Aliyah - Up to the Land! - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Aliyah - Up to the Land!
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“I will bring them back from those peoples, gather them from those countries and return them to their own land. Then I will let them feed on the mountains of Isra’el, by the streams and in all the livable places of the land. I will have them feed in good pastures; their grazing ground will be on the high mountains of Isra’el.” (Ezekiel 34:13-14, Complete Jewish Bible)

Jerusalem, Israel

Greetings from the land of the Jews.

For the last three days I have spent much time attending the Aliyah Conference 2018, hosted by GH (purposely used), Founder of Operation Tarshish. This is the third conference (the second was held in Jerusalem in January 2017, the other last October 2017 in West Virginia, USA). Being today is the new annual Aliyah Day in Israel, it was important to have this conference occur during this time, in this month, around this day. In Jerusalem.

In fact, the 80 plus attendees met with the Knesset member in the Knesset government building this afternoon, who was very instrumental in getting this day on the national calendar. We wanted him to especially know that we are also participating, by specifically honoring this national day, alongside them. With our attendance, believers in the Land and Christian Zionists throughout the nations, we gave sincere and committed demonstration of our standing with them. We who are already, and want to even more, assist Jews in returning to their Land - we came now to help them come soon.

Daily we have heard speakers from the Israel government, ministries on the front lines, and those working behind the scenes to accomplish this major heart of the Lord. Christians and Jews working together. Our God’s amazing act, in bringing His people back to the Land, again proves the ongoing fulfillment of an abundance of biblical prophecies. These are occurring right before our eyes. Now more than six million Jews reside in Israel, with their numbers growing by the thousands monthly through aliyah alone (immigration from other countries).

I have recorded several videos that you can view on our YouTube channel from the conference (plus some others of my time here in Jerusalem.) They are part of the "Jerusalem October 2018" video set I have placed there. (Click here: Jerusalem October 2018).

In these end times, this aliyah of the Jews coming back to Israel since its statehood declaration in 1948, after 2000 years of living in the far off nations, is a great miracle in our time. As the prophets spoke through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in ancient times, the Lord God of Israel is keeping His eternal word. The Jews are reclaiming their promised Land.

These words delivered by the prophet Zechariah are just a few of those many spoken and written words coming true today.

7 "Thus says the Lord of hosts:
'Behold, I will save My people from the land of the east
And from the land of the west;

8 I will bring them back,
And they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.
They shall be My people
And I will be their God,
In truth and righteousness.'

9 "Thus says the Lord of hosts:
'Let your hands be strong,
You who have been hearing in these days
These words by the mouth of the prophets,
Who spoke in the day the foundation was laid
For the house of the Lord of hosts,
That the temple might be built.

10 For before these days
There were no wages for man nor any hire for beast;
There was no peace from the enemy for whoever went out or came in;
For I set all men, everyone, against his neighbor.

11 But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,' says the Lord of hosts.

12 'For the seed shall be prosperous,
The vine shall give its fruit,
The ground shall give her increase,
And the heavens shall give their dew —
I will cause the remnant of this people
To possess all these.

13 And it shall come to pass
That just as you were a curse among the nations,
O house of Judah and house of Israel,
So I will save you, and you shall be a blessing.
Do not fear,
Let your hands be strong.'

14 "For thus says the Lord of hosts:
'Just as I determined to punish you
When your fathers provoked Me to wrath,'
Says the Lord of hosts,
'And I would not relent,

15 So again in these days
I am determined to do good
To Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.
Do not fear.”
(Zechariah 8:7-15, NKJV)

May your heart for the Jewish people grow stronger while partnering with the living God of Israel, the Lord Yeshua, in the fantastic work He is doing. He is fulfilling His promises!

