Ultimate Curse for US? - Joel Rosenberg

Joel C. Rosenberg Reveals

Ultimate Curse for US

Joel C. Rosenberg
Joel C. Rosenberg
Last Friday, I had the honor of addressing the Values Voter Summit in the nation’s capital. To watch the video of the speech—which runs about 22 minutes—please click here.
In my remarks, I noted that Americans increasingly fear for the future of our country. Today, nearly 8 in 10 Americans believe the country is on the “wrong track,” and they’re right. Families are imploding from adultery and divorce. We have chronically high unemployment, sluggish economic growth and skyrocketing national debt. We are facing high rates of crime and drug and alcohol abuse and tragically high suicide rates among our young people and armed forces.
And then there is the most haunting number—55 million babies who have been aborted since 1973. Soon, if this is not changed, we will reach 60 million babies murdered.
For these and many other reasons, America is in grave danger. Unless we repent and plead with the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive us—and give us a Third Great Awakening—we face not only the possibility of the Lord removing His hand of grace and favor on us, but also His bringing judgment to us.
But I noted that we face another dangerous moment as well. What if, on top of all of our other national sins, America turns against Israel and the Jewish people?
The Lord God Almighty said clearly in the Abrahamic covenant (Gen. 12:1-3), “I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse.” At this critical moment in American history, do we want God’s blessing, or will we invite His curse?
Unfortunately, U.S.-Israel ties have been more strained in recent years than at any other time since 1948. A large and growing number of Israelis feel like they are increasingly alone in the world and that their longtime faithful ally, the United States, might not be there for them when the next big crisis hits.
  • new poll published by the Jerusalem Post, for example, notes that “two-thirds of Jewish Israelis believe U.S. President Barack Obama will fail to keep his promise to prevent Iran’s development of nuclear weapons.”
  • While the vast majority of the speakers at the Values Voter Summit are staunchly pro-Israel, one speaker—Sen. Rand Paul—has called for eliminating all U.S. military aid to Israel.
  • The situation has gotten so serious that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu felt compelled during his recent U.N. speech to say, “Israel will not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone.”
How serious is the possibility that America will eventually turn against Israel? What should Christians do?
I hope you will take some time to watch the address, share it with others and then comment on our“Epicenter Team” page on Facebook and/or send me a note on Twitter at @JoelCRosenberg.

All Roads Now Lead Back to Jerusalem' - CBN's Mitchell

CBN's Mitchell: 'All Roads Now Lead Back to Jerusalem'

JERUSALEM, Israel - For the past 12 years, CBN Middle East Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell has reported on stories from Israel and across the region.
Now he's recorded some of his experiences in a new book called, Dateline Jerusalem: An Eyewitness Account of Prophecies Unfolding in the Middle East.
Mitchell spoke with CBN's Scott Ross about his experiences and the events unfolding across the volatile Middle East.
The veteran reporter moved to Jerusalem with his family more than a decade ago. In doing so, he recalled the words of a friend who said, "You don't choose Jerusalem, Jerusalem chooses you."
Mitchell said the news he covers is more than individual stories. He said he sees a theme emerging that ties world events to the final battle for Jerusalem.
"You know, 2,000 years ago it was said that all roads lead to Rome. Two-thousand years later, I would feel that all roads are leading to Jerusalem," he told Ross.
"And whether it's Christians praying for the peace of Jerusalem like never before," he continued, "Or if it's about Jews that are coming back to this city, and fulfilling a dream of 2,000 years, or if it's radical Muslims who want to see Jerusalem as the capital of a caliphate - all roads, for good and evil, seem to be leading back here."

'Arabs Realizing Israel Is Not the Enemy'

'Arabs Realizing Israel Is Not the Enemy'

Friday, October 18, 2013 |  Ryan Jones, Israel Today
One of the very few positive outcomes of the regional crises engulfing the Middle East is that a number of Arab states are beginning to realize that Israel is not the true enemy.
“For the first time in Israel’s existence, there is an understanding in the Arab world, that Israel is not the enemy of the Arabs. On many issues, we are united,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the opening of the Knesset’s winter session earlier this week.
Netanyahu noted that the hijacking of pro-democracy revolutions in Egypt, Syria and elsewhere had turned many of the Arab states against the same Islamist regimes and groups that most threaten Israel.
“Many nations in the area have a strong desire to eliminate the influence of Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaida,” the prime minister said. “This is an important development, even historic.”
An unnamed government source later revealed to Israel’s Ynet news portal that Netanyahu’s remarks were not just flowery rhetoric, but a veiled announcement that Israel and several Arab states, some of which have no official diplomatic ties with the Jewish state, are now actively cooperating on various fronts.
With America increasingly seen as an unreliable ally, Arab states are looking for a strong anchor nation with which they can coordinate their own battles against Islamic extremism and Iranian hegemony.
Many have found that ally in Israel, even if the bulk of the unprecedented cooperation must happen in secret.

