Jeff Jansen: "Past, Present and Future Mantles
and the Great Phoenix of the Holy Spirit"

Jul 20, 2017
Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:
Saints, are you feeling ready for a Glory Revival? So many of you have been watching and praying to see a glorious outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Well...be encouraged as you read through this latest word by Jeff Jansen.
He shares about an encounter he had, as well as the interpretation of what he believes is coming for the Church as he shares:
Adam's rebellion toward God ended in spiritual death, resulting in separation from God. But now what was hidden deep in the spirit of man is being uncovered and rediscovered by a family of sons and daughters of God all around the world. All things have been put in subjection under the feet of Jesus Christ and we are part of His Body – so all things are under our feet.
Take some time to prayerfully consider this word and look with HOPE to the future for what's to come! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Friends, I've been in an extended season of prayer and preparation for what I believe will be the release of the next level of outpouring and Glory Revival in our time. We are coming into a place in human history where all the deposits and cumulative anointings from past generations will be poured out upon a company of Believers who have been prepared through their process to carry it. For those who are hungry there is a fresh proficiency, revelation and power being offered that will mark individuals for a new era in Christendom, affecting generations to come.
Mantles in the Heavenly Locker Room
Several years ago I was taken to a room in the spirit that looked like a football locker room. In this room I saw mantles hanging from shaker pegs, and above the mantles were the names of great men and women of God, both in Scripture and recent days, who helped shape the course of history for breakthrough in their generation.
I saw names like Elijah, Jeremiah, Enoch, Isaiah, Charles Finney, William Branham, Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth-Etter, Katherine Kuhlman and others. The Lord was standing with me in this vision and said, "Jeff, choose one, I'll give it to you."
"It took the death of Jesus Christ, the One True Heavenly King, to restore us to our rightful place as kings and lords of the earth."
As I was pondering which mantle to choose I turned to the Lord and said, "I don't know which one to choose Lord, You choose for me." At a different time when I was recalling this encounter to Bob Jones he said, "Boy, that was the best answer you could have given the Lord. You let Him choose for you."
At that point I found myself with a mortar and pestle in my hand, and the Lord handed me three pills and said, "Grind them." As I was grinding the three pills the Lord said, "These three pills are the past, present and future mantles that are being offered to this generation."
The Lord was offering the cumulation of all past, present and future mantles to be poured out upon a glory generation that will be fully equipped to bring about the greatest revival and harvest the world has ever seen.
The Great Phoenix of the Holy Spirit
Recently I saw a great fire bird in the spirit flying over the city of Atlanta. The fire bird is commonly known as a Phoenix, and Atlanta is known as the "Phoenix of the South". I watched as I saw the whole city set ablaze as the Holy Spirit flew criss-cross over the city, releasing a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit upon those who are gathering and contending for outpouring and revival.
I saw people coming out of wheel chairs, deaf were hearing, and the blind saw, along with many staggering signs and wonders as the fire bird released wave after wave of fresh Holy Ghost power. The Lord was showing me that Atlanta was a prototype of what will happen in many cities globally. Immediately I thought of the Seraphim in Isaiah 6:3 that cried, "...Holy, Holy, Holy...the whole earth is filled with His glory." (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw [in a vision] the Lord sitting on a throne, high and exalted, with the train of His royal robe filling the [most holy part of the] temple. Above Him seraphim (heavenly beings) stood; each one had six wings: with two wings he covered his face, with two wings he covered his feet, and with two wings he flew. And one called out to another, saying, 'Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is filled with His glory.' And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, and the temple was filling with smoke." (Isaiah 6:1-4 AMP)
Seraphim are "burning ones" that fly above the throne and the Lord of glory. One of the functions of the Seraphim is "healing". One of God's names is Raphim(Jehovah Rapha) – which is "the God who heals" – so these burning ones that come out of the presence of the Lord are literally burning, healing angels.
This fiery Phoenix of the Spirit was being released over places of great hunger to release fresh miracles, healing, and signs and wonders to the sons of the Kingdom.
