Power of God Falls on Church That 'Singlehandedly Kicked George Soros Out of Hungary' - STEPHEN STRANG CHARISMA NEWS

Power of God Falls on Church That 'Singlehandedly Kicked George Soros Out of Hungary'

STEPHEN STRANG CHARISMA NEWS
Some say Europe is post-Christian. But although there's a great deal of spiritual darkness in that continent, pockets of revival are also springing up. In a recent interview with evangelist and pastor Rodney Howard-Browne, he told me how God is moving across many European nations through his revival tour, Europe Ablaze. (Click here to listen to the interview or scroll to the bottom of this article.)
One area where the Spirit of God is stirring up revival is Budapest, Hungary. Faith Church in Budapest, where Howard-Browne recently ministered, has experienced revival nonstop for 20 years. This Pentecostal church single-handedly kicked George Soros out of Hungary, Howard-Browne says.
"This is what is so significant about this church, Faith Church, in Budapest, Hungary," he says. "That church has a university, they have a seminary, they have a weekly newspaper that covers the whole nation, and they have a 24-hour television news network—the third-largest news network of its kind in the country. That church single-handedly kicked George Soros out of Hungary. So [Faith Church Pastor Nemeth Sandor] said to me, 'Look, I need your help, because Soros is trying to work to shut my money down and is attacking tithing and everything.'"
Howard-Browne ministered to Faith Church during his tour in Europe this past November. But Faith Church wasn't even on his itinerary. He had no idea he was going to Budapest until God spoke to the evangelist while he was ministering in Bratislava, Slovakia.

"I heard the audible voice of the Lord," he says. "And the Lord said, 'Go and strengthen Sandor.' I did not know what he was going through at the time. I had visited that church 20 years before. So when I heard the audible voice alone, I began to weep uncontrollably."
Howard-Browne was so overwhelmed by the power of God in that moment, that he wasn't sure he would be able to speak that night at the revival service. But 50 churches got together that night, and the Holy Spirit moved mightily. Howard-Browne says that when the power of God hit the 1,300 people in that arena, it looked like "tornadoes picking up whole groups of people."
Thankfully, Pastor Sandor's church was only a 2-hour drive from Bratislava. Howard-Browne had visited that church in 1998, and he recalls the weighty glory of God falling during his time of ministry there. When he returned to the church, he felt as though nothing had changed.
"It was like we finished on a Friday night, and I was there Saturday night of the exact same week except 20 years had expired," he says. "It was the most surreal moment. ... They're all weeping. The fire of God hit that place. Over 3,000 people came forward to the altar, people committed to win souls. ... So here's a 70,000-member church in Budapest that is shaking the nation, and I was so encouraged."
But Howard-Browne couldn't figure out how this church managed to keep the Spirit's fire going for 20 years. The church only has one service a week. Each Saturday night from 5 to 11 p.m., its 10,000-seat sanctuary is packed with believers. Howard-Browne asked Pastor Sandor what his secret was.
"[Sandor] said, 'Oh, it's very easy,'" Howard-Browne says. "He said, 'I took all the kids everywhere. And I spoke to them destiny and I put the fire of the Holy Ghost on them. And I took all the youth, and I did the exact same thing.' And then I suddenly realized why his church is so in revival after all these years."
Howard-Browne witnessed the power of Sandor's discipleship method. The two drivers who helped the evangelist get to and from the meetings were 24 and 26 years old. Both of them remember Howard-Browne's last revival meeting in their church, even though they were only 4 and 6 respectively.
"So I began to see the power and the impact when the Holy Ghost comes with power, and how He brands people's hearts for eternity, for souls and for shaping the nation," Howard-Browne tells me.
Budapest was only one stop in Howard-Browne's incredible revival tour in Europe this past year. I was so fascinated by what he shared with me in this interview that I invited him back to the show to share more, so stay tuned for tomorrow's Strang Report to learn more supernatural ways God is moving in Europe.
Be sure to listen to my entire conversation with Howard-Browne below and share this encouraging story of revival with your friends on social media!