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

Death Penalty for Terrorists Sparks Fierce Debate in Israel - Israel Today

Death Penalty for Terrorists Sparks Fierce Debate in Israel

Thursday, January 04, 2018 |  Israel Today Staff
Israel's Knesset on Wednesday voted 52-49 in favor of a bill that would enable both military and state courts to sentence convicted terrorists to death.
Technically, Israeli courts can already sentence convicts to death, but only via the unanimous decision of multiple judges. Such a sentence has not been handed down since Israel executed Nazi Holocaust frontman Adolf Eichmann in 1962.
The new bill would enable courts to hand down the death penalty with just a simple majority decision.
The bill must still pass several more readings before it becomes law.
The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) is urging members of Knesset to vote against the law, warning that use of the death penalty could encourage a new wave of kidnappings of Israeli and foreign Jews by Palestinian terrorists.
Israel's security chiefs fear that convicting terrorists to death would spark concerted efforts to abduct Jews either here or abroad to force the convicted terrorist's release before his execution.
Similar warnings from the Shin Bet have resulted in past death penalty proposals being defeated in the Knesset.
Another point of concern is that the same death penalty law could be used against Jewish terrorists.
In fact, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a member of the party pushing the death penalty bill (Yisrael Beiteinu) said it most certainly would apply in the rare case of Jewish terrorism.
Trying to trap Netanyahu, who is supporting the bill, firebrand Arab MK Ahmad Tibi asked if the death penalty would be doled out to those like the Jewish extremist who firebombed a Palestinian home in 2015, killing a baby and his parents.
Netanyahu responded: "Yes."
Yisrael Beiteinu MK Robert Ilatov was similarly asked if the Jewish extremist who brutally murdered Palestinian teenager Mohammed Abu Khdeir in 2014 deserved the death penalty.
Ilatov stated unequivocally: "A terrorist is a terrorist."

Knesset Passes Bill Making It Nearly Impossible to Ever Divide Jerusalem - Israel Today

Knesset Passes Bill Making It Nearly Impossible to Ever Divide Jerusalem

Tuesday, January 02, 2018 |  Israel Today Staff
In the predawn hours of Tuesday morning, following a succession of impassioned speeches both for and against, Israel's Knesset finally voted on and passed the "United Jerusalem Bill."
The bill is an amendment to the Jerusalem Law passed in 1980, when Israel officially declared the entirety of Jerusalem to be its undivided capital.
This new legislation requires a three-fourths majority of 80 members of Knesset to ever alter the status of Jerusalem or surrender portions of the Holy City as part of a future peace agreement.
Corralling a two-thirds majority for anything in the Israel Knesset is next to impossible, as evidenced by the vote on this very bill.
Sixty-four MKs voted in favor of the bill, 51 voted against and one abstained, despite the fact that the vast majority of Israeli Jews (including members of Knesset) insist that Jerusalem must never again be divided.
The bill's author, Education Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) was perfectly aware of what he had done.
"Just now we ensured that Jerusalem will be united forever. We initiated the law that guards Jerusalem so that it cannot be divided without a huge majority of 80 MKs," Bennett wrote on Facebook.
"The Mount of Olives, the Old City, the Temple Mount and the City of David will remain in our hands forever. There will be no more political maneuvers that will allow to tear our capital apart. This is also Israel's response to the shameful United Nations vote against Jerusalem. A holiday for Israel!" he continued.
Minister Ze'ev Elkin (Likud) echoed the sentiment on Twitter:
"I congratulate the Knesset on the approval by a large majority of the amendment to the Basic Law: Jerusalem, which strengthens the defensive wall against those on the left who may try to harm Israeli sovereignty in united Jerusalem in the future."

Be an Ambassador for Jerusalem - the City of Peace - MK Yehuda Glick and Israel365

Jerusalem of Peace Logo
Dear Friend,

I'm happy to share with you - as a signatory to the Jerusalem Covenant - this newsletter update of our efforts in the Knesset for “Jerusalem of Peace”.  This is the title I've given my Knesset chambers, instead of the standard "MK Yehudah Glick," because  I wanted the name of my office to express what I've been striving for - Jerusalem of Peace.

Since joining the Knesset, we've continued to work tirelessly to increase awareness and visitors to the Temple Mount and are grateful the Temple Mount had a record-breaking number of Jewish visitors over Passover and on Jerusalem Day. Please see the article below.

We just celebrated the 50th anniversary of Israel’s miraculous victory in the Six-Day War when those famous words - “The Temple Mount is in our hands!" - were shouted for the entire world to hear. Unfortunately, the reality of those words is not yet manifest. Only Muslims have full freedom to pray at the holiest site in the world. My goal is to continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the Temple Mount is open for worship to all peace-loving people in the world.

In honor of the the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem's re-unification and to show your love and dedication for Jerusalem, please help connect as many as possible to the Biblical city of Peace.

Please Copy and Paste this Link: Sign the Jerusalem Covenant

And share it broadly - on Social Media and through email.

Please send this link to all of your like-minded friends and encourage them to sign the Jerusalem Covenant and share it with others. Together we can to combat the powerful forces working against Jerusalem and Israel today.

With a prayer for the peace of Jerusalem,

Member of Knesset Yehudah Glick
