Israel Strikes Launchers of Burning Kites from Gaza Strip

CBN News Steve Warren
Israeli military jets fired on a vehicle early Sunday belonging to someone who sent burning kites
flying into Israel from Gaza.

The Israeli military said no one was injured in the strike.

The incident is an escalation in Israel's response to the phenomenon that has wreaked havoc on
agriculture in southern Israel in recent weeks. Burning kites set fields ablaze in more than a
dozen locations Saturday.

Gazans began flying kites with burning rags attached to them during the mass protests against
the Israeli and Egyptian blockade of the territory.

Terror by Fire: Palestinians Launching Hundreds of 'Fire Kites' to Torch Israel

'Terror Kites' Causing Massive Fires in Southern Israel

Gaza-Based Terror Cells Fire 50+ Rockets and Mortars at Israel

Israeli troops have fired on the protesters in self-defense since the weekly demonstrations began
in March. The Israeli military says militants have used the protests as cover to carry out attacks
and to try to breach the border fence.

The protests have been led by the Islamic militant group Hamas, which rules Gaza. Israel says it
holds Hamas responsible for the fires.

While Israel has been mostly successful in thwarting militant attempts to breach the border and
defend against rocket fire, it has struggled to stop the airborne kites drifting into its territory.

A parliamentary committee last week said the fires have destroyed more than 6,000 acres of land
in recent weeks, causing some $2 million in damages. Israel says it plans to deduct from tax funds
it collects for the Palestinians to compensate farmers.

The military says its drones have been able to shoot down more than 90 percent of the kites and
flaming balloons, and it will continue to target them.

Cabinet Minister Naftali Bennett compared the kites to rockets and said the response should be
the same.

"We should not wait until Israeli citizens are hurt and only then wake up," he said.

In the West Bank, meanwhile, Israeli police evicted Jewish settlers from 10 homes they had built
in violation of Israeli law.

Israel captured the West Bank along with east Jerusalem in the 1967 war and today about 600,000
settlers live in those areas.

Israel's Supreme Court often has ruled that structures built illegally have to be evacuated and
demolished. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said 11 officers were wounded in scuffles and
that police arrested six protesters for violence.

Trump Family Has 50-Year History of Donating to Jewish, Israeli Causes - JNI Media BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Trump Family Has 50-Year History of Donating to Jewish, Israeli Causes

“Thou shalt surely open thy hand unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need in that which he wanteth.” Deuteronomy 15:8 (The Israel Bible™)
Israeli media have reported several important donations made in years past by both the late Fred Trump and his son, now President Elect Donald Trump.
Some 50 years ago, real estate developer Fredrick Trump donated the land for the Talmud Torah of the Beach Haven Jewish Center at 723 Ave. Z in Flatbush, NY, as can be seen from a promotional image released by that institution. The center is open and active to this day, offering programs for youth and the elderly, as well as an active synagogue.
And Fred’s son, as reported by Yediot Ahronot, donated heavily on both occasions when Israelis who had been expelled from their homes by their own government needed assistance to resettle.
Donald Trump donated in the 1980s to help build new infrastructure for the Israelis removed from the northern Sinai by the Begin government, which returned the peninsula to Egypt as part of the peace agreement. Then, in 2005, Trump gave again, to help resettle the Jews of Gush Katif in the Gaza Strip, exiled by the Ariel Sharon government.

Are you serious? CNN did WHAT to Israel?? - ISRAEL VIDEO NETWORK

Are you serious? CNN did WHAT to Israel??

ISRAEL VIDEO NETWORK  Nov. 6, 2016

CNN has been bashing Israel for decades. The headlines say it all. Is there a double standard here? Is CNN perhaps the most unfair and one-sided news broadcasting network?
ISIS are terrorists and Hamas is not a terrorist organization?
Who are they fooling?
Honest Reporting hits it on the nose. Way to go Honest Reporting.
If CNN covers Israel with a double standard, then it’s time CNN gets treated with a different standard than other news outlets.