John Kilpatrick: Jezebel Is Stepping Out of Shadows to Oppose Revival, Trump's Re-Election - STEPHEN STRANG CHARISMA NEWS

Rev. John Kilpatrick (YouTube/Evangel Temple)

John Kilpatrick: Jezebel Is Stepping Out of Shadows to Oppose Revival, Trump's Re-Election

STEPHEN STRANG  CHARISMA NEWS
Rev. John Kilpatrick remembers the intense move of God that overtook his Brownsville Assembly of God church in Pensacola, Florida, in the 1990s. More than 4 million people encountered God at that revival. But Kilpatrick says that if we want to see revival turn this nation around, we need the Spirit to move in more than just the church. We need an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our marketplace, our media and our politics. Yet the Jezebel spirit is doing all it can to stop that from happening.
If you've been reading my Strang Reports or my latest book, Trump Aftershock, you know that last year, Kilpatrick prophesied Jezebel was rising up to oppose President Donald Trump. He gave that prophetic word while preaching one Sunday at his current church, Church of His Presence, and a video of that sermon went viral. I recently interviewed Kilpatrick for my new "In Depth With Stephen Strang" podcast. You can listen to it here or at the end of this article.
During our interview, he shared what he sees God trying to do in our nation—and what the enemy is doing to try to stop it.
"The Spirit of God is going to begin to invade this nation," he says. "And it's time for we in the ministry to begin preaching the word 'repentance.' I have never seen people find it so hard to repent as they do today. And many in the ministry won't even give altar calls anymore and allow the people to come forward and repent of their sins and lead them in the sinner's prayer. It's like Satan has done everything he possibly can to keep a born-again experience away from this generation. It's going to take a moving of the Holy Spirit, and it's going to take revival ... and I believe we're getting close to it."

Although Kilpatrick says he's not a "Trump man," he prays for him regularly and believes a coming revival depends on him being re-elected.
"Where else would you go in the nation right now ... where a man would have the ability to stand up against this kind of onslaught?" Kilpatrick says. "He would take this kind of stand for the unborn, he would take this kind of stand for Israel, and he would take this kind of stand at the church. Basically, this man God has given us right now is standing in the gap by himself in many cases, holding back the tide that would try to destroy this nation."
With the left growing more liberal and sin becoming more rampant, Kilpatrick believes we're in a prime time for a fresh outpouring.
"This is spiritual warfare for the soul of this nation," he says. "When you go back and study revivals, national awakenings, [these are] the very same kind of conditions that were prevalent right before revivals or these national awakenings."
And he would know. The famous Brownsville revival I mentioned earlier happened in Kilpatrick's church. He still remembers the incredible way God stirred it up—and it all started with prayer.
"Prayer is what sparked it," he says. "God never puts revival on sale. It'll cost this generation, but it cost previous generations. ... The Lord spoke to me, and He said, 'If you'll make this a house of prayer, I'll pour out My Spirit here.'"
When Kilpatrick received that word, he began holding a prayer meeting every Sunday night. The Lord told him to set up 12 prayer banners that represented 12 categories to pray for. People would go from banner to banner, praying for each topic and getting so excited about prayer that meetings soon began lasting around two hours or longer.
Kilpatrick and his church prayed faithfully like this for 2 ½ years before revival broke out. For about the first year of that time, Kilpatrick would hear a voice accusing him each week, telling him to stop these prayer meetings, or he would lose his followers.
"As we were praying, I heard the Holy Spirit speak," he tells me. "And He said, 'You have held tight. Now I'm about to send forth My Spirit in this place in a mighty way.'"
As soon as Kilpatrick heard that prophetic word, the accusing voice went silent, and he never heard it again. Revival swept through that church a year and a half later in 1995.
In fact, the revival came when Kilpatrick wasn't quite expecting it. He was still grieving the loss of his mother, who had passed away a week before Mother's Day of that year.
"I was in grief," he tells me. "And a prophet called me on the telephone, and he said, 'Brother Kilpatrick, the Lord has heard your cry for revival. He's going to send revival to you. First, when your mother is gone, when your mother is passed, then the Lord said He'll send revival.' And sure enough, it worked out just that way."
A little over a month later, on Father's Day, Steve Hill preached as a guest at Kilpatrick's church. But something was different about Hill this time, Kilpatrick says. Hill had just returned from experiencing the outpouring of the Spirit at Holy Trinity Brompton in London, England.
"After not seeing him for quite some time, there was a difference on stage," Kilpatrick recalls. "He looked different out of his eyes. He walked different. His voice sounded different. There was an authority on him, a mantle that had come onstage. And so when I saw him, I said to myself, Oh, wow, this is not the same Steve Hill I knew."
Hill preached two things during that sermon: Jesus loves you, and He has a plan for your life. As simple as the message was, around 1,000 people ran forward for prayer when he was done preaching.
"The rest is history," Kilpatrick says. "The power of God came down in such an awesome way that if I live to be 300 years old, I'll never forget that day. It was an awesome downdraft of the power and the glory of God."
That revival continued almost every night for about five years. People traveled from all over the U.S.—and even the world—to experience what the Spirit was doing in Pensacola. Could God bring another Brownsville revival to America? Of course. But Kilpatrick says we need a revival that goes beyond one city and sweeps the entire nation. To see that happen, though, God's people must position themselves to receive it.
"It's time to quit discussing things about the president," Kilpatrick says. "It's time to quit discussing what's going on in Washington. ... And it's time to start praying. The people of God need to pray out loud right now. Like I've never seen prayer in my lifetime."

