It Is Time for the Daughters of the Lord to Arise - Amanda Shiflett

God is raising up courageous women in this hour to war against the enemy.
God is raising up courageous women in this hour to war against the enemy. (Ministries for Life)

Join us on our new podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

As I've been praying about this new Hebrew year of 5776, the Lord revealed some amazing things that I want to share. Since we have now moved from 5775 to 5776, and to see what this year may hold prophetically, we look at the number six to see its meaning in Hebrew.
The number six is vav. a word meaning "peg" or "hook."
As I was studying this, the Lord immediately brought back to me the story of Jael in Scripture, which you can read about in Judges 4. In this epic event, the Lord delivered the Israelites out of the hands of the oppressive Canaanites, and He did so in a remarkable way!
He used an unknown woman who was not even an Israelite to defeat the head of the Canaanite army, a man named Sisera. The Bible says that the Canaanites had "harshly oppressed the children of Israel for 20 years." The Israelite army, along with their leader, Barak, had come up against the army of the Canaanites, and began to drive them back. As a result, their leader, Sisera fled on foot, and came upon the tent of a woman name Jael, who was a Kenite, not an Israelite.
As he lay down to rest in her tent, and fell asleep, this audacious woman took a tent peg and drove it through his head. Although her tactics were unconventional, they were extremely effective! She used what she had to defeat the enemy, and in doing so, her name is forever blazoned in biblical history as a hero!
In killing Sisera, she made it possible for the Israelites to win the battle, as Scripture tells us that from that day forward Israel grew stronger and stronger against the Canaanites until they utterly destroyed them. Jael used the only thing she had, which didn't seem like much, but it destroyed the "head," in more ways than one.
The Spirit spoke to me and said, "I will be raising many up in this year—5776—who will use what I have placed in their hand (the tent peg) to destroy the plans of Satan and take out the 'head' of the enemy who has kept them oppressed and defeated ... the enemy who is waging war in their family, their city  and their nation!"
He also began to show me that many of those He will be raising up will be the most unlikely ones ... those whom no one would suspect, who have no rank or title. He will use them to destroy the enemy who has kept so many bound for far too long.
They may not seem to be the strongest or the most qualified, but if they will obey the Lord and use what is in their hand, they will forever change their destiny, their territory and their generation.
I also felt the Lord saying that, just as He did then, He is especially raising up courageous women, for such a time as this, to war against the enemy. It is time for the daughters of the Lord to arise, and take their place in His army. We must fight the our soul's enemy, who has kept us oppressed and who is seeking to destroy us as well as all those around us.
The Lord has given us His tools, and though at times they may not seem like much to fight with, He will show us how best to use what He has given us, to destroy the "head" of the armies that are fighting against us. Something else the Lord began to show me about this story in Judges 4 is that Jael was alive during the reign of Deborah, the judge and prophetess. Deborah was truly a prophetess of the Lord, but she was also a judge, which means she carried an apostolic anointing.
This is why the Israelites were able to throw off the oppression of the Canaanites during her lifetime. Not only did Deborah prophetically hear what the Lord was saying and what was coming, she equipped and charged the Israelite army and its leader, Barak, to go forth in battle and fight for their freedom. In addition to the women the Lord is raising up, the Lord will be placing many men of God into leadership positions alongside these women.
They, like Barak with Deborah, will be able to listen and heed the voice of the women of God that He has anointed for this hour. They will not care who gets the credit. They will have no prejudice, and will be able to discern those whom the Lord has appointed to be apostolic and prophetic leaders in the kingdom during these last days.
Jael was not an Israelite, but she was close enough to the boundaries of Israel to most likely have heard of the judge and prophetess Deborah. I do not believe it is by mere chance that the Lord used a woman of no consequence to kill the head of the enemy army, during the very time that the entire nation of Israel was being ruled by a woman.
In fact, Deborah even prophesied that the Lord would use a woman to destroy the enemy army. She tells Barak, the leader of the Israelite army, that she will go with him into battle at his request, but also tells him that there would be no glory for him because Sisera would die at the hands of a woman.
I believe Jael was only able to have the courage and wherewithal to strike a fatal blow to the enemy, because she had already heard of a mighty woman of God who ruled the entire nation of Israel, a woman who was a prophetess as well as an apostolic leader.
The Lord told me that He is also raising up Deborahs in this hour who will lead an entire army and put the enemy on the run. They are a hybrid warrior of apostolic (judge) and prophetic leader. These women will raise up many "Jaels" under them, who will strike deathly blows against the enemies in their own territory and sphere of the kingdom.
These are the daughters of Deborah, and this is their year. Armed with the hammer of authority and the "peg" of purpose, they will pursue their destiny and make their mark in kingdom history.

