain anyone could feel.
His suffering began in Gethsemane, when God laid the sins of the world on His beloved Son. Hebrews 5:7 says Jesus offered up prayers "with loud crying and tears" during this moment of anguish. Luke's Gospel says the agony was so strong that Jesus' sweat "became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground" (Luke 22:44). The intense stress caused what physicians call hematidrosis, a condition in which blood seeps out of sweat glands.
After His arrest, Jesus was flogged so mercilessly that his skin was stripped off His back, exposing muscle and bone. The soldiers who tortured Jesus would have used a weapon called a flagellum—a whip that had several leather strands with lead balls or shards of bone attached to the ends.
The cuts inflicted by this whip could actually rip open the flesh and expose internal organs. Jesus would have lost a significant amount of blood after His scourging—and this would explain why He did not have the strength to carry His cross all the way to Calvary.
Matthew 27:28-29 says the Roman soldiers stripped Jesus naked and then twisted together a handmade crown made of thorns to mock His kingship. Bible scholars believe these thorns were extremely long and hard. When the thorns pierced the top and side of His head, Jesus would have most likely experienced what doctors call "trigeminal neuralgia"—piercing pain all over the head and face.
After this merciless abuse, Jesus was covered with a red robe and led to Golgotha. There, Roman soldiers drove seven-inch metal spikes into his wrists (most likely hitting the median nerve, causing more blinding pain) and then they rammed another spike into his feet.
At that point, doctors say, Jesus would have suffered dislocation of His shoulders, cramps and spasms, dehydration from severe blood loss, fluid in His lungs and eventual lung collapse and heart failure.
Yet Jesus refused to drink wine mixed with gall, a pain-killing solution offered to Him by his executioners (Matt. 27:34). He chose to endure the full impact of the pain.
He felt that pain for us.
Some victims of Roman crucifixion took as long as nine days to die, but Jesus' death came in a matter of hours—probably because He had been flogged so cruelly before He was nailed to the rough wood. Victims of crucifixion typically developed serious dehydration because of a lack of blood and oxygen.
As Jesus took His last breath, He said: "It is finished." He was actually quoting the last verse of Psalm 22, a psalm He recited throughout His torture. It is one of the most graphic prophecies about Christ's suffering in the Old Testament—and Jesus knew it was about Him.
Jesus willingly poured out His blood on that cruel cross. It was an ugly, revolting, disgusting scene. We don't have to downplay the violence or muffle the gut-wrenching cries. The Bible does not soften the impact or censor the cruelty of Jesus's suffering. Isaiah 53:6 says: "But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him."
God laid the sins of the world on Jesus, and then He sacrificed Him as the one and only Lamb of God. Isaiah 53 goes on to say: "But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities." He took all that pain to fully pay the price so that we could be forgiven.
This Easter, please don't settle for a G-rated, greeting-card version of the cross. Consider the depths of the agony Jesus experienced when He died for you. He took the pain we deserved.

The Most Important Factor in Choosing Our Next President - STEVE STRANG, STRANG REPORT CHARISMA MAGAZINE

A group of Christian leaders prayed for presidential candidate Donald Trump earlier this year.
A group of Christian leaders prayed for presidential candidate Donald Trump earlier this year. (YouTube)

