ANALYSIS: Russia Makes Israeli Airstrikes in Syria Virtually Impossible - Yochanan Visser israel today

ANALYSIS: Russia Makes Israeli Airstrikes in Syria Virtually Impossible

Wednesday, December 19, 2018 |  Yochanan Visser  israel today
Things heated up on the Israel Lebanon border on Tuesday when soldiers of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) prevented IDF soldiers from erecting a barbed wire fence on the Israeli side of the so-called Blue Line, the UN recognized international border between Israel and Lebanon.
It took an intervention of a UNIFIL unit to prevent things from spinning out of control.
The LAF falsely claimed that IDF soldiers had entered Lebanese territory on four places and said the Israeli action constituted a “violation of Lebanese sovereignty” while it warned Lebanese civilians to get out of the area.
The Lebanese military later announced it was ready for “all possibilities”.
UNIFIL, meanwhile, confirmed at least two of the four discovered attack tunnels which Hezbollah dug in the years after the Second Lebanon War crossed into Israel and that this constituted a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Israel Today asked local IDF commanders for entrance to the sites where the Israeli army is conducting drilling for the destruction of the Hezbollah tunnels but the request was denied. Only CNN was permitted to enter one of the sites and to make video images of one of the tunnels.
Israel is currently trying to convince the US Administration of President Donald Trump to withhold financial aid to Lebanon as long as the Lebanese government doesn’t start with discovering and destroying the entrances of the tunnels on Lebanese soil.
UNIFIL reportedly refuses to get involved with the closure of the attack tunnels fearing reprisals by Hezbollah and tensions with the local Arab population, according to the Lebanese paper al-Akhbar which is affiliated with Hezbollah.
Israel is also using ‘Operation Northern Shield’ to launch a public relations campaign which aims to generate international pressure on the Lebanese government which Jerusalem expects to act against the Iranian attempt to provide Hezbollah with more guided missiles.
Iran and Hezbollah have built underground facilities in Lebanon to produce these missiles or to convert crude rockets into GPS guided projectiles, according to the Israeli government.
Israeli experts have warned that the Iranian attempt to provide Hezbollah with guided missiles will eventually lead to war if the international community doesn’t take action.
The UN Security Council will discuss the tunnel issue on Wednesday and Israel - which is not a member of the Council - is pushing the United States to put the Iranian missile facilities in Lebanon on the agenda as well.
On Tuesday the IDF released new video footage of a recently discovered tunnel which revealed that Hezbollah is trying to seal off the tunnels since the IDF discovered them.
The Israeli military is now filling the discovered tunnels with explosives in preparation of their destruction.
“From the moment the terrorist tunnels are exposed, IDF soldiers are working on learning about them through various means, including photography and research capabilities,” the IDF’s spokesmen unit said in a statement.
The IDF is expecting to expose dozens of additional terror tunnels and thinks Operation Northern Shield will continue for weeks if not months.
The Israeli air force (IAF), meanwhile, continues to conduct reconnaissance flights in southern Lebanon according to Lebanese media.
An IAF jet was spotted in the skies above the south Lebanese city of Sidon on Tuesday while breaking through the sound barrier.
This reporter also witnessed how the IDF is moving artillery from the Syrian border to the front with Lebanon.
This was another indication that Israel now considers the Lebanese front more hostile than the one with Syria and could act against the Iranian military build-up in Lebanon when the international community fails to contain the threat Iran and Hezbollah pose to the country.
The IAF has significantly reduced its activities against Iran in Syria since a crisis with Russia erupted over the downing of a Russian IL-20 reconnaissance plane in September.
Since the Russians delivered the S-300 anti-aircraft missile shield to the Syrian army the Israeli military has refrained from carrying out airstrikes against Iran-related targets in Syria and instead used missiles to destroy weapon convoys bound for Hezbollah and targets related to the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).
The sharp reduction in Israeli military activity in Syria is also related to a change in the rules of engagement by both Russia and the Iranian-backed pro-Assad coalition.
Damascus has warned Israel that any attack in Syria will now be answered by an attack on a target in Israel while the Russians have warned the Israeli government that it has stationed Russian military personnel on bases and facilities belonging to the Quds Force of the IRGC.
Veteran war correspondent Elijah J. Magnier reported this week that “Russia has informed Israel that there are Russian officers present at every Syrian or Iranian military base and that any strike against Syrian or Iranian objectives would hit Russian forces as well. Putin will not allow his soldiers and officers to be struck down by Israel’s direct or indirect bombing”.
His report was later followed by an article by the Russian outlet Kommersant which said that Moscow is allowing Hezbollah units and Shiite militias in Syria to use Russian flags as protection against Israeli air strikes.

