U.S. Christian Groups Support Muslim Refugees, Ignore Persecuted Christians - by Raymond Ibrahim

U.S. Christian Groups Support Muslim Refugees, Ignore Persecuted Christians

According to recently released figures from the State Dept., the United States has let in a miniscule number of Christian refugees from Syria — only 34 — during the four years since the Islamic State began its campaign of mass slaughter.  Put differently, although Christians amount for 10 percent of Syria’s population—and so should at least be 10 percent of the refugees accepted into the States—only two percent of those accepted are Christians.
This disparity is being ignored by influential U.S. Christian groups.  The Church World Service (CWS) and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops have both called for the resettlement of 100,000 Syrian refugees in the United States next year.   Yet advocacy for especially persecuted Christians is lacking among these U.S. Christian organizations.
The CWS, for example, does not even mention the special plight of Christians on its website’s call to help Syrian refugees; it primarily features pictures of Muslims. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops — which touts itself as the world’s largest refugee resettlement organization and even received $80 million from the federal government in 2014 for its Migration Fund — also often fails to mention Christians in its public advocacy for the resettlement of Syrian refugees.
Refugee Resettlement Watch charges that “The Bishops [of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops] surely are not telling local priests and parishioners that they are raking in millions of dollars of cold hard cash from federal taxpayers for refugee resettlement activities.  And, they aren’t telling them that they are NOT advocating to save the persecuted Christians of Syria through this program” (emphasis in original).
When the Catholic hierarchy does mention persecuted Christians, they are often lumped in with every other group, including Muslim majorities.   This approach begins with Pope Francis.  Last September, when he stood before the world at the United Nations, his energy was, once again, spent on defending the environment.  In his entire speech, which lasted nearly 50 minutes, only once did Francis make reference to persecuted Christians—and he merged their sufferings in the same sentence with the supposedly equal sufferings of “members of the majority religion,” that is, Sunni Muslims (the only group not to be attacked by the Islamic State, a Sunni organization).  Said Francis:
I must renew my repeated appeals regarding to the painful situation of the entire Middle East, North Africa and other African countries, where Christians, together with other cultural or ethnic groups, and even members of the majority religion who have no desire to be caught up in hatred and folly, have been forced to witness the destruction of their places of worship, their cultural and religious heritage, their houses and property, and have faced the alternative either of fleeing or of paying for their adhesion to good and to peace by their own lives, or by enslavement.
In the real world, however, “members of the majority religion”—Sunnis—are not being slaughtered, beheaded, and raped for refusing to renounce their faith; are not having their mosques bombed and burned; are not being jailed or killed for apostasy, blasphemy, or proselytization.  Quite the contrary, “members of the majority religion” are responsible for committing dozens of atrocities against Christian minorities every single month all throughout the Islamic world.
From a strictly humanitarian point of view, then—and humanitarianism is the chief reason being cited in accepting refugees—far from being lumped in with “members of the majority religion,” Christians should receive top priority simply because they are the most persecuted group, as repeated studies have shown.
At the hands of the Islamic State and in Syria alone, Christians have been repeatedly forced to renounce Christ or die; they have been enslaved and sold on sex slave markets; they have hadmore than 400 of their churches desecrated and destroyed.
If Christian minorities are true refugees, most Muslims are to a large extent economic migrants not fleeing real persecution but arriving from safe locales such as Turkey.  Moreover, roughly 97-98 percent of those being accepted as refugees into the U.S. are Sunni Muslims—the same sect that ISIS, which supposedly precipitated the refugee crisis, belongs to.  And many of them, unsurprisingly, share the same vision of relentless jihad on the infidel—such as the “refugees” who murdered some 120 people in France, or the “refugees” who persecute Christian minorities in European camps and slaughter them in their beds, or the “refugees” who drown Christian migrants in the sea, or the ISIS-affiliated Sunni jihads who massacred over a dozen Americans at a Christmas party in San Bernardino.
In short, the refugee resettlement system egregiously discriminates against those who are most deserving of sanctuary and refugee status.  Yet little is said or done by pro-resettlement U.S. Christian groups to address, much less correct, this problem.
If influential Christian organizations are ignoring the discrimination against or at least indifference to Christian refugees, the Obama administration’s policies should not be surprising.  Aside from the fact that 98 percent of refugees being accepted into the U.S. are Sunni Muslims and only two percent are Christian—a skewed ratio based on Syria’s demographics—consider:
Days before the disparity against Christian refugees was revealed, President Obama lashed out against the idea of giving preference to Christian refugees, describing it as “shameful”: “That’s not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion,” loftily admonished the president—even as the exact opposite was occurring: Muslims were getting every preference over Christians.
Such open hypocrisy can stand when influential Christian groups—they who are most responsible for speaking up for savagely persecuted Christian minorities—engage in it themselves.

Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7
Each year, a group of respected prophets from around the nation meets to seek the Lord's will for the upcoming season. There are keys to our success as well as admonitions for us in the word of the Lord for the year that we need to pay heed to – not only on a personal level, but also on a corporate level.
Although we label these words from the Lord with each calendar year, it is important to understand that God exists outside of man's time. He works according to seasons, and we will often see a word for the "year" corresponding with both the Hebrew and Greco-Roman calendars. We will also frequently see a certain theme or concept carry over from one year to the next as the Lord continues to carry out His plan.

Along with timing, it is key to understand the role we play as workers in God's Kingdom to see prophecy come to pass. Without understanding that prophecy requires action on our part, we might become upset when a prophetic word seems unfulfilled.
Disappointment can stir up questions like, "Did I hear God?" or, "Did I miss what God was trying to say?" We may even become jaded and confused, wondering if prophecy is real today.
Prophecy is a road map that gives us strategic information, but it is not the same as the concept of fate. For those who believe in fate, they feel the future cannot be changed or altered; life is what it is, and nothing can be done about it.
As Believers, we know God has given us a free will. We are responsible for making choices, and Scripture gives us the guidelines we need to follow in order to be blessed. While God does foreknow the end from the beginning, we still have to choose.
Without the ability to partner with God to shift things, what would be the purpose of prayer?
ElijahList Prophetic Resources
Contending for the Promise
Often, we are given a prophetic word so we can contend to see the prophecy fulfilled. It is important to remember the enemy does not want you to reap the benefits of the promises of God, so spiritual warfare may be needed.
Though our prayers are immediately answered by the Lord in the spiritual realm, it takes persistent prayer for those answers to manifest in the physical realm.
The word gives us hope to stand and believe in the midst of adverse circumstances.
This reminds me of the story of Daniel. After praying and fasting for Israel to be freed from Babylon, the archangel Michael finally arrived. He told Daniel that God heard his prayers right away, but a principality – who was the ruling power of darkness over the region – held him back for 21 days.
Though Daniel's prayers were heard and acted upon instantly, it was his prayers of perseverance that allowed the archangel to ultimately break through!
(Photo by Jennifer Page "Warrior Angel" via elijahshopper.com)

What if Daniel had become frustrated before his breakthrough and given up? He would have never seen God's plan fulfilled.
We must play an active role in seeing God's prophetic word manifest in our lives.
How to Stay Hopeful
While believing for the word of the Lord to come to pass in your life, allow the promises of God to give you hope and sustain you. Don't allow the enemy to sow seeds of discouragement while waiting for the fulfillment!
As you begin to hear the word of the Lord for the year, let's take a look at how to strategically respond to it:
1. Read through the entire word and take notes. Are there any points that the Holy Spirit is amplifying to you? By this I mean, is there a resonance in your heart given by God to pay attention in a special way to a particular portion?
2. Use the word to take stock of your life. Are there any points that are admonitions to make an adjustment? (For example, if the prophecy says this is the year to "see the door," are you actively praying for God to show you the doors He wants you to walk through? This might be related to a transition in jobs, churches, or even a geographic move.) Seek God about any changes He might be asking you to make.
3. Write decrees for yourself and your family from the Word of the Lord. As you hear God speak about what He wants to do or release, make the words personal and decree them over yourself, your family, and even your city. This helps your heart maintain a posture of faith, even when the spiritual battles intensify.
Be Encouraged!
Though we must prayerfully battle for the future God has for us, He has given us the tools we need to grab hold of His promises and enjoy them in our lives. We already have victory in Jesus' name! It will be rewarding to look back over the way God has strategically used the current word of the Lord in your life when the calendar turns in 12 months. Believe His words for yourself and your loved ones, and you will see God do incredible things in your lives this year!

