Urgent Prophetic Warning: 'The Spoilers Are Coming' - Jennifer LeClaire Charisma News

Urgent Prophetic Warning: 'The Spoilers Are Coming'

5:00PM 10/21/2017 Jennifer LeClaire  Charisma News

I heard the Lord say, "The spoilers are coming." In that moment, I felt a sense of urgency in my spirit like what Paul Revere probably experienced when he rode through the streets of Boston on his horse warning that the British were coming at the start of the Revolutionary War.
Many of you are fighting a revolutionary war. It's radical warfare against your radical freedom. It's a radical assault against your radical pursuit of God's Spirit.
What you may not know is that you're fighting against the spoilers. We find 19 references to "spoilers" in the Bible. Spoiler demons work under the John 10:10 mandate to steal, kill and destroy. Spoilers are plunderers. Plunder means "to take the goods of [a person or place] by force (as in war)" and "to take by force or wrongfully," according to Merriam-Webster.
Spoilers invade your territory and pillage what belongs to you, carrying away booty like a pirate at high sea (Ezek. 39:10). Spoilers work in darkness (Obad. 1:5). Spoilers prey upon you when you are not aware and ravage your treasures (1 Pet. 5:8).
You Will Spoil the Spoilers
Radical breakthrough belongs to you. When you engage in this revolutionary war against the spoilers, you'll gain so many spoils of war you won't have enough room to carry them all home. You'll see a victory like David at Ziklag when he spoiled the spoilers in 1 Samuel 30.
When David and his men came to Ziklag, the land the Philistines gave him to dwell while he was running from a spoiler named Saul, they discovered the Amalekites had raided his camp and burned it with fire. The spoilers took their wives and children and everything they had and fled. The men wanted to stone David, but he encouraged himself in the Lord and sought a battle strategy.
When David came upon the spoilers, 1 Samuel 30:16 tells us "they were eating, drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil which they had taken." Then David spoiled the spoilers:
"David struck them from twilight until the evening of the next day, and no man escaped except four hundred young men who rode on camels and fled. So David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken, and David rescued his two wives. Now there was nothing missing, from the smallest thing to the greatest, neither sons, nor daughters, or plunder, or anything which they had taken. David brought back all of it. And David took all the flocks and the herds, which they drove before the other livestock. And they said, 'This is David's spoil'" (1 Sam. 30:17-20).
Spoils You Cannot Contain
If that were the end of the story, it would be enough. God is just. But David not only took back what the spoilers stole, he took back far more—so much, indeed, that he had plenty to share with his allies.
"When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, 'Here is a gift to you from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord': to those who were in Bethel, in Ramoth of the Negev, and in Jattir; to those who were in Aroer, Siphmoth, Eshtemoa, and in Rakal; to those who were in the cities of the Jerahmeelites and the Kenites; to those who were in Hormah, Bor Ashan, Athak and in Hebron; and to those who were in all the other places where David and his men had roamed" (1 Sam. 30:26-31).
That's what you call a radical victory. When it comes to spoilers, you don't always see them coming. We pray and watch and hope to discern enemy attacks but sometimes we get blindsided by one enemy when we're fighting another enemy. Don't lose heart. You can recover all. You can spoil the spoilers with God's battle plan.

We celebrate life. Love For His People

We choose to celebrate life, even as death seems to overtake our world and all that is in it. May the life found in the Lord Jesus, Yeshua, be known even more today in your walk with Him. He is still on the throne and is in full control.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." Jesus (Yeshua) John 10:10, NASB

Joyce Meyer Reveals the Key to Understanding Your Spiritual Authority to Defeat the Enemy - CHARISMA NEWS

