The Stock Markets of the 10 Largest Global Economies Are All Crashing - Michael Snyder (The Economic Collapse Blog)

The Stock Markets of the 10 Largest Global Economies Are All Crashing

You would think that the simultaneous crashing of all of the largest stock markets around the world would be very big news. But so far, mainstream media in the United States are treating it like it isn't really a big deal.
Over the last 60 days, we have witnessed the most significant global stock market decline since fall 2008, and yet most people still seem to think that this is just a temporary "bump in the road" and that the bull market will soon resume. Hopefully they are right.
When the Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted 777 points on Sept. 29, 2008, everyone freaked out, and rightly so. But a stock market crash doesn't have to be limited to a single day. Since the peak of the market earlier this year, the Dow is down almost three times as much as that 777-point crash back in 2008.
Over the last 60 days, we have seen the eighth-largest and 10th-largest single-day stock market crash in U.S. history on a point basis. You would think that this would be enough to wake people up, but most Americans still don't seem very alarmed. And of course what has happened to U.S. stocks so far is quite mild compared to what has been going on in the rest of the world.
Right now, stock market wealth is being wiped out all over the planet, and none of the largest global economies have been exempt from this. The following is a summary of what we have seen in recent days:
1. The United States—The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down more than 2,000 points since the peak of the market. Last month we saw stocks decline by more than 500 points on consecutive trading days for the first time ever, and there has not been this much turmoil in U.S. markets since fall 2008.
2. China—The Shanghai Composite Index has plummeted nearly 40 percent since hitting a peak earlier this year. The Chinese economy is steadily slowing down, and we just learned that China's manufacturing index has hit a 78-month low.
3. Japan—The Nikkei has experienced extremely violent moves recently, and it is now down more than 3000 points from the peak that was hit earlier in 2015. The Japanese economy and the Japanese financial system are both basket cases at this point, and it isn't going to take much to push Japan into a full-blown financial collapse.
4. Germany—Almost one-fourth of the value of German stocks has already been wiped out, and this crash threatens to get much worse. The Volkswagen emissions scandal is making headlines all over the globe, and don't forget to watch for massive trouble at Germany's biggest bank.
5. The United Kingdom—British stocks are down about 16 percent from the peak of the market, and the U.K. economy is definitely on shaky ground.
6. France—French stocks have declined nearly 18 percent, and it has become exceedingly apparent that France is on the exact same path that Greece has already gone down.
7. Brazil—Brazil is the epicenter of the South American financial crisis of 2015. Stocks in Brazil have plunged more than 12,000 points since the peak, and the nation has already officially entered a new recession.
8. Italy—Watch Italy. Italian stocks are already down 15 percent. Look for the Italian economy to make very big headlines in the months ahead.
9. India—Stocks in India have now dropped close to 4,000 points, and analysts are deeply concerned about this major exporting nation as global trade continues to contract.
10. Russia—Even though the price of oil has crashed, Russia is actually doing better than almost everyone else on this list. Russian stocks have fallen by about 10 percent so far, and if the price of oil stays this low, the Russian financial system will continue to suffer.
What we are witnessing now is the continuation of a cycle of financial downturns that has happened every seven years. The following is a summary of how this cycle has played out over the past 50 years:
  • It started in 1966 with a 20 percent stock market crash.
  • Seven years later, the market lost another 45 percent (1973-74).
  • Seven years later was the beginning of the "hard recession" (1980).
  • Seven years later was the Black Monday crash of 1987.
  • Seven years later was the bond market crash of 1994.
  • Seven years later was 9/11 and the 2001 tech bubble collapse.
  • Seven years later was the 2008 global financial collapse.
  • 2015: What's next?