Donald Trump and Mike Huckabee: A Match Made In Heaven? - David Brody CBN News

Donald Trump and Mike Huckabee: A Match Made In Heaven?

01-28-2016

CBN News
The Brody File first broke that news that Mike Huckabee WILL appear with Donald Trump at his event tonight in Des Moines. He’ll do the undercard debate on Fox News and then head over to the Trump rally, which is about 10 minutes away from the debate site.
It makes perfect sense for Huckabee to do this.  First of all, he actually likes Trump and gets along well with him. Plus, he’s not enamored with Cruz at all. Just watch my latest interview with him here on The Brody File blog where he rips Cruz on his multiple positions on multiple issues.
If things don’t work out for Huckabee in this run for the presidency, he’d make a logical choice for VP. Why? He has executive leadership experience in government (former Arkansas Governor); he would play well with evangelicals who may be skeptical of Trump; he’s actually pretty popular with African-American voters in the south (just look at his poll numbers when he was governor of Arkansas); and finally, he’d be the perfect VP candidate to go after Hillary Clinton. Why? He took on the Clinton political machine in Arkansas and won (look it up) and the VP candidate is usually the traditional attack dog. Well, Huckabee attacks with a smile and humor, which is the perfect way to take on Clinton. And he’ll soften up Trump to a degree as well.  Hmmm…could be interesting.

We celebrate life. It comes from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Religious Freedom Victory Has These Girls Turning Cartwheels

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Three cheers for the First Amendment, at least for the cheerleaders at a Texas high school.
A judge ruled this week that the Kountze Independent School district is "not required to prohibit messages on school banners . . . that display fleeting expressions of community sentiment solely because the source or origin of such message is religious."
The battle between the school district and the cheerleaders began in August 2012, with appeals going back and forth for years.
"We're just all Christians and believe the Bible is from God and so if it's from God, why not?" one cheerleader said at the time. "That's what we were thinking and it's a positive message and it's uplifting."
The girls were represented by the Liberty Institute.
"This is an 8-0 victory for the free speech and religious liberty rights of all Texas students," says Kelly Shackelford, President and CEO of Liberty Institute. "We are delighted that the court considered this case so straightforward that it did not even require oral argument." The battle is not yet over, though.
"In light of today's Supreme Court ruling, we look forward to defending the Kountze cheerleaders at the Court of Appeals and resolving this case permanently in the cheerleaders' favor."
Texas Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman filed a concurring opinion, highlighting the precedent this case sets for religious freedom in schools.
Liberty Institute attorney Hiram Sasser says, "There is a great challenge in courts to students who express religious beliefs in schools."
"School officials are engaging in unlawful censorship of student speech and they need to be held accountable. We agree this is a serious problem. This case is a prime example for courts to help resolve that issue in favor of religious speech," Sasser says.

Little T-Rex. He will be a warrior. - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Little T-Rex.
He will be a warrior.
.

Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“My heart is stirred by a noble theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is the pen of an expert scribe. You are the most handsome of men; gracious speech flows from your lips. For God has blessed you forever. Warrior, strap your sword at your thigh; [gird on] your splendor and majesty. In your majesty, succeed, ride on in the cause of truth, meekness and righteousness. May your right hand teach you awesome things.” Psalms 45:2-5 Complete Jewish Bible

Hannah Elizabeth was expecting her first born. The excitement was shared by her whole family, including us, her Dad and Mom. Even as a young girl Hannah loved children. At one point I thought she would have her own daycare business, and I had suggested that to her in her early 20’s. She had a heart for kids.

In her third year of marriage Hannah was with child. It was confirmed on her visit to the doctor, and the countdown to birth began. Was this unborn a boy or a girl? Black hair, like father Jonathan, or blonde hair like mom. And would this little one have all ten fingers and ten toes? You know, the usual questions anticipated and quietly asked.

Into her first six weeks or thereabouts (Grandpas generally don’t keep track of those things, at least this one doesn’t), with today’s medical advancements, the sonograms started. Amazing what life we can see even at this developing stage of the unborn. Oh how our God is so good!

Even from the moment of conception, He was forming another good creation in His image, our 7th grandchild.

