Did you know that Dead Sea Salt is now edible? Here is an Israeli Breakfast Receipe.

Israeli breakfast. Gotta have some soon.
Did you know that Dead Sea Salt is now edible?
Vulcan Shakshuka with Dead Sea salt recipe:

Shakshuka is a brunch dish much loved in Israel. Brought over by immigrants from North Africa, classic shakshuka originated as spicy stewed tomatoes topped with eggs. In Israel, shakshuka has come to mean any number of vegetables or other things cooked in a pan, so long as the eggs remain on top -- anything from spinach to eggplant to Feta cheese stewed in tomatoes, or even in a cream sauce. Nearly every self-respecting cafe serves some variation of shakshuka, generally presenting it in a sizzling, personal-sized frying pan with good bread to sop up the sauce.
Shakshuka hinges on proper tomatoes. While the dish is often made with fresh tomatoes, this recipe calls for canned because good, fresh, ripe tomatoes are likely to be out of season for many readers. Dead Sea salt's Vulcan blend, with its mix of red and black pepper, adds a vibrant heat to this piquant dish.
Serves 2-4:
1 medium onion
1 medium red bell pepper
4-6 fat garlic cloves
2 tablespoons oil
28-ounce (800-gram) can of diced tomatoes (or an equal amount of fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes)
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon Vulcan NakedSea salt
4 eggs
chopped fresh parsley and extra Pinfire Dead Sea salt for garnish
good bread for sopping up the sauce and egg yolks
Slice the onion and bell pepper into thin strips, and crush the garlic. On a medium flame, heat the oil in a frying pan - cast iron is great, but Teflon is also fine - and add the onions, pepper and garlic. Fry, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables soften and the onions become slightly translucent.
Add the tomatoes and their juices into the pan, along with the cumin and the Pinfire salt. Stir, cover with a lid, and lower the flame to medium-low. Let simmer until the tomatoes are soft. Stir occasionally and check to make sure that all the liquid hasn't boiled off. Add up to 1/2 cup water to the tomatoes and stir, so that they have the consistency of a thick sauce.
Arrange the sauce into a more or less even layer in the pan. Separate the eggs into whites and yolks. Pour the egg whites on top of the tomato sauce, and cover the pan with a lid. Let simmer until the whites are more or less set. Arrange the yolks on top, being careful not to break them. Cover again and let sit for about 30 seconds, until the yolks just start to take on a more opaque sheen (alternately, cook longer or don't bother to separate the eggs if you don't want the yolks to be liquid). Remove the lid immediately.
Remove from the flame. Sprinkle finely chopped fresh parsley and an extra few pinches of Pinfire salt on top to garnish. Serve alongside good fresh bread.

“The Auschwitz Escape” - New Book by Joel Rosenberg

“The Auschwitz Escape” releases nationwide today. Reflections on how I discovered the true stories that inspired the novel.