Can This Film Overturn Supreme Court Ruling That's Killed 54 Million Babies? - STEPHEN STRANG CHARISMA NEWS

(Facebook/Roe v. Wade Movie)
Can This Film Overturn Supreme Court Ruling That's Killed 54 Million Babies?
STEPHEN STRANG  CHARISMA NEWS  Jan. 17, 2019
Since the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, over 54 million babies have been aborted in the U.S. The country remains divided over the issue of abortion, making Roe v. Wade arguably the most controversial Supreme Court decision in history. Plenty of movies and documentaries have been made about the ruling, but a new movie coming out called Roe v. Wade may be the most pro-life depiction of the story yet. And even better, this film promises to tell the truth about what really happened.
I recently had the privilege of speaking with the film's producer, Nick Loeb, who tells me about the wake-up call he received when he discovered that the real story behind the abortion ruling was actually extremely pro-life. (David Benham recently shared with Charisma News the radical testimony of the woman behind the Roe v. Wade case.)
When someone asked Nick if he wanted to make a film about that Supreme Court decision, he thought, Why would I want to make a pro-choice film when I'm pro-life? But after reading 40 books about the ruling's history and studying stacks of court documents, Nick realized he had to make a movie about it. The film is still in post-production, and a potential screening is scheduled for the National Religious Broadcasters convention this summer. But a teaser trailer just came out, which you can watch here.
"We went out to make a Hollywood movie, not a small independent, preachy, pro-life film," Nick tells me. "It is full of action, suspense ... shootings. There are car chases, there's police, there's conspiracy. Compared to a lot of faith-based films out there today, we've got an incredible cast that all of us grew up with."
Get Spirit-filled content delivered right to your inbox! Click here to subscribe to our newsletter.
Nick is right. The film stars talented actors like Jon Voight, Robert Davi, Stacey Dash, Jamie Kennedy, Joey Lawrence, Corbin Bernsen, Steve Guttenberg and more.
Nick says the film is so powerful that even the editor, who is pro-choice, is reconsidering abortion. But as you can imagine, the film has already received some severe pushback. As Charisma News recently reported, difficulties included cast and crew walking off-set during production, Facebook prohibiting the production company from sharing information about the film and even a synagogue locking them out.
"It's a visceral topic," Nick says. "The country is divided on the issue. I think if we were making a pro-choice movie, we would get the same reaction from the pro-life side. The shoot was a little tumultuous. But we've also reaped the rewards of working for the right side. We had a lot of people who worked for free, we had people who gave money and donated, people who offered their homes for locations. We had an outpouring of support from people who believed in what we were doing."
Nick is clear about the film's goal—he wants it to stir people up to overturn the abortion ruling.
"So in 1989, there was a Supreme Court case, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, and this was going up to the Supreme Court," Nick says. "And as soon as this was in the works, Hollywood quickly went into action to make a pro-choice Roe v. Wade movie, with the goal of influencing the media influence the people to essentially influence the courts. And that was what they did. I mean, this is what they've been doing for years. And as you see in our movie, even for Roe, this is what a lot of the characters did during the movement. They utilized the media to achieve their goal in the courts. And so this is our time to use the media to achieve our goal in the courts. And at the end of the day—when people see the movie and realize how the case was decided, how it was affected and what really happened—people will be outraged and hoping to overturn Roe v. Wade."
I've seen the trailer, I've read the articles, and I know some of the people involved. So I'm very hopeful that this will be a big movie. But one thing is certain—it won't be big because of the media. The makers of the Roe v. Wade movie have encountered all kinds of hindrances in trying to advertise, and as Nick pointed out, the bias is disheartening.
But I encourage you to join with other pro-life believers and start a groundswell. Let's get involved. Let's make up our minds that we're not only going to see the film, but we're also going to take people to see it. I pray that, together, we will make this movie a success, because I believe this film has the potential to make a huge impact on our culture.
Be sure to listen to my entire conversation with Nick by clicking on the podcast below, and support this venture by sharing my article as well as liking and following the film's Facebook page. Together, we can make a difference.