"I Saw An Army of Women!" - Victoria Boyson

"I Saw An Army of Women!"
Victoria Boyson, Montgomery, TX
The Elijah List

"Can I have One Billion Souls, Lord?"

"Kings and armies flee in haste; the women at home divide the plunder" Psalm 68:12 NIV

After I'd been praying, prophesying and believing God for revival for years, the Father asked me one day, "What kind of revival do you want?"

Knowing full-well His questions are usually leading questions, I asked Him, "Well, what kind of revival should I want, Father?"

He answered back, "Do you want a revival of souls or of miracles?"

I thought for a bit and answered, "I want a revival of souls...with a lot of miracles!"

"How many souls do you want?" He continued.

Digging deep for an answer, I remembered Evan Roberts from the historical Welsh revival asked God for 100,000 souls and he got them. So, I hesitantly answered, "Could I have 100,000 souls, Lord?"

He was silent.

I knew I had answered timidly, so I tried again. Reaching for more faith, I answered, "500,000 souls, Lord?"

Again, I heard nothing.

I knew I was not believing for enough from Him and tried again. "1,000,000 souls, Lord?" I asked sheepishly.

Again, nothing. I tried again, "5,000,000?"

Nothing.

Wow! I really thought I was led by faith with that last guess, so I just threw caution to the wind and declared loudly, "One-billion souls, Lord!!!"

"Now you are talking, daughter," He answered.
Later, I questioned Him, "Lord, how could I win a billion souls?" (Photo via flickr)

That is when He showed me His simple equation for exponential revival. He said, "All you need to start with is 5,000 people, sold out and equipped to redeem the harvest."

If those 5000 people each led only 3 people to the Lord, that would be 15,000, turning it over only 5 times, you would already be at 1 million people, and that is only the beginning. I saw it all as He laid out His plan in my spirit. With only 5,000 awakened Believers, I could win one billion souls.
So, when I think of you, dear friend, reading this message and walking in the liberty of the Father, I don't see you alone – I see 1 billion souls coming to Jesus through you!

A Great Light

One night as I slept, I was awakened by the Lord as His presence filled the room. Suddenly, I saw myself sitting in my little home, safe and snuggling, spending precious time with Jesus. As I continued to watch the vision unfold, I saw myself get up from my comfy chair and dart out into the dark chill of the night. Guided by one small torch, I felt compelled to venture into the night to try and light the way for the lost, whom I knew in my heart were trying desperately to find their way home.

As I stood atop a lone dark hill, I raised up my torch as high as I could. In the hope the lost would see its light, I held it for them to find their way in the darkness. Off in the distance, a group of wolves laughed at my little light and mocked my faith, "They will never see your puny light, girl."

I knew they were right in that my light wasn't much, but it was all I could do for them. So, I held it as high as I could for as long as I could stand it. Off in the distance, hidden by a thick covering of woods, I sensed the lost, too afraid to come to the light. Bolstered by the penetrating night, the wolves taunted them with their contempt as the heavy darkness blocked their way home.

Anger rose inside me in response to the audacity of the haughty wolves. It was terribly dark, yet their apathy enraged me. Throwing my head back, closing my eyes and looking toward Heaven, I cried out to God, "Make my light brighter, Lord!"

When I opened my eyes, I saw the entire hillside was lit up with a great light. As I looked around, it was literally covered with a large crowd of women (and some men) all holding their torches high into the night's sky to guide the lost home.

King David prophesied of a great host of women victorious in battle, "The Lord announces the word (Divine utterance), and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng: 'Kings and armies flee in haste; the women at home divide the plunder!'" (Psalm 68:11-12 NIV, emphasis mine).