by joelcrosenberg
AuschwitzEscape-ad
In November of 2011, I decided to go to visit the Auschwitz death camp in Poland. I’d never been there before. I didn’t really even want to go. But I knew I had to. So I invited several friends -- a pastor from the U.S. and his wife, and a pastor from Germany and his wife. Unfortunately, my wife, Lynn, wasn’t able to join me. But the trip had a profound effect on me.
It was a surreal and sobering experience to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. It’s hard to describe the emotions of standing in an actual gas chamber where people were murdered, seeing the ovens where bodies were burned, walking through the cell blocks, seeing the guard towers and barbed wire and train tracks. It was haunting to realize that more than one million people were systematically murdered there, and most of them were Jews.
While I was there, I purchased a book that explained that there had been many escape attempts from Auschwitz, but only a handful of successful escapes. I was stunned. We had hired a special guide to take us through the camp. He was a really bright, educated man. He had been an excellent guide, and we had learned so much. But he hadn’t mentioned anything about escapes. I had never heard about any escapes. But this book gave a brief description of several of them.
Intrigued, as soon as I got home, I started tracking down any resource I could about these men who had risked everything to get out. How had they succeeded? What was their plan? Who helped them? What did they do when they got out? Did they tell anyone in the Jewish community, or among the Allies, what they had seen, what the Nazis were doing at Auschwitz? The more I learned, the more intrigued I became. It turned out there were several non-fiction books written by several of the men who escaped, and several about them. There were even several novels on the subject. But they were old. Some were out of print. If they once had been discussed – I’m sure they were – but they seemed long forgotten.
As I continued to do my research, I realized that April 7th, 2014 would be the 70thanniversary of the greatest escape in human history – the day Rudolf Vrba and Fred Wetzler escaped from the worst of the Nazi death camps. That’s when I began thinking about writing a novel inspired by these true stories that might draw attention back to the greatest escape in human history by men determined to tell the world the truth about what Adolf Hitler was really doing to the Jews. If I could finish it and release it by the spring of 2014, I thought I might be able help people remember these incredible stories of courage and heroism and faith.
Without question, The Auschwitz Escape was by far the most emotionally exhausting book I’ve ever written. By that I mean I had to immerse myself in the history of the Holocaust – books, documentary films, web sites, museums, research centers, conversations with survivors, conversations with experts, and so forth. And the history is more horrific that you can possibly imagine. Even when you think you understand what happened back then, you uncover more darkness, more evil. My wife and kids could see the effect it was having on me. I could see it, as well.
I knew the story needed hope. Yes, the fact that men escape from this unimaginably cruel extermination camp provides hope. They live. They survive. They tell others. Absolutely. But it wasn’t enough. For me, as an evangelical Christian with Jewish roots on my father’s side, I wanted to find out if any Christians did the right thing to help the Jews. Intellectually, I knew the answer was yes, there were Christians who had done the right thing. But I also knew that far too many people who said they loved Jesus refused to obey Him, refused to love their neighbors during the darkest period in the history of the Jewish people. Some were too scared. Some lost their faith. Some never had any faith at all, they were just giving lip service to the Gospel. It breaks my heart, but tragically it is true. Far too many so-called “Christians” failed the Jewish people when they needed us most.
That’s when I stumbled upon the story of Le Chambon and the pastors of this little Protestant village in France who risked their lives to save thousands of Jews fleeing from Hitler and the Nazis. The more I read, the more I knew this was the story of hope I needed to weave into the novel. And I think it’s the combination of the two stories – the story of a German Jewish teenage boy whose family is nearly wiped out and is sent to Auschwitz, and that a young Frenchman who is a husband and a father and an assistant pastor in Le Chambon, both fictional, but both inspired by true stories – it’s the fusion, the combination of these two story lines, that makes The Auschwitz Escape storyline work for me.
Soon, I got fascinated in who these young men were, how they get sent to Auschwitz, how they met, how different they are, and how they get involved in these escapes. This is what gave me hope, even excitement, if I can use that term, to write every day – trying to understand them and going on this hero’s journey with them both not entirely knowing how the story would wind up when I began.
In addition to going to Auschwitz, and reading everything I could get my hands on, I also traveled to Israel and visited Yad Vashem, the Israeli Holocaust museum and research center. They were very gracious and allowed me to come twice, meet with several of their scholars, ask them many questions, tour their facilities, and try to make sure my work of historical fiction was as accurate as I could possibly make it. Several of the scholars actually knew some of the men who had escaped, had interviewed them, had long discussions with them, and their insights were so helpful.
They also took me down into their vaults and showed me copies of “The Auschwitz Protocol,” the document that was compiled by eyewitness accounts from Rudolf Vrba, Alfred (Fred) Wetzler, Arnost Rosin, and Czeslaw Mordowicz, the four Jewish heroes who risked their lives to tell the world the truth about what the Nazis were really up to. Too few people know these four men’s names, but I hope that will change. The Yad Vashem scholars helped me better understand who they were, and what they wrote, and I hope you take time to understand them, too. It was absolutely fascinating, and I’m deeply grateful for their help.
The novel releases nationwide today. I look forward to your comments -- which you can post on our "Epicenter Team" page on Facebook -- and your questions!