How Spirit-Filled Christians Must Respond to America's Disturbing Ethical Trend - STEPHEN STRANG CHARISMA NEWS

How Spirit-Filled Christians Must Respond to America's Disturbing Ethical Trend

STEPHEN STRANG  CHARISMA NEWS
Something scary is happening to America's ethics. Moral issues are becoming less about right versus wrong and more about "my truth and your truth." Just look at the way our culture—media, politics, even schools—is blurring the lines on what consists of murder, sexual immorality or lying. This disturbing trend is the reason prominent theologian Wayne Grudem wrote his latest book, Christian Ethics: An Introduction to Biblical Moral Reasoning.
Wayne joined me last week in the podcast studio, where I interviewed him on my "Strang Report" podcast about his new book. We discussed what inspired him to write the book, what ethical issues he addresses and why he believes our culture needs this lesson now more than ever. (Click on the podcast at the end of this article to hear our enlightening conversation.)
Wayne's 1,296-page tome addresses the issues he has been teaching as a university ethics professor for 41 years. In fact, a lot of the book's chapters grew out his lectures on ethical topics. As I flipped through several of the chapters, I quickly realized they were chock-full of wisdom.
"There are moral standards in the Bible that apply to all people for all time because they come from our Creator," Wayne says. "But Christians can't assume that they know those because they haven't grown up in a culture where everyone assumes that it's wrong to tell a lie, it's wrong to take God's name in vain, it's wrong to sleep together outside of marriage. ... I wrote the book to try to summarize what the whole Bible teaches on all these ethical questions."