God Will Bring the Victory to YOU!

The enemy has tried desperately to limit the effectiveness of women, but, just like Jael in Judges 4:17-24, if the enemy keeps you from going to war, God will bring the victory to you. So, let the enemy underestimate you. By underestimating you, he's just given you the keys to destroy him. He's placed you in just the right position to ruin him.

Deborah was a prophet who governed the entire nation of Israel while Sisera lead King Jabin's army against Israel. One day she called for Barak to lead the armies of Israel in battle against the Canaanite king. She said to him, "This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: Call out 10,000 warriors from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun at Mount Tabor. And I will call out Sisera, commander of Jabin's army, along with his chariots and warriors, to the Kishon River. There I will give you victory over him" (Judges 4:6-7 NLT).

Yet, despite Deborah's assurance of victory, Barak refused to go against Sisera unless Deborah agreed to go with him (Judges 4:8). Deborah agreed to go with the army, but prophesied that because of his lack of faith, he would receive no honor from the victory God would give them.

Instead, she said, "The Lord's victory over Sisera will be at the hands of a woman" (Judges 4:9 NLT). That woman was Jael. She was at home in her tent, but God brought the battle to her. (Photo by Donna Smallenberg "The Song of Deborah " via elijahshopper.com)

When Barak attacked, God caused Sisera and his men to run in panic. Looking for an escape, "Sisera ran to the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, because Heber's family was on friendly terms with King Jabin of Hazor. Jael went out to meet Sisera and said to him, 'Come into my tent, sir. Come in. Don't be afraid.' So he went into her tent, and she covered him with a blanket.

'Please give me some water,' he said. 'I'm thirsty.' So she gave him some milk from a leather bag and covered him again. 'Stand at the door of the tent,' he told her. 'If anybody comes and asks you if there is anyone here, say no.' But when Sisera fell asleep from exhaustion, Jael quietly crept up to him with a hammer and tent peg in her hand. Then she drove the tent peg through his temple and into the ground, and so he died.

When Barak came looking for Sisera, Jael went out to meet him. She said, 'Come, and I will show you the man you are looking for.' So he followed her into the tent and found Sisera lying there dead, with the tent peg through his temple" (Judges 4:17-22 NLT).

Jael was probably the last one that Barak considered would win the battle for Israel that day, but God chose her for that very reason. God was sending us a message: We cannot limit Him! He refuses to be put in a box! Tell Him He can't do something and that is just what He will do. Give Him a desert and He'll make a forest (Isaiah 41:19). Give Him a housewife and He'll make her a warrior. This is God's heart concerning you. He sees beyond our weaknesses and sees a victorious warrior.

Who Are You?

When I first began to write, a good friend of mine offered to show my writings to an editor of a major publication. Of course I was delighted...until I heard back from her. The editor thought my writing was good, but implied I was a nobody, with no influence. "Who is she," the editor asked my good friend, "to tell me how to live..." It hit me like a brick and for another ten years I wrote nothing. I listened to their words and let them define me.

Ten years later, God showed me a vision for my writing. I saw a simple notebook full of prophetic words the Lord gave me and from the center of the page four silvery white birds suddenly appeared and flew out from the pages. I watched as I saw the birds fly all over the world – from an African hut, to the elaborate rooms of a palace and pulpits all over the globe. The Father promised me, "If you obey Me, I will carry your words all over the world." (Photo via Wikipedia)

I was simply in shock and fought hard to even believe what God showed me, but I obeyed Him and wrote. God fulfilled His promise to me and He has literally taken my simple words all over the world.

It began simply, as I was home raising my children, but it didn't take long before I was covering the world with His messages of hope. God brought the battle to me! I was just a simple housewife, yet from this humble beginning the Lord has given me the possibility of reaching the world. He has sent His messages "throughout the earth, and (His) words to all the world" (Psalm 19:4 NLT, emphasis mine).

Harvest of Potential

God did not create you to live in survival mode. He created you with the intention that you would enjoy your life and thrive – living to your fullest potential in Him. That is what He designed you for and it is His delight. He gets great joy in seeing you walk in the fullness of your potential. He enjoys your enjoyment. He has placed deep wells of potential inside you, which He intends to draw.