Palestinians Receiving Plenty of Public Opinion Passes - NOAH BECK CHARISMA NEWS

Palestinians Receiving Plenty of Public Opinion Passes

Israeli and the Palestinian Authority are no closer to peace these days than they have ever been. (Wikimedia Commons)
Activists who genuinely want to see peace between Israelis and Palestinians need to internalize a memorably alliterative warning: plenty of Palestinian passes perpetuate the impasse. The more global opinion ignores or rewards irresponsible behavior by Palestinians, the more likely renewed violence (rather than peace) becomes.
There are enough instances of unfair and counterproductive "Palestinian passes" to fill a tomb, but here are some recent examples.
Passing on Hamas Bellicosity
Probably the most important pass currently given to the Palestinians is the global silence over news that Hamas is preparing to launch another war against Israel while distressing ordinary Israelis with their ominous tunneling sounds. Such silence by the world's most important media, international bodies, political leaders, NonGovernmental Organizations and academics helps keep Hamas in power, and when Hamas eventually launches new hostilities against Israel, many of the same voices that are now silent will blame Israel for the resulting suffering.
Hamas bellicosity is constant, and constantly ignored. Rather than prepare Palestinians for peace, Hamas glorifies death and promotes viciously hateful ideologies. A Hamas TV broadcast announces, "We have no problem with death. We are not like the children of Israel ... we yearn for death and Martyrdom ... Every mother ... must nurse her children on hatred of the sons of Zion."
Last April, Iran reportedly sent Hamas tens of millions of dollars to rebuild tunnels and restock missile arsenals destroyed in 2014 by Israel during Operation Protective Edge. Instead of global sanctions or censure over its support for terrorism, Iran was rewarded with a nuclear deal that just unlocked $100 billion in frozen assets, some of which are expected to support more terrorism.
Hamas regularly starts pointless wars with Israel that doom Gaza to inevitable devastation. Then, when international sympathy and donations pour in, Hamas diverts the resources to rebuilding its offensive capabilities/tunnels (rather than destroyed homes in Gaza).
Hamas recently accelerated its tunnel-digging program. Indeed, three collapsing tunnels killed eight Hamas diggers in late January and another two last week.
Such reports establish that Hamas is diverting resources from rehabilitating Gaza to attacking Israel, and yet the world still blames Israel for Gazan misery.
Passing on Hamas Abuse of Gazans
Ironically, those who claim to excoriate Israel out of their concern for the welfare of Gaza don't seem to care when Hamas causes Gazan suffering.  At least 160 Gazan children died digging Hamas' tunnels intended to kill Israeli children. Hamas tortures political prisoners next to a girl's school and kills its critics (it executed 25 in 2014). Hamas executed 120 Gazans for breaching a curfew. Hamas kills fellow Palestinians when its rockets fall short. Unsurprisingly, in a poll last September, Gazans actually preferred Israeli rule to Hamas.
Passing on Palestinian Incitement
Facebook tolerates Palestinian incitement but quickly responds to complaints about Jewish racism. The company is clearly able to control the threats circulating on its site, as shown by Facebook's recent decision to stop gun sale promotions, making the continued incitement against Jews and Israelis on Facebook all the more outrageous. Facebook has much to learn from its tech rival, Google, which is reportedly directing jihadi search queries to sites that deradicalize.
Global opinion seems indifferent to how incitement (including in Palestinian pop culture) contributes to Palestinian violence. Instead, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon blames Palestinian terrorist attacks on Israeli policy (settlements), which is like blaming the November Paris attacks on France's policy against Islamic veils in schools (ironically, Israel actually allows such veils in its schools).
When Israelis kill knife-wielding Palestinians in self-defense, Sweden's foreign minister calls for a probe into Israeli "extra-judicial killing," but she was conspicuously silent after French police preemptively killed a machete-wielding Islamist trying to hack them in a Paris police station.