Our nation is in a spiritual crisis and I believe we need a leader who can hear from God to turn things around. The secular world ignores this spiritual dimension, so you won't read this in the mainstream press.
In 2016, we will elect a new president in what many are calling the most important election in our nation's history.
In the Republican presidential race there are several candidates who are strong believers and whose Christian values guide their worldview with how they would govern. One well-connected Christian leader told me there are so many good ones that it's hard to know which one to support. He said, in a way, he wished they had been spread out over the past few presidential races, when most Christians considered the Republican nominees to be the lesser of two evils.
I believe the nation's problems cannot be solved only by politicians. We need a major revival. But I do believe we need a godly leader—a person who can hear from God—who will set the nation on a new course. With several good ones to choose from, which one should we support? Many citizens, like me, are taking a wait-and-see attitude.
We can't wait long, however. While the so-called values voters may shift a close election, there are not enough of us to elect a president who will not receive support from other segments of voters. Where we can make a real difference, however, is in the early primaries. Often it's the candidate who wins the early primaries who goes on to win the nomination. It's something called momentum.
The early candidates who have gained momentum based on the polls are outsiders—Donald Trump and Dr. Ben Carson—neither of whom have held political office. (Carly Fiorina, who is lower in the polls, has also never held political office).
The next two, Sen. Marco Rubio from my state of Florida and Sen. Ted Cruz from Texas, are not favored by the party establishment. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush seemed to be the party favorite but is lagging in the polls, and I don't see how his candidacy will ever gain traction.
So far, three candidates have dropped out—all of them governors—Rick Perry of Texas, Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, who made his announcement earlier this week.
Last January I attended a prayer rally in Baton Rouge hosted by Jindal. It was not a political rally, but a solemn assembly: a prayer meeting asking for God's mercy on America. Gov. Jindal did not appear timid about praying publicly with boldness, even though there were those strongly critical of his participation. Later, I attended a private meeting with him and came away impressed by him as a person and a man of deep Christian conviction.
Even though Jindal gained traction in Iowa, nationally his poll numbers were low and his fundraising less fruitful than he had hoped. When he dropped out, he declared this is not his time. At 44, I believe we will see more of him in the future.
Rubio, Cruz and Carson are each well-known for their Christian faith. This endears them to many and makes them despised by others. All three would be godly leaders, I believe.
As for the rest of the Republican group, others articulating strong Christian faith include former Gov. Mike Huckabee, whom I strongly supported in 2008. Others such as Fiorina, Gov. Chris Christie and Gov. John Kasich are on the right side of the social issues and seem concerned that Christians are losing their religious liberties. They all articulate Christian faith, so who am I to judge the extent of it? Frankly, I would support any of them over Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders.
And then there is Donald Trump. Well-known for his casinos and reality television show, he is loud, combative and articulates frustrations felt by many Americans, especially over the threat of Islamic terrorism and unsecured borders allowing massive illegal immigration.
There are good things to say about Trump. I enjoy listening to his speeches, and I'm glad to see him refusing to be politically correct—and seeming to get away with it! Each time he's politically incorrect, his poll numbers go up. He has helped shake up the Republican establishment in a way no one else has in recent memory.
One evangelical leader who has been bloodied by his dealings with the Republican Party told me Trump has done more to disrupt business as usual with the party elite than anyone else. He said that even though he doesn't like the fact Trump owns casinos, has been married three times and lives a lifestyle that in many ways doesn't line up with the Bible.
Nevertheless, Trump articulates Christian values and said the Bible was his favorite book, even though he didn't seem to know much about what was in the Bible. Similar to other Republican candidates, he has reached out to evangelicals.
We ran a commentary by Don Nori Sr. of Destiny Image telling about a meeting where some charismatic leaders including Kenneth Copeland prayed over Trump. Another writer speculated on our Charisma News site that God may have lifted up Trump like a type of Nebuchadnezzar, a view that drew a lot of fire from our readers.
So far, not many Christian leaders have spoken up to support specific candidates. As I travel around, I get the sense people are watching the race, but I don't hear Christians being passionate for any candidate. When there is discussion, some of it is about who can win or who can beat Hillary Clinton.
The fact is that we need a godly leader. While we believe God raises up leaders, if we are discerning, shouldn't we know who that person is? And we need to understand that we can make a difference, especially in the early primary states. So my advice is to pay attention to the races and resolve to get involved closer to the primaries.
And meanwhile, don't go along with trends you hear in the media from the political pundits. Let's believe that God is raising up a leader for America at this very important time.

Obama May Not Be the Antichrist but Is He the First Muslim President? - Jennifer LeClaire

If you type "is Obama a Muslim" into Google, you get over 126 million results. If you type "proof Obama is a Muslim" into Google, you get 45.7 million results—that's a lot of "proof."

Obama May Not Be the Antichrist but Is He the First Muslim President?