Do you know your spiritual authority in prayer? (Unsplash)
JOYCE MEYER  CHARISMA NEWS
I went to church for years and never heard about the devil. It's not fun talking about him, and I don't ever want to put too much focus on him. But the truth is, we have an enemy. First Peter 5:8b (AMPC) says, "...That enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour."
If we're going to defeat our enemy, it's important for us to believe in the power and authority we have in Christ. That's the only way we can have the great life God wants us to have.
There are so many Christians who seem to be going through their daily life just hoping they can make it through the day. They go from one problem or crisis to the next, and they lack a confident, bold faith in God that can keep them stable and full of His peace and joy in the difficult circumstances of life.
The good news is, God doesn't want us to live in the emergency room of life all the time. He wants us to get to the point where we know what to do to have a great life and take responsibility for ourselves, trusting we can do whatever we need to do through the strength we have in Christ (see Phil. 4:13). This means we know who we are in Christ and how to walk in the authority we have as believers in Jesus.
The Truth About What You Have in Christ
John 10:10 tells us Jesus gave His life so we can "have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)." When we accept Christ as our Savior, we receive the assurance of eternal life, but we also become joint heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17) and are entitled to have everything He is and everything He has: grace, peace, righteousness, joy and power and authority over the enemy.
Matthew 10:1 says, "Jesus summoned to Him His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of disease and all kinds of weakness and infirmity." This authority has been given to every believer. It's important to understand that the devil has power, but we have power and authority in Christ.
Our enemy only has the authority that we give him, and many times we give him the ability to attack us through ignorance.
The devil hates anyone who is trying to do any good in the world, and his influence can be seen in the evil things people do. For example, when I'm tempted to be selfish and complain, it's not God working in my life. James 1:13b, 17a says, "...God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. ... Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights" (NKJV).
We need to learn how to be proactive and resist the devil immediately when temptation comes. First Peter 5:9a (AMPC) says to "withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined]." Notice this verse says to resist him at his onset.
Don't wait to see how bad things will get or how much you can get away with before you get in trouble. Be firm in your faith at all times, and resist the enemy immediately when he comes against you. God has a plan for your life, and walking in the authority you have in Christ is an important part of experiencing His will for you.
The Greatest Weapon You Have
The Word of God is an offensive weapon in our warfare against the enemy. It contains life and has the power to renew our minds, heal our brokenness and change our lives! The Word contains God's wisdom and the direction we need for every problem we face. Everything we need is found in the Word; it's God's love letter to us, our instruction book for life and reveals all of God's promises to us as His children.
The power and authority in God's Word equips you to go after the devil—he hates the Word and must bow down to it. But we must approach the Word with the attitude, "With God's help, I'm going to do what it says." That's the key to operating in the authority we have in Christ.
I want to encourage you to make it a priority to spend time with God and study the Word. Go for quality, not quantity; meditate on Scripture so you really get it deep down in your heart. Make a predetermined decision to apply what you learn to your life. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you, and He will show you how to obey the Word in your daily life.
Remember that in Christ, you have everything you need to enjoy your life and have the abundant life He died for you to have. God has equipped you to stand up to whatever comes against you. Through the power and authority you have in Christ, you can remain stable, full of peace and joy, and advance God's kingdom in the earth at all times. That's God's plan for you!

Why London Proves Theology Has Profound Effects - DAVID SHIBLEY CHARISMA NEWS

Why London Proves Theology Has Profound Effects

DAVID SHIBLEY  CHARISMA NEWS
The hideous attack in London earlier this week is a stark reminder that one's theology has profound effects, not only for the adherent but for others. Make no mistake. This evil act was more theologically motivated than politically motivated.
The British people and their leaders are to be commended for calling this barbarism what it is, and for their solidarity and resolve not to cower to such acts of anarchy.
Mere religion that is devoid of the love of God will always ultimately turn brutal. Ideologies that are weak at their core often resort to violence for their propagation. May God grant revelation for people to see the obvious. The terrorist's message ends in death and destruction. The gospel message brings life and peace. "I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live" (Deut. 30:19).
Such terrorists are in collusion with the devil himself. Referring to the evil one, Jesus said, "The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy" (John 10:10a). But in glorious juxtaposition, our Lord Jesus immediately said, "I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10b). Religion minus God's love is dark and deadly. But the gospel bursts with light and life.
In our sin-drenched world, everything we hold dear in this life we can only hold lightly. Life here on earth is tenuous and short. James called it a "vapor" (James 4:14). But followers of Jesus are comforted to know life doesn't end here. Life goes on—better life, eternal life. We are people with an anchor when everything around us seems unhinged. We are anchored in the gospel, and we are anchored upward.

What 'Acts of God' Are—And What They're Not - BECKY DVORAK CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Christians are susceptible to the worldly idea of 'acts of God.'