Except for attacks on Israelis, world leaders and commentators never try to blame the victims of Islamist terror. This hateful, blame-the-victim exception for Jews is not limited to the Jewish state. According to recent polls, many of the French believe that Jews in France are responsible for a rise in anti-Semitism.
Diplomatic Passes
Those who claim to want Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation should recognize that pressuring only Israel actually reduces the prospects for peace (as an architect of the Oslo Peace Acords observed about the Obama administration's fruitless efforts). Unfortunately, France is repeating Obama's mistakes with its latest threat to recognize Palestine if Israelis doesn't make enough concessions to those trying to stab them.
Passing on Israeli Victims
Phyllis Chesler shows how the New York Times employs a double standard in reporting on victims of violence. Palestinians are personalized with names, ages, and sympathetic eyewitnesses. That rarely happens with Israeli victims.
More recently, CAMERA highlights how leading U.S. papers downplay or ignore the recent Palestinian stabbing murders of Israeli women.
A CBS News headline last week provided a classic example after gunmen attempted a terrorist attack outside Jerusalem's old city. Three terrorists died after killing a 19-year-old policewoman. The headline? "3 Palestinians killed as daily violence grinds on." Thankfully, the network apologized and changed the headline. But the original version would have been akin to a 9/11 headline saying, "19 Muslims Die in Plane Crashes."
Passing on Israel's Positive Stories
A corollary of the pro-Palestinian pass on negative coverage is passing on positive coverage of Israel. There has been virtually no mention of Israel's disproportionately generous humanitarian aid efforts, or its exceptional contributions to solving global problems relating to health, energy, agriculture, security, (as Israel has done in Africa).
If the world knew just how important Israel is to solving some of the planet's toughest problems, and how Israelis can also be victims of war and terror, global opinion might be less judgmental and more protective of the only democracy in the Middle East, as the tiny Jewish state does its best to survive in the world's toughest neighborhood.
All of these types of passes grow exponentially worse whenever war breaks out, usually after Hamas launches one too many missiles at Israeli civilians. When Israel can no longer accept about 40 percent of its population living in range of deadly rocket attacks and finally does what any normal country would do—take military action against those attacking it – the global media bias moves into overdrive, enabled by "Pallywood," journalistic malpractice, and fear of Hamas retribution.
Casualties inevitably mount, especially thanks to Hamas's unethical use of human shields, emotions run high, and media outlets compete to get "breaking news" out first, resulting in less time to check facts and more group thinkpressure to favor the perceived underdog. The media slant then exacerbates the bias from world leaders, international bodies, NGOs, academics, and anti-Israel boycott movements.
Thus, with each war, Israel gets more demonized while Palestinians are increasingly presented as blameless victims. Tragically, these biases actually perpetuate the conflict. Those who genuinely want peace should focus global media attention, lobbying, and resources on Palestinian intransigence and Hamas' obsessive focus on attacking and trying to "destroy Israel."

The CIA and the Search for the Ark of the Covenant

“David again gathered all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand. And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale-judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord of hosts who sits enthroned on the cherubim.” (2 Samuel 6:1-23)
Moskoff shares his theory that the most prized find in archaeological history may be within an elaborate tunnel system below the temple mount.
Uncover the Truth Behind the A.R.K.
He also discusses why they CIA has been tracking the search for biblical artifacts, the reason that governmental powers are preventing a search of the tunnels, the involvement of the Knights Templar, his thoughts on the Da Vinci Code, what role the Ark might play in Bible prophecy, and more.