Sharing Love From Sweden - "God - A Daddy Who Loves" by Eva Haglund

March 17, 2014

Shalom Steve!

I love to read at " Love For His People" every day. I like many things you write! I also like when you have nice photos and it is funny to read when you joke, for instance with the animals.

Here in Sweden it was snowing today but some do not think it will last. I will read in one of your books today! They seems to be very good!

Blessings!
Eva

GOD - A DADDY WHO LOVES

God is not a hard God with a hard heart. If you see a person who has much love for his child you can think about how God is.  God has much love towards people.

When you did not know Him - He loved you. If you have not yet received Jesus, He loves you. He even loved you when you were not born, yet in your mothers womb. Ps.139 :13-16.

We can see in this Psalm that He cares so much about you so He takes you wherever you are. You cannot hide from His caring love. He CARES. God is a good heavenly dad!

He is a God who IS love. He was a Daddy who created us because He loved us.

We are no coincidence. He made us for a purpose.

If we think we are not precious, He says that we are precious. For our heavenly Daddy we are of more worth than all silver and gold in the world. We are more precious to Him than all things He has created . We are more precious for Him than all diamonds in the world. You mean much more for Him than all stars in heaven. As God He can count all stars on heaven. He can count all the people - He knows all and loves all personally. He loves you!

As He counts all stars and knows them all by name- He knows your name.

He cares so much of you so He counts every hair. If He counts your hair it means that He really cares in all your life. You are so PRECIOUS for Him so He also cares to count all of your hairs! So is our heavenly Daddy's heart.

As we read in the parables we see a son who went away from his daddy who loved him. He went his own way but  the daddy was longing for him to return. Daddy loves anyone who does not know Him - and wants He or she to come to Him.

We can read that Jesus is looking for the sheep who are astray and loves them. He shows Daddy's heart - because if we know Jesus - we know our heavenly Daddy. He is not a hard Daddy as fathers on earth can be sometimes. He is the perfect Daddy with love and compassion. The son who went away thought when he returned to his daddy that  he was not worthy to be called his son   but the daddy showed his heart to him. He was running to him, and then embracing him- showing that he was a daddy who has been longing for him to come and who loved him so much!

He wanted to have a party because he was so glad  that he has come back to him. This story shows how God is. A daddy will full of love and compassion who loves the son and waits for him to come to him and when he has come back have a heart full of love, too. Luke.15:11-32 says Our heavenly  Daddy is very glad when anybody is saved. Jesus is the way. We could not be righteous by ourselves.

We could not be perfect and win salvation by our own works. We needed God and receive what His Son did for us.  "He was led as a lamb to the slaughter."  Isaiah.53:7

In  Isaiah 53:6 the Word say that ALL have gone astray- there were NO perfect man- but it is written in Isaiah.53:5 that " He was wounded for our transgressions."  Our heavenly Daddy's heart was full of compassion and love and His heart was crushed for us. He knew when Adam and Eve fell in sin, but wanted to do everything to save His sons and daughters.

He sent the most precious gift He had. He sent His own son - as He loved so much.

Our heavenly Daddy loved us so much. He sent his Son to do everything for us - showing us the heart of God as Daddy. As Jesus is, so is He.

Jesus was a King in love -  willing to suffer. He did it by His free will because of His love.

He was a leader who was willing to give everything for the sheep. He was willing to suffer the strongest suffering because of His love to them. Daddy gave everything! He gave his Son! Salvation is in Jesus' name!

In Rom.8:15 we can read that God wants learn to know him in a relation we do not have to have  fear - in a spirit of adoption where we can shout : Abba- daddy!

We are saved by grace in Jesus' name. We can have peace with God. God loves you!
Luke 15:11-32. Isaiah 53.