Israel Says Palestinians to Blame for Lack of Water - Israel Today

Israel Says Palestinians to Blame for Lack of Water

Tuesday, November 08, 2016 |  Israel Today Staff
Maj.-Gen. Yoav Mordechai, Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), has warned in a letter to the international community that the water supply in Gaza and the so-called “West Bank” will soon falter if the Palestinians continue to refuse to cooperate.
Since 2010, the Palestinian Authority has boycotted meetings of the Joint Water Committee set up under the Oslo Accords to ensure a safe water supply for all residents of this parched region.
Mordechai noted that “the Gaza Strip is almost entirely dependent on the pumping of groundwater, but due to over-pumping 96 percent of that water is unsuitable for drinking.”
Despite Israel’s efforts to improve the situation, Mordechai fears a crisis is now unavoidable. There is a plan, among others, in place to build a water pipeline from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea, improving water supplies for Israel, Jordan and the Palestinians. But the so-called “Red-Dead Agreement” can not be implemented until the Palestinian Authority sign it, which they refuse to do.
According to General Mordechai, the water crisis is expected to hit next summer, barring a dramatic shift in the attitude of the Palestinian Authority.
“We will continue to promote cooperation and hope that our efforts will bear fruit,” Mordechai concluded his letter. “We call on the international community to support the renewal (of) cooperation and promoting water.”

Israel Helps Transfer Gaza Animals To New Zoos - CBN News

Tiger Zoo
Israel Helps Transfer Gaza Animals To New Zoos

CBN News 08-25-2016

In what is being called "a complex operation," a group of animals including a tiger were transferred from the Gaza Strip to Israel – on their way to new homes.
In a coordinated effort between several Israeli government agencies and Palestinian officials, special cages, veterinary equipment and medicines were brought into the Gaza Strip to facilitate care of the animals before the actual transfer, a statement released from the Israeli Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry said.
"Given the less than satisfactory conditions and in the absence of the ability to continue caring for the animals at the Khan Yunis zoo, the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry assisted and coordinated the transfer of the animals to zoos in Israel and around the world," said Uri Madar from the Agriculture Ministry Gaza Coordination and Liaison Office.
The animals included the tiger, five monkeys, two ostriches, two gazelles, two tortoises, a swan and a porcupine. They're the last animals left in the Khan Yunis zoo in southern Gaza. Operation of the zoo had become difficult in recent years.
The animals will be transferred to zoos in South Africa, Jordan and Israel.
An organization called "Four Paws" initiated the move and said what it called the "worst zoo in the world" had finally been closed.
"Over the last two years, the ministry transferred lions, a horse and other animals," Madar said. "Our veterinary services have been continually active and are devoted to the welfare and health of the animals. We are delighted and moved every time we are able to be of assistance in saving the lives of animals."
The operation was unusual because it involved permission from the terror group Hamas, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007 and has fired thousands of rockets into Israeli cities, farms and villages.

Gaza Strip Shown as Beautiful Paradise in New Hamas Propaganda Video - Abra Forman BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Hamas's new propaganda video shows Gaza as a beautiful beach paradise. (Video Screenshot)

Gaza Strip Shown as Beautiful Paradise in New Hamas Propaganda Video [WATCH]

“I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards.” Ecclesiastes 2:5 (The Israel Bible™)
Flying in the face of Arab condemnations of Israel for its creation of an “open-air prison” in Gaza, Hamas’s new propaganda video shows the enclave as a resort paradise, complete with beautiful beaches, smiling citizens, and a clean, modern infrastructure.
The new video, released ahead of upcoming Palestinian municipal elections in which Hamas and Fatah will compete for rule of the West Bank, is an attempt to show off Hamas’s achievements and success in its governance of the Gaza Strip. The camera pans from Gaza’s beaches to its hotels, malls and shops, over views of neat city blocks and beautiful parks, all against the background of an upbeat Arab-style tune.

A Gazan family holds a sign reading #Thank You Hamas. (Video Screenshot)

The 2-and-a-half minute video showcases athletes on manicured athletic fields, university students in caps and gowns, families on boat outings, children roller-blading, clean hospitals, large mosques, extravagant halls, a hopping nightlife, and many other markers of a prosperous and joyous place to live.
Smiling, happy Gazans are featured holding up signs with an Arabic hashtag reading, “Thank you Hamas.”
Despite the constant attention drawn to Gaza’s poverty and hardships by Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, there is no hint of scarcity, oppression, hunger, or want in the video.
The time is now! Help the IDF fight terror. Donate to LIBI today!
There is, however, a disturbing and evocative image seemingly intended to remind Palestinians of Hamas’s triumphs over Israel. The video shows a statue of an iron fist atop what appears to be an IDF military vehicle. Clutched in the fist is a replica of the dog tags of Oron Shaul, an Israeli soldier who fell in Gaza during 2014’s Operation Protective Edge and whose body is now being held by Hamas.