“God, your Redeemer, who shaped your life in your mother's womb, says: "I am God. I made all that is. With no help from you I spread out the skies and laid out the earth." (Isaiah 44:24, THE MESSAGE)

At one point in the first trimester period, following another sonogram, the doctor came to Hannah, and with concern, told her there seemed to a problem in the formation. This one within her may have TAR Syndrome. Neither Hannah nor anyone else in the family knew what that was. In short, this little one appeared to be missing bones in the arms, specifically the forearms. The doctor told her she had an option – to abort or to continue the pregnancy.

Having been raised in a God-believing family, and being herself a strong Christian, Hannah firmly said no to the killing option. This child was going to continue life, for the Lord was his Creator. As the months moved on, it was confirmed that this baby, now known to be a boy, and prayefully named Levi Zachary, would come forth with a challenge before him and his family.

You can believe that his praying family, from great-grandma down to his cousins, were interceding with all the prayers we knew, for full development of Levi. How was he going to thrive in this world missing parts of his body? The usual questions were already being asked, as we sought the Lord for what we thought would be the perfect response.

On January 13, 2016, Little Levi came out, just 16 days before his mother’s birthday. He did not have the forearms, as earlier detected, which were missing. Within the first 14 days of life he needed four transfusions, to build up the platelets in his blood. But from the start, he has known his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles love, along with his six cousins. His older brother Payton also received this new addition into their family, with the Lord Jesus' special love and our thanksgiving for the Levi's life.

This little guy is a gift from our Lord. He will be cared for and raised in the knowledge of His Maker. Whatever comes his way, he will have the grace to be an overcomer, and fulfill the plans and purposes of the Lord.

Here is another interesting but encouraging demonstration of the Lord’s love. Hannah calls Little Levi “T-Rex”, and has spoken over him that he will be a warrior for the Lord’s work. Even in despite of missing those forearms, and other situations, we agree, He will be!

And then there is yet another, but simple, sign of the Lord’s heart for this beautiful creation of His. At a recent prophetic class I attended at MorningStar, our home church, a small brown bag containing items was passed out to each of the tables, with the teacher's instructions for each person at the table to draw out an item, ask the Lord for a word to share with another at the table, and give that word in the form of encouragement. No one at the table knew what things were in the bag.

The young mother seated next to me, who was to give a word to me, reached in the bag and drew out a very small, gray toy. It was a dinosaur. It was a T-Rex. She had no idea what that meant, and said so. But I did. I knew immediately it was a sign from the Lord to me.

Our Almighty God whom we serve has Little Levi in His heart. He always has, from the beginning of time, even before He began forming him in his mother’s womb. Little Levi is a “T-Rex”. He will be a warrior, a fighter, for the Lord’s purposes in His kingdom.

You and I don’t know all that the Lord has in store for us. We don’t know what all Levi will face as he continues to grow in the Lord’s love. But we certainly can stand on His promises that whatever those plans are, they are most certainly for good! For He is a great God! He is a Mighty Savior! He is the King of kings and the Lord of All!

We all face obstacles in our life. But we have the Victorious King who makes us overcomers. In His wisdom, honor and strength we too, like Little Levi, will find our place in His army and be the men and women, warriors all, to see His Kingdom come.

To this we can say, “Amen!”

So think on this,

TAR Syndrome

Thrombocytopenia Absent Radius Syndrome
What is TAR Syndrome?

Thrombocytopenia Absent Radius (TAR) Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder. It is characterized by low levels of platelets in the blood (thrombocytopenia), absence (aplasia) of the bone on the thumb side of the forearm (radius) on both arms, and underdevelopment (hypoplasia) or absence of the bone on the pinky-side of the forearm (ulna). Platelets are very important for normal blood clotting. Consequently, thrombocytopenia results in potentially severe bleeding episodes (hemorrhaging) primarily during infancy. Children with TAR Syndrome frequently have malformations of their hands, but their thumbs are always present. Other abnormalities may include malformations of the heart, legs, and hip sockets; kidney defects; and mental retardation resulting from bleeding in the skull.