Eva Haglund.

PRECIOUS

People trampled you under their feet,
Words were like arrows.
Daddy opened His arms and said,
"Come to me.
I love you so much!
I count every hair.
I hear all your words.
I love to hear your voice.
I see you when you wake up!"

He gives you a big hug,
Holding you close, saying:
"You are my precious child.
You are my favorite.
I do not cast stones on you."

The arrows were not from his heart!
He gave  ALL  He had for you!
He gave His Son!
You are His golden treasure.

Ps.139, Song of Solomon. 2:14.

 Eva Haglund

How to Break Free From Sexual Bondage by KIMBERLY L. RAY (SpiritLed Woman)

Kimberly L. Ray

How to Break Free From Sexual Bondage

One day the Lord spoke to me and said that one of the greatest problems the people of God are encountering is that the door to the imagination has remained open. God spent a lot of time in His Word warning us about the things we allow ourselves to see. That’s because our eye gates open the windows to our souls. We connect directly with the things we observe with our eyes.
The Bible tells us, “The light of the body is the eye; if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be full of evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee is darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matt. 6:22-23).
Everyday we decide what we will entertain. There are those who have a made-up mind to live holy and acceptable unto the Lord. They make a concerted effort to consistently keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord. But there are others who live to satisfy their flesh, seeking their own pleasure. They may be Christians, but they are following a soulish path and are fulfilling the desires of the flesh rather than the will of God.
The soul is comprised of the mind, the will, and the emotions. The Bible tells us, “They that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Rom. 8:5-6). Notice that the verse says those who are after the flesh “do mind the things of the flesh.” What we dwell on will lead us either to death or to life and peace.
Our greatest battle is in the mind! The mind is quite unique because it stores information and recalls it like a computer. This is one reason it is so important to screen the things you see and hear. Entertaining the soulish realm with constant lustful images opens the door to demonic activity and fleshly battles.
There are many carnally minded Christians. To be carnal means to be led by the appetites of the unsanctified, materialistic flesh. There are many Christians whose flesh is stronger than their spirits.
These individuals usually walk in compromise as well. Compromise is a silent endorsement of the world’s ways and a consent to walk according to its standards. After giving in to compromise for so long, eventually love for the world will dominate the spirit and outweigh love for the Father.
Second Corinthians 10:4-5 tells is, “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds’) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” The Lord wants us to rise up and take authority over the flesh!
We can pull down every stronghold by applying the powerful shed blood of Jesus to our minds and thoughts. We can bind the work of the enemy in our thought life (Matt. 18:18), and we can overcome the works of the flesh by bringing the flesh into subjection to the Spirit.
The apostle Paul wrote, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be ye not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” (Rom. 12:1-2).
Dying to self is not easy, and it may require times of fasting and prayer. Fasting humbles the soul and brings the flesh into subjection to the spirit. When we fast, we deny the flesh and feed the spirit. Self-denial strengthens the Spirit of Christ within us, deepens our walk with the Lord, and empowers our prayer life.
Whatever you feed the most will grow. If you feed the spirit with prayer and Bible study, it will flourish. But if you spend more time feeding the flesh and the carnal sin nature, the flesh will dominate.
Many people have found themselves in sexual bondage because they feed their flesh with pornographic images. The spirit of lust uses pornography to create an intense sexual desire or appetite. The spirit of lasciviousness creates an insatiable desire to satisfy those lewd and lustful desires. This is how viewing porn becomes addictive. After seeing a little, people are driven to see more until they feel unable to stop.
Sexual bondage can be broken in the name of Jesus. In my book I have included a prayer for those making intercession on another’s behalf, as well as a prayer for the individual in crisis. We can pray for others and God will answer, but in order to remain free, the individual must abandon the activity that opened the door to the enemy.
Nothing is hopeless. We serve an all-powerful God, and He can do the impossible. We can learn to pray for ourselves and be set free by the power of Christ, and we can also stage an intervention—a spiritual intervention—and bombard heaven for those in trouble.Spiritual-intervention