If there was any doubt, the dog tags show Shaul’s army ID: 6092065.
It seems that while Hamas is eager to play the victim to the rest of the world, when it comes to appealing to Palestinian voters, the terror group is exercising a different muscle of its propaganda wing.
On the opposing side, Fatah is attempting to win votes by bragging about its own achievements. However, those don’t include any kind of improvement on quality of life for Palestinians under Fatah’s rule. Rather, the party of Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas is going in another direction, boasting about its success in killing 11,000 Israelis, participating in intifadas, and performing acts of terror.
It remains to be seen which campaign tactic will be best received.
An Arab News article published in May said that Israel’s economic blockade of Gaza was “sapping life out of the besieged Strip and if it continues experts believe it will turn it into an uninhabitable territory in a matter of few years.”
Ban Ki-moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations, said that the closure of Gaza “suffocates its people, stifles its economy and impede reconstruction effort.”
According to Hamas, the “besieged” and “suffocating” Gaza Strip is doing just fine.

Captured Hamas Terrorist Spills Vital Details on Terror Tunnels by Michael Zeff - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Captured Hamas Terrorist Spills Vital Details on Terror Tunnels

“He uncovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.” Job 12:22 (The Israel Bible™)
The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) cleared for publication on Sunday that it apprehended a member of the Hamas military wing Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
According to a statement made by the Shin Bet, the 17-year-old resident of Gaza was part of the Beit Lahiya battalion of al-Qassam Brigades. He was captured shortly after infiltrating Israel through the Gaza border fence during a large scale interagency operation conducted by the Shin Bet, the IDF, and the Israel Police in May.
According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the arrest and subsequent interrogation of the minor yielded invaluable information about Hamas’s tunnel-warfare capability as well as information about the the terrorist organization’s recruitment process and training in addition to intelligence about other operatives of Hamas’s military wing.
“The perpetrator conveyed valuable information regarding Hamas activities in the northern Gaza Strip and especially Hamas’s offensive tunnels,” stated an IDF spokesperson. “Additional information was revealed regarding Hamas’s methods of building tunnels, communication within the tunnels, and multiple digging locations intended to be used by Hamas to infiltrate Israel during conflict.”
According to the Shin Bet, the suspect revealed revealed the locations of numerous tunnel entrances inside the Gaza Strip, many of which are located in civilian complexes such as densely populated residential buildings, mosques, and schools.
“The tunnel entrances are located in such a way that deliberately puts the civilian population in Gaza at risk,” stated the Shin Bet communications department.

Floors of Israelis Shaking as Hamas Digs Tunnels Under Them - Ron Cantor MESSIAH'S MANDATE

Floors of Israelis Shaking as Hamas Digs Tunnels Under Them

Ron Cantor —  February 5, 2016
You are Israeli. You are eating dinner with your family. Suddenly the floors start shaking. Your son ask you, “Dad, what is that? Why is the food moving on the table?” Do you tell him? “Avi, that is just Hamas rebuilding tunnels so they can attack us here in the kibbutz [i].”

Shaking Floors

That’s right. Residents of Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip “complained that tunnel digging into Israel from Hamas-run territory has come so close to their homes that it has caused their floors to shake.” (timesofisrael.com)

Stealing From Their Own People… Again

This came to light about a week ago on several television news shows and, until just a few days ago, our government had done little to stop it. Hamas is digging tunnels into Israel—by the way, using materials that are supposed to go to rebuilding the city—in order to carry out terror attacks and we are doing almost nothing to stop them. Hamas is taking the 3.5 million tons of building materials donated to the people of Gaza and instead of rebuilding homes (the intended purpose of the aid), they are building terror tunnels into Israel. The E.U., which often criticizes Israel when a Palestinian stubs his toe, has been largely silent in condemning Hamas.
Iran confirmed the resumption of tunnel digging by posting a video Sunday of a Hamas terrorist in one of the tunnels, boasting that it is 3.5 kilometers long and goes into Israel. The Iran report was clear, celebrating the intended goal of the tunnel—to carry out acts of terror.

The Israeli Left Demands Action

Only after massive criticism from the left-leaning opposition here in Israel, as well as a national outcry for the Netanyahu government to act, did the government begin to do something. Well, we assume it is the government—it may just be the hand of God.
Major General Yoav Mordechai warned Hamas today of consequences if the terror tunnel digging continues, “The tunnels that Hamas is digging will bring disaster to the Gaza Strip. They are tunnels of death.” (jpost.com)

IDF or the Hand of God?

This week three different tunnels collapsed on terrorists. Two terrorists have been confirmed dead and eight others missing. A week ago seven terrorists were crushed to death as a tunnel collapsed upon them. Ironically, as 250,000 Gazans came out to honor the dead terrorists at their funerals, a roof collapsed as several young men were standing on it, injuring many more.