A lot of people were expecting something "big" to happen on Sept. 14, and were disappointed when nothing happened.
But the truth is that it has never been about looking at any one particular day. Over the past 60 days, we have seen extraordinary things happen all over the planet, and yet some people are not even paying attention because their preconceived notions of how events should play out did not come to pass.
And this is just the beginning. We haven't even gotten to the great derivatives crisis that is coming. All of these things are going to take time to fully unfold.
A lot of people who write about "economic collapse" talk about it like it will be some type of "event" that will happen on a day or a week and then we will recover.
Well, that is not what it's going to be like.
You need to be ready to endure a very, very long crisis. The suffering that is coming to this nation is beyond what most of us could even imagine.
Even now we are seeing early signs of it. For instance, the mayor of Los Angeles says that the growth of homelessness in his city has gotten so bad that it is now "an emergency":
On Tuesday, Los Angeles officials announced the city's homelessness problem has become an emergency, and proposed allotting $100 million to help shelter the city's massive and growing indigent population.
LA Mayor Eric Garcetti also issued a directive on Monday evening for the city to free up $13 million to help house the estimated 26,000 people who are living on the city's streets.
According to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, the number of encampments and people living in vehicles has increased by 85 percent over the last two years alone.
And in recent years we have seen poverty absolutely explode all over the nation. The "bread lines" of the Great Depression have been replaced with EBT cards, and there is a possibility that a government shutdown in October could "suspend or delay food stamp payments":
A government shutdown Oct. 1 could immediately suspend or delay food stamp payments to some of the 46 million Americans who receive the food aid.
The Agriculture Department said Tuesday that it will stop providing benefits at the beginning of October if Congress does not pass legislation to keep government agencies open.
"If Congress does not act to avert a lapse in appropriations, then USDA will not have the funding necessary for SNAP benefits in October and will be forced to stop providing benefits within the first several days of October," said Catherine Cochran, a spokeswoman for USDA. "Once that occurs, families won't be able to use these benefits at grocery stores to buy the food their families need."
In the U.S. alone, there are tens of millions of people that could not survive without the help of the federal government, and more people are falling out of the middle class every single day.
Our economy is already falling apart all around us, and now another great financial crisis has begun.
When will the "nothing is happening" crowd finally wake up?
Hopefully it will be before they are sitting out on the street begging for spare change to feed their family.

Should You Do Your Job or Obey Your Conscience?

Should You Do Your Job or Obey Your Conscience?