Prayer Power for the Week of 03/17/14
This week, make up your mind to consistently keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Ask the Lord to help you screen the things you see and hear, and direct you into the discipline of fasting so that your flesh can be subject to your spirit which is subject to Christ, your walk in the Lord can be deepened and your prayers more empowered.
Thank Him that nothing is hopeless or impossible with Him. Continue to pray for revival to ignite in our churches, across the nation and around the world. Pray that our leaders would seek and heed God’s direction and wisdom. Pray for those persecuted for His Name’s sake, the peace of Jerusalem, those suffering great losses as a result of recent weather conditions, the families of those missing in the Malaysian aircraft, our military and their families. Ask the Lord to show you how you can pray and be a blessing to those in need (2 Cor. 10:4-5; Matt. 18:18; Ps. 122:6).

Jews love Jerusalem more than we do, Islamic Jihad head complains in Iran - THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

Jews love Jerusalem
more than we do,
Islamic Jihad head
complains in Iran

Hailing Israeli attachment to holy city, terror chief at clerical conference quotes in Hebrew from Naomi Shemer’s inspirational ‘Jerusalem of Gold’

BY TIMES OF ISRAEL STAFF March 17, 2014

Jewish love for Jerusalem drew unexpected praise from the head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror organization, who told religious leaders in Tehran that the Jews show their love for the city more than Muslims do, and quoted in Hebrew from an inspirational Israeli ballad to prove the point.

Addressing a clerical conference in the Iranian capital, Ramadan Shalah lamented that Palestinians and other Muslims showed insufficient love for Al-Quds, the Arabic name for Jerusalem, according to a recording obtained Monday by Israel’s Army Radio.

Shalah contrasted the inadequate Palestinian and Muslim love of the holy city with the heartfelt attachment of the Jews, and — speaking in Hebrew and Arabic — quoted the famous Israeli ballad “Jerusalem of Gold,” penned by Zionist songstress Naomi Shemer.

“What is the meaning of Jerusalem for us?” Shalah, who leads one of the most extreme terror groups in the world and is on the FBI’s most-wanted terrorists list, asked the assembled clergy last week. “Learn from the Jews, from that accursed entity [Israel]. They love Jerusalem not just as a military matter, but as a cultural one,” he declared.

“They have a song in the Israeli entity that their army sings on June 7, when they conquered the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Haram al-Sharif [the Temple Mount, in the 1967 Six Day War],” he added, and went on to quote part of the chorus of “Jerusalem of Gold.”

“Jerusalem of gold. Jerusalem of bronze. Jerusalem of light,” he chanted, saying each phrase in both Hebrew and Arabic.

“Every Israeli child and every accursed Israeli soldier says this song in their heart,” Shalah told the crowd.

The ballad, one of the most popular Hebrew songs ever, was composed for a music festival in Jerusalem that was part of the May 1967 Independence Day celebrations. The song employs ancient references, including from the Book of Lamentations and the Mishnah, to lament that Judaism’s holiest places – especially the Temple Mount – were closed to Jews by the Jordanian authorities who controlled the eastern half of the city at the time.

The song begins by describing a desolate Jerusalem, with a “wall” in her heart, a reference to the border wall dividing the Israeli and Jordanian parts of the city.

Within weeks of the song’s publication to widespread acclaim, the Six Day War broke out and Israeli forces were able to capture Jerusalem’s ancient Old City, leading Shemer to write a fourth, triumphant stanza that begins, “We returned to the water cisterns, the marketplace and the square / A ram’s horn blows at the Temple Mount in the ancient city.”

Islamic Jihad, which Salah heads, last week slammed southern Israel with a barrage of over 60 rockets, drawing Israeli airstrikes and leading to the largest flare up of violence between Gaza and Israel in over a year.

The group is considered to be one of Hamas’s largest rivals for control of the Strip and enjoys close ties with Iran.