It is unclear if these tunnels collapsed on their own, due to rains (as Hamas claims) or because of action from the IDF.
“When asked whether or not Israel has had a hand in the collapse of the terror tunnels in recent weeks, [General] Mordechai responded saying ‘God only knows.’” (jpost.com)
This is a serious escalation and despite the fact that the Islamic terror problem is growing globally, the E.U. still sees Hamas as a legitimate representative government of the Palestinians in Gaza. Instead they should be viewed just like ISIS. Silly western cowards believe the Hamas rhetoric and not their actions. Today Hamas denied that it has any interest in renewing the fight with Israel.
If that is true, then why is Avi’s kitchen table shaking?

US to Fund Israeli Anti-Tunnel Tech | Israel Today Staff

US to Fund Israeli Anti-Tunnel Tech

Wednesday, February 03, 2016 |  Israel Today Staff
Israel’s defense establishment is soon expecting an influx of US funds to complete work on an advanced anti-tunnel system that will hopefully prevent future terrorist incursions from the Gaza Strip.
The American Congress approved involvement in the Israeli project already last summer, and Washington has now agreed to match the Israeli government’s financial contribution by transferring $120 million, according to Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot.
The US sees the new system as being equally applicable in curbing illegal migration across the US-Mexican border.
Israel has been tight-lipped about the new system to date, and very few details have reached the press.
What is known is that Hamas and its terrorist allies have resumed in earnest their efforts to tunnel into southern Israel, and residents in the Jewish state’s Negev region are growing increasingly anxious over the situation.

Help a Palestinian Christian Become an Ambassador for Truth - ISRAEL TODAY

Help a Palestinian Christian Become an Ambassador for Truth

Wednesday, October 28, 2015 |  Israel Today Staff
The following is a personal message and appeal from our Palestinian Christian contributor “Matthew.”
If you would like to help “Matthew” meet the goal outlined below, send an email to ryan@israeltoday.co.il and we will put you in contact with him.
I was born in the Gaza Strip in 1994 to a nominal Christian family. I attended an Islamic school where I was taught day after day to hate all Jews and do whatever possible to destroy the State of Israel.
Despite growing up with this mentality, I was, as a Christian, nevertheless harassed and physically abused by Islamic groups trying to convert me, and responding angrily when I refused to do so, leading to more beatings and persecution.
Though I was a Christian in name only, I knew enough about Islam to make me reject converting.
At age 15, I decided to escape Gaza. As Christians, we would once or twice a year receive permits to visit Bethlehem or other “West Bank” towns. On Easter vacation of that year, we came to Ramallah, and I never went back.
At that point things went downhill as I got into drinking and partying and going out with the wrong people. I was stumbling continuously until one day I met a couple of strangers on the streets of Ramallah talking about the love of God, and that Jesus is the way and the savior.
I took these people for fools, but listened to them out of respect. They invited me to a meeting, and I thought to myself ‘what do I have to lose?’ So I went, and time after time the Lord changed my heart and filled me with love and compassion for all His people.
And He opened my eyes to a new perspective on Israel.
When I lived in Gaza, we were taught that the Israelis were our enemies and that we must hate them and fight to liberate Palestine from occupation. But when I came to the West Bank and started reading the Old Testament, I began to experience the love that God put in my heart for the Jewish people.
Soon, I had made hundreds of Israeli friends. I apologized for all the hate I previously held for them, and explained that I now understood that Israel has a right to exist as a nation and that God’s promise of this land to them is forever.
Holding such views has certainly caused me trouble in the West Bank, but it’s what I believe and I must share my faith.
Now I am embarking on a new journey to North Central College, near Chicago.
My time at North Central will help me in several ways. The course I will be attending is an English course, which will help me to more effectively open the eyes of those I speak to in the future. It will improve my English so that I can share the message of truth with a wider audience!
My calling is to spread the truth about the complex situation in this land, to open the eyes of many about the right of the Jews to this land, and to counter what the pro-Palestinian media tells the world.
The cost of my trip to the USA will be $6500 (tuition and flights). This does not include housing or personal expenses. The Lord has already blessed me with a family that will host me in their home for the duration of my stay.
I want to thank you in advance for all your prayer and support! Feel free to contact me by email with any more questions.
If you would like to help “Matthew,” send an email to ryan@israeltoday.co.il and we will put you in contact with him. This is to help ensure his safety.