FRANK TUREK  charisma News
Should Christians ever disobey their government? Some say no. But Kim Davis sides with Martin Luther King Jr. and thinks civil disobedience is justified. Mrs. Davis is the Rowan County Kentucky clerk who spent four days in jail for refusing to put her name on same-sex marriage licenses. Claiming to be a new Christian, Ms. Davis is also a longtime Democrat.
"The court cannot condone the willful disobedience of its lawfully issued order," Judge David Bunning told Davis last week in court. "If you give people the opportunity to choose which orders they follow, that's what potentially causes problems."
Judge Bunning is absolutely right. This is the kind of chaos that results when people do not respect the law. But I'm not referring to Kim Davis—I'm referring to the United States Supreme Court. As I've written before, and the multiple dissents state more eloquently, there is no justification in the Constitution for judicially imposing genderless marriage on every state in the union. Five unelected justices simply imposed their own law on 330 million people.
But does that justify civil disobedience? Where do you draw the line?
Certainly, there is a line somewhere. After all, we laud those behind the Underground Railroad who freed slaves and those who protected Jews in Nazi Germany. While bad marriage laws are obviously not as serious, consider a more equivalent scenario: Suppose the Supreme Court decided to drop the age of consent in every state to 12 years old (a position Ruth Bader Ginsberg supported before she became a Supreme Court Justice). Would you think that Kim Davis should be forced to endorse the marriage of a 75-year-old man who brought a 12-year-old girl into her office? I hope you can see that there is a line and it's not far from Kim Davis.
Liberals believe in civil disobedience—when it suits their causes. Despite chanting, "Do your job!" outside Kim Davis's office, liberals were rejoicing when San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom ordered clerks to violate California law and issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples in 2004. They certainly were not chanting "Do your job" outside of Attorney General Eric Holder's office when he told the states last year to ignore their own laws that defined marriage as the union of a man and a woman. And liberals were not asking a federal judge to throw President Obama in jail when he refused to do his job by defending the Defense of Marriage Act in Court.
So just 10 minutes ago liberals believed that defying marriage laws was heroic! Now their blatant double standard is all too obvious—they laud civil disobedience when it's used to advance the religion of sex and denounce it when it's used to protect Christian or natural law beliefs.
But on what authority does one defy the government? One man who wanted a same-sex marriage license asked Kim Davis on "what authority" was she not issuing licenses. She cited God.
Yet the question needs to be asked of both sides. By what authority did Newsom, Holder, Obama and other liberal politicians defy the law? They certainly weren't citing God or the Creator cited in our Declaration of Independence who gives us unalienable rights. But without an authority beyond man's law, there is no authority for their actions nor is there any objective standard to ground unalienable rights. Without God, every right claim is merely a human opinion. At least Kim Davis, agree with her or not, is citing an authority beyond herself.
Civil disobedience has rich precedent in the United States. In fact, our country was founded on it largely to secure religious freedom. Civil disobedience also has precedent in the Bible. When Pharaoh ordered Hebrew midwives to murder all Hebrew boys, they disobeyed and even lied to the authorities (Ex. 1). And Daniel and his friends peacefully defied laws that contracted God's commands. Likewise, when the Jewish authorities told John and Peter to stop telling people the good news that Jesus paid for your sins and rose from the dead, they disobeyed, saying that they would obey God rather than men (Acts 4).
Therefore, the principle for Christians is this: Civil disobedience is necessary when a government compels you to sin or prevents you from doing something God commands you to do. You don't disobey the government merely because it permits others to sin—only when it compels you to do so. Kim Davis thinks that line has been crossed.
It's actually not hard to avoid crossing the line. Both parties can be accommodated as Judge Bunning finally figured out when he released Davis yesterday. In North Carolina, we passed a law to allow people like Kim Davis to opt out of endorsing relationships that violated their religious or moral beliefs. Since other government employees are more than happy to issue licenses, no one is inconvenienced or forced to violate conscience. We do this for far more serious issues than weddings. For example, even during a time of war when we draft people to defend the country, we allow for conscientious objectors to opt out. If we can allow exemptions for government employees involved in protecting the very existence of our nation, we can certainly allow exemptions for government employees involved in weddings!
Will the Kentucky legislature act when it returns in January to pass such a law? Unfortunately, I doubt the activists who are always demanding tolerance will tolerate such reasonableness. It seems that some people just can't live and let live. They will not rest until all opposition is crushed and everyone is forced to celebrate what they are doing.
If that's your position, I have a question for you: Why would you want anyone who disagrees with your wedding to have anything to do with it? Go to another clerk, another florist, another photographer. Why force people to violate their conscience when there are so many other people willing to help you and celebrate with you?  After all, isn't this supposed to be a time when "love wins?"
Apparently not. For some liberals, "love wins" as long as everyone agrees with them. Those that disagree will not like the kind of "love" some liberals dish out. Are the same people who are chanting, "Love wins," some of the same people who issued death threats to Kim Davis? It certainly wasn't the Christians.
The truth is Kim Davis and other victims of "tolerance" don't want a holy war. Davis just doesn't want her signature on the license. She suggested other government officials sign, and Judge Bunning finally agreed. But a law needs to be passed to prevent future problems.
North Carolina has led the way. It remains to be seen if liberals in Kentucky will accept that way. If their recent history is a guide, I'm afraid they will demand that every knee bow and every tongue confess the dogma of their secular religion.

Lou Engle Expects Revival that Will Fill Stadiums

Lou Engle Expects Revival that Will Fill Stadiums

Since 2000, a prayer movement labeled "The Call" has gathered hundreds of thousands of people across America for times of prayer, fasting, repentance and worship.
The Call co-founder Lou Engle says his expectations for coming years are higher than ever and he's asking the church to join him in faith.
Engle is believing for what he calls "stadium Christianity," an outbreak of revival that will bring believers to stadiums across the country to worship and experience a new power in the Holy Spirit.
His dream is to hold "The Call" in Los Angeles Memorial Stadium on April 9, 2016, on the 110th anniversary of the Azusa Street Outpouring, which kicked off the Pentecostal/Charismatic renewal in the United States.
"Can you believe with us that denominations will unite, that the races could come together, that God could make us one, as the antidote to the terrific division in our day?" Lou asks.
"Could you believe with us for 'stadium Christianity' where signs and wonders are breaking out and mass evangelism explodes across our country?" he continued.