We can begin to see healing revival burn in the most unexpected places in this new season.
Kingdom Family Business
All of these prophetic encounters and promises are wonderful, but are pointing at something much greater. Yes it's for revival, yes it's for the harvest – but God has a much larger view in mind. We can describe the plan of God as simple. It is to extend the rule of His unseen Kingdom through a family of heirs – sons and daughters.
These offspring will act as God, on behalf of God, being His legal representatives and judiciaries on the planet, carrying out His orders and implementing the will of their Father and older heavenly Brother, Jesus Christ. From the dawn of time it has always been about family, about the Father and His children, and it will continue to be so until the end days. It's high time now for us to be about the Father's business. After the resurrection Jesus told Mary who was the first to see Him: "Go to My brothers and say to them, I'm ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God" (John 20:17 NKJV).
"For those who are hungry there is a fresh proficiency, revelation and power being offered that will mark individuals for a new era in Christendom, affecting generations to come."
We are the brothers and sisters of Jesus. His Father is our Father; His God is our God. Jesus is the firstborn among many brothers:
"For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters."(Rom. 8:29 NLT)
Jesus is the prototype for all His brothers and sisters who find their way to the Father to share with Him as heirs of the coming Kingdom. Jesus was not ashamed to call us brothers because we are family with Him. "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12).
He gave those who believe in His name the right, ability, and privilege to become children of God.
A New Place in Human History
We are in a place and time in human history where we are starting to see the children of the Kingdom come into maturity. These seeds are coming of age and are beginning to bring about fruit that resemble the original Seed, Jesus Christ.
Through His children, God is establishing His Kingdom and purposes on the earth. He rules the seen world from the unseen world through our spirit, and is birthing His initiatives through us in the physical world. The fruitful journey of Jesus was well documented as He traveled about cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. He cured every sickness, disease, and infirmity that He encountered, further preparing the soil and sowing the precious seed (see Matt. 4:23; 9:35).
Everywhere He preached the Gospel, Jesus displayed His power with wild miracles, signs, and wonders. God expects His family to do the same thing – acting the same way as Jesus did. Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
"Because you are His sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, 'Abba, Father.' So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir." (Galatians 4:7).
The Lion of Judah is Roaring Again
Excerpt from "Furious Sound of Glory" by Jeff Jansen:
"It took the death of Jesus Christ, the One True Heavenly King, to restore us to our rightful place as kings and lords of the earth. It was for the joy that was set before Him that He endured the Cross, knowing that on the other side of the pain there would be you and I, the redeemed sons and daughters of the Heavenly King. His intention was that the one true Heavenly King (Jesus) would live through the many kings on the earth and establish His reign of authority through a family. So, in this final chapter of human history and on this side of eternity, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah is roaring again.
"The final chapter of these events will be so terrible, so incredible in the earth that even the elements will shudder with great shaking as angels and demons wage war in the heavenly realm. Intercession will focus on the arrival and coming forth of a Kingdom family who is filled with the sound of His roar. They will have power and authority to manifest the glory of God in the earth, breaking the curse over creation and releasing healing in the nations, causing them to flourish once again in the glorious freedom for which they were created. Some would say, 'Jeff this is too far-reaching, merely visions of grandeur!' In reality, these Scriptural truths are yet to be apprehended and walked out by a supernatural Church – the called out ones or the ecclesia. This company of Believers will reach far beyond the normative mind-sets of the day and demonstrate the miraculous in ways not seen in Church history. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price in Blood through Calvary to open the heavens and restore to us the keys to the Kingdom. He will reap the reward of His suffering.