Watchman on the Wall, by Jennifer LeClaire

Jennifer LeClaire is now sharing her reflections and revelations through Walking in the Spirit. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Jeb Bush boldly declared that President Barack Obama is a Christian. Mike Huckabee isn't convinced.
In fact, Huckabee went so far as to suggest that the president "pretends to be" a Christian.
"I'm less concerned about what faith a person has. I'm more concerned about the authenticity of their faith and how that plays out in their policies," the Republican presidential Candidate told NewsmaxTV.
"I'm also concerned about a guy that believes he's a Christian and pretends to be and then says he is but does things that makes it very difficult for people to practice their Christian faith," Huckabee said. "I'm disappointed if a person who says, 'I'm a Christian,' but you invite the pope into your home and then you invite a whole bunch of people who are at odds with the Catholic Church policy. There's something very unseemly about that."

Huckabee is not the only one who questions Obama's Christianity. Twenty-nine percent of respondents in a CNN/ORC poll believe he is a Muslim, including 43 percent of Republicans. I'm surprised that number isn't higher, given he publicly spoke to ABC's George Stephanopoulos about his "Muslim faith."
If you type "is Obama a Muslim" into Google, you get over 126 million results. If you type "proof Obama is a Muslim" into Google, you get 45.7 million results—that's a lot of "proof." There is plenty to cause one to question his profession of Christ. I don't have room to recount them all here, but here are a few:
In his address to the United Nations General Assembly on September 25, 2012, Obama said that, "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."
Obama in prepared remarks said, "The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim-majority country—I know, because I am one of them."
In prepared remarks in April 2012, Obama referred to Christ as "a" Son of God rather than as "the" only begotten Son of God: "And for me, and I'm sure for some of you, it's also a chance to remember the tremendous sacrifice that led up to that day, and all that Christ endured—not just as a Son of God, but as a human being."
The list of these types of statements—not to mention bowing to a Saudi king, the fact that his wife does not travel with him to Muslim nations because Sharia law demands Muslim women cover their heads, his love for the Muslim call to prayer and so on—seems to contradict the Christian faith. And that's putting it mildly.
There's not nearly as much evidence that he's a Christian. (In fact, some would argue that there is more evidence he's the antichrist.) Our president rarely goes to church. He makes policy decisions that fly in the face of Christ—including his pro-abortion, pro-gay stances. And he has seemingly done everything in his power to set the stage for the persecution of Christians in the United States.
So is President Obama a Christian or not? I cannot judge someone's heart but I can judge fruit. There is no fruit of a life surrendered to Christ and far more evidence that he subscribes to the Prophet Mohammed's teachings. But even then, there are contradictions.
Think about it for a minute. Good Muslims don't smoke and drink, like Obama does. And Islam not only stands against homosexuality—Sharia law calls for gays to be stoned—yet Obama celebrated the Supreme Court's gay marriage ruling by shining a rainbow on the White House.
So is Obama the antichrist? Is our Commander-in-Chief a Christian? Is he the first Muslim president? The debate continues.

She Started Praising Jesus On Jimmy Fallon, How The Crowd Reacted? WOW!

She Started Praising Jesus On Jimmy Fallon, How The Crowd Reacted? WOW!

I’ve been a Jimmy Fallon fan for years, but what gospel singer Yolanda Adams just did on his show will go down as the best performance in the history of The Tonight Show. This gave me chills!

A standing ovation was all that remained after Grammy award-winning gospel singer, Yolanda Adams, performed on The Tonight Show. The 53-year-old (gasp!) singer stole the show with her powerhouse performance of her hit song “Victory” and it was so good that I watched it over and over. Even Jimmy Fallon stumbled over his words after Yolanda brought the worship of a lifetime to liberal NBC!

“Oh my goodness! OH MY GOODNESS!,” Jimmy shouted when Yolanda finished. “Thank you! Oh my goodness! Look at that! Standing ovation right there and why not? Well deserved!”