Israel Welcomes 221 North American 'Olim'

JERUSALEM, Israel -- More than two hundred North American immigrants arrived in Israel Tuesday morning.
Israeli Immigration and Absorption Minister Zeev Elkin greeted the charter flight carrying 221 new arrivals from the United States and Canada at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport.
According to Nefesh B'Nefesh, 32 families and 53 singles make up the state's newest citizens. By summer's end there should be approximately 2,000 new arrivals, half the total 4,000 expected by year's end.
Nefesh B'Nefesh, The Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Kayemet l'Yisrael, Jewish National Fund USA, and Israel's Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption Ministry worked together to bring the 32 families and 53 singles on Tuesday's flight.

God Said: 'This Is Just a Taste of What Is Coming' - J. Lee Grady

Fire in My Bones, by J. Lee Grady
Last weekend, I led a men's discipleship retreat at a church in Augusta, Georgia. Of the 125 men who attended, there were African-Americans, Ukrainians, Hispanics, Indian-Americans, Brazilians and white guys—and more than a third of them were spiritually hungry teens or 20-somethings. (Those who say young people in the United States aren't interested in Christianity don't attend the same meetings I do.)
We had a special time together—worshiping Jesus, sharing meals, opening our hearts in small groups, listening to messages from both older and younger speakers (the youngest preacher was 25) and praying for racial healing in our nation. Over the course of three days, some guys were delivered from porn, others were reconciled with their dads and many decided to begin mentoring other guys in the faith.
But something happened on the last morning that I felt I needed to share with my Charisma family.
After the last message, I asked my Bolivian friend Ives Orozco to come to the stage with his father-in-law, Fernando Villalobos. I knew a bit of Fernando's testimony. He had been a part of the sweeping revival that occurred in Bolivia in the 1970s, and I wanted him to share a few stories from those days and then pray for us.
I was not prepared for what happened next.
Fernando is not a shouting preacher. He is very humble and soft-spoken, but when he took the microphone the atmosphere in the room shifted immediately. I felt the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.
Fernando began to tell a story about how Julio Ruibal, the leader of the revival movement in Bolivia, had been baptized in the Holy Spirit while visiting California. When he returned to the city of La Paz, he led many students to Christ and was busy discipling them. One day, he asked a Christian woman to prepare a meal for 20 students—but when Julio arrived at her home he had 200 students with him!
When the woman worriedly complained that she didn't have enough food to serve the crowd, Julio told her that Jesus would provide. Then everyone watched as the meal was supernaturally multiplied. What Jesus did for a multitude 2,000 years ago was repeated in a modest home in South America.
"Jesus is here," Fernando said to us.
I have listened to countless miracle testimonies before. But when this broken man stood near the stage at Good News Church in Augusta, it was almost as if the same revival spirit that hit Bolivia more than 50 years ago entered the room.
Men spontaneously got up and walked or crawled to the front of the church. Some were kneeling, others were flat on their stomachs. I began to hear many of them sobbing. Within five minutes it became a chorus of wailing. It reminded me of some accounts I have read from the Great Awakening, when people were overcome by the presence and convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
Fernando did not ask for mood music, and he didn't manipulate the audience to get a response. He didn't tell anyone to cry. He simply reminded us that the same God who poured out the Holy Spirit on Bolivia in the early 1970s—resulting in hundreds of thousands of conversions over a four-month period—was with us now.
As I lay on the carpet in that church I thought of all the times I have prayed in the past year for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit on my generation.
Then I felt the Lord speak to my heart: "This is just a taste of what is coming."
That is all I needed to know to be convinced. A fresh wave of God's power is headed toward the United States. The Lord has heard the cries of His people, and He is about to do again what He did in the early 1970s—only this time young people will be catapulted to the forefront of the movement, and it will not be divided by race.
I pray we all have our lamps full of oil so we can be ready for this visitation. Pray and expect the tangible presence of God to rock your world. We are on the verge of something big.

Billy Graham: What Is This Country Coming To?

Billy Graham: What Is This Country Coming To?