PROPHETIC WATCH WORD! - Lance Wallnau

PROPHETIC WATCH WORD!

TUNNELS and TERROR and BROKEN DOWN WALLS

I am no alarmist but I do know how to discern the obvious.

When…
Christians and children are being slaughtered by ISIS and an American Journalist is beheaded for publication on social media, at the same time that race riots start to spill over into American cities it starts you wondering. What is being unleashed against us?
Is there a connection? Are there other connections?
Then it hit me like a whack to the side of the prophetic head, that Israel and the United States have a unique spiritual connection.
Israel has been under attack by implacable foes committed to their destruction. One of the Hammas tactics that was exposed is an elaborate underground TUNNEL SYSTEM designed to penetrate and GET INTO Israel’s borders to unleash destruction. Money that could have been used for the welfare of the people in building of schools or hospitals was diverted for the construction of multiple tunnels to export terror.
Our BORDER SITUATION with Mexico has been on the news. Masses of people, including vicious CRIME GANGS have been coming over along with a flood of youth. ISIS has been caught communicating with leading Mexican DRUG CARTELS in an effort to coordinate agendas against the United States. Probably leveraging access through our own border.
The ISIS butcher who did the beheading of the American is believed to be a British man. The U.K. has been host to many unhappy Muslim sympathisers. News reports that as many as 100 ISIS trained Brits and US citizens are expected to be working their way into the United States and back to England.
Remembering 9-11 when we were hosting terror cells that plotted our destruction.
Americas lawlessness and rejection of God reminds me of a Proverb of Solomon…
“He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” (Pr 25:28) As we cast off Biblical values our walls collapse.
The only ones who will see this connection are Gods people. Maybe this is a catalyst for us to humble ourselves and pray and turn from our own wicked ways so God can heal our land?
The secular world will laugh at the notion that our nation is experiencing the erosion of its divine protection.
Let us pray that God will use this hour to truly awaken His church and that we shall prevail in rebuilding the walls and restoring the fear of God to a nation asleep to its own perilous condition.
Now is the time we REALLY NEED TO BE WATCHMEN!
Let me hear from you.
1.) How do you suggest we pray? (Give me some brief comments – short enough so all can be read) and also give a prayer strategy.
2.) Are you seeing this connection also?
KNOW that God is working all this together for an American Awakening

VIDEO: Gaza Terrorists Killed Trying to Infiltrate Israel

VIDEO: Gaza Terrorists Killed Trying to Infiltrate Israel

Thursday, July 17, 2014 |  Israel Today Staff
Just hours before a temporary humanitarian truce requested by the UN was to go into effect, a squad of 13 Hamas terrorists from Gaza infiltrated southern Israel via an underground tunnel.
In surveillance footage released by the Israeli army (see below), the terrorists can be seen taking cover near the tunnel exit as they plan their next move on the nearby Israeli community of Kibbutz Sufa.
Moments later, the terrorists realize they have been spotted and scurry back to their tunnel, but it’s already too late. Israel’s Air Force launches a pinpoint strike on the tunnel exit and destroys the terror cell.
No doubt, those 13 will be added to the list of Palestinians killed in what many around the world are calling “Israeli war crimes.”

Tel Aviv-Jerusalem railroad (in Hebrew, but good to see anyway for English speaking viewers.)

Concept of the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem hi-speed train

Dear Family and Friends,

I thought some of you "Israel Lovers" might be interested in this 10-minute video.
The narrative is in Hebrew, but you can still get the gist of the story through the video.

Naturally we have seen much of this under construction as we drive between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem several times a month when we are in Israel.  The bridges spanning the valleys are truly majestic!  Also, at the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem one can see the underground construction going on where the train will enter town.

It will come into the area of the Central Bus Station about 50 or 60 feet below ground.  (Between the Central Bus Station and the Crown Plaza Hotel one can actually look into this big hole and see the work going on about 5 or six stories below; it's pretty spectacular.)

Anyway, when you have a spare 10 minutes, enjoy the video...