When the Father called you out of your shell to do the greater works (John 14:12) He planned for you to do, He anticipated everything you would need to accomplish His will. It's already inside you waiting to be harvested – to birth your dreams and manifest God's presence. (Photo via pixabay)

Just like Adam and Eve were convinced of their failure (Genesis 3:10), we battle the same feelings of inadequacies. Invariably, the lies sown into our roots at the beginning of our lives try desperately to hinder our growth and potential. And just like Adam and Eve, God says to you: "Who told you that you were naked?"(Genesis 3:11 NLT). God sees the lies the enemy has sown in your heart much more clearly than you do, so He calls your attention to it so you can uproot it.

The reality is: there is a war in the heavens over possession of your heart and mind. When you battle with the lies of the enemy, you will begin to see the realization of your potential. It is incredibly vital to Heaven and so very necessary to the Earth – you are that important. As you take authority over the lies of the enemy that want to rob you of your confidence, know you are not just wrestling for your own sake, but for the triumph of the Kingdom of Heaven.

As you stand in confidence to defeat destiny's thief, understand and recognize you stand in the confidence of the entire Kingdom of Heaven. So, tell that devil he has no chance against you and refuse to give him any place in your life. "Submit yourselves...to God. Resist the devil, and he WILL [literally] FLEE from you" (James 4:7 NIV emphasis mine).

God has placed wells of potential inside of you, and as you draw from it, you bring a great reward to His Kingdom. Draw near to Him and He will harvest your potential. Be confident that,"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus"(Philippians 1:6 NIV).

Psalm 68:11 prophesied the coming of a great army of women who would experience incredible victories for the Kingdom of Christ. God is calling His warrior-women to the forefront of the battle.

Women of Impact

My friends, Dr. Theresa Phillips (Praise Ministries Church in Chicago), Derene Shultz (co-founder of the Elijah List), and I have launched a group called WOMEN OF IMPACT. It is a movement designed by God to enable women to impact the world around them. Our goal is to raise an army, strengthen them, encourage them and then watch them bring in the harvest! Join us in Montgomery, TX this comingJune 4-6 for a powerful, life-changing time of ministry and impartation.

Just like the Samaritan woman at the well started the first revival and brought in a great harvest for the Lord (John 4:7-42), it is time for the women to join in declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations.

At the beginning of the year, God gave me a little rhyme – "Raise an Army, Prepare the Way, Light the Torch... it's time to Play!"

Truly, the Father has prepared you and now He's calling you. He needs you. The harvest is waiting – will you come?

Properly Interpreting Revelation By James W. Goll

Properly Interpreting Revelation By James W. Goll

James Goll

Some years ago I was traveling through the night by train from the Frankfurt, Germany region to Rossenheim in southern Bavaria. I was in one of the sleeping cars but, unable to sleep, I spent much of my time praying in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit kept speaking to me over and over, "Where are My Daniels? Where are My Esthers? Where are My Josephs, and where are My Deborahs?"

After many years of pondering on this word, I believe that the Holy Spirit is on a quest to find believers He can work with - believers who will dream God's dreams at any cost - who have a discerning spirit to properly interpret the times, and learn to intercede out of a posture of revelation.

Daniel, Esther, Joseph, and Deborah were godly people who possessed the spirit of revelation and who altered destinies and changed history through the revelation that was bestowed on them. They trusted the Lord for wisdom and insight and served His purposes in their generation. Today the Spirit of God is looking for like-minded and like-hearted individuals who will be the Daniels, the Esthers, the Josephs, and the Deborahs for their day.

Like the biblical heroes before them, these modern-day trailblazers will study to show themselves approved as workmen for God, rightly dividing the word of truth (revelation) that is given to them (see 2 Tim. 2:15 KJV). And, like their Old Testament counterparts, they will learn to speak the language of that revelation in a manner that is relevant to their contemporaries.

What Language Do You Speak?

Before you can interpret your dreams and visions properly or intercede effectively from the posture of revelation, you must understand the language of that revelation.