When I saw the sheer size of Christian Ethics, I knew it would be a popular staple in many seminaries and Christian universities. But I questioned how Wayne would get laypeople and pastors to buy—let alone read—the book. Yet he reminded me that his Systematic Theology, which is as long as his new book, still sells to Christians all over the world and in about 15 languages. He's had people tell him that book has greatly affected their walks with the Lord and their own personal lives.
"I'm hoping that people will take away from the book a deeper confidence of what it means to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. That's Colossians 1:9-10, and that's my goal for the book."
I think Christian Ethics will build you up in your faith—and perhaps be a great Christmas present for your pastor! The book is available at bookstores and online at Amazon.
Although some reviewers have complained about Wayne's conservative bent regarding government and politics in the book, he says he hopes people can lay their criticisms aside and consider where in Scripture he is getting his beliefs.
But those same reviewers would probably also complain about my latest book, Trump Aftershock, where I detail how God is using Donald Trump to turn our nation in the right direction. From lessening federal funding for abortion to moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem to forcing Turkey to free wrongly imprisoned Pastor Andrew Brunson, Trump is shaking the world with his agenda. To buy a copy of my book and download a free chapter, visit trumpaftershock.com!
I hope you enjoyed reading about Wayne's powerful new book on Christian ethics. I encourage you to share this article on your social media and speak up for biblical truth.

Pat Robertson, Stephen Strang Unpack Why Trump Followers Are So Excited Right Now - Steve Strang

Strang Report, with Steve Strang
Tuesday, November 6, 2018

Pat Robertson, Stephen Strang Unpack Why Trump Followers Are So Excited Right Now

Pat Robertson interviewing me on "The 700 Club" about "Trump Aftershock" (YouTube/CBN News)
I'm proud to announce that my latest book, Trump Aftershock, releases today. In it, I detail Trump's accomplishments since being elected and, as a result, what God is doing in our nation in this hour. You can find the book at trumpaftershock.com or anywhere books are sold.

CBN founder Pat Robertson interviewed me on The 700 Club on Monday, Nov. 5, about Trump Aftershock. One thing Robertson pointed out was that I don't simply share my opinion in this book; I report the facts and back it up with pages of research. Trump Aftershockcombines my journalistic training and my Christian worldview to give readers what I hope is an honest, God-centered look at all Trump has done since he was elected president.

Interestingly enough, one of the things I admire most about Trump is what most people hate: He's a disrupter. Since becoming president, he has exposed and uprooted much of the so-called deep state. After all, he promised during his campaign to drain the swamp, and I think he's doing just that. For example, if Hillary Clinton had won the presidency, we would never have found out about Lisa Page and Peter Strzok's secret text messages. Clinton's administration would have covered the situation up, and Page and Strzok probably would have been promoted. Trump is cleaning house as no one else has because he doesn't care if people don't like him. Most other politicians, on the other hand, just want to keep everyone happy.

As I point out to Robertson, though, Trump's lack of concern for others' opinions of him has provoked a firestorm of opposition. This opposition includes radical leftist billionaires such as George Soros, Warren Buffett and Tom Steyer. These wealthy people have put millions of dollars toward hindering Trump's agenda. And that money isn't just going to campaigns; they're setting up organizations that give money to antifa and other leftist groups. There's even evidence that the liberal protests we're seeing on the news are funded by the left—even to the point of paying protesters!

But even billionaire radicals can't stop the enthusiasm that follows Trump. Just a few weeks ago, he and Cruz joined forces at a rally, which sold out because so many people wanted to come. And this doesn't just happen in a handful of places; it's everywhere Trump goes. He packed out a stadium of about 6,000 in a small Nevada town, whereas Joe Biden was rallying across the state and got fewer than 200 people.

This enthusiasm, of course, isn't widely reported, but it reveals a level of excitement welling up in the American people. I can't help but think this is because ... read more

The Real Reason Jerry Falwell Supported Trump for President—And Why He Doesn't Regret It - STEPHEN STRANG CHARISMA NEWS