Yolanda’s flawless voice, the soulful choir, the talented instrumentalists, and the touching lyrics gave me CHILLS! It was so brave of the Texas native to take a stand for Christianity on a notoriously liberal network. Check out some of the lyrics from “Victory” that left the audience cheering.

“Truly I’ve been through the storm and rain. I know everything about heartache and pain. God carried me through it all. Without His protection I’d surely fall. I've been broke without a dime to my name. But all my bills got paid because I called on Jesus name. You can’t tell me that God isn't real ’cause I’ve got the victory and that’s why I'm still here.”

Watch the breathtaking performance right now! Click below.

FLAWLESS! It’s beautiful to see Yolanda share her Christian faith so fearlessly. I can’t think of a more perfect way to glorify God with the talent He blessed her with!

Presence of God 'Strong' During Saeed's Prison Visit

Presence of God 'Strong' During Saeed's Prison Visit

Pastor Saeed Abedini's wife, Naghmeh, says that the presence of the Lord was evident during a recent visit from Saeed's father to the prison where her husband is being held in Iran.
Saeed is currently serving an eight year sentence in Iran's worst prisons after being arrested for his Christian faith.
Naghmeh said her father-in-law was able to visit her husband Wednesday, and the men were able to pray and read the Bible together as guards watched.
"The normal 20 minute visit turned into 40 minutes which turned into an hour which turned into a few hours! Saeed and his father were shocked the amount of time that they were allowed," Naghmeh wrote on her Facebook page.
"The presence of the Lord was so strong that the guards did not want to intervene and end the visit! Praise the Lord!" she said.
Naghmeh said that Saeed was able to hear words of encouragement from those praying for him, and was reminded that he is not forgotten.
She ended her post asking for more prayers for her husband.
"Continued prayers appreciated for Saeed's health, his nutrition, and for clean water. The quality of the prison water is very poor and so is the nutrition (lack of protein). Saeed has not been able to purchase mineral water or protein from the prison store as they have stopped providing them for purchase which has affected his health," she wrote.
The ACLJ has launched a letter writing campaign to Iran's president on Pastor Saeed's behalf.
You can join the initiative by sending a pre-written letter, or you can write your own words to the Iranian president at the Be Heard Project: Saeed Abedini.

'It's a Miracle.' Saeed's Wife Says Obama Will Meet with Her

'It's a Miracle.' Saeed's Wife Says Obama Will Meet with Her

Naghmeh Abedini, the wife of imprisoned American pastor Saeed Abedini, says she and her children will meet with President Barack Obama Wednesday.
She tweeted Tuesday night, "Praise God!  It is a miracle!"
The Idaho Statesman reports Naghmeh Abedini received confirmation Tuesday that Obama agreed to meet with her and her two young children.
Obama is making a rare visit to Boise, Idaho, on Wednesday, which is also happens to be the hometown of Pastor Saeed Abedini.
Earlier Tuesday, ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow talked more about the president's visit and what he hopes to see unfold on CBN News.
Abedini is a U.S. citizen who has been wrongfully imprisoned by Iran for his Christian faith. His wife, Nagmeh , wrote a letter to the White House, requesting a meeting with the president while he's in town.
"My heart leapt with hope when I heard that you would be visiting my hometown of Boise, Idaho," she wrote.
"I have been praying and wanting to meet with you... to have you look into my eyes and see the piercing pain that has been there since my husband's imprisonment; to see my kids and to know that they have missed the warm embrace of their dad for nearly three years," she continued.
"You speak about the need to protect religious freedom and human rights," she said. "Saeed is imprisoned merely because of his Christian faith. My husband has committed no crime - he chose to exercise his God-given right to choose his own faith."
The American Center for Law and Justice also wrote to the president, saying this is the perfect opportunity for the U.S. government to show more of an interest in Abedini's plight.
"There are public reports that the United States may reach a nuclear deal with Iran without securing the release of Americans held captive in that country," ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow wrote.
"When you are in Boise, we request that you take a few minutes from your schedule to meet with Pastor Saeed's wife, Naghmeh," the letter continues. "After enduring years of fear and uncertainty, she deserves to be heard."