What 'Acts of God' Are—And What They're Not

Acts of God, what are they? We are accustomed to hearing the local newscaster declare a natural disaster as an act of God. But is it really? Is that an accurate forecast?
When society no longer believes that Satan exists or that hell is an actual place, then they would blame the Creator for these destructive events. When they say that there are many roads that lead to salvation then there is confusion about who God is. And therefore, humankind makes their own gods and anyone's description of the nature and character of their god is confused and accepted as the one, true God.
And sad to say, there are many Christians who do not study the Bible for themselves and do not know who God is or what His acts really are. So they blame the tragedy in life as God's will and turn bitter toward Him.
Is God responsible for tragedies? His Word tells us in John 10:10, "The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." The thief is Satan, and he comes to steal, to kill and to destroy us, and he causes tragedies to destroy us and our loved ones. I use John 10:10 to judge any situation that is before me. If the circumstance brings any form of destruction, then I know Satan is responsible. This verse helps to keep life simple, and truth also sets us free (John 8:32).
Jesus warns us in John 16:33, "I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." He is forewarning us that in this fallen world we will pass through difficulties, but to be of good cheer. He's not making light of the situation, but instead reveals to us the safe place—in Him we will have peace.
In Luke 5:12-16, we read about a man that was full of a plague called leprosy. This plague was deadly, and incurable. And by the powers of faith, love and compassion, He cleansed the man and made Him whole again.
Today, there are many plagues in this world, especially as we are nearing closer to the return of Jesus. The enemy is fighting against humankind, lurking in every corner to bring destruction, but Jesus on the other hand, wills to make us whole by delivering us from plagues. Plagues are part of the curse, and Jesus delivered us from the effects of all forms of the curse, by transforming into the curse for us. Galatians 3:13, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by being made a curse for us—as it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'"
In Luke 8:43-48, we read about a woman that had a problem that no one knew how to cure. She was bleeding for 12 years and was slowly dying. But with Him all things are possible, including cures for the human body when the medical field does not know what to do.
First John 3:8 tells us why Jesus came to this earth, "Whoever practices sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might destroy the works of the devil." By His blood, Jesus dissolved the power of Satan and all of his evil ways over us.
Matthew 8:23-27 recalls the amazing testimony of how Jesus calms the wind and the waves. And He wills to do the same for us and through us, whether the storms are spiritual, emotional or physical. He gives to us His authority over Satan and all of his wicked works in Luke 10:19: "Look, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you."
A few acts of God we can see through these verses are:
  1. He is a life-giver and wills to give life to us in abundance.
  2. He is a peace-giver even during difficult times.
  3. He provides a safe place in Him during tribulations.
  4. He wills to cleanse us from modern-day plagues.
  5. He is able to cure the incurable.
  6. He dissolves the power of Satan over us by the power of His blood.
  7. He shares His authority with us over Satan and all of his wicked works.
Though the World and even some of God's people may falsely accuse God of being responsible for tragedies, sickness, disease, plagues and deadly weather, and call these tribulations "acts of God," we who choose to seek the truth of God's Word can see these accusations are false, and that in reality He is the giver of life, and gives life to us in abundance.

Ways to Avoid Stress During the Holidays - SHERYL GIESBRECHT CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Here's how you can have a peaceful holiday season.

Here's how you can have a peaceful holiday season. (Charisma archives)

5 Ways to Avoid Stress During the Holidays

"Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright."
Each night we heard my son tattling on his sister, "Mom, Sarah is taking too much time in the bathroom." Silent? Hardly. Calm? Nope.
"Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. ..."
For the third time that week, we were late to soccer practice. And my husband, Paul, was the coach. That routine was far from restful.
"O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie. ..."
(Sigh.) So much to do, so little time—removed from tranquil.
Are these holiday lyrics descriptions of your family's Christmas season? During the Christmas rush, our homes are far from silent, calm, restful, still, or peaceful. The holiday momentum builds the day after Thanksgiving; the house is noisy, busy, hustling, bustling, and brimming over with activity and stress to the point of near exhaustion. We have so much to do before Christmas day arrives. There are lists to make, baking to prepare, cards to send, shopping to do, gifts to wrap, and events to plan.
Then there are Christmas church services, musicals, plays, concerts, recitals, office parties, family gatherings, and Christmas light tours. Don't forget traditions to revisit and memories to make.
Have you ever been tempted to run away at Christmastime? It would be nice to take a two-week trip, maybe to a deserted island, and be alone with your family—or maybe just alone! There is a solution! We can intentionally cut the Christmas chaos this year. The five steps to doing so spell the word PEACE.
P: Pray Ahead
Guess what? Christmas comes on the same date at the same time every year: December 25. Start praying for your holiday experience when you see the first hint of Christmas decorations in the stores. In July, I browsed Hobby Lobby for items to decorate my patio, I was shocked to see there were things for sale announcing not only the arrival of Halloween and Thanksgiving, but—oh yes—Christmas. Instead of asking, "Can you believe Christmas decorations are already for sale?" tell yourself, "I am so glad I'm reminded to begin to pray for our family's holiday season to glorify the Lord. Let Jesus be celebrated on His birthday."
Pray for God's peace to rule before, during, and after your holiday. Pray for peace to reside in your heart and mind, so it will infect and redirect the chaos around you.
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6, NIV).
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it to the full" (John 10:10, NIV).
E: Express Your Desire
After you've talked to God about your holiday hope for harmony, pick a night for a family meeting and share your thoughts with your loved ones. Ask each person to write down his or her favorite traditions, activities, and foods associated with the holiday. As you are gather the lists, mix them up and pass them out to a person other than the one who made the list. Give each person a few minutes to read aloud the list he or she received. There will be many repeated items on the lists. Have someone make a list of the most popular items in each category. Keep the most favorite traditions and activities on the to-do list, and let the others go. This will make simplifying Christmas much easier, and everyone will have a say.
Explain to your loved ones that as they simplify, it will help increase their peace and enjoyment during the holidays.
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as member of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful" (Colossians 3:15, NIV).
A: Accept a Few Invitations
Believe it or not, less is more. Take a minute to think about all of the events tied to the holiday season: Christmas parties, cookie decorating in your child's classroom, potlucks at work, secret Santa for the ladies' group, and Christmas plays and concerts. Unintentionally, we get ourselves and our families twisted and tangled in the Christmas tinsel of too much activity. Only one thing is important: focusing on Jesus.
How do you choose what to attend and how to spend your precious time? Share Advent with your family each morning at breakfast. I use a daily Scripture Advent calendar I found on Pinterest to keep focused on Jesus, the reason for the season. When we choose to start the day focusing on Jesus, it is easier to say no when the invitations arrive.