Verse of the Day from Daily Manna
Romans 16:17-19Fri October, 18, 2013

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

World Vision is an international Christian relief and development organization working to promote the well-being of all people - especially children.

Biography

In the business of music, 15 years might as well be a lifetime; however, for four ordinary guys who couldn’t imagine anything better than singing about Jesus, the past 15 years have been more like a dream come to life. 4HIM has been about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through the powerful, incomparable medium of music since their beginnings singing with the well-known ensemble group, Truth.

From the four ordinary guys who formed while sitting down at McDonald’s to explore the idea of forming a four-man pop-gospel group, 4HIM presents ENCORE…FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS, their final project as 4HIM, a collection of career favorites, as well as a solo song from each member.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to write the closing chapter to our story than to sing our way out,” 4HIM states, “We hope you hear our hearts in ENCORE and know how blessed we’ve been to be a part of your lives.”

Since their formation in 1989, their harmonic convergence—the likes of which hadn’t been heard in Christian music since the Imperials took audiences by storm in the late 1970s—blended the best of tradition from past decades in Christian music with modern pop sensibilities and no-holds-barred, real life lyrics. Christian radio ‘got it’ right of the box with the group’s first No. 1 single, “Where There Is Faith,” and audiences began to sit up and take notice of the fresh-faced foursome from down south.

4HIM managed to transcend any of those potential pratfalls, continuing to make music that not only met the needs of listeners but pushed the creative envelope as the mainstream pop music scene evolved into something a little less slick, less produced.

By the time 4HIM’s ‘best of’ album released in 2004, all four men were contemplating ‘where do we go from here?’ Not because they were drifting apart or because the opportunities were few and far between. No, call it sixth sense, the sense of discovery, of beginning to understand that there could be life beyond the ministry they’d devoted the biggest part of their adult lives to.

After much prayer, Andy Chrisman decided to pursue a lifelong passion as worship leader at a local church in Celebration, Florida. Mark Harris had begun writing new songs for a solo project. Marty and Kirk were also busy writing and doing production work on their own.

Each one, in his own time, began to feel the excitement of seeing new roads winding out before them. They began, one by one, to sense God saying “I am doing a new thing in you.” And so, with gratitude for all God has done over the past 15 years, they began to write the closing chapter in the story of 4HIM.

Taking a walk down memory lane, 4HIM recorded new versions of their biggest hits on the farewell project. Once again their longtime producer Michael Omartian produced the project, which features nine favorite 4HIM songs, in addition to a medley and one new track, “Unity (We Stand),” featuring guest vocalists Point of Grace and Jeromy Deibler of FFH. Four bonus solo songs from each band member will also be included.

“This project will hopefully capture the spirit of the songs and where we are now in 2005 musically, spiritually and thematically it will be a trip down memory lane with a new twist,” Mark Harris explains. “We wanted to do this last project as a gift to our loyal fans—to commemorate all the years of faithful support we have received from them.”

Throughout their time together, 4HIM has received much acclaim for their 11 hit albums including an RIAA Gold certified album (The Basics of Life), 24 No. 1 radio singles, eight Dove Awards including three “Group of the Year,” and a Grammy Award nomination as well as Alabama’s Music Hall of Fame for The Governor’s Achievement Award. In addition to their numerous tours across the nation, the group has also been featured performers with the Billy Graham and Louis Palau crusades.

Kim Clement: "Stop Looking to OPEC and the Middle East...I'm Going to Give You a New Source of Energy and Resources"

Kim Clement:
"Stop Looking to OPEC and the Middle East...
I'm Going to Give You a
New Source of Energy and Resources"

Kim ClementGod Wants to Open Up Resources

September 21, 2013 - From The Den:

[God] started dealing with me about the blessings that are supposed to be on the people of God – people that serve Him, people that give, people that do good. There's supposed to be a blessing.

So, I began to pray for different things, and while I was in the garden, I was speaking to someone about building an altar there so that I can bring all the prayer requests to a literal altar as well, and then I heard this in my mind: He said, "I want you to tell all the businessmen and businesswomen, all the business people, that you are going to dedicate a specific day to pray for their businesses."