Billy Graham
Billy Graham (Courtesy/BGEA)
The great need in America is not for a new organization. Our great need is not for more economic prosperity. Our great need is for a real spiritual awakening, a revival in which men and women will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways to the God of our fathers.
In my opinion we've had four major crisis periods in American history. The first was the Revolutionary War. We did not even know whether we could be born as a nation or not. It was my privilege to be at Valley Forge when President Eisenhower made this statement there: "This is where they got [our independence] for us.
In the midst of that winter, General Washington was seen time and again on his knees out in the snow calling upon God for victory. Out of that winter of prayer, George Washington led that little, beaten, discouraged, tattered army to a great victory that brought about the independence of the United States from Great Britain. I believe God helped that little army as it marched all the way to Yorktown.
The next great crisis in American history came when a Constitutional Convention was called in Philadelphia to ratify a Constitution for the new country that was being born. The delegates got angry with each other; they couldn't agree on a thing. Benjamin Franklin eloquently called on the Convention to pray for God's assistance: ["We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings, that 'except the Lord build the House they labour in vain that build it.' I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the Builders of Babel."]
Out of that Convention came the Constitution of the United States.
The next great crisis came during the Civil War. Men on both sides were killing each other, brothers against brothers, and it seemed that our little country would be torn apart. It seemed that we would become two separate nations or that some European power would come and take us over because we had weakened each other. But thank God, on both sides we had some men and women who believed in God.
A man came to Abraham Lincoln one day and said, "Mr. Lincoln, don't you believe that God is with us?" Mr. Lincoln said, "I'm not interested as to whether God is with us; I'm interested as to whether we are on God's side." President Lincoln called the nation to a day of prayer, and in his call of prayer he recommended individual repentance. He called for a renewed faith in God. He said, "We are a nation of sinful people, and God has brought us to this point; let us pray to God."
The day that General Lee surrendered, President Lincoln called the Cabinet to prayer, and at the suggestion of the president the whole Cabinet dropped to its knees and offered thanks to Almighty God for the victory that preserved the Union.
Down in the South many people had also been praying. Robert E. Lee had been asked one day, "Aren't you praying for victory?" General Lee said, "No, I'm praying that the will of God be done." We believe that God's will was done. The shackles of slavery were thrown off. The Union was preserved and the nation reunited.
The fourth great crisis in American history was not World War I. We were never threatened in World War I. Nor was it World War II. We were really never threatened as a nation in World War II. The fourth great crisis in American history is the crisis of the present moment. Our nation at this moment is being threatened as it has not been threatened since the Civil War. We are being threatened by moral deterioration.
We have seen this country plunging deeper and deeper, at a rapidly gaining momentum, into moral deterioration. Honesty and truthfulness have been thrown out the window. The nation is on a mad pursuit of amusements, pleasure and immorality.
The same symptoms that were in Rome during its last days are now seen and felt in America. Walk down the streets of our cities and see the current names of today's films. Many are either psychopathic or centered on sex.
What is this country coming to?
We need a moral revival. We need a spiritual revival that will put a new moral fiber into our society, or we will have collapsed internally before any enemies even get here. We are being softened up right now by the devil for the kill.
We are also being threatened today by racial tension, strife that has at times brought us to the brink of cultural war between the great races in this country.