Use the lists you created in the previous step to discover what your loved ones' priorities really are and decide how you will use your time. What are your family's favorite baked goods? Ours are baking pumpkin bread, making Chex mix, baking sugar cookies, and making tamales. When my kids lived at home, we would plan a day or an evening for the actual baking of baked goods and schedule several days for making tamales. We even involved our small groups at church. If your children's classrooms are hosting Christmas gatherings you are helping organize (but they fall on the same day), involve your husband, grandma, or even a favorite aunt so you don't feel like you have to be in two places at once.
Say "no." That's right. It's OK to say, "No, we have other plans." Even if your "other plans" are to stay home with your family and finish frosting sugar cookies for tomorrow's class party. No guilt, no pressure—just honest self-control and wise time management. Your own children are going to learn a lot from you this year.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law" (Galatians 5:22–23, MEV).
C: Create a Budget
Go back to your list of how you and your family plan to celebrate Christmas. Do you have a large immediate family? What about extended family? Figure out how much money you are able to spend on each person and make another list of items so your children can help with the shopping. You don't have to spend a lot of money on special gifts outside your immediate family. Pinterest is a great resource full of ideas for do-it-yourself crafts and creating memory ideas your children can make for relatives and friends. Mark your calendar and plan ahead for a Christmas gift-making craft day.
Have your children given you their Christmas lists? Also have them create a list of items they want to give at Christmas. If we don't teach our children how to share out of abundance, we will actually teach and reinforce selfishness. It helps to explain to them. "When we get new things, we must get rid of some old ones to make room." It's the principle of the most not-believed beatitude in the Bible found in Acts 20:35: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Can the giver be happier than the receiver? Although it goes against all of our human instincts, it is true. This is a very important kingdom principle best taught in life situations.
"John answered, 'Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the sam.'" (Luke 3:11, NIV).
E: Experience Jesus
Invite God's presence to take over your lists, plans, and desires. Ask Jesus to rule how you focus your time.

A wonderful tradition I started with my own children when they were young encouraged them daily during the twenty-four days before Christmas day. We had a couple of Nativity sets, and each morning when the kids were getting ready for school, I would hide the baby Jesus from each set. The challenge was that they could not search for the hidden baby Jesus until they were fully dressed, beds made, breakfast eaten, teeth brushed, backpacks packed, and ready to load into the car to go to school. When they were completely ready to walk out the door, I would say, "OK, let's look for the baby Jesus." As Sarah would search for the small baby Jesus, I would say "hotter" or "colder," depending on where she was situated in relation to where I had hidden it until she discovered the hiding place. Next, Ben would get the chance to do the same thing with the baby Jesus from the other nativity. It was a great Christ-centered way to start each day.
Not only do I hang on to our family memories, but I taught my children how to develop their own special traditions for their family Christmas seasons.
"Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you" (2 Thessalonians 3:16, NIV).
As you see, cutting Christmas chaos can be very simple. It takes planning and intention ... and of course, lots of prayer. I will be praying you will experience a "calm and bright" holiday and you can "sleep in heavenly peace." May God bless your Christmas!
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33, NIV).