I saw it developing and I began to pray. I saw young people become entrepreneurs, and they're going to make millions and billions of dollars that are set aside for them. You see, God sets times and seasons aside for certain things.

When I was in the garden, I was catching a glimpse of this season where God wants to really raise up businesses for people that want to start businesses and people that are in businesses now that are drying up (in other words, you're not doing very well).

There's another business for you. There's something new – a new opportunity, a new door that has opened up for you.

I heard all this and thought, "What do you want me to do about it?" He said, "The first thing you've got to do is enlighten them, because there are a lot of people that are discouraged."

There are a lot of people that have lost out so much, they think it'll never be retrieved and that it's impossible for God to ever restore them. But what you're doing is, you're looking to the same source. In other words, if you sell shoes, you're trying to sell more shoes, and the shoes are not selling. What you're trying to do is beat that dead horse when there might be something else.

Start digging for wellsGod wants to open up resources.

All He needs are a few people that are prepared to start digging for wells. That's when it happened in Isaac's time; there were wells that were stopped up that belonged to him by inheritance, but by occupation the enemy had them.

In other words, the wells that Abraham had dug were Isaac's as an inheritance, but he didn't occupy the territory; therefore, even though it was his inheritance, by occupation they (the enemy) controlled the wells.

That's happened in America; that's happened all over the world. Those who take occupation of a region or of a soil – they have the power. That's what's happened with the oil.

So what did God begin to do? He did exactly the same thing. He said, "Stop looking to OPEC, stop looking to the Middle East, and wherever." He said, "I'm going to give you a new source of energy; I'm going to give you new resources," and people found it difficult to believe.

They found it difficult to believe because what we do is we focus on that which we are familiar with. I want you to take your eyes off that which you are familiar with.

Don't Give Up; I Hear the Sound of the Abundance of Rain

Elijah must have gotten insecure, and God said, "Elijah, go to Zarephath, and from Zarephath, after you have been fed, I'm going to take you to a mountain and I'm going to give you an abundance." It took diligence on Elijah's part. It took Elijah getting on the mountain and saying to his servant, "I want you to go and look for that little cloud."

The man went once – nothing; then twice.

You know what the problem with us is? We give up too easily because we heard a word and we don't see it manifested.

He said, "Go look," a third time; the man went looking for a cloud somewhere on Mt. Carmel, looking at the sky. They hadn't had rain for three and a half years. He came back again and said, "Nothing." Elijah didn't stop and say, "My God, what's happening?" He said, "Go back, for that which you have never seen shall be seen today."

He didn't attempt to run back to the brook. He didn't attempt to run back to Zarephath. He said, "I want you to look ahead, because there's got to be a cloud in the sky because rain is coming."

You know why? He said, "Because I can hear an abundance of rain."

I hear the sound of an abundance of rain!He didn't say he could hear a little bit. He didn't say he heard a drizzle. He said, "I hear the sound of an abundance of rain."

So he goes a fifth time; he goes a sixth time, then goes back to Elijah and says, "I tried, but nothing. What must I do?" Elijah says, "We've tried six, but I hear the sound of abundance."

How many of you hear the sound of abundance? And yet you've looked and there's nothing. Have you continued, have you pressed in? Have you continued giving and praying? Because that seventh moment is upon us.

That seventh moment is upon many, many businesses all over the world, and many of you watching me that don't have businesses – that moment is upon you now. If I've heard it, you've got to see it before you can get it.

I prophesy to every one of you now that there is a realm of craziness, and there's a word God has for you at this very minute to get this to happen.

If for Jacob, why not us? If He could do it for Jacob, why not us? If He could do it for Isaac, why not us?
You might say, "The New Testament tells us we're supposed to be poor." Who told you that? It says that Jesus became poor that we might become rich in our souls, in our spirits, in our bodies, and in our families, relationships, and our businesses.

We are a people that are going to make a difference in the world today.

There's the word from God. "...and today My word to you is let go and open your eyes, for today I will open doors and bring prosperity to your businesses, to your industry, to your ministry, to your artistry. Today, shake off that which you have held onto, for I open a brand new door for you," says the Lord.

This is what I'm hearing: "There are people that have stepped out before and it hasn't worked, so you're afraid." God says, "Don't fear. Don't fear, because I watched you as you took the step of faith.

Today I'll honor that faith, so take a step out of the boat and say, 'Why not us?! Why not us?! Why not us?! If Moses could prosper, why not us? If David could prosper, why not us?! If Abraham could prosper, why not us? Why not us?! Why not us?!'"