"Even now, the clash between Heaven and earth is mounting. Darkness has become increasingly dark and powerful as we draw near to the end and toward the Great Revival. The Church is under pressure and is being squeezed to produce the sweet wine of Heaven. There are great pressures in the earth and pressure in the heavens. Cosmic violence is beginning to spill out upon the earth. Heaven is not for the faint of heart but is a violent realm causing even the strongest to fear and tremble. This heavenly fury will be poured out in these last days upon an end-time army of God that has been prepared to carry it. And this army will unleash the Spirit of Revival in the nations of the earth. We must get ready for the unleashing of the furious sound of glory–the roar of power and love that transforms the earth." (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

3 Countercultural Ways Jesus Dealt With Satanic Activity

DR. CAROL PETERS-TANKSLEY  CHARISMA NEWS
Jesus's life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension defeated the kingdom of darkness. His victory in the spiritual realm is vital for our lives both now and in eternity. But evil is still present in our world. How Jesus dealt with evil while on Earth is an example of how we can and should deal with evil as His followers.
As difficult as our lives may seem and as much demonic opposition as we may feel we are facing, we will never see Satan and his whole kingdom of darkness arrayed against us to the degree that Jesus personally experienced. In order to save humanity Jesus had to accomplish the destruction of Satan's kingdom. The incarnation was, along with all its other aspects, an invasion into enemy territory.
For Satan and his realm, Jesus presence here was an ultimate declaration: "This means war!"
Yet Jesus seemed completely unruffled by such strong opposition. He never showed fear or anxiety when He encountered demons or those controlled by them, or even Satan himself. In the Gospels, we never see Him on a hunt for demonic activity; His focus on being about His Father's business of saving humanity seemed unshakable.
But whenever Satan or his demons showed up, Jesus responded with calmness and absolute authority over them.
Jesus' Encounters With Evil
Jesus frequently encountered those who were under the control of demons. The Gospels make several summary statements about Jesus healing those who were possessed or tormented. (Examples include Matt. 4:248:16Mark 1:32–34; and Luke 4:41.) We have many stories of individuals Jesus set free:
  • The sick woman whom "Satan bound for eighteen years," healed on the Sabbath (Luke 13:16).
  • The epileptic boy brought by his father for healing when His disciples could not accomplish the task (Mark 9:25–27).
  • The demon-possessed man who had been relegated to living in the tombs (Luke 8:26–40).
Jesus comes across as calm and composed, while the demons respond with desperate cries and fear of torment.
This was so very different from what those around Jesus were used to. Ancient Jewish literature recounts how the people of Jesus' day lived in certain fear of demons. The Dead Sea Scrolls contain a number of prayers and liturgies that were used to try to bring relief from demonic oppression. Josephus describes an elaborate ritual involving roots and incantations and spells by which one Jewish exorcist Eleazar attempted to cast out demons. Both the people in general and those who attempted to get rid of demons approached the whole idea with much fear and anxiety.
And here comes Jesus. He has no incantations, no spells, no rituals, no stylized prayers, no sacred objects, no angst, no fear and He doesn't get all worked up. Sometimes casting out demons became dramatic only because of their resistance to Jesus's words. The summary Gospel passages make most such encounters seem almost commonplace and likely no more dramatic than a simple "Get out!" (Mark 1:34).
No wonder the people were astonished (Mark 1:27).
The Authority in Jesus' Words
Every time He encountered Satan or his demons, Jesus responded with calm, authoritative words. This began at His initial encounter with Satan when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness. Each time Jesus defeated him not with a display of power, but with His words—words from the Old Testament Scriptures (Matt. 4:3-10).
Every time after this that Jesus encountered evil, He responded the same way. He spoke with authority and the demons had to leave. If the demons were causing any sickness or disease, it had to leave along with them. The Roman centurion understood this: "Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. But speak the word only, and my servant will be healed" (Matt. 8:8).
Keep in mind as you contemplate Jesus's words that this was not some magic show. God spoke the worlds into existence with His Word. Jesus is called the eternal Word of God (John 1:1). The power and authority of God Himself was present in those words Jesus spoke. That's why He spoke as He did to Satan in the wilderness. God's power is present in His Word—in Scripture, as Jesus spoke it, and as you and I speak it as well.
You Can Do It Too!