It is high time that we come to the foot of the cross. When you come to the foot of the cross and receive Christ as Savior, He gives you the capacity to love your neighbor.
There is no superior race in God's sight. God does not look upon the outward appearance. God looks upon the heart. God sees our pride. We are going to have to come to where we love each other as neighbors and to where we look through the eyes of Jesus at sin.
God is looking for real and genuine repentance. To whom much is given, much is required. Much is given to America, and much shall be required of America.
There are several reasons why God has spared us this long. First is the very nature of God. Psalm 130:3 says, "If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?" The Bible teaches that God is a God of mercy, long-suffering and love. And God loves you as an individual. He is a God of mercy. He gave His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross, to shed His blood for your sins, to rise again for your justification. He loves us, and every time I look at the cross I see written over it in letters of fire, "God is love, God is love, God is love. He loves you, He loves you."
Second, He is not willing that any should perish. God does not want you to go to hell. He does not want you to be lost. He loves you so much that He sent His Son to die for you. But God gave you a will of your own. You can say "no" to God or you can say "yes" to God.
Third, God has spared America because of the great number of born-again Christians in America.
Isaiah 1:9 says, "Unless the Lord of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been made like Gomorrah." If it were not for God's people in this country, it would have been destroyed long ago. Don't despise that godly Christian who lives next door to you. Don't laugh at that Christian student you go to school with. I tell you, he or she is one of the reasons that this nation has the blessings and prosperity that it has.
But unless the Lord's people discipline themselves to prayer, unless the Lord's people discipline themselves to Bible study, unless the Lord's people discipline themselves to living a Spirit-filled, Christ-honoring life, that blessing will not last very long.
There was a time when Christians would not dare to look at some of the things we are now seeing every day. We are gradually taking in the amusements and the pleasures until our spiritual life is being dulled and the Bible no longer has the glow to it. The time of prayer no longer has the desire that it used to have. You know that is true. We need to repent of our sins.
I am convinced that our nation is in peril. The handwriting is on the wall. The signs of the times are everywhere. American people cannot long continue in their moral degeneracy. A cancer is eating at the heart and core of the American way of life.
The Bible says that we are to humble ourselves. No man or woman can come to the kingdom of God proudly. You must come in humility.
The only prayer that you can pray if you have never come to Christ is, "God, be merciful to me a sinner" (Luke 18:13). Have you prayed that prayer?
I'm not asking if you have partaken of the sacraments. I'm not asking if you belong to a church. I'm asking you, have you said, "God, be merciful to me, a sinner"? Have you come to the foot of the cross in humility and received Him as your Savior and Lord, and asked Him to cover your sins with His blood? If you haven't, you can right now. Your life can be changed and transformed.
The only way that we can have our lives changed and find peace, joy and the fulfillment of life; the only way to have sin forgiven; the only way to know that you are going to heaven, is to receive Christ as your Lord, Savior and Master. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12). "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom. 10:9).
The place where we belong is at the foot of the cross. The great need in America is not for more guns or more smart bombs—it is for more men and women who have been transformed by the power of Christ and are living dedicated lives for Christ in the office, on the production line and in the school. The great need is for men and women who will take their stand for the Lord Jesus Christ, no matter what the cost may be.
Pockets of true revival are breaking out across America. Want to know more about the next great move of God? Click here to see Jennifer LeClaire's new book, featuring Dutch Sheets, Reinhard Bonnke, Jonathan Cahn, Billy Graham and others.