The Arab War Against the Resurrection of the Dead By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - 2016 BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

The Arab War Against the Resurrection of the Dead

“Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fighteth in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleft in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, so that there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.” (Zechariah 14:4-5)
While Israel battles a horrific wave of Arab terror that has literally caused blood to flow in the streets, a lesser-known side of their jihad is going unseen: the Arab war against Jewish graves. Though less brutal than murder, Arab desecration of Jewish graves is a part of the same war that will not only establish whose land it is, but will also determine the nature of the coming Messiah.
One of the main targets for Arab vandalism is the  Mount of Olives and the thousands of Jewish gravesites located there. Gravestones are destroyed and mourners are attacked on a daily basis, requiring special security details to accompany Jews who visit the site.
The Mount of Olives has messianic and religious significance in addition to being an ancient burial site. It is referred to in the book of Zechariah, when he prophesied that the mountain will play an essential part in the Messiah, splitting in two (14:4), with one half shifting south.
The Mount of Olives, adjacent to the Temple Mount, was an integral part of the Temple service. It was where the Para Adumah (red heifer), the major component needed for ritually purity, was burned. Any attack on the Jewish claim to the Temple Mount as part of their religious heritage would necessarily include an attack on the Mount of Olives.
As a site of Biblical significance, and because of its proximity to the Temple Mount, it has been used as a Jewish cemetery for over 3,000 years, and contains over 150,000 gravesites, including the tombs traditionally identified with the Biblical figures Zechariah, Absalom, Haggai, and Malachi.
Religious Jews have always preferred to be buried on the Mount of Olives, since it is the place where the resurrection of the dead will begin. According to the Jewish tradition, people buried outside of Israel will have to burrow through the ground to arrive at the Mount of Olives in order to be resurrected there.
Considered a holy site by international accords, it is protected by international law. Nonetheless, during the Jordanian occupation of East Jerusalem from 1948 to 1967, an estimated 38,000 gravestones were damaged. Four paved roads ran over hundreds of graves, and Jordan’s King Hussein permitted the construction of the Intercontinental Hotel on the mount, destroying some gravesites from the First Temple period. Gravestones were removed and used for paving stones, and some were taken for use as latrines in Jordanian army barracks.
Olive Wood Pendants. Buy Now.
There was a sharp increase in vandalism on the Mount of Olives last September, congruent with the increase in violence against Jews in the Old City. Some gravesites are specifically targeted for vandalism. The grave of the Gerrer Rebbe, former leader of the largest Hasidic sect in Israel, is frequently vandalized. In September, a few hundred meters from where the Muslims were rioting on the Temple Mount, the gravestone of Nathan Mileikowsky, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s grandfather, was destroyed.
An even stranger, more perplexing, phenomenon has appeared in this war on the dead. In 2011, it was discovered the Arabs had begun burying their dead adjacent to the Eastern Wall of the Temple Mount, in between centuries-old Jewish graves and the Temple Mount. Not only was this illegal and destructive to the archaeology of the site, it was, in effect, jumping to the front of the resurrection queue.
Even stranger was when authorities caught Arabs preparing fake Muslim graves at the site, graves which contained no human remains, an action that can only be an attempt to distance Jews from being buried in the spot where the resurrection will begin.
It has also been conjectured that this is an attempt to prevent a Jewish Kohen (priest) from ever performing the ritual of the Red Heifer, since he is forbidden for reasons of ritual purity from walking over a grave, and he must do so in order to bring the ashes of the Red Heifer to the Temple. This is a mistaken belief, since the remains of a non-Jew do not carry impurity.
Breaking Israel News asked Rabbi Pinchas Winston, an authority on the end of days, about this war on the dead. He affirmed that the Arab violence on the Mount of Olives is clearly part of a war against the Messiah. However, he believes that the vandals may not be aware of why they are acting in this illogical manner. Even if they make claims that they are fighting for nationalistic goals, they are part of a greater plan.
“The perpetrators do not have to know the spiritual significance of what they do or where they do it. Everything is orchestrated on higher levels, and the people who carry out the deeds, acting compulsively, only have to believe that the idea originates with them,” he explained.
“In fact, they are merely merely puppets, vehicles for the Divine will to be carried in order to communicate to the spiritually astute the direction history is going and the stage it is at,” added Winston. “Those who are aware of the ‘bigger picture’ know the greater significance of current historical events, and to prepare for what is destined to occur next.”