Can you imagine the awed excitement with which Jesus' disciples heard Him say, "You want to do the same things you've seen Me do? You want to preach the good news, heal people, cast our demons and raise the dead? Yes, you can! It's time for you to go out and do it" (See Matt. 10:8).
I can picture them going out two by two, perhaps wondering if it would really work. John says to Peter, "Did you hear Him say what I heard Him say? Do you really think we can do it?" And Peter responds, "You bet! And I'm going to the very first chance I get!"
On their way to the first village Peter, John, and the others would have rehearsed over and over again exactly what they had seen Jesus do and how He had done it. They would have remembered the words He used, the look on His face and even the feeling in His voice. They would have determined to do it exactly as their Master had done. The results were spectacular!
They must have had a predetermined time and meeting place to catch up with Jesus again. When they got there they exclaimed, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your name" (Luke 10:17b). They would have acted as Jesus did, with no fear, no rituals, no anxiety, no long stylized prayers. They just spoke in Jesus' name.
How should you and I deal with evil?
So what does this mean for you and me? What does Jesus as our divine example show us about dealing with evil?
  • Have no fear or anxiety. We have absolutely no need to experience fear or anxiety in our encounters with Satan or his kingdom of darkness. We don't go out looking for "a devil behind every bush"; there will be opportunity enough to exercise the authority Jesus has given us when evil presents itself. We are to be alert and firm, but not anxious. (See 1 Pet. 5:8.)
  • Fill your mind and heart with God's Word. If Jesus needed Scripture to successfully resist temptation and Satan, you will need it too. Spend time reading, studying and memorizing the Bible. If those words are in your heart, the Holy Spirit will bring them back to your mind when you need them as you encounter evil.
  • Remain focused on what God gives you to do. Jesus and His disciples remained focused on ministering to the hearts, minds and bodies of people. The fact that doing so aroused Satan's opposition was almost secondary. Remain focused on what God has given you to do and nothing more nor less. If accomplishing that mission stirs up the devil's opposition, so be it.
Maintaining your focus is important. C.S. Lewis wisely opined that thinking too much or too little about Satan and his kind are equally dangerous traps: "There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors."
It's your focus that's important.
Jesus encountered evil more than any of us ever will. You and I can face the kingdom of darkness with the same calmness and authority He did.

Cindy Jacobs: The Lord Says, 'It's Time for a Renewal of the Holy Spirit'

CINDY JACOBS  CHARISMA NEWS
Inside us is the Holy Spirit, and if we will let Him rise up, He can break any yoke, anything that's coming against us.
We just have to learn to rise up in our spirit, and how do we do that? Well, we do it through quoting the Word, just quoting the Scripture. The Word of God is so powerful. I broke my foot and was really feeling bad, and the Lord just spoke to me, "Get up in the night and start quoting the Scripture on healing." I know to do that, but I needed to do it more. I have begun seeing a real turnaround since I've done that.
Somehow, we forget to fight. In the middle of everything that's going on, we get under it, but we forget to fight. We forget that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us. That we have the authority to overcome anything, but we have to take the authority. We have to take it, we have to rise up and use the weapons that are not carnal, but mighty.
I just feel like God wants to remind us this day and the Lord says to you, "Look around you and see the things that you used to do, the things you used to know to do, but you do not do anymore. Look around you and recall the way you used to quote the Scripture, the way perhaps you used to worship."
The Lord says, "It's time for a renewal of the Holy Spirit. It's time for you to come into a renewing where you take the things you know to do and pick up the weapons that have been given to you by the Holy Spirit."
As I prophesied into this, the reason I started prophesying is this: I saw a table, we're sitting at this big conference table in our office, but I saw all kinds of tools, weapons of warfare on the table, but we weren't using them. We were crying out because we were being so attacked, and we were so upset that we were being so attacked, but we had weapons right there on the table.
Pick up your weapons, pick up your weapons and do what you know to do. If you will do this, I guarantee you will win.