What language do you speak? Have you learned your spiritual alphabet? Your spiritual alphabet will be unique to you. God will speak revelation to you according to the language you speak. Doctors, nurses, and other medical and health professionals have a language all their own, a technical vocabulary that untrained lay people cannot understand. Music has a written language that is incomprehensible to anyone who has never been taught to read the symbols. Pastors have their own language, too. This can cause problems when their language does not match that of their congregations!

What language do you speak? Whatever your language is, the Holy Spirit will speak to you in that language. Of course, I am not talking so much about languages like English, French, German, Russian, or Spanish, as I am the "language" with which we interpret life. Because each of us has different life experiences, the language by which we receive and impart revelation will be distinct to each of us. We each have a personal walk and, in a sense, a personal talk. Our spiritual alphabet, though similar, is unique to each individual.

Interpreting Your Dream Revelation

Regardless of how our individual spiritual alphabets differ, our basic approach to interpretation should be the same. Proper interpretation can occur on many different levels. Here are three simple steps for interpreting your dream revelation:

1.    Study the interpretation of words and symbols by researching their meanings as recorded in Scripture and other historical literature. Find out how biblical characters and other figures from the past interpreted these words and symbols in a dream context. This is an excellent (and probably the easiest) way to begin.

2.    Develop the habit of journaling. Effective interpretation is a skill that is learned over time and with experience. Your spiritual alphabet is unique to you. Journaling will help you capture your distinct pictures, grant understanding over time, and give wisdom for your journey.

3.    Welcome the anointing, gifting, and presence of the Holy Spirit. He will guide you into truth, keeping things safe yet adventurous and pure yet unreligious.

In your eagerness to reach step three, don't bypass steps one and two. Always begin with the Scriptures. Let the Bible be its own best commentary. God will never contradict His Word. Let His written Word give you insight into the meaning of His visionary revelation. Study it thoroughly. Pray over it. Lay a solid foundation of the Word in your life to give the Holy Spirit something to breathe upon.

Interpreting dreams is like putting together a giant jigsaw puzzle with thousands of tiny pieces that must be fitted together in exactly the right order. The quickest way to complete a jigsaw puzzle is to start with the border - the framework - and the same is true with dream interpretation. Once you have the framework in place it becomes easier to see where the rest of the pieces go. Before long, the big picture begins to take shape. At least, that's the way it usually works for me. I ask the Holy Spirit to give me a thought or a word. He sheds His light on one thing, which leads me to another, and another, and then everything just starts to click.

Interpretations Belong to God

The cardinal rule to keep in mind when properly interpreting dreams and visions is that "interpretations belong to God." He who gives you the spirit of revelation is also the one who gives you the capacity to interpret that revelation. Here are some biblical examples:

·         From the life of Joseph:

Then they said to him, "We have had a dream and there is no one to interpret it." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell it to me, please." (Genesis 40:8)

Imagine being in the place where you are so sure that interpretations belong to God and so absolutely confident in His anointing that, like Joseph, you could say to someone, "Tell it [your dream] to me," and know that God would give you the interpretation!

·         From the life of Daniel:

As for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every branch of literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of visions and dreams.....As for every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and conjurers who were in all his realm (Daniel 1:17,20).

Daniel was even given the ability to interpret the handwriting on the wall that King Belshazzar saw, which foretold the king's death under God's judgment (see Daniel 5:1-31).

Although it may not come out in Aramaic or Hebrew or Greek or English or Spanish, God writes in signs to His people and He wants to give us the capacity to interpret the signs of the times. We need to pray for the Lord to release in our own day godly people of wisdom who can interpret the handwriting on the wall for our generation.

·         From the life of Issachar:

Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command (1 Chronicles 12:32).

Two hundred chiefs "who understood the times" held an entire tribe under their command. How? People will follow a person who has revelation. People will be drawn to anyone who walks with integrity in the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

The more you learn how to listen and recognize the voice of the Spirit of God, the more He will enable you to operate on multiple levels of insight. God is the master multitasker and He can enable you to be a multitasker as well. You can listen on more than one level. You can listen to the heart of a person, you can listen to the realm of the soul, and you can listen to the Holy Spirit. It requires a fair measure of grace and the ability to block out the noise of friction, static, and distractions, but all things are possible.

What God did before, He wants to do again! Right here, right now!

Blessings,