Liberty University President Jerry Falwell (Joel Coleman)
STEPHEN STRANG  CHARISMA NEWS
This July, Charisma magazine published a cover story about Jerry Falwell, president of Liberty University. Charisma took an in-depth look at how the university is raising up the next generation and training America's young people to be champions for Christ.
If you don't already subscribe to Charismaclick here to get that issue.
Falwell was one of the first evangelical leaders to support Donald Trump for president—and he received flak for it from both liberals and conservatives. In the foreword he wrote for my new book, Trump Aftershock, Falwell explains why he made the choice to support Trump so early on and why he thinks Trump Aftershock is an important book in our day.
I decided to share with you what he wrote, as I believe it will encourage and enlighten those who read it. The following is an excerpt from the foreword of Trump Aftershock:
Get Spirit-filled content delivered right to your inbox! Click here to subscribe to our newsletter.
For over two years now people have been asking me why I supported Donald Trump as a candidate for president of the United States and why I continue to support him now in his role as the chief executive of our great nation. After all, I was one of the only people from the evangelical camp who endorsed Mr. Trump even before the Iowa caucuses. I determined early on that what ailed the United States would require more than a PR and policy bandage. And if Trump were to get elected, he would need more than bandwagon support.
But to answer the question about my support, much of my motivation came from my background in business. My father came from a family of businesspeople who were not Christians, including my grandfather. But a series of personal tragedies resulted in his early death at the age of 55. My dad was only 15 at the time, and he became a Christian because of those sorrowful events. I think he might have gone into the family business if those things hadn't happened. The point is that though the world knows the Falwell name chiefly in the context of my famous clergyman father, most Falwells have been successful entrepreneurs—businessmen and businesswomen.
Even in the context of a nonprofit organization such as Liberty University, I have seen firsthand what applying business principles can do to save an organization. In the late 1980s and 1990s, when donations dried up, we had to create a business model that would keep Liberty alive. In the end not only did we eliminate the debt; we also prospered enough that we've now fulfilled many of the original visions my father had for this university. But Liberty's success didn't come through hazy or lazy leadership.
So that's why I supported Donald Trump early, because the United States is drowning in $21 trillion of debt. Trump is a businessman. We haven't had many businessmen who have become president. Instead, we get career politicians who are short on transformative thinking and long on political career preservation. Even though Trump hadn't even decided what all his political views were at that time, I knew that a pragmatic businessman with common sense would come down on the right side of issues. Trump wanted to do what was best for the country. And if you start with that desire—to do what's best for the country and for the common man—then you have no choice but to be a conservative. It's that simple.
I'm proud I supported Donald Trump. And since he's entered the White House, I've stayed in close touch with him, talking to him about once a month. It has become a close friendship. I'm so pleased with how he's kept his promises. He's appointed justices to the lower courts and the Supreme Court who I believe will uphold the Constitution. On matters related to religious liberty, the president has been a godsend. And his deregulation strategies have brought about prosperity for businesses and the American worker. He's done all the things he said he was going to do—even with all the attempts to thwart his administration by fake Republicans in the Senate and all the folks on the left who will stop at nothing to overthrow a duly elected president.
You see, we needed somebody with resolve and backbone. Republicans and Democrats—the parties had become so much alike that you really couldn't tell the difference. Many of them were—and still are—so scared of their shadow and criticism from the press that they waffle on every issue. They put their finger up and see which way the wind is blowing.
But Trump just marches ahead. He doesn't care how much criticism comes his way. And the people don't care either. The people don't care what the press say anymore because they've lost all credibility. That's what Americans have longed to see in their president—somebody who will stand up for the country, stand up for what's right and not back down in the face of adversity.
Like Stephen Strang does in this book, I compare Trump to Winston Churchill during World War II. Everything looked lost in the face of the onslaught of Hitler's military might. Churchill had to resolve to move ahead anyhow and to never quit. That's what I see in Donald Trump, and I think that's why people support him in spite of all the negatives that get thrown at him.
In this new book by my friend Stephen Strang, you will come to a great understanding of all that has been happening since election night. Strang shows how President Trump has exceeded the expectations of his supporters. And Strang reveals how the left, instead of acknowledging the genuine successes of the Trump administration, are growing in their animus toward the president. Refusing to acknowledge the roaring economy and a renewed sense of optimism and national pride, some on the left (and some on the right) are succumbing to "Trump Derangement Syndrome." And so the rift between the left and the right has grown deep, and our national politics are more polarized than ever.
But Strang's book strikes a chord of hopefulness because he believes (as do I) that these days are some of the most extraordinary times in the life of our nation. You'll enjoy Trump Aftershock. But even more, it will prompt you to pray and work in your own community to "make America great again."
—Jerry Falwell Jr.
President, Liberty University
Lynchburg, Virginia