What Scripture Says About the Importance of Hanukkah

SAM NADLER  CHARISMA NEWS
Standing With Israel
Hanukkah. Though many believers may not take much notice when they see this Jewish holiday on the calendar, we find in the book of John that Yeshua did not look at it this way. In fact, He celebrated it.
"The Feast of the Dedication [Hanukkah] was at Jerusalem, and it was winter. Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's Porch. Then the Jews surrounded Him, saying, "How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly'" (John 10:22-24).
Here, John makes it very clear that this event took place during the Feast of Hanukkah. Hanukkah comes from the Hebrew word hanakh, which means "to dedicate," and so in English it is called the "Feast of Dedication," commemorating the time when the Maccabees led Israel in the purification and rededication of the Temple after its desecration by the Syrians in 168 BCE.
But why did John see it as so important to mention Hanukkah in this passage? Remember what Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16: "All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable ..." When we understand the context of John 10, we better understand this passage, for when the people asked Yeshua, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly (v. 24b), they were really wondering, "Where is the Messiah, the greater Maccabee? The people were expecting Messiah to be a political warrior to throw out the Romans, just as the Maccabees had thrown out the Syrians. They did not realize Messiah had come for a much greater purpose: to demonstrate God's faithfulness as He fulfilled God's promise given to Abraham and his descendants (Gen. 12:3).
 The Savior from God
"So, rather than saying, "Yes, I am He," Yeshua answered: "I told you, and you did not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you" (John 10:25b-26).
With a mere yes, Yeshua would have been accommodating Himself to the people's narrow expectation heightened at the time—only part of the full biblical picture to come later. But to say no would have been a lie. So Yeshua wisely responded, "I've already told you." In both word and deed, He had already answered their question (John 8:58; 10:25).
God provides the eternal salvation we need, not merely the temporary solutions we desire. Is your faith in God's Word, or in your own expectations and experience? Like Job, true faith sees beyond the immediate and trusts God's wisdom and care: "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him." (Job 13:15a).
With the Maccabees, short-term faith was required. They pointed to a temple desecrated by an oppressive Syrian regime and said, "Let us defeat them and rededicate the temple." However, Yeshua points directly at each of us and says we are the desecrated temple that need to be cleansed and rededicated in order to walk with God. The problem, O Israel, is not outside of you but within you. Our need is not for a quick fix of short-term problems, but an eternal relationship with God.
The Shepherd to God
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life. They shall never perish, nor shall anyone snatch them from My hand" (John 10:27-28)
His sheep have faith in Him: "My sheep hear My voice." His sheep are His followers: "They follow Me." There is mutual recognition and a reciprocal action. The shepherd knows and directs His sheep, and the sheep respond in obedience. Messiah guarantees eternal life to His followers. People do not always understand what eternal life is. Some think their eternal rest will be in their coffin. Passing a cemetery one day, an Irishman paused at a startling inscription on one tombstone. He read the words: "I still live." Puzzled, the Irishman scratched his head for a moment, then exclaimed: "Goodness, if I were dead, I'd be honest enough to admit it!"
Eternal life comes from God by faith in Yeshua, who alone can relate us rightly to the eternal God. Furthermore, eternal life is a new kind of existence for believers. It is God's own life. Through Yeshua, the fullness of God dwells within us—and His life will never end. God is immortal; those who believe in Yeshua will live on with Him. Messiah then teaches we must have faith in Him as the Son of God.
The Son of God
"My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them from My Father's hand. My Father and I are one" (John 10:29-30).
Yeshua's assertion that He is one with the Father is meant to give assurance to His followers: "No one will snatch them from My hand" any more than from the "Father's hand." Defeat is measuring your life by the size of your problem; victory is measuring life's challenges by the size of your God. God has provided salvation in Messiah, His eternal Son. By dying for sins, He conquered death.
Despite temporary trials, there is ultimate victory in Messiah. Yes, Messiah demands a greater loyalty than the Maccabees because He provides greater security. Trust in Him as the Savior, Shepherd and Son. Yeshua is the Victor, and following Him brings the victory.