The Shemitah: Four Months Until Financial Ruin?

The Shemitah: Four Months Until Financial Ruin?

Wall Street
With the super Shemitah rapidly approaching, is Wall Street about to take a devastating turn? (Carlo Allegri/Reuters)
According to Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's timeline, the "great shaking" is almost upon us. And while the New York Times best-selling author is quick to point out that God is not bound by the cycle, it doesn't bode well for the United States.
Prolific author Paul McGuire agrees, and come September—the beginning of the Super Shemitah—America could face financial ruin because of how the country has turned away from God.
"Our founding fathers understood that God is and was our source, and so that is that the fundamental principle of economic prosperity." McGuire said at the Prophecy in the News Conference. "The fundamental (principle) of economic prosperity is understanding that the source and everything you need is God Almighty. So when any individual or nation understands that the source of their economic blessing is God, they open the door to the powerful possibility of economic prosperity. The economic enginges begin to roar, the creative ideas that produce money and technology and businesses and entrepreurshiop begin to explode. It's God that gives the power to get wealth."
But when the nation turns away, it loses that blessing.
As America makes the profane sacred—such as gay marriage, sexual lifestyles outside of marriage, abortion, etc.—Cahn can't help but point to parallels with Israel.
"The Sabbath year was called the Shemitah, but it's to be blessing for Isarel. But when Israel turns away from God, what happen is the Shemitah comes back at them not as blessing but as a sign of judgment on a nation that has driven God out of its life," Cahn says. "And that strikes the financial realm, the economic realm and the blessings of prosperity or sustenance for the nation. Shemitah blessings turn to a curse when God is driven out."
And as we approach September and October—Cahn expects a wipe-out on Wall Street. Historically, he's accurate.
Black Tuesday was Oct. 29, 1929
Sept. 11, 2001 had immense economic impacts.
In September 2008, the U.S. treasury seized control of mortgage giants to help balance losses.
Those are all Shemitah years. When the Shemitah year began last September, the United States lost it's financial superiority to China, sending stocks plummeting
With these results, the future doesn't bode well—especially with the super Shemitah beginning in September—even by secular standards, for the global economy. CNBC predicts plunging oil prices, an anemic global growth and spiked inflation for emerging economies.
C-SPAN reports predictions that the Federal Reserve policy, as well as Congress' ability to govern could affect the economy improving. The stock Market-Barometer advises caution in its financial forecast.
With so many markets depending on each other for financial success, McGuire says this is an indicator of the end times.
"And the Bible says that in the end times, in the last days, that there will come a one-world economic system, a false prophet who will administrate the one-world economic system and the one-world economic system will be integrated with the one world religion, and this will culminate in a cashless society," McGuire says. "The world system is a control system that is both spiritual and economic. Money is all about captivity, slavery and control. That is its essential purpose. It's essential purpose is not an economic instrument of exchange. It's about control and the occult and spirituality."
The interwoven aspect of finances and spirituality comes into play as America seeks to legalize same-sex marriage, creating a slippery slope for sexuality and gender identity, which further distances us from God the creator.
Many arguments around marriage equality center around tax benefits, and as the church continues to depend on the government for tax-exempt statuses, as well as programs to care for the impoverished, money again comes into play. Governments, at both the local and state levels, are levying taxes against residents, taking away from their financial gain
A complete turnaround from our dependence on the Lord is leading us to fall on our knees financially, both Cahn and McGuire say. As the Shemitah approaches toward the end of the year, our only hope is an appeal to heaven.

Israeli Rabbi Predicts Blood Moon Judgment

Israeli Rabbi Predicts Blood Moon Judgment

A mystic Israeli rabbi from southern Israel has called on all Jews to repent and pray with the approach of the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle, to appear in the skies during Passover and Good Friday.

The website Breaking Israel News reports that Rabbi Amram Vankin predicted years ago that that the 44th president of the United States would bring bloodshed to the Jewish people, based on the Hebrew word for blood, "dam," which has the numeric value of 44. Vankin said this before Barack Obama was elected as the 44th American president.

President Obama just heralded the framework for an agreement between the world powers and Iran, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Friday "will threaten the survival of Israel."

The rabbi believes the number 44 has special significance this lunar eclipse because this one is expected to last 4 minutes and 44 seconds, the shortest such eclipse of the 21st century.

A student of the rabbi, Gil Nachman, spoke with Breaking Israel News, saying Vankin also correctly predicted the Gaza Flotilla conflict and Carmel forest fire in Israel in 2010, as well as the two Israeli clashes with Hamas in Gaza, Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012 and Operation Protective Edge in 2014.

Vankin attended his own call for prayer at Jerusalem's Western Wall on Wednesday after putting out a Facebook message saying, "In these critical times, Am Israel must join together to pray to Hashem (the Lord) to send us Messiach Ben David (the Messiah)."

Other rabbis and pastors believe the Blood Moons are a significant signpost in the heavens, but may not portend judgment for Israel as much as they portend momentous events, and perhaps blessing for the Jewish people.

Pastor John Hagee, author of the book, Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change, told CBN News' Erick Stakelbeck, "God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way."

"I believe that in the next two years (from 2014), we're going to see something dramatic happen in the Middle East involving Israel that will change the course of history in the Middle East and impact the whole world," Hagee said.

Pastor Bob O'Dell of Root Source explained, "All the prior blood moon tetrads point to a pattern of blessing on the Jewish people. They are good news for the Jews. They are a great indicator of God's love and commitment to the Jewish people to preserve them, and a warning to those who stand in opposition to Israel."

The last series of four blood moons to occur in consecutive years during the Jewish Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles coincided with Israel's victory in the Six-Day War, which gave the Jews control of their capital, Jerusalem, for the first time in nearly 2,000 years.

On one thing many sages and clerics, both Jewish and Christian agree: it is a time to pray.