George Soros May Not Be the Antichrist, but the Antichrist Spirit Is Certainly at Work

STEPHEN STRANG  CHARISMA NEWS
Is George Soros the Antichrist? Some people seem to think so.
Rudy Giuliani recently retweeted a post that read, "Follow the money. I think Soros is the anti-Christ! He must go! Freeze his assets & I bet the protests will stop."
I was surprised to see how much media attention this tweet received. While I'm sure many, including Giuliani, didn't take this Antichrist accusation seriously, others see a strong spiritual angle to Soros' actions.
I personally don't think Soros is the Antichrist. But it's obvious he operates in the spirit of the Antichrist that the apostle John warned us about in 1 John 4:3—"And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and is already in the world."

The fact is that Soros funds many of the attacks on conservative, biblical values. The media tries to make it seem as though the many liberal protests we're seeing nowadays are spontaneous. But as I document in my book Trump Aftershock, there's strong reason to believe that many of these protesters are paid to come and stir up trouble.
Rich socialists like Soros know that if they can manage to disrupt society with chaos, good and decent people will cave into liberal demands and give way to the leftist agenda.
Even though these things have been happening for quite some time, I believe we are in a position in America that we've never been in before. The attacks against Christian values seem to have never been stronger than they are today. But I also believe the pendulum is about to swing the other way—and part of that started with Donald Trump's election.
I document this phenomenon in Trump Aftershock, which comes out Nov. 6. Since Trump was elected in 2016, he's accomplished several exciting things, including boosting the economy, strengthening international diplomacy, moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and even forcing Turkey to free wrongfully imprisoned pastor Andrew Brunson.
I also document the intense attacks—fueled by billionaire radicals—coming from the left since Trump has been in office. Democrats were even so bold as to say they would oppose anyone Trump nominated to replace former Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy.
But the war against Christian values isn't limited to those on the far left, such as FPL and Faith in Action. On the CBS Sunday-morning program Face the NationWashington Postcolumnist Michael Gerson, a liberal evangelical, was asked to comment on the evangelical leaders who supported the president during the Stormy Daniels scandal. The former speechwriter for President George W. Bush replied, "Well, they are acting like, you know, slimy political operatives, not moral leaders. They are essentially saying, in order to get benefits for themselves, in a certain way—they talk about religious liberty and other issues—but to get benefits for themselves, they are willing to wink at Stormy Daniels and wink at misogyny and wink at nativism."
My friend Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, who was accused of moral duplicity by Gerson in an article for The Atlantic, responded by saying his decision to support Donald Trump was due to the dramatic contrast between the two candidates and the good that Trump's conservative agenda would do. "Religious freedom is being restored," he said, "pro-life policies being advanced— the infrastructure of leftist government being dismantled. That's why Gerson and the left are so enraged." Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of Dallas' First Baptist Church and an adviser to the president, agreed: "We are supporting this president because of his policies."
Meanwhile, Dr. Richard Land, president of Southern Evangelical Seminary, said evangelicals "feel culturally and politically besieged" and "feel like their government has been weaponized against them." During a radio interview, Land said, "In a fallen sinful world, sometimes we are forced to make a choice between the lesser evil and the greater evil. And if we do not choose to help the lesser evil triumph over the greater evil, we become morally responsible for the greater evil prevailing."
He added, "However immoral you may think Donald Trump is, Mrs. Clinton is more immoral." He added that liberal evangelicals such as Mike Gerson have missed the point.
I could not agree more, and I've described elsewhere that I've made that point not only in God and Donald Trump but in various media interviews and in Trump Aftershock as well.
To learn more about how deeply socialist billionaires affect the spiritual war raging in our nation, read Trump Aftershock. You can order your own copy at trumpaftershock.com.
